Hi All,
i need a clarification.
I issued a material for an outbound delivery by picking the material from 922.
Now i would like to remove the negative quant from 922.
Is there any option other than moving the material from Physical storage type/Bin to 922 through LT01?

how was the inventory selected from 922, was it a manual effort ? (did u manually create the TO for the outbound delivery and gave the Source ST as 922). Is it a one time thing or is it happening all the time? If this is not a manual effort, and ur picking strategies proposed the ST automatically then we have look in different angle.. Assuming this is a manual error look at the following solutions.
To fix the inventory.. the correct solution is, backout everything u did,
1. cancel the PGI for the delivery - VL09 ( if already PGI'd)
2. return to stock from delivery - LT0G
3. Create TO for delivery from right ST
4. PGI the delivery.
the second step should bring the inventory back to 922 and ur negative will be cleared.
There are some other ways to correct this also. Systematically ur IM inventory will be accurate, however if ur WM inventory will have extra units on the picking bin. As u didnot want to do a LT01, to correct this inventory, write up inventory using 712 mvt type. , Use MB11 transaction, give the material and ST as 922 and bin. This will automatically bring up the inventory and ur 922 negative will be cleared. However a cycle count has to be done for the material to write down the extra units.
this will avoid u from doing LT01...

Two TOs got created for a single Posting Change

Dear All,
A material document with movement type 309 got posted in a plant where WM is active.Here the material is moving from one batch to another batch.
The material document has 100 items.For each item when this movement happens a Posting Change will get created in WM and this will get converted to TO immediately through background job.
For all the materials except one this is happening fine, ie if for example if the quantity in the material doc is say 100 PC,then posting change will get created for 100 PC and this gets converted to single TO with 100 pc
But for one materal , for a Posting change of qty 90, two TOs got created with same qty ie 90 pcs each.
Please let me know your thoughts on this.What may be the reasons for this

Problem Description:
1) Single Posting change getting converted to two TOs with same quantity each
2) Unable to go into display mode or change mode of Posting Change because of Error message. u201CPosting change quantity less than quantity already postedu201D

Sceanrio:
Material Document is posted with 309 movement,for moving a single material from single batch to different batches. The material document consists of 140 line items for the same material, but movement happening to 140 different batches.
For example First line item of the material document corresponds to movement of the material
From batch 1530040 to batch 71656W01 with quantity 105.438 DIE
Second line item
From batch 1530040 to batch 71656W02 with quantity 105.374 DIE
For each line item, once the movement is posted in IM, corresponding Posting Change get posted in WM with the same Quantity. A background job converts Each Posting Change to single TO with same quantity.
For example: For the first line item , Posting change 713513 got created with quantity 105.438 DIE which got converted to TO 1057743 with same quantity ie 105.438 DIE
Issue:
But only for one line item, the Posting Change with Quantity 90.901 DIE got converted to two TO s of quantity 90.901 each. And the posting change status is Partially Processed
Because of this, we are not able to go inside the Posting Change neither in the Display mode or Change mode due to the above mentioned error message.
Please let me know your thoughts on this

Issue with posting change note processing using movement type 309

while processing Posting change note using transaction LT05, i am getting error 'Available quantity is less than selected quantity'. we need the quantity in posting change note to be picked from same storage bin from where it has been picked during transfer posting using 309. currently, it is showing all storage bins in ascending order for selection while Posting change note posting.
if we reqwhile mass porcessing of Posting change note using LSMW, it pickes the 1st storage bin. if 1st storage bin quantity is less than selected quantity of PCN then it is showing above error.

The materials are managed by batch? Please check the batches of the material in the different storage bins. SAP asign the storage bin taking into account the material batch number and the oldest quant.
When the storage bin is not indicated, SAP looks at the batch number, and goes to the storage bin where this batch for the material is allocated. If SAP find more than one storage bin, SAP consumes from the batch that has the oldest quant.
I really dont understand deeply your question.

No quants exist for posting changes. Creating TOu00B4s in LU04.

