Posterimage.jpg File Origination and information

Ok group, i have what is now an exploded 3gs due to battery expanding; however, prior to this I was conducting the following:
-     I was reviewing the folder system with direct connect from ifunbox and iphonebrowser.  Note:  the phone was not unjailed so I had no direct access into the private root folders.
          -     I located a file in the Media/Photodata/Misc directory labeled as Imageposter.jpg.  The image is a 55x55 image that was dated created on 8/8/2010.
what has me confussed is that I do not know where this image came from at all.  There is no matching image file and there is no available video where the thumbnail would have come from.
Also, the phone was steadly used through 2010 and 2011.  So why would this imageposter.jpg file be replaced by something more recent.
Is this a thumbnail from a poster image to a video, e-mail attachment?  Please help me understand where this file originates...
Last question, if the phone is a 64 gb iphone 3 - would the trash bin / trash file be included in the itunes back-up?  Could I restore to a working phone and try to access the information or could I get the iphone fully repaired to get the hidden folders back... at this point i'm investigating the history of this mystery image.

Your best option is to get a copy of IMAQ, which integrates seamlessly into LabVIEW and is to do exactly what you are asking for.

    hi,
please note that DMS BAPIs require always a SAPGUI channel or open RFC
connection to start the SAPHTTP/SAPFTP program that is used to up- or
download files to the client. If the BAPI ist executed in background
mode, the system doesn't know from where to get the original file.
Please do not use BAPIs in background mode, use APIs instead. They are
more flexible regarding RFC calls (background processing). Please read

  • File origin and destination wrong

I captured files on my Core 2 duo with P Pro 1.5 and Canopus DV Rex like I always do when I am transferring VHS. I moved the external drive to my CS6 machine to use the Media Encoder. I load up multiple files to encode and when I start the process I get a fail for each file. When I check the log it is showing the origin and destination of the file from a previous project. Every file has the same info!!!
    Any thoughts??
Also the video is not viewable in CS6. The audio is fine but the video is green or just not there. It plays fine in Edius.?? It plays in Media Player and VLC.

The bank must transmit the file with the Destination, Origin and Lockbox identifiers in the exact format as they have been created in SAP lockbox configuration.  Otherwise, the file will be improperly read by the lockbox and posting will not properly occur.
Origin = the transmission point of the cash (i.e. lockbox number)
Destination = the internal target for the cash (i.e. company code)

  • The latest .key I created is huge,  .... Finder shows it as 5GB.  Other .key of similar slide total are about 300-500MB.  There is nothing different about this one.  It is just .jpg files (photos) and text.  No movies, no audio.  Why so big??

    iMac.  2.4GHz.  Core 2 Duo.  2GB SDRAM.  OS - 10.9.5.   Keynote - 6.2.2 v.1878.
I just completed a keynote slide show.  The Finder indicates it is 5.25GB.  It is 200 slides, no movies, no audio of any kind, no special transitions.  It is just photos and some added text explanations.  The individual photos are each 5-6MB, with about 190 photos total.  I have other previous .key's about the size in terms of the number of photos and they are showing in the Finder as taking up 300-500MB.  There is nothing different with this one particular presentation.  I usually organize and store my photos using .key after a trip.  Photos are downloaded into iPhoto (7.1.5) and then I build a keynote presentation by copying the photos as .jpg's out of iPhoto and into Keynote, with text as notes on or under each photo.  Something changed with the latest keynote in terms of file size.  But I can't determined why it required 5.25GB of disc space while other .key's of the approximate same size and content are only taking 10% of that amount.  Anyone have an idea what is going on with keynote is this particular instance???  I know I could compress it, but I want to understand why the last time I used keynote the file size was so huge.    Thanks for the help.

Some additional information.  In looking at the package contents info, under the DATA Folder there are several entries for each slide/photo in the .key presentation.  There is a long list of contents that shows each image as:
        pasted-image-1234.png
and a second list right below that identifies each image again in the .key as:
        pasted-image-small-1234.png
Both of these lists show image files of 15-25MB for each photo, even though the original .jpg photo was 4-6MB.  They list/show all of the images in the .key, but DO NOT show the added text.  So it appears the package contents indicates two separate .png files for each photo in the .key, but the file size for each is 3-5 times greater than the original .jpg that was copy/pasted from iPhoto.  And for some reason there are two copies of each.
There is also a list for the two following image/data files:
        pasted-image-small-small-1234.png
        st12-1234.png
Both of these lists show a file size of 100-200KB for each image, and again show all of the images in the.key.
Only the st-xx-xxxx.png list of images also show the added text.
Again it appears when I created the Keynote presentation by copy/paste images from iPhoto, Keynote stored multiple copies of each image as .png file several times larger than the original .jpg.   The completed Keynote slide show is so large is almost impossible to work with.  The system is so slow that routine commands are not completed, e.g., trying to "save as" into a .pdf never finishes and I have to "force quit".
Still trying to determine why this occurred with the 6.2.2 version.  Any chance I can delete all but the st-xx-xxxx image list and get back to a normal file size??

