Posting of Dunning Interest and Charges to Customer

Hi All,
I have configured Dunning and in the letter generated it displays the Dunning Charges as well as applicable Interest, which is correct according to the configuration.
However the same is not debited to the customer account. I have maintained all necessary account determinations for the indicator assigned to dunning procedure.
Kindly let me know how to post interest and charges to the customer through dunning run( F150).
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
Ajay

hi,
about this FI posting of a dunning charge (FI-ar, not FI-CA)
this is not standard SAP !
But you can do it via the Busines Transaction Event (BTE), please check via transaction FIBF (menu > Environment).
You should have a look to event 1071 = dunning charges, where SAP deliveres a sample, SAMPLE_PROCESS_00001071
Hoping this helps you !

  • Dunning - Interest and Fee per Letter

I have set up interest and fee per letter in the Dunning Terms and when I run the Dunning Wizard I see these amounts for each of the Business Partners Invoices. Where I am having an issue is getting these values to be displayed in the PLD, are these variable fields - if so what is the variable number, if they are database fields - then which table and column are they?
    Thanks,
    Richard

Found the template, it was at level 3 that there is interest calculated. Why wasn't it included for all dunning levels?

  • Dunning Interest Posting

    Hello Group,
We have one different requirement in dunning interest:-
We want to calculate interest for one level but do not want to post it.
For second level, we want to calculate and post interest.
We have tested and found that interest is correctly getting calculated as per config and getting printed on dunning notice. But we want to post it in FI?(Accounting entry)
    Pl.advise us.
    Regards,
    Kedar.

    Hello Kedar,
posting interests is a different function. It is confusing that the dunning program can also show interests - but it can not post it.
For posting interests see the menu accounting -> financial accounting -> accounts receivable -> periodic processing -> interest calculation -> arrears interest
    and the corresponding customizing settings.

  • Fetching the price of the purchase order and charge it in my SO

    Dear, gurus
I am doing services mto and even Repair services of customers machinery. I would like to fetch the price incase of purchase order and charge the customer for that purchase in my Sales Order. Is there a way to automatically fetch the price? Or how can I cover this scenario?
Ex: I receive customers machine and in my plant or workshop I do not have the tool needed or a specialist so I hire someone for the job so I buy or rent it or him from a vendor and in return I want to charge my customer for that purchase.
    Any Ideas?
P.S. this is not a 3rd party sale scenario its just a simple Sales Order. I was able to fetch the price from the production order with condition type EK02. Is there any condition type for purchase order price fetching?
    Thanks

    Amitesh
How did the outcome come out as? meaning did that user exit price fetch appear in a condition type in the billing document? If so which one?
Also, where is the relationship or linkage made from PO to SO? Like how in the world would your sales order know that a purchase order was done. I mean it really is a weird process I mean first the SO should be created then that should trigger the PR and that gets converted to a PO as rightly stated in book terminology. But in this case of first a regular sales order, then out of sap we give our requirement to mm purchasing dept and tell them we need such and such. Once they buy it there is a price which in return we need to charge our customer. Everything can be done manually.
From my own logic of looking at what you described in the user exit. I presume that from abap side they will only pull a table and field data and populate it where I want it?
In the PR there is a place where you can assign acct cat C to the sales order and item line what exactly is this for? GL acct are assigned for which purpose or What is it doing? Also, the purpose of that cost center?

  • Dunning procedure and interest calculation

    Hi All,
usually in dunning procedure, the interest is calculated on over due items based on the period from Last Dunning date to run date.
If the customer is never dunned before and this MDAT is never populated, how will the program generally calculate interest..?
Can somebody explain me on how it works..?
    thankx,
    Neha

    Hi All,
    Thanks for all answers.
When I checked table MHND, the dunning interest is calculated in such a way that it doesn't consider the previous dunned date.
    Meaning :
Dunning ran on 12-01-09  interest calculated is 500.00 ( 2 docuemnst considerded from bsid as seen from table MHND )
Dunning ran on 15-01.09  interest calculated is  500.00  (  same as above)
Ideally for Dunning ran on 15-01.09 , it should not calculate interest since on 12th it is done..!!
    Now queries:
    1. Where can i see these interest calculated during dunning run ( any report ? ) other than table..?
    2. When I see the dunning run, looks like user has made some mistakes,  It shows as
               Parameters have been entered
Dunning run carried out, job was deleted
Dunn. printing carried out, job was deleted
    3. when I try to run the single dunn. notice, and see sample print out it gives message as
Account D 0004298846 is blocked by dunning run 20090319 MDUN1
why is it so and how to resolve..?
    thanks,

  • Dunning Interest Column on appears on  Customer Receivables Ageing

In 8.8 Customer has a column appearing on Customer receivable report titled 'Interest' only thing is the column shows no interest whatsoever and is blank known reasons for this as I have tried to replicate but can't even get the Dunning interest to appear no my demo system so I can see the result on customer data but can't replicate as can't even get column to appear.

    Hi Gordon
On my version of SAP 2007A SP01 PL09 I have all the options chosen in the dunning terms to show interest yet I have no interest column in my customer receivable report or on screen... The customer has a different issue but maybe related?they have run through a test upgrade to 8.8 and they can see the interest column but have no values against any onf the BP? Is there something I am missing on this I appreciate that in testing you need to be on the same patch levels etc but I can't see why the column on the customers database I have here appears with no Interest column?