When creating transfer orders in LU04, we get an error message "No quants exist for posting changes'. We are using batch managed and serialized materials. Using QM interface, so, inspection lots are created at Goods Receipt. When QM team "accepts" batch materials during inspection lot, there is no problem, but when "accepts" serialized materials, the system creates posting changes notices but can not create transfer orders sending the message before described. This is because after receiving the serialized materials, we receive one piece at a time in order to create one inspection lot for every serial number. But when we put away the materials, we put them away in the same bin. so, system assigns one quant and one inspection lot to the bin, updating the last one every time we put away one serial number. When system tries to look for the inspection lot number selected in QA32, is not finding it in the bin at WM level because the bin only contains the last inspection lot that was put it away.
With batch managed numbers there is no problem since SAP divides the bin in different quants with the correspondent batches assigning an inspection lot to each quant.
Is there any alternative to solve the issue with the serialized materials? We are using SAP ECC 6.0.

The reason why we put away serialized materials into the same bin is because materials are physically small and they fit more than one in each bin. The warehouse is structured in this way and we plan to use it like that because it wouldn´t be feasible to create one bin for each serialized material. Is there any other way to manage this situation?

Transfer Order auto create for Posting Change not working

Hello Gurus -
When we release an inspection lot from "Q" status, it creates a posting change notice, and we have it configured to create a TO in the background to the same bin, and auto confirm. The desired and intended result is to take something from "Q" status to unrestricted status, while keeping it in the same bin - and avoiding the user having to deal with the transfer orders. Essentially it is seamless and all in the background, the user just sees that he has changed something from quality status to unrestricted.
It works fine when the entire quantity is selected for the usage decision, but when a partial usage decision is made, the transfer order does not create - and requires processing in LU04 for the posting change.
Why would this work for an entire qty, but not work for a partial qty - and simply require someone to go in to LU04 and hit "create transfer order" - with no additional information?
Any help would be most appreciated. Does it have something to do with a setting of quants?

In case of a usage decision for a partial quantity, it is not possible to create the Transfer Order for the generated posting change notice automatically. This is only possible when the full quantity is released. The same happens if you release a partial quantity and post the rest to blocked stock or scrap. The reason is, there needs to be a user decision, which part of the quantity has to be posted, this is necessary for example when the quantity is distributed in the warehouse over many storage bins. But even if the full quantity is on one storage bin, there is no automatic TO creation. You can see this also in the online
processing (LT05), in case of partial quantities you have to enter the selected quantity in the quant list, for a full posting this is not necessary.

Diagnosis

Hi Gopi,
Looking at problem you discribed, I am assuming you are using the delivery type other than "NL".
The reason for this error is the indicator "order required" in delivery type defination set to 'X : sales order required' and you have assigned this delivery type to the purshasing document UB in STO customising. So the requirement of delivery defination of having prior document as sales order is conflicting.. so the error is there.
Resolution:
Please change the assigned delivery type to NL to purchasing document type UB in SPRO> MM> Purchase order>set up for STO>assign delivery type and checking rule.
If you have custome delivery type the go to spro> LE> shipping>deliveries>define delivery type
change the order required from X to "B".

How to clear open posting change notices (Movt type 309)

Hi,
I want to clear the open PCN's created with mov type 309 (Posting change, general) being shown in LL01.
All these posting change quantity are positive. I am not able to nullify them because there is no stock of those materials.
Whenever I try to create a TO from LU04, the system is unable to take a storage type because of no stock.
Whenever I try to change the PCN;s status to :U", the system says that the souce data and dest data is same (both sloc's are same).
Please suggest an alternative to clear these PCN's.

Hi,
Pls check the below.
-Any open transfer orders for the posting change notice exists,once they confirmed the PCN will be cleared.
-Use LU02 to set a deletion status on the PCN.
Posting change notices can be created for same sloc's but the stock category of the source and destination will be different i.e. unretstirced to quality, unrestriced to blocked etc ....

