Posting Block for SD setup tables.

Hi Gurus,
Do we need to have the posting block in R/3 while filling up the setup tables for SD billing and deliveries?
thanks in advance.
Regards,
Venkat

Hi
The posting block is set to make automatic posting of billing document to FI postings
If you remove the posting block after billing you have to manually release it to accounting
So it depends on the functionality of R/3 whether we need to have or not. It may not have any affect on filling of setup tables...It will not change any data

  • Down time for 2LIS_03_BX setup table

    Hello SDN,
I have data reconcilation issue in my BW server for inventort managenent, for data source 2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_BF. For this I have to refill setup table of 2LIS_03_BX in R3 server. For filling setup table for R3 system I need to ask for down time from cleint
I NEED TO KNOW HOW DO I CALCULATE REQUIRED DOWN TIME FOR FILLING SETUP TABLE FOR DATA SOURCE 2LIS_03_BX.

    Dear Pravender,
I understand your statement (" For the complete load, check in how much time you can do initialization? That much down time only you need, later you can fill setup tables for history data and load.") as to follow following steps:
    1. In the down time, start initialization without data transfer info package in BIW for 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM.
    2. Then during up time (after releasing down time, transactional data posting allowed in R3), fill setup table for 2LIS_03_BX.
    3. Run full upload info package for 2LIS_03_BX
    4. Start Delta info package for data sources 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM
Let me know if I am right for the above procedures. These steps will allow us take very less down time.
    Thanks for the reply

  • Is Oracle Partitioning req'd in the Source R/3 system for SBIW Setup Table?

We have ECC6.0 as our Source System.  My BI team is trying to load 3 years of SALES history into the BI7.0 system, and then the APO system will pull 1 of those 3 years into it.  To begin this process, they are using SBIW to Manage the Extract Structures and create the Setup Tables.
I got an alert that these Setup Tables were created with Partitions.  We are not licensed for partitioning in our ECC(R/3) system, only in BI and APO.
1.)  Is Partitioning really necessary for these Setup Tables?
2.)  It appears that the Setup jobs create these tables by default as partitioned?  How do I disable or change that?
    Thanks,
    Richard (Basis)

    Hi Neeraj,
    thank you for the reply.
Yes, i have checked tRFCs and logs , everything looks ok, we are getting expected records in BW but job is not ending in the backend system and BW load is always showing YELLOW.
looks like our developer using  custom FM to extract data and i feel that something code issue which is going endless loop. they need to write code to terminate process after last record in the extract process. i will update you once i get root cause of the issue.
    thanks again..
    thanks

  • Future Posting Block for Inventory document

    Hi Friends,
My client want to create a PID (Physical Inventory doc) to day with planned count date next week and posting block checked.
But, they does not want to block it to post till the begining of planned count date. Practically, they want the posting block to be effective on Planned count date.
    Can it be??
    Appreciate your help in advance.
    Regards,
    Dev.

    Hi,
    Please read SAP online help:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/4d/2b8d3943ad11d189410000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
Here you can see that transaction MI32 can be used to set posting block in mass.
    When count date comes:
    - user can set the block via MI32 in mass
    - in advance you can schedule ba background job for MI32 in order to set the posting block
I wouldn't go to development...if it is not necessary...
    (my opinion)

  • Posting block for self billed invoices

    Hi ,
My requirement is once a self billed invoice is generated , it should not be readily available for payment. It should be first treated as blocked for payment. There should be a manual check which when unticked would make the invoice ready to be paid by accounts payable. Can this be done for only few selected self billed  vendors.
    Thanks in advance ,
    Vinayak

    HI VV
You can block the invoice manualy
Go to Payment tab in MIRO
enter the invoice and then on payment tab of the invoice u have the payment block over there
u can select the option over there and block it
    Cheers

  • Setup table for Inventory

    Hi Friends !
Was reading the inventory docs for the setup table. How to perform step 2?
    2. Setup of statistical data for material documents in the R/3 source system. Here, all
historical material movements are to be set up that has lead to the opening stock in
step 1 (this makes it later possible in BW to calculate historical stock values). Ideally
you still keep the posting block during this run. If this is not possible you have to
make sure that by restrictions for posting date or the material document number you
only select those material documents that have created the opening stock (step 1).
Please consider that material movements that have been posted into the future for a
date (field BUDAT) after the initial stock date are not getting selected if the upper
restriction bound is exactly this date. In this case you have to choose an appropriate
upper bound like 31st December 2099 and to keep the posting block. Also if you
post new documents to a date (field BUD AT) earlier than the initial stock date you
have to keep the posting block as time restrictions wonu2019t help to determine the right
documents (maybe restrictions by document number help).
    With Regards
    Rekha

    Hi Rekha,
Posting block is nothing but downtime. While filling the setup tables you should ensure that no postings happen in the system. To summarize step 2 -
You should run the BX load and the Init BF load for the same selections. If there is any difference, it would lead to wrong stock values in BW. BX is used to setup the opening balance. BF init should be run with same selections so that it brings all movements which resulted in a stock setup by BX. We compress BF init load without marker (NO MARKER ticked) so that the stock doesn't get doubled because the result of the movements setup by BF is already extracted by BX.

  • Posting block and Marked for Deletion

    Hi All,
My clients wants to know the vendors who are either marked for deletion or blocked for posting when was the date for the block or marking it for deletion and the person  responsible.
Though i can see that one by one through Vendor master but i need to give this in report format.
Even with Fk04 i am not able to make out.Can you please help me out.Bit urgent

    Hi,
You can check old value and new value by using table CDPOS.
If you want to know the time and person responsible by using table CDHDR
In table, put table name LFA1/LFB1 and required field like for field SPERR (LFB1) is for posting block for selected company code and field SPERR (LFA1) is for posting block for all company codes.
If you want to know it for specific vendor, then given vendor number in Object value or leave it blank for all items.
    Hope it will be useful.