  • Iphoto doesn't save my photos a jpg. file anymore, and i have no idea why..

Iphoto usually saves your photos as jpg. as you know
    mine no longer does that..
when i look up the pictures in their folders it simply has their title but not the jpg.
    format.
This means it's IMPOSSIBLE to upload them to imageshack or other photo hosting sites,
    how do i fix it?
    Thankyou

I'd guess the files are still jpeg, but the extensions are hidden. Go to the Finder preferences window, click Advanced, and make sure "Show all file extensions" is checked.

  • How to keyword both NEF and JPG files?

I use a Nikon D300 and shoot NEF+JPG. I ingest the files to my hard drive using Downloader Pro and then import them into Lightroom. Lightroom apparently "stacks" the NEF and JPG files together, and the thumbnail is shown as filename.NEF+JPG. When I keyword the files, the keywords are applied only to the XMP sidecar to the NEF file, and not to the JPG files.
While I guess this "NEF+JPG" is called a stack, this appears to be some kind of special stack, as I cannot unstack the images and keyword them separately. Selecting "Stacking->Expand all stacks" does nothing. "Stacking->Unstack" is disabled.
How can I get the keywords applied to the JPG files as well as to the NEF/XMP files?
    Thanks.
    Guy

OK, I found that option and will try it.
What's the best way of recovering the directories I have already imported with NEF+JPG files? I presume I could delete those directories from the LR database and import them again. (I have enabled the option always to write to XMP.)
That would, I hope, give me both NEF and JPG files showing up in LR. Is there an easy way to copy the keywording from each NEF to the corresponding JPG file?
    Thanks.

  • More jpg file corruption

I've had another jpg file corrupted in the same manner as before and this time the file hasn't been touched recently by anything but LR. My second copy was also corrupt because I "back up" too often. Fortunately, it's easy for me to get files back from my internet backup, which is written only once. To get to my CDs or DVDs would require digging in a closet.
To me this brings a lot of issues to the fore with jpg handling, both what I do with them and what LR does with them. First, if you are going to rewrite files frequently (I only write metadata on demand, not automatically) then you have to know how to do it safely! On my side, it may be stupid to write it out -- nope, not, because I have to in order to edit in PS and retain the metadata. I have almost innumerable LR backups and the metadata is in there. I have considerable experience now in plopping in an absolute original file and LR happily applies everything to it. Hum. I'm forgetting the PS edits which would not be backed up with this plan.
The existence of 1 to 1 previews makes it very slow to SEE a problem in LR. I haven't used these files for months until the 9th when I started working on them. The first day or so it was grinding a lot, obviously making previews. So the good preview of this file had to be made on the 9th or a bit after so the file was OK at that time. In fact, everything looked fine until I decided to edit a copy of the file in PS. It stumbled and flickered the screen and then created a preview with only the top third or so of the file intact and the bottom part "faded." These appear to still be (almost) valid jpg file, but the content has been damaged.
I have used jpg files for years and I don't remember a time when I've had jpg file corruption. I may have forgotten an instance, but it doesn't come to mind. I've had 3 or 4 them now with LR.
These jpg files were created from scans and I have manipulated them to put the capture date, date digitized, and some global type information. I use exifer, a product that's been used for many years by many people (and not updated recently). If exifer is a problem, why only a handful of corruptions in thousands of files?
It's difficult to have a sensible backup plan except to keep the originals somewhere really safe. Even with metadata writing turned off by default, these files churn. I cannot keep every version of jpg files. And keeping the old files for a short period does not help because bad files don't show up in LR under many circumstances because of the preview files.
I don't know if this is relevant but I never had this happen with LR 1.0.
This is very worrisome and I'm going to get grouchy soon! You guys with RAW are really lucky that LR doesn't write to your files! I'd now love to have an option of a sidecar file which I could write to the jpg only when I'm ready to and have a way to check that the resulting file is still intact.
Of course I haven't proven there isn't an issue with my disk drive, but I've now proven it to myself that there's a very high probability that LR is corrupting jpg files when writing out metadata. I would like to hear if others using jpg files have had corruptions.