Urgent 922 negative stocks and no open posting changes (LU04)

Hello Guys,
I will really appreciate your help to this problem:
I have in LX02 the figure shown below for a specific material over all storage types. I dont have open posting changes in LU04. All what I physically have are 9 pieces in 915 as shown below.
How can I eliminate the stocks in 922 ?
My ideas until now and the problems I encountered:
a) Idea: An inventory on 922. Problem: Iventory can be made, but it does not work for negative quantities.
b) Idea: To move the positive 14 unrestricted from 922 to 915 with a stock transfer. Then in MM to change the stock category. Problem: The availability in MM will still be 9 and i will not able to make a MM-Movement 322-Type to move 14 from 915->922 with stock category "Q"
c) Idea: Open Posting Changes in LU04. Problem: No posting changes open.
d) Idea: Reversal of documents. Problem: We already issued customer deliveries and invoiced them.
The differences internally in 922 and 999 are 0, but the stock category is another
-->Can I somehow make a stock transfer internally in WM from one stock category to another (from unrestricted to Quality)? Or which other method do you suggest.

If you do not have any LU04 pending, you just need to use 2 times LT01 :
first LT01 movement 999
from : 999 Q 14 pieces
to 922 Q - 14 pieces.
Second LT01 movement 999
From 922 14 pieces
to 999 - 14 pieces
Then you will have only your 9 pieces in stock.

How to clear Open Posting Changes in LU04

How to process the Stucked PCN in LU04 Because when i am trying to create a TO w.ref to PCN in LU04 it shows
that BIn qty is zero & when I check LS24 for that material & I found bin qty is zero.
So now how to clear from PCN

if you get the message "Dest. data" is the same as the "Source data" in all fields" then it is exactly so, and the movement does not make any sense as it does not change anything.
You have to stop such movements already in MM to avoid this error.
SAP explains this in OSS Note 384044 - Error L2146 when processing posting change notice
Solution
You can set the status of the posting change notice to completed by canceling the respective material document. In future, you can avoid those cases by setting message M7104 to 'E' (error) in table T160M; after this, the material documents which contain identical destination and source data can no longer be posted and therefore the system does no longer create such posting change notices. Before you should however cancel all available material documents with identical source and destination data for which there are open posting change notices. Otherwise the cancellation is terminated with error message M7104.

Master Detail Relationship and Posting changes!

I have a "MAster" medical-procedure block, and an "Detail" items block. The items block, being the detail block, in the master detail relationship shows the items used during the medical procedure. Both the master and detaqil blocks are based on stored procedures.
Problem: I have multiple medical procedures (multi record master) and many items associated with the procedure (multi record detail). If I ask the user to "SAVE" the changes, after every detail entry ( for the correspondin master), it becomes a "PAIN" for the user. He wants to be able to choose a procedure, choose the details(items) associated with that procedure, and move on to the next master record, (the next medical procedure) , select it, if he performed that procedure, choose its corresponding detail items, "WITHOUT SAVING IN BETWEEN" navigation between the master records / "MEDICAL PROCEDURES"!
1. Is it better to go for a master-detail relationship? If so, how do I prevent the "Please save the changes" when navigating between master records and ALSO save the details, without doing the "SAVE" multiple times. Can I go for a post ?..If so where? When-new_record instance/ any "Form level trigger"?
2. If I do the go_block('dtl blk name'); execute_query; thing to coordinate between blocks, and "post" changes in the when -new -record-instance of master, the detail complains of a null value when I move from a medical procedure to another medical procedure which is not actually performed.

Actually I am new to WM & now configuring WM in my test server.
I have already made all the settings which you have mentioned above. The issue is when I do a transfer posting using 309 or 311 I am getting the following error
' Storage type 002 not suitable as an interface (SU management is active) '
For the WM mov type - 309 I tried by assiging the source storage as 002 & bin as well as with 002 only.
I have mentioned the destination storage type as 922 with dynamic indiactor as D storage bin.
Note : When I didnt assign any source storage type in my mov.type 309 then I am getting the error 'storage bin 001 (warehouse no) doesnt exist check your entry'
I.e system is not determing the source storage type using the storage search table.
Hope its clear.
Please advise where I am goin wrong & how to solve this issue.

