I am unable to find the auto-zip feature mentioned in the following post within the Postal File Preparation tool.

I see that is also a useful item.
I was thinking that it might have been an auto-zip feature for files being output for upload to PostalOne!.

Postal File Preparation Zone Matrix Date

When uploading Mail.dat 09-1 and 11-1 files to PostalOne we have been getting a server side validation error and after several days of back and forth with PostalOne support, they say that the problem is a "0" in the Zone Matrix Date field of the .hdr file (position 731-738).
From testing what it looks like is happening is that the original files do not have the 0 and that the Postal File Preparation program adds it.
Currently, the users and/or tech support are having to open the finalzied files up and manually replace the 0's with spaces (which is rather bothersome and a little frustrating for the user when they make a mistake and have to export again).
The questions that I have are:
1. Is there a setting to change in PostPrep or field that we could clear so that the 0 does not get into the files ready for upload?
2. Is there already a modification to PostPrep being worked on to resolve this issue?

Yes, we are setting up the job correctly based on the release notes for 8.00c.08.00.
Here is a little more detail of what was going on and how I came to the conclusion that I about Postal Prep not working for the CPT record:
1. Ran Job with MB option set in Mailing Information section of Presort.
2. Mail.dat files (opened in Text editor) look good.
3. Users open in Postal Prep and make changes needed for scheduled trucking dates and other things.
4. Using Postal Prep the users opens, edits, and save changes to the Component record.
5. Mail.dat files (opened in Text editor) are missing the MB in field 282-283 is no longer there.
6. So I had them go back into Postal Prep to the Compenent record to fix the problem, but the "Postal Price Incentive Type:" field's drop down list does not have an option for MB.

I am hoping there's like a previously saved version of my file in iCloud somewhere.

No, iOS does not do short term incremental back ups to iCloud such as you get with Time Capsule.It backs up when you do soo manually, or if set properly, when the device is plugged in and connected to WiFi. It will not have saved your changes as of 10 minutes prior.

Auto-Suggest feature in Combo-box LOV is not displaying non-unique values

I have an auto-suggest feature implementation on a combo-box lov that displays the name and email-id of a list of people. There are non-unique names in the back-end, for example :
Abraham Mason [email protected]
Abraham Mason [email protected]
But when I use the auto-suggest feature and type in, say 'Ab', instead of showing both the Abraham Masons the auto-suggest displays only one of the values.
As in the example above the email-ids of the two Abraham Masons are different and unique.
If I use the conventional drop down menu of the combo-box then both the values are visible.
Is the auto-suggest feature implemented in a manner so as to display only unique values?

Hi,
don't find a bug entry about this, so if this indeed is a defect then this has not been filed. Do you have a test case ? If you have please zip it up and send it in a mail to me. My mail address is in my OTN profile (just click on my name until you get to the profile). Pleas rename the "zip" extension to "unzip" and mention the JDeveloper release you work with. The test case should work against the Oracle HR schema.
If you need to track the issue, I suggest to file a service request with customer support yourself

Auto zip problems

Have set up a script to auto backup the databases for addressbook and ical. Then i want to zip the folder it moves them to. Have managed to get the zip feature work but not exactly how i want it to. Basically when run it creates a zip but with a folder hierarchy that is in the path to the folder i want and not the actual contents of the folder. Probably something simple.

Excel file with auto-filter

I have a excel file with auto-filters (sort filters) i'm
trying to incorporate that into my web page via dreamweaver. what
is the best method on doing so? converting the file to any other
format will loose the auto-filter feature i have setup on the excel
file. any ideas would be appreciated.

Reordering pages: No auto renumbering feature?

I think I'm missing something here. I've changed the order of a few pages, and it went well. However, the original page numbers are intact, and now out of sequence.
Must I manually change all of my page numbers to reflect their new numerical order, then re-publish?
Trust me, I've checked the help file, and thoroughly searched the discussion forum, but find nothing about page renumbering - and certainly not an auto-renumbering feature.

Sorry, there is no pagination or page numbering on/off feature. Silly that such a basic function does not exist. Pages are numbered according to their order of creation, and so I had to renumber 30+ pages manually, and during the re-publish process I got an error message regarding one of the page numbers and I have no idea what it meant, nor how to correct the error.
Let us hope that a few of the very basic features that we have come to expect in a word processor - like auto pagination, will be included in the next iWeb patch or version upgrade.

Upgrading to Lion on MacBook Pro: Can I turn of that new auto save feature?

I am going to be upgrading (or downgrading - yikes!) to Lion.
Is there any way to turn off that new feature that saves every single version of a document?
And, will Lion in anyway change my years worth of stored files totalling 60 GB? It is important for me to preserve them intact for various legal purposes, i.e. I cannot have a document created or modified on June 1, 2002 changed to today's date. Could that happen?