Hi, I too also have just experienced jpg corruption. It was a jpg that had been taken several years ago and had not been edited at all. The bottom left hand corner had been transposed from the right hand side. The result of this was the whole bottom 1/5 of the picture was shifted to the right. Also the color of the shifted portion was slightly different from the rest. This is the first jpg corruption in Lightroom I have seen. My backup was the same but fortunately I had a copy on DVD. I am using Windows version of Lightroom 1.2, tried 1.3 and decided to go back to 1.2
Does anyone know if this type of corruption only happens to jpg files. Would it be worthwhile marking them all read-only. I plan to check my other jpgs to see if there are any more corruptions. I mainly shoot RAW now and convert to DNG

  • Image Processor Jpg Files Cause LR to Stop Working

    Photoshop CS3 and Lightroom 1.4.1
Vista Ultimate 64 / 8 Gig Ram / Lots of Hard Drive space on Scratch Drive
nVidia 8800 GTS w/640 MB Ram
    Image files processed in Photoshop
Exported via: File > Scripts > Image Processor (IP)
IP settings are default except the jpg output is set to 12/max
From the same PSD file, no modifications in PS
One file will cause LR to crash ("A problem caused the program to stop working correctly) the next does not.
Both jpg files open and display without a problem in...
    - Photoshop
    - Adobe Camera Raw
    - Microsoft Office Picture Viewer
    - Apple Quicktime Picture Viewer
    - Windows Explorer (thumbnails)
I have saved two otherwise identical files, one crashes LR every time, the other opens in LR fine, every time.
This has been occurring in about 3 out of every 100 files saved via IP.
The next time LR is opened it crashes again if the 'bad' file is not renamed or deleted due to the automatic file updating process.
Trying to import 100 files requires importing them one at a time when this happens because there is nothing to indicate which file cause LR to break during the batch import.
If Adobe Tech Support would like the two 'identical' files they can email me and I'll send them along.

  • UIImage and original jpg file data

    Hi,
i've encountered a strange behaviour in my iphone app that i didn't expect when using UIImage.
I would really need your expert help.
Assuming i have a jpg file (lets say.. somewhere in my app sandbox).
I load the image to UIImage using - UIImageInitWithContentsOfFile.
After that i use the UIImageJpegRepresentation and NSData object to write the image back as a file.
when i compare the original jpg file to the new one i just saved i see that the images are NOT the same !
Well, they look the same, but when i take a close look at both images i see a drastic change in the image's data (such as color space differences).
So, my question is - every time i use the UIImage object the original jpeg file data will be replaced when i write back to disk the same image ?
Isn't there a way to pass through the UIImage object but obtaining the EXACT same jpeg as a result ?
will my jpeg file data will change everytime i use UIImage ?
my app is really depended on jpg data consistency and i would like to know if that's possible..
    please... need help.
    thanks.

    Hi,
    thanks.
i still don't understand - is it possible to hold the jpeg data as raw data of an image which was picked using the ImagePickerController (i.e an image from the photo library). as i understand, since the picker controller gives me back an UIImage, the original jpeg data of the image file (the image from the photo library) is not available anymore because the UIIMage representation of the image is a bitmap (which means the photo library image was decompressed to be held by the UIImage).
what i really need is to hold the original jpeg raw data of the jpeg file of the image that was picked from the photo libray. it seemed to me that after i get the UIImage from the controller and save it to my sandbox as a jpeg, the original image from the photo library and the new saved image are not the same in terms of size and color space.

  • Automated Locate and Move .JPG Files HELP!

I am trying to locate and move all .JPG files on my MacBook running OS X 10.6. I need a Script that will locate all .JPG files no matter where they are on the hard drive and move them [not copy] to a specified folder titled "JPG PHOTOS" that is on my desktop. I am then going to move that folder with all of the images to an external hard drive.
I am very new to scripting.

You do not say how many files or duplicates are involved but here is a simple bash script which you can paste into Terminal and then hit return.
    find "/Users/neville" -name "*.JPG" -exec mv -n {} "/Users/neville/All JPG Photos" \;
    Notes:
Make a full backup before you do this - mv can be dangerous
A simple mistake - such as not creating the destination folder can destroy files
This is not a copy script it moves files - so original path information will be lost
Change source and destination as required
May have to do it again for jpg
The -n  ensures nothing is overwritten
Do it repeatedly with slightly different destinations to get duplicates
The script could be modified to auto-renumber duplicates - GNU bash has a 'backup' option for this
If there are a large number of JPG files a batch modification may be required

  • Is it possible to ignore and not import JPG files when a JPG and raw file of the same name exist?

