Posting a notice on lock screen

How can I post a statement or notice on the lock screen of my iPhone 6?

The simplest way is to write a note in the Notes app and then take a screenshot, by pressing Home button and On/Off button together. Then go to photos and make that photo your lock screen wallpaper. If you want something more sophisticated, there are apps available in the App Store which do this. abcNotes is one.

Siri on iOS 6 lets me post to FB from lock screen

From the lock screen (password protected phone), I am able to post to FB by asking Siri to open "Facebook" and either speak or type my message (The phone is locked, all the while).
So, could someone not abuse my FB by posting even when my phone is locked ?

Why are you leaving your phone where untrustworthy people can pick it up? My debit card requires a pin but I still wouldn't leave it where it could be picked up as there are still things that can be done with it.
Of course this can be turned off by denying access to Siri from the lockscreen all together, but that eliminates a lot of other things too that are convenient.
There is always a trade off between security and convenience. Apple gives you the option to have the security you're asking for. Until such time as they change the system, you'll need to decide which is more important to you, security or convenience.

Lock screen wallpaper does not appear in the lock screen

I just reset my iphone 4 running iOS5 and set it up as a new iPhone. Everything appeared fine until I noticed the Lock Screen wallpaper I assigned does not appear after I lock it. The home screen wallpaper does. I hope someone can tell me how to fix this.

Settings --> Wallpaper --> (select whichever image or photo you want to use) --> Set, choose Lock Screen, Home Screen, or Both

So after updating my ipod touch 3rd gen to 4.3.1 i noticed a lag everytime i turn it back on. it stays on the lock screen for minutes sometimes hours. the screen is usually unresponsive the only things usually changing are the time and battery percentage.

so aafter upsating my touch to 4.3.1 i have noticed everytime i restart the ipod there is a huge lag at the lock screen. the screen only updates itself every three to five minutes only updating the time and battery status. i cannot do anything, usually it will stay like this for minutes sometimes hours. i have tried restoring it and thought updating will fix the problem but it hasn't yet. i currently have ios 4.3.3. recently i had a friend look into the ipod and he told me on a folder called damaged files he found this, 37c3ad com.apple.autowake.plist. how can i fix this?

The iPhone update 8.3 (12F70) is making my home screen wallpapers darker than the picture itself. Even if I set the same picture as home and lock screen wallpaper, the home screen image is noticeably darker. How can I change this?

Is anyone else noticing the same issue?
I'm really unhappy with the upgrade, the darker home screen images alters the coloring and detracts from the overall "light" feeling.

Block unwanted messages. On a contact card, tap Block this Caller. You can see someone’s contact card while viewing a message by tapping Contact, then tap the "i" with the cirle. You can also block callers in Settings > Phone > Blocked. You will not receive voice calls, FaceTime calls, or text messages from blocked callers.

Has anyone else noticed an issue with the new mail icon on the lock screen?

After updating to iOS 8 there is a new mail icon on the lock screen. When I slide it up I get this message:
"Failed to continue activity- the connection to your other device may have been interrupted- Please try again"
After trying again and again I get the same message and I do not have the "other device" that it mentions. I'm not sure what is going on, does anyone have any ideas?

Nope, have not seen this issue or have this issue myself. Try going into Settings and toggling off that email account, toggle back on and then send a test email to yourself. If it still persists, delete the email account and re-add and try again.

Yoga 8 and 10 - KitKat 4.4.2 - Lock Screen Display

After upgrading to KitKat 4.4.2, some customers report the lock screen on their Yoga 8 or 10 tablets (B6000-F/H or B8000-F/H) does not display the application currently running when it is tapped to unlock. This is noticable when music is being played and the cover art does not show on the lock screen.
Please note that Lenovo has escalated internally on this issue. I was personally able to reproduce these reports.

KitKat OTA V28 was released on January 26th. It should resolve this issue.
If you are not currently running this update, you can download it by going to Setting - About tablet - System upgrade. Your device will then check to see what updates are available. These updates for the Yoga Tablet 8 and 10 (B6000 and B8000) begin with "A442_001_028"
Please note that if you have several updates to install, the device may only allow you to install two per day and the installation process may take several days to complete.

Pro Camera requires password entry on lock screen

Of course, as soon as it was available on my Lumia 925, I set the Nokia Pro Camera as the default app to launch when the camera button is pressed. I noticed though, that when the phone is locked, the Pro Camera app won't launch unless I enter the lock screen password. The default camera app did not require this, instead allowing you to take new pictures. Having to enter the password can be a spontaneity killer when the right shot presents itself.
Is this a 'feature' of Pro Camera, or is there some setting where I can change this behavior? If it is indeed a 'feature', please consider allowing access to the app without having to enter the lock screen password, just like the default camera app does.

Unfortunately, there is no way to change this behaviour as of now. This is very frustrating and limits the startup time of ProCamera app, which can lead to some precious moments from getting missed!
I think this is a limitation of Windows Phone OS.

