Postal code must have length 05: Solution

I am trying to create a business partner in solution manager and i am getting the message "Postal code must have length 05". Can anyone please help

Postal code & PO Box are linked and postal code is dependent on PO Box and this is dependent on country etc selected in the upper box
is it really necessary to maintain or are you going to print it somewhere....

Only enter the PO Box number in this field. The text "PO Box" is provided in the recipient language by the system when you print the address.
When you print an address, the "Street address" and the "PO Box address" are distinguished. The print program determines which of them has priority if both are maintained in an address record.

My mail icon is unresponsive and I cannot get my email up..I am a new owner..so this must have an easy solution

The iPad 1 can be updated to iOS 5.1.1. You can see what level you are running in Settings > General > About > Version.
If you are not at iOS 5.1.1 and if you are have iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

If you are on level 5 but not at 5.1.1 you can update to 5.1.1 using Settings > General > Software Update.
There are still many Apps which will run on iOS 5. Also, some developers have older levels still available for the iPad 1.

Postal Code fields

Hello,
Right now I have a postal code field set up to allow a certain format. Right now it will only let the user enter letters, numbers and spaces. I want to put a restriction on the field so that the user cannot enter a space in the field. I am having problems doing this though. Below is the script I am using in the EXIT event. Please let me know if you can offer any help.

You can try placing the below code in Change event with java Script.
This will restrict the input to numbers and letters only.

Wild Card Postal Codes in Transportation Zones and Postal Code Range in TCM

Hello Experts,
I have 2 queries on Postal Codes usability in SAP TM:
1. Postal Code Transportation Zones:
Business Scenario: Some countries have non-numeric Postal Codes and you can not maintain From and To Postal Code range. System supports Postal Code to be entered as Wild Card (XY1*) in Transportation Zone but does not respect them during charge calculation.
2. Postal Code Range in Rate Table:
There are standard Calculation Bases for Source/Destination Postal Code Range but these do not allow maintaining values like Source Postal Code Range (90100-90199) to Destination Postal Code Range (63100-63199). I am unable to understand the use of these 2 calculation bases since they do not accept range.

I start with the first question: Well, well, well. Probably one of the most underestimated topics in the transportation network. A bit of a background: Postal codes are alphanumeric meaning they allow numbers and characters. Of course for some countries only numbers are required and those are pretty easy to handle. Nevertheless, SAP produces global software and there are countries having postal codes with unfixed length, character first, in the middle, at the end. This makes ranges ugly, tough, sometimes impossible.
The range definition works alphanumeric, which is a position to position comparison based on single chars. You can check the inclusion results in excel or with any database. For the zone definition this can mean that you are forced to enter postal codes and no ranges. Of course this blows up the maintenance effort in the beginning, but ensures the correctness.
I was surprised by your comment that the zone definition allows '*' because this would make this whole thing even more complicated and error prone. I tested it and it does not work, at least for Germany. I think in the address definition per country you can define valid formats for postal codes and there '*' is not valid for Germany. The transportation zone location inclusion will not work with pattern!
In case you have manages to maintain this: I would advise to take the effort and enter at least valid ranges.

Check for the postal code of Belgium

I have a question with the postal code in the infotype 6.
Normally the Belgian postal code must be in 5 digits (4 chiffers and one letter).
But for some reasons, in my society we must use only the postal code on the 4digtis.
So I know that I must change the custo table V_T5B5C.
And check all the custo for this.
But I would like in the infotype 6, enter manually the name of the village.
Because In belgium, several villages want have the same postal code.
So I would like remove the check in the infotype 6 on the postal code. So I would like that the system don't return the name of the village related to the postal code.
Someone can help me on this subject ??

Sorry I'm not familiar with IDocs, but you could just update field ORT01 from the new client-specific field in the user-exit "after input" (ZXPADU02) if you want to keep ORT01 correct at all times.
To create a new field, just create (if not yet done) structure CI_P0006 in transaction SE11, give your field an ID (starting with Z) and a data type (probably the same as ORT01). This will then automatically appear in a new subscreen (of module pool ZP000600) if I remember correctly. Then, you can change your new subscreen if you like using the screen painter (transaction SE51)...

ITunes Store - Valid Postal Code

I'm trying to set up an account in iTunes Store and I keep encountering the same problem in the form field. It reads in red letters, "The Postal Code must be valid (such as V7H 1V5)." The rest of the form is okay.
I've tried two credit cards and addresses in both Canada and the UK over the past several weeks and get the same message every time (except with a different post code format for the two different countries of course).
The Postal Code I'm entering is correct in both cases and fits the suggested format in both cases as well. I've tried it with and without spaces and upper and lower case letters and can't seem to make sense of it. A google search only returns three pages and I can't find it on your forum so I wonder if I'm making a silly mistake somewhere.

I had a similar problem. By using "Dr" instead of "Drive" for my address, it worked correctly. I thought of doing this by checking how my address appears on google maps, so you might want to try that as well.

While creating shopping cart WE are getting a error "IN POSTAL CODE A NUMBER MUST REPLACE 2".
This error we are getting in basic information in first screen during shopping cart creation.
Note-Recently we have upgraded the system from 4.6c to ECC6.0.we are getting the error after upgrade.
please suggest a solution earliest .it is of high priority

As suggested earlier, Please ensure that user's Postal code starts with the correct format as per the country. Refer OY07 Transaction for more details.
Select for country Canada (CA), go in the details.
There is a tab there for Checks.
Either you can make the changes to country specific-checks changed in SRM / ECC systems.
1) Options to make Postal code mandatory or optional entry
2) Postal code mandatory or optional entry
3) Length of Postal code
check Rule (based on country settings)
Try Making changes there and then you can avoid this error message.

Hello experts,
I had a small doubt.
While going thro Vendor replication errors in SLG1, I see that many errors like postal code length, geocodes not mainatained etc are repeating..
We have tried syncing the two with know tables/config many times, but something new pops up each time.
My question here is that, do we have any report/config that needs to be scheduled/done to bring in the supporting config entries from ECC to SRM.
Any help/lead would be of great help.

Solution to switch off Postal code checks for countries Denmark and Norway

Client wants to switch off this functionality as the Postal codes in SAP are not updated.
The user should not have any difficulty in keying Postal codes and the City. The system should not check and must save the entries typed by the user
What are the possible ways of doing this? please help

There should definitely be a way in SAP to allow the user to enter the postal code and city
V_005_B is already unchecked
for denmark , sytem picks up postal code from Table -T5M8T.. how do I control the sytem not to check this table?

Hi,
Check the settings for the country you are maintaining the following path -
SPRO>>SAP NetWeaver>>General Settings>>Set Countries>>Set Country-Specific Checks.
In this check for the country what settings have been maintained for postal code. Also do a F1 to see the help on the checking rule field.

Query SQL code gets deleted after export to Excel. "Query must have at least one destination field"

Hi all,
I'm getting really frustrated by this Access error. It happens when I export the result of a query through an Access macro to Excel, the first time it runs well but the next time, there is a chance that the query won't run and the error "Query
must have at least one destination field" will be displayed. After that, I try to check the query SQL code and discover the code has vanished. I'm using simple Select query without joins, only "where", "group by" and "order by"
statements.
