Posting a Distribution of inventory Difference

Hello,
I have generated a ditribution to a product cost collector of an inventory difference (CKMDUVMAT). When I go to post it in the system occurs an  error.
I´ve customized in the system some movements in the table TDUVN156, one of this is Z11 as a copy of movement 711, but when i go to post it in the system occurs an error: "No movements types found for Z11".
Anyone knows why occurs that error?
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi
W/o ML, you cant achieve this...
if your Prod process is farily stable and qty variances are not much i.e. the only major reason for variances are the prices - Then you can adopt this workaround

  • Process for posting inventory difference

    Dear sir,
Can i know the process and transactions for posting differences of inventory in SAP

    Hi,
You can Post Inventory Difference through Physical Inventory Count.
Tcode MI01 - Create PI Document
MI04 - Enter Count - This is where you actually enter the Counted Inventory(Stock)
MI07 - Post Inventory Document - The Qty you enter gets posted in the system.
This is for matching the actual Inventory viz a viz the Inventory in the system.
    e.g.
You have a material # 100XXXXXX lying in a Plant XXX SLoc YYY and the Qty in system is 100 Nos.
The Actual Physical Stock in Plant XXXX SLoc YYY is 104 Nos.
You would need to match the System Stock with the Actual Stock, and therefore you will Create the PI document, Enter the actual count (104 Nos.) and Post it . The Books are matched with the Physical Stock of that Item.
Check the Stock in Report MB52 or MB5B
    Hope this helps,

  • Error when posting inventory differences

We receive an error when trying to post an inventory difference with MI07.  The error message is "Account xxxxxx requires an assignment to a CO object" (SAP message KI235).  I've looked at the account, which is a cost element, using KA02 and there is a default cost center entered on the default account assignment tab.  Our issue is that we have multiple plants with inventory.  The default cost center is for plant 1 but we are trying to post an inventory difference for plant 2.  We shouldn't have to change the default cost center in KA02 everytime we post an inventory difference to plant 2.  What configuration change do I need to make so I can post inventory differences to both plants without having to change the default cost center for the cost element?  Both plants reside in the same controlling area but the cost centers are different.

    Hi,
Maintain default Cost Center for Cost Element based on Valuation Area (Plant) in OKB9.
Here maintain the Co. Code, Cost Element, and select Acct Assignment detail indicator as '1' i.e. Valuation area is mandatory. Now select the entry and double click on "Detail per business area/valuation area" in dialog structure and click New Entries and then specify the Valuation Area (Plant) and Default Cost Center for the Plant.

  • Select cost center for physical inventory difference posting

    Hello,
While posting physical inventory differences (transactions MI07 or MI10) the choice of cost center is not offered. A default cost center is used by the system.
Is there a way to choose the cost center for inventory difference postings? This is useful considering we have several inventories managed by several business units with different cost centers.
    Kind regards,
    Sergei Volkov

this is from OSS note 13423:
    Symptom
    Key word: Inv acct assign
No account assignment can be entered when posting inventory
    discrepancies.
    Additional key words
    MI07
    Cause and prerequisites
    This function is not implemented.
    Solution
In Customizing an account assignment can be made for every inventory
adjustment account. To do this the inventory adjustment account must
first be defined as a cost element (Transaction KA01 / KA06):
Accounting -> Controlling -> Cost centers -> Master data -> Cost element
-> Create primary / secondary. Then an account assignment can be made
for the cost element (Transaction OKB9):
    Tools -> Customizing -> Setup menu -> Accounting -> Controlling -> Cost
centers -> Actual postings -> Automatic account assignment.
If this account assignment is implemented every posting to the
particular inventory adjustment account will automatically receive the
    appropriate account assignment.

  • Bonded Warehouse Inventory Differences

    Hello,
I set up Scraping and Inventory differences for Bonded Warehouse, Scrapping and Posting of positive differences to customs warehouse using a customs declaration, but for negative values it does not work.
Wnen I try to finalize the Posting of Inventory differences in the GTS System I get the following error messages
When posting negative values to free Circulation:
Error while creating the customs declaration; creation was canceled
    Message no. /SAPSLL/CUS_CUWL076
    Diagnosis
An error occurred while creating the customs declaration; creation terminated.
    Procedure
This error can occur under the following circumstances:
Customizing for customs declarations and/or customs process documents is incomplete
Check the settings for document type and item category
    Check the document type determination
An error occurred in inventory management
A reservation could not be performed
Insufficient stock to cover the requirement is available in the system
Inventory management has not been configured and/or activated
In this case, use the stock lists to check the stock situation. After further postings are received, the stock situation may change such that the postings are then possible.
    Can anyone help?

  • Posting during a physical Inventory

We are in the process of a Physical Inventory. We created a physical inventory document and block the material, executed the count for a material but we haven't posted the physical inventory differences and the system is allowing to register good issues from warehouse. Is this correct? How can I block the material until de inventory differences are posted?
    Thanks.

Make sure POSTING BLOCK was checked in MI01, not FREEZE BOOK INVENTORY.
Second, when count is entered without difference, system will release the posting block as there is no difference.