Bug: Lock screen / Simple PIN freezes up (Pre 2, webOS 2.0.1)

I have a Palm Pre 2 (North America, unlocked) and have experienced the same bugs in the lock screen with both version 2.0.0 and 2.0.1:
When the Simple PIN secure unlock is activated, and the phone is left alone for a while, the next time an unlock is attempted the normal Simple PIN cloudy background is shown but without any number pad or other controls on top of it!! A simple turn-off-turn-on of the screen is usually enough to fix it. But it is still annoying enough that I have disabled Simple PIN for this sole reason.
IMHO such a basic feature needs to be better tested and fixed ASAP. Bugs like this cannot make it into the Verizon version of the Pre 2 if it is to be successful (and if people such as myself are to feel comfortable recommending it).
On a related note, I feel like it is rather counterintuitive that the Simple PIN requires an entire second lock screen... Why not just replace the normal lock screen with the Simple PIN (when Simple PIN is active)? Or better yet, make a cool sliding pattern unlock like on Android--seems a lot nicer not to have to lift your finger from the screen....

I have this problem, as well. I have an unlocked Pre 2 running 2.1.0 on AT&T. I can't pinpoint when the issue arose, because I only noticed it when I went in to delete a bookmark one day. I got this phone in June (this year) and immediately performed the OTA update. So I think this happened over time...not as a result of the OS update process itself. Like, maybe after so many bookmarks were saved or after so many web pages were added to the Launcher or something.
Update - I just went ahead and selected "Clear Bookmarks" which reset the Bookmarks list and the Launcher. Now, it's working again.

IPhone OS 4.0 - detailed info on lock screen?

Hey everyone,
I guess this has been asked before, but since yesterday iPhone OS 4.0 was introduced in the dev preview, I thought my worries would come to an end, though, they did not.
It turns out Apple does not plan to rethink the way the lock screen gives iPhone users information about missed events like calls, texts and emails or calendar events.
Is there a way to submit a feature request to Apple so that maybe a feature will be integrated in a future update of iPhone OS ? I couldn't find a such "button" on the Apple homepage.
Maybe I'm also to naive to think Apple would offer such user-friendly generosity, but I've seen this post on tuaw.com linked at the bottom and I thought it looked like im NOT the only one asking for such functionality.
Also, Steve Jobs said in yesterday's iPhone OS 4.0 dev preview keynote that "... many, many users have requested this ..." and I wonder HOW they all have transferred their thoughts to Apple HQ. Can anyone help me out on this?

Until now, I will have to go through the phone, mail and SMS (and calendar) app to catch up on all the events that have occurred since I locked my iPhone's screen.
This non-presence of detailed lock screen information on iPhone OS, a detailed view on who sent me an email and what the subject of that email is; what exactly the upcoming calendar event is about and who called when is not the best available solution.
Additionally, when I have an unlock code set up, I will have to enter my 4-digit code before I can get more detailed info on what has happened. It would be far more convenient to have that enhanced info before I even decide to unlock the screen.
For inspiration on what this could look like and proof that I'm not the only one missing this functionality, have a look at this link from tuaw.com:

Wallpaper on iPhone 5 Lock Screen won't stay

I upgraded my iPhone 4S to a new iPhone 5 a couple of days ago and noticed that the lock screen wallpaper I had on the 4S did not transfer. I assumed it was because the image I had used was no longer in my photo roll and changed it to something else. The iPhone will only actually show the lock screen wallpaper on a random basis, however; most of the time there is nothing displayed. This is true whether I choose a stock image or something from my camera roll. The normal app background wallpaper is unaffected and shows exactly as expected.
Is anyone else seeing this sort of annoying behavior?
Never mind. I didn't think about the fact that, when charging, it only displays the battery charging image.

Since update to NJ4, problem with audible, lock screen, and car charging.

Since update to NJ4: I listen to audible a lot on my phone. Since the update, when I'm listening and the phone goes to lock screen, when I power up, my home screen background goes to a solid color and the phone screen jumps from audible to lock screen and I can't do anything but turn off the phone. When I set security to none, no problem. Seems only to be when phone goes to lock screen. I also noticed I always used a third party car charger with no problem, now it says I need to use the original charger, it never did that before and I've had the phone for a year. I did a factory reset and still have the problems, did not help. Any suggestions?

nuqrat Software updates can change functions of the device as it is designed to help the phone operate better. It is common that the phone displays the message about the original charger be connected. Some charges can drain the battery life or not charge the phone properly if they are not from VZW or the manufactuer. "NoLockScreen"=dword:00000001
so you just need to launch regedit editor by run regedit.exe, then locate to the right place, set the value back to 0, then restart your PC.
or just run the "restore....reg" as David mentioned.

Can't send photos taken via lock screen

When I take a photo using the new quick access from the lock screen (which I LOVE), when I tap on the thumbnail and view the photo, the little button with the icon of the square and the arched arrow, the one I'd tap on to send the photo via email, text, etc., is missing.
I then have to close the camera app and open Photos, locate the photo and send it from there.
This doesn't happen if I take a photo the old fashioned way, swiping the lock screen and then opening the camera app. When I do it that way, take a photo, and tap on the thumbnail of the photo I just took to view it, the Share button is there.
SO annoying and pretty much cancels out all the excitement of being able to access the camera quicker.
Anyone else experiencing this? Is there anything I can do?

It would make sense in your case that you could send.
But have you also noticed that you cannot see your other camera roll photos in the locked state?