Why? Are you under the mistaken impression that it stores multiple full copies of a document? That is not the case. Only the changes are stored to minimize the extra space used.
After all my years of seeing people wish for auto-save features, I never guessed that when they got it people would be wishing to NOT have it...

I think you're paying too much attention to people having problems. That's basically ALL you get here. This is where people come with problems. So the information you're getting here has a serious selection bias... you're not hearing what all the people who are NOT having problems have to say.

You're right, this is much more minor. I'm actually surprised by how quickly things seem to be calming down here. These forums were in a serious turmoil for months after SL's release!

How so? Again, it sounds like you're listening to the wrong people or pulling "facts" out of thin air. My MBP is just as customized in Lion as it was in SL, and is running quite smoothly.

IVR For Auto attendent Feature

We have a customer requirement for implementing the "AUTO ATTENDENT" feature. We have to prepare the IVR for the same. The requirement is "1 should directly reach the extension number and 9 should directly reach the operator".
Pl tell how to perform this IVR. We want it very professionally.

The way I setup Greetings Admin is
1. I create a CTI route point with an extension and set it to CallForwardAll to Voicemail.
2. Create a Call Handler in Unity with that Extension
3. Make you or the user who would be recording the prompts as the owner for the Call Handler. (In the Profile - select Owner - Subsriber - click Change - select the user)
4. Go to Greetings and Standard - In the Source - Select Blank - In the After Greeting Action Select Send Caller to - Scroll down and select Greetings Administrator.
It is setup now, you can call the extension you created and get to the IVR for Greetings Admin. To record Greetings for each Call Handler you would need to know the extension of the Call Handler and you the person recording prompts needs to be the owner for those Call Handlers.
If you want more than one users to be able to record prompts, then add them to a Public Distribution list in Unity and select the list as the owner in Step 3.

That's why you see this:
When I try to do the updates my computer says it has ready it goes through like it is downloading them then at the end it says some of the files could not be saved to "/" files.
After your restart your Mac, click the Apple  menu (top left in your screen) then click: Software Update ...

problems with .ARW files and auto toning
let me try to explain this because this has happened in past and never found a way to resolve but i lived with it
now that I have a Sony A7R the problem is more serious
Firstly i take pride it making the picture happen all in camera, i use DRO lvl 5 to get enough light, like when i'm shooting at dusk. DRO its like doing HDR but in a single file, it lightens the darks. in my camera i'm happy with results
but when I upload them to lightroom, they come out near black.
allow me to explain
lets say I import 100 images
i double check my preferences and everything is UNCHECKED when it comes to importing options, there is no auto toning, nothing.
as the images import i see a preview in the thumbnail which looks fine.
i double click on one to enlarge it, hence leave grid view.
for a brief 1 or 2 seconds, i see the full image in all its glory but than lightroom does something funny, it darkens the image
one by one as it inspects each image, if it was a DRO image it makes it too dark.
to make this clear, the image is perfect as it was in the beginning but after a few seconds lightroom for some reason thinks it needs to correct it.
how to prevent lightroom from doing this, i want the image exactly as it is, why must lightroom apply a correction>?
i think it has to do something with interpreting the raw file and lightroom applies its own algorithm.
but here is what i dont get.....before lightroom makes the change i'm able to witness the picture exactly as it was taken and want it unchanged..
now i have to tweak each file or find a profile for it which is added work.
any ideas how to prevent lightroom from ruining my images and just leave them as they were when first detected...
there are 2 phases...one is when it originally imports and they look fine
second is scanning each image and applying some kind of toning which darkens it too much.

i've disabled it now
thing is, there is no DRO jpg to download from the camera
its only ARW. so my understanding is when i use DRO setting, the camera makes changes to the ARW than lightroom somehow reads this from the ARW.
but then sadly reverts it to no DRO settings.
because i notice if i take normal picture in raw mode its dark but if i apply dro to it, it comes out brighter, yet when i d/l the image from camera to lightroom, which is an ARW - there are no jpgs. lightroom decides to mess it up
so in reality there is no point in using DRO because when i upload it lightroom removes it.
is there a way to tell lightroom to preserve the jpg preview as it first sees it.
its just lame, picture appears perfect...than lightroom does something, than bam, its ruined,.
what do i need to do to prevent lightroom from ruining the image? if it was good in the first place.

I am passing one pdf file and one text file to zip file in apllication server through my custom program and then downloading it using standard function module to my desktop. its working fine. Then I added another pdf file to my zip file. But only single pdf file is getting download . So can you please help me regardiong this issue?

I am getting grey background while saving pdf file as a ZIP file in IE browser like below screen shot
The pdf open properly but when I click on save button on below screen it become grey.
The file is getting saved properly.
But the same thing working fine in firefox(I will not become grey while saving)
we are using adobe 11 version.