  • List of Inventory Differences: Difference Amount

    Hi,
I am trying to figure out how SAP calculates for the Difference Amount (ISEG-DMBTR) in the MI20 transaction.
When I check the ISEG table, the value is 0.00 unless the difference is posted. When the difference is posted that is when the value shown in transaction MI20 is written to the ISEG-DMBTR table.
Where does the system get the value (Difference Amount) shown in transaction MI20 before posting the difference? or how is it then calculated?
    Thanks,
    Lee

    Hi,
When you post inventory differences, the material master record is changed, total stock is automatically adjusted to the counted quantity. From the accounting point of view, this corresponds to a goods receipt or goods issue, meaning that when the inventory difference is posted, the stock account is debited or credited:
If the counted quantity is smaller than the book inventory balance, the stock account is credited with the following value, inventory difference x price. The offsetting entry is made in the "Expense from physical inventory" account.
If the counted quantity is greater than the book inventory balance, the stock account is debited with the value of the inventory difference x price. The offsetting entry is made to the "Income from physical inventory" account.
Since the amount posted is calculated on the basis of the current standard or moving average price, posting inventory differences does not lead to a price change.
    Hope this clarifies.
    Thanks,
    Viswanath

  • Avoid posting of realized exchange rate differences in 2nd local currency

    Dear SAP fans,
The situation here in our company is that a company code is set up with NZD as 1st and EUR as 2nd local currency (currency type 30 "Group currency" for EC-CS consolidation).
Therefore, all postings (and balances) are also translated and saved in EUR (with the current exchange rate).
We now have an open item managed G/L account for prepaid expenses, which is used to collect postings which are then cleared later. It's however no payable/receivable account for vendors/customers. Therefore, it doesn't make sense to post realized exchange rate differences when clearing this account. This is however what SAP wants to do when we try to clear it.
For example, if I post today 100 NZD and two months later again 100 NZD to this account. If the NZD vs. EUR exchange rate changed in the meantime, then SAP won't let me clear this account without posting realized exchange rate differences, which makes however no sense.
Does anyone of you meet this problem before? Could you please give me a hint?
I thought about setting the "Only balances in local currency" indicator in the G/L account master but this helps only for differences between local and document currency (and not for differences in 1st and 2nd local currency).
    Any help is highly appreciated!
    Thanks and best regards,
    Peter

    Dear Padma,
Thanks for your answer. The customizing activities you mentioned are already set up in the system. This is not our problem.
The problem is however, that we don't want SAP to post automatically realized exchange rate differences between 1st and 2nd local currency as this doesn't make sense in this business case.
It's about an open item managed G/L account which is used to collect posting which are later cleared. It's not a payable/receivable account for customers/vendors where the posting of realized exchange rate differences makes sense.
We've thought about several solution which unfortunately all didn't help us:
    - Don't setup realized exchange rate differences accounts or set them up only for group currency (in OB09)
    - Set indicator "Only balances in local currency" in G/L master data
    Best regards,
    Peter

  • Physical Inventory Difference List

    Hi SAP Gurus,
Is there any T-Code other than MI20 for getting Physical Inventory Difference List. We want Physical Inventory No. (IKPF-INVNU) and Physical Inventory Ref (IKPF-XBLNI) both in the list. But in MI20 only Physical inventory No. is visible.

  • Post Handling Unit Physical Inventory Document

    Hi Experts,
Is there a BAPI or a FM to post/clear the physical inventory document created for a handling unit? The manual transaction used in this is 'HUINV05'.
If there is no BAPI or FM, kindly help in finding a way how to capture in recording the commands executed in an ALV.
    Points will be rewarded.
    Thanks...

    HI
In the transaction OB52 please change for all account types, since you have changed only for type S which is general, please do change for the rest of the account types like M for material, k for vendor, D for customer as well.
    Hope this helps.

  • Material Ledger - Inventory Difference Postings ( DUV )

    Dear all,
I am working on getting this functionality to work and I would like to include all inventory difference
related movement types. Is this possible with using the follow-on movement types? I think it is, but
would like an answer from some of you.

    Hi Sridhar,
    thanks for the feedback.
I have one more question. The SAP Documentation states that
"If you want to distribute inventory differences, you must set the indicator distribute differences"
Can you or someone else tell me where to set this indicator?
    Thanks and kind regards,

  • List of Physical Inventory Differences

    Hi,
I want the list of Physical Inventory Difference.
Means we want Book Qty, Count Qty & Diff. Qty against the Material. From which t.code we can find it.
    Regards...

    hi mate,
If you want to see the physical inventory differences for a particular material in a plant then go for tcode MI20, it would be convenient.
If you want to see the physical inventory differences across the company code for more than one plant under the company code and list of materials, then go for tcode MIDO.
In tcode MIDO, we have  to give the company code, plant(s) that should be included, material type (if any) and the stock types for which you want to see the inventory differences.

  • GTS -- Overview of Inventory Differences

    Hi Guys,
I just found one article which do have a wrong stock-ID assigned.
If I look into GTS -- Overview of Inventory Differences, I see the possibility to process, but I can't as the stock-ID is wrong.
Is there any way to fix that directly in GTS? I couldn't find anything so far.
Would be great if I could get some hints.
    best regards