Is it possible to ignore JPG files on import? I shoot raw + JPG and see no reason to keep the JPGs; I shoot JPG primarily as a backup (I back all the JPGs up online to my smugmug account then delete them before importing the raw files), but they're also occasionally handy if one wants to get a quick print in the field. I know that one can set a preference to "Treat JPEG Files Next to Raw Files As Separate Photos", but even then they still are imported.
As an example, say I have this scenario (not on DSLRS, but on pNs cameras, sometimes a JPG but not raw is captured - I suspect this has to do with how the buffer is filling) with these files on a memory card:
    IMG_0001.JPG
    IMG_0001.CR2
    IMG_0002.JPG
    IMG_0003.JPG
    IMG_0003.CR2
When I import pictures from this folder, I'd like 2 CR2 files and 1 JPG to be imported. I'm even willing to copy the relevant files and drag and drop them onto LR's Library module. But even if I do that, all five files get imported. Thanks!

For this typical example 98% of the image files are transferred while LR is building previews, which is exactly what I was suggesting be avoided.
No, I don't believe that's correct. As I said in my previous post, Lightroom's Import is a two-stage process.....first copy the files from the card, then when that is finished, render whatever previews have been requested.
AFAIK there is nothing unusual about my system, Lightroom has always imported in this two-stage way as far back as I can remember. Based on this I see no 'safety' benefit from copying files first outside Lightroom, then using an ADD import process. On the contrary, as this takes away the possibility of using the "Second Copy on Import" option, as well as having to manually setup import folders, I see nothing but downside from that approach.
Mea culpa, Jim is correct! I checked my Windows 7 system with LR4.2 and I monitored the 'Destination folder' during an import direct from memory card to hard drive. 'Copy and import' showed in the progress bar until all image files were visible using Windows Explorer in the 'Destination folder.' Only after all files had transferred did the progress bar change to ‘Render 1:1 Previews.’ I started using LR1.0 on a Pentium 3 single-core system with Windows XP 32 bit, which I think is when I made this observation. Regardless, it is clear that LR4.2 is using a two-step import process. Thanks Jim for being persistent!
It still begs the question why some people are experiencing very slow imports, damaged image files, and other related import problems from memory cards? My guess (and it's only a guess) is that they have 1) 'Rename Files,' 2) 'Automatically write changes into XMP,' or 3) 'Include Develop settings in metadata inside JPEG, TIFF and PSD files' checked in LR preferences. It would be a good idea for anyone experiencing import issues to try an import with these three (3) options unselected.
My apologies to the OP DBarman for going off topic. Hopefully the extra information and observations are helpful.

  • After editing a photo, I sometimes get an error message that the "File is empty".  Can revert to original and start again, but file disappears after editing.

So frustrating!  I open the photo.  Edit by cropping, adjusting color, etc.  It's perfect.  I click DONE and move on to the next.  When I come back, the first photo is gone.  I can see it in the album but cannot open it.  When I look at the file information, it shows zero KB.  If I move it to the desktop and try to open it, the error message says the file is empty.  I can revert to original and there it is.  Edit again, and again it disappears.  What am I doing wrong?  I am using iPhoto 09

You shooting with a Nikon? We've seen a few examples of this bug with Nikons on 09 and 10.6, with no solution except to upgrade.

  • Deskjet 3050 does only print JPG files in color - all other docs are only printed in black and white

    Dear All,
I have a problem with my Deskjet 3050 Printer. (USB connected with my laptop).
My printer won't print colored documents in color but only in black and white (except for JPG files (photos) which are printed in color.
Word documents or PDF files (for example) are always printed in black and white - even if these are in color.
Copying colored pages with my printer is no problem.
This works perfectly well. The printer is connected to my PC via USB.
The cartridges (color and black and white) are practically new and original HP cartridges.
Could the problem be related to the printer settings which I might have changed by accident.
Thanks in advance for your advise.

  • Hidden .avi and .jpg files

I see that I have some .AVI and .JPG files that are hidden in iphoto that I thought I had deleted. Some are in a folder that is labeled "untitled folder". I googled and searched to see if there is any way to retrieve these pictures and movie clips and delete them for good but so far I haven't found any answers. I can get to the untitled folder by doing a seach in finder for .avi or .jpg. There are acutally a couple I would like back in my iphoto library but it won't let me drag them in there. I'd be glad if anyone has ideas! Thanks

Hi LN. When I mentioned the untitled folder to someone from Apple when I had some other problems with iphoto they told me that somehow in a previous version of iphoto that my pictures had been saved some other place then the original and modified folders and that it had created it's own folder- either at that time or when I upgraded. So now I have this folder with no way to access what is in it. They wouldn't address the question when I called because we were dealing with this other issue and so it has been left unresolved... thanks!