Immediate TO for posting change

Is it possible to have immediate TO for posting change?
I have done the following setting in LE-WM Interface to Inventory Management: Assigned the reference movement to WM movement and checked the indicator for Create transfer order immediately -A.
I am able to manually convert the psoting change notice -> TO without any error. The system also works fine in case of Automatic TO. However the system does not create TO's immediately.
I have one more question: During Automatic / Immediate TO creation, how does the system know the affected stock? For ex.
In case of transfer posting using 321, how will the system select the source?

I think the following may apply to your issue.
When you post a material document in IM, and movement types both "with" and "without" automatic transfer order creation exist in that document, the system does not start the automatic transfer order creation program.

Error in posting change delivery

We are implementing the WM with HUM. we have MTO scenario and in MTO HU movement cant possible through VLMOVE.(SAP Gap)
So i tried by
1) assigned the stock sale order to unrestricted using 411 E(MB1B)
2) Then pack and create HU in production location
3) Move the HU using VLMOVE(311)
4) Now again assigned the unrestricted stock to Sale order stock through 412E (MB1B)
In 4th step a posting change delivery should be created. but when I save the document then i get the error
"Dlv. type (dlv. catgry ID for mat. 1100040 and BWART 412) cannot be determined*_
*Message no. VL295"
I think I am missing some settings in SPRO for IM-WM movement type and when i saw then i didnt fine the movement type 411&412.
How can i make the posting change delivery for MTO scenario.?
Pls help me in this regard.

And also maintain:
SPRO/Logistics General/HUM/ Basics/Material Management/ Set QM check and delivery type for each mvt. (for 412E).
It will try to determine for 412 E with consumption E as well. This has category ID in standard. So in the other customizing it will try to find a delivery type for posting changes for category ID which isn't there, as only TP is there.
So either make a new entry in Delivery type determination in HUM Delivery customizing or change the delivery ID category in SPRO/Logistics General/HUM/ Basics/Material Management/ Set QM check and delivery type.

How to create automatic Transfer Order for posting change delivery mvt.321?

Hi,
We are using HU with WM functionality; While posting stocks after UD, the system creates a posting change delivery instead of directly posting the stock to unrestricted stock from quality stock.
Now that we have to process the ourbound delivery bu creating a transfer order and confirming it and also do a Post Goods Issue against delivery then only the system posts the stock into unrestricted stock.
Our client doesn't want to go thro' these process steps. They would like the stock to be posted to unrestricted automatically after UD stock posting (movement type 321). Is there a way out to automatically process the posting change delivery in the background including Transfer order creation and confirmation and PGI please?

I am doing transfer posting using movement type 321 (quality to unrestricted) for one material.While posting i am getting error"Maintain number range interval 01 for posting change notices" Message no. L0015
WM is active for this material and doing this movement for one plant which is newly created in system.Wil you please advice for which document type i had to maintain number range.Please inform SPRO path / Transaction to be used to make required changes.

Automatic picking of posting change delivery HTP

Hello,
We wanted to implement ARM. When we have follow-up activity as "Receive into plant" and Action "transfer to free available stock", delivery of type HTP gets created.
As per standard, if we want to create automatic TO for picking of this delivery type in case of WM managed plants, we need to configure WMTA output type.
But in our case WMTA is getting triggered after HTP delivery creation still, picking is not done and TO for picking is not created automatically.
But for other HOD delivery type, picking and TO creation is executed automatic after WMTA output is triggered.
Reason i feel is that storage type search is not getting performed in case of posting change delivery.
In our HTP delivery, 343 is posted at IM level and 309 at WM level.
Could you please let us know if storage type search is the issue here ? Also do we have any specific config for storage type search specific to posting change, because for outbound we have defined storage type search perfectly. It is not working only in the case of posting change deliveries.
Or is there some other reason for not getting delivery picked of type HTP ?