  • Error in Setup Tables for QM Inspection Lots

    Hi,
I have an issue when I attempt to fill the setup tables for QM that I receive the following error for the Inspection Lots (QV) only. When I fill the setup tables for Notifications and Inspection Results, then these are OK and use the same standard function module 'qmex_inspection_lot_import_ini'.
"Internal error in program SAPLQMEX, function module / subroutine qmex_inspection_lot_import_ini, code 1".
Has anyone any ideas of the cause or have you experienced this before?
    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hi,
The most likely reason that leads to the above error message in your
system is an inconsistency of the inspection lots.
To get the inconsistent inspection lot, please check your system in the
    following way:
    - transaction OLIQBW for running Setup table
    - switch on debugging mode
    - set break point in the function  QMEX_INSPECTION_LOT_IMPORT_INI
    on the line:
    ELSE.
       MESSAGE e011(qmex) WITH sy-repid
                               'qmex_inspection_lot_import_ini'
                               '1'.
      > then excecute F8 to go to this break point.
    - double klick on ' l_qals-prueflos'
on line 77 in the same function  QMEX_INSPECTION_LOT_IMPORT_INI:
    READ TABLE qave_tab INTO l_qave
                        WITH KEY prueflos = l_qals-prueflos  <      here !
                        BINARY SEARCH.
    Please check following note:
305244 Missing operations for the inspection lot
89541 Inspection lot exists w/o status object: EM BS001
536769 Inspection lots without status object

  • Filtering Setup-Table and same filtering for Delta-Queue needed

    Dear All,
I'm looking for the best solution to do the filtering for the delta-queue.
In program RMCVNEUA I'm filtering (excluding specific SalesOrg) data for the setup-table creation. I'm loading these data to the BW system.
BUT now my issue is, that with the delta-queue I'm getting also data for the SalesOrg I have excluded in the setup-table, as I have no filter for the delta-queue.
My Question: Where/How to filter by the same criteria the entries for the delta-queue?
    Thanks for your support,
    Peggy
    some more details: Application 11; Queue-Name MCEX11; using 2LIS_11_VAHDR, 2LIS_11_VASTH, 2LIS_11_VAITM, 2LIS_11_V_SSL

    Dear Arvind,
if there is no way in R/3 the solution must be in BW, but how exactly should that look like in the best/smartest way?
Let us look in detail at an Example:
DSO 0SD_O03 is getting data from 2LIS_11_VAHDR and 2LIS_11_VASTH.
    1) For VAHDR I have the chance to delete not needed VKORG already in the InfoPackage, or load first to PSA and than filter in DTP or delete in Startroutine in Transformation.
    2) BUT for VASTH, which has no VKORG information at all, I'm only able to delete the Dataset after it's loaded/activated in the DSO, as the rubbish-Dataset won't have any 0SALESORG. How to do that?
    Thx,
    Peggy

  • Tcode to fill setup tables for application 0CS( Customer Service)

    Dear Experts,
i have to fill the setup tables for the datasource 2LIS_18_I0TASK.
the datasource comes under the appilcation 0CS( Customer Service).
when i am trying to fill the setup tables through the tcode SBIW i am not able to find the respective appilcation.
Could you please let me know the transaction to fulfill the same.
    Regards,
    Sunil...

    Hi SunilKumar Bolle,
For filling setup tables for 0CS Data Sources Use the T-Code- OLISBW, or use the path SBIW->Settings for Application-Specific DataSources (PI)->Logistics->Managing Extract Structures->Initialization->Filling in the Setup Table->Application-Specific Setup of Statistical Data->Service Management - Perform Setup
The only way to say thanks in SDN is to assign Points.

  • What do exactly mean by 'document is lost' while filling setup table

    Hi ,
In various threads its mentioned that, while extraction of logistics data .. say sales billing document, the document is 'lost', if its posted/changed while filling setup table . Hence we need to have system downtime while filling setup table.  So my questions are as follows :
1)What exactly do u mean by 'Document is Lost'?  (I mean the document entries, will always be there in application tables ).
2)Suppose we have DSO in "Over Write" mode at first level (after datasource). Will we need system downtime for filling setup table?  (I read n some forum that overwrite mode DSO at first level eliminates the need for system downtime)
Please let me know your opinion on above questions
    Regards
    Mohit
Edited by: Mohit Gupte on Jan 23, 2010 9:12 AM

    Hi Mohit,
    1) If document created/changed during filling of setup tables, it will not be available in corresponding extract queue and therefore not be available for delta update. Right?
Sorry ,the answer is 'No' , because if you make any changes at the time of filling the set-up table, then those changes will be captured either in the set-up table or in the extraction queue and hence you will not miss any documents.Condition is ,you have to use 'Queued delta' .If you use 'Direct delta' then you miss the documents becasue of 'no' extraction queue .
All documents are permanently stored in your application tables(VBRK,VBRP etc) always , but at the time of filling the set-up tables these documents will be collected from the application tables and will be moved to set-up table and then the changes will be stored in the extraction queue. At the time of set-up table running,new/changed documents will be stored either in the set-up table or in the extraction queue .So if you follow the correct loading method, you will not miss any documents.
2)However these documents (changed/created during setup run) will be stored in application tables (VBRP & VBRK, in case of sales billing). Hence we can always retrieve consolidated list of such documents , by querying 'CREATED ON'/'CHANGED ON' fields of base tables. Then we can upload these consolidated records, via Full Repair Requests , to BI data targets. So documents are not permanently lost.
Yes. Antyime later you can retrieve the records even if you missed at the time of loading.
    Hope it clears your doubts.
    Thanks.
