Posting documents from application/jsp server to web server
I need to allow users to upload documents (ie. pdf, doc, ppt, etc) on the application I am building. I am using the FileUpload classes from Jakarta's commons fileUpload. The application that the commons-fileupload-1.0.jar resides on is on the application server. The directories where the documents need to post to are located on the Web Server. Does anyone have any methods or resources for doing this?
You could specify a remote directory for upload... the one on the web server.

Prerequisiteinstaller.exe error - unable to install Application Server Role, Web Server (IIS) Role
Windows Server 2012 R2 running on Hyper-V VM. File services, App server & IIS roles installed
SQL Server 2012 installed
Tried:
kb 2765260 method 1 which is kb 2771431 which ends with "not applicable to computer"
kb 2765260 method 2 with no effect (this was power shell commands for PC's connected to the internet)
One post suggested "aspnet_regii - enable -i" but my OS doesn't have aspnet_regii on it (not sure what that implies)
One post suggested ServerManagerCmd.exe needed to be installed which sounds true as shown below (but where do I find this exe?)
There are some errors in the log file, I only included the portions where the errors are listed. The initial lines are at the top of the log file, then I skipped to the section where the other errors were. I can include the whole log if
it becomes necessary.

I'm presuming the first 2 errors are OK and just indicate optional startup modes for prerequisiteinstaller.exe
The 2nd set of errors seems more serious. I don't see ServerManagerCmd.exe on my PC that's listed in the error
I don't understand the last error which I'm supposing triggered the listed error even though there are other errors in the log.
Many of the existing posts don't match the configuration I'm using, and the ones that do match didn't seem to provide a usable answer. Any help is appreciated. Do these problems exist using Sever 2012 Standard? I will try that, but would
like to resolve the issue here with R2.

AlanServerManagerCMD.exe is a deprecated utility and (as far as I know) is only found on Server 2008 versions, so I'm surprised it's needed for the preinstaller. Are you trying to install SharePoint 2010?

Please open Server Manager > Roles > see if Web Server (IIS) has been installed.
If installed, I’d recommend you refer to Abdel’s method in the link below. He encountered the same issue when install SharePoint 2013 on Windows Server 2008 R2 and fixed the problem. For your reference:

I am trying to install SharePoint 2013 on Windows 2008 R2. I have database MS SQL Server 2012 on the same machine itself. My SharePoint Preinstaller fails at installing Application server and Web server roles.. Even though the roles get created, they
don't complete because ASP.Net activation fails. Here is my log:

AbdelPlease help!!! I am going on 9 days now trying to install SharePoint 2013 onto a VM. I have tried Hyper-V and VMWare and am getting the same result with both.
Running Windows 8.1 with 16 GBs of RAM.
The pre-req installer will not install anything!! And I get this error:
The tool was unable to install Application
Server Role, Web Server (IIS) Role
So I installed the Web Server IIS Role and restart... still no luck
Then I ran this command:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe -i -enable
And get this message: "This option is not supported on this version of the operating system. Admins should instead install/uninstall ASP.NET 4.5 with IIS8 using the "Turn Windows Features On/Off dialog....
9 days of cussing and pulling my hair out... please someone help.. I just want to run the Pre-Req installer and install SharePoint on a VM Machine.

I am installing file en_sharepoint_server_2013_with_sp1_x64_dvd_3823428.iso on a Windows Server 2012 R2 that is a Virtual Machine in VMWare. After mounting the file I run prerequisiteinstaller.exe, which errors with:
Application Server Role, Web Server (IIS): configuration error
After some research I am pointed to KB2771431. I download Hotfix file Windows8-RT-KB2771431-x64.msu, which it says is for Windows Server 2012 but when attempting to install I get error:
The update is not applicable to your computer.
My question is where do I go from here?Can you try to install the most recent .NET Framework updates?

Error while running Application on Sun One Web Server 6.1
Can some one please explain me how can I run application on sun one web server 6.1 ?
It is deployed .war file successfully. It only loads default.jsp and then fives following error:
1) Package netscape.ldap not found in import.
I imported this package to my java file.

Posting documents from SD to FICA
Dear gurus, when you post a document from SD to FICA, where does the account determination take places?
According to my understanding the account determination take place in SD, and FICA only puts the main and sub transactions taken from the customizing (Integration FICA - SD), and you dont need to configure the actual account determination for those main and sub transactions in FICA, am I right?

How to run a report jsp on a Web Server

I've been working as plsql developer for many years, but I'm completely new on Oracle Reports.
My question is very simple.
I've tried to create a report by using the Wizard and once finished I see that, if I try to save the report, it's saved as .jsp
Does this mean that I can simply save my .jsp on a Web Server (for instance Tomcat) and run it on a browser?

I try to save the report, it's saved as .jspThat depends. You can save it as a .rdf file too (so called Paper Layout). I think this option is used more often. -
Hi all ,
i am trying to give the access of an web server through portal server ( that web server is on local network & my portal server is on the internet i.e i can access my portal server from Internet )in order to do so i had made following changes.
I had made a jsp provider channel> then i write the following lines in the files and configured that jsp channel with that JSP.
<iframe src="http://192.168.0.10" height=800 width=970 ></iframe>
When i access my portal server from internet, i was unable to access that web server from my portal server, how ever that webserver was accessible from local network through portal, which leads me to the conclusion that my client machine was directly accessing the 192.168.0.10.
My question is can i enable my portal server to take the interface from the webserver i.e 192.168.0.10 and bring it to the client so that i can become independent of accessible of 192.168.0.10

It really worked. But it is not displayed properly i.e some pics are missing and more over i cannot login in to that web server. When i enter the username & password it just open and says the page can not be displayed
i have made the following changes in order to accomplish that.
/etc/hosts
192.168.0.10 dummydomain1.com
and this URL i had entered in the channel you had told me.Now whwn i get that interface of web server in front of me through portal it is in bad condition and more over when i try to login to that interface, my client it self try to access that interface i.e URL.However the requirement was to that the portal server should be doing all the work .

After running the prerequisiteinstaller.exe of SharePoint 2013 I am getting the below error in the logs
The tool was unable to install Application Server Role, Web Server (IIS) Role.
Web server role,application server role is already there in the server.
Ran the necessary power shell commands but still not able to proceed with this error.
Please share your inputs to cross over this issue.