  • Post Statistical Dunning Charges

How do I post statistical dunning chargers? I try to post 2 dunning chargers but when I run transaction FPVA and FPVB the post of those chargers are real. I follow all the configuration lines for dunning but I don´t see a parameter related for statistical chargers; I only see a parameter for statistical interest.

    Laurynas Prikockis

    Hi,
thanks, this option im trying to implement. But something is not going right.
ive changed the FM from one to other and tryed to use BTE 1720, regarding BTE 1040 ive got some problems since i didnt find the exact place where to put it.
the second issue was that after changing one FM like FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE into FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE_SMARTF we had to maintain smart form. I did also this step, but running f150 the program doesnt start it. It shows that print is completed and thats all.

  • Dunning wizard - Finance charge

    Hello,
I ran the dunning wizard and printed out the dunning letter. Even though the interest is being calculated correctly [TtlopnIntr column in DWZ2 table], it does not update the BP Account Balance. Also when printing out the report, the ‘Amount Due’ column in the report shows the open sum and not open sum + interest. At the BP level, I have activated the ‘Include Interest’ checkbox and put in the bank interest percentages.
    Could you please advise ASAP.
    OR
If there is any other way to handle finance charges, please advise.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Bhavita
Edited by: Darius Heydarian on Mar 26, 2008 5:22 PM

    Bhavita,
I'm running into the same problem also.  Check out SAP note 1059948.
    Symptom
When using the Dunning Wizard there has been an interest and a fee per letter defined. However, after running the wizard and printing the dunning letter with interest and a fee added to the total, it is not possible to find this balance in the business partner balance.
    Other terms
business partner balance, journal entry, credit, debit, missing information, dunning level
    Reason and Prerequisites
    SAP Business One Functionality
A Dunning Letter has successfully been created and printed with an interest, a fee or both.
    Solution
The interest/fee that is printed on the Dunning Letter will not make an entry on any account. It is only printed. If the interest/fee is paid, it should be recorded manually in the system. This is a system definition.
I have 30K plus customers - 500 of which have overdue amounts... am I supposed to manually create journal entries for all customers now?  This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen in any software program ever!  Don't make it look like you support a business process in a software solution when you don't.  I have no idea how I'm going to try and explain this one to my customer...

  • Dunning by dunning procedure and collection strategy

    Hi All,
    Have some questions around dunning.
    1. Can dunning by dunning procedure and collection strategy coexist in the same company code - if this cannot be achieved by config can it be achieved by development - can we have something like account determination IDs of X to use dunning procedure, account determination IDs of Y to use collection strategy?
    2. If the answer to 1. is no, can one company code use dunning procedure and another company code use collection strategy?
    3. What is SAP's (or any other proven) recommended approach to migrate a production system utilising dunning by dunning procedure to dunning by collection strategy?
    Cheers.

    Have a look
SAP-ISU will be used to carry out initial collection activities. Initial 1 or 2 reminder letters (based on the customer type, Live or Closed) will generated from SAP-ISU. Thereafter, the account will be managed in Tallyman. Thus, all the subsequent activities, such as sending further reminder letters, sending debt to collection agencies, carry out warrant activities and taking customers to court will be carried out in Tallyman system. During the time, the account is in Tallyman, no dunning activities will be carried out in SAP.
There will be daily interfaces from SAP-ISU to Tallyman to update Tallyman of Accounts that have passed a certain dunning level in SAP-ISU and any changes to the account that are currently being managed in Tallyman. Similarly there will be interfaces from Tallyman to SAP to update SAP of Accounts, that have been marked for write off in Tallyman. Fees and Charges that have been applied in Tallyman, for example court fees, warrant fees etc.

  • Re: Mifi and Charging - does this work for charging the iPad?

I found the following post on here - but it is too old for me to reply directly to it - however, this was a very good post and it worked for me and I would really like to get in touch with mikebob to see if the same thing would work for charging the iPad - his ideas really work. And does he or anyone know how to charge the iPad from batteries?
    thanks a lot

I finally managed to figure out the proper cabling to get the Verizon Mifi 2200 to charge using a generic USB charger. To recap the problem... The mifi device will only charge when using the supplied micro usb charger, or when connected to a computer USB port using the supplied micro USB cable. When connected to a computer, the device reverts to it's connected data mode, which turns off the wifi ssid broadcast and requires the Verizon access manager application to be launched. Most third party chargers will not work... including most 12V lighter to USB adapters, and most backup battery solutions.
Here is what is going on... Per the USB specification, Pins 1 and 4 are 5V power and ground respectively. Pins 2 and 3 are data+ and data-. In most chargers, pins two and three are tied via a pullup resistor to the 5V line. If you measure the voltage on 2 and 3 you will see around 3V, equivalent to a logic high state. This has something to do with allowing the device being charged to identify whether it should be in a fast or slow charging mode. More importantly, it is what the Apple iPod expects to see . So, anyone wanting to build generic USB chargers will probably implement this way in order to tap into the single largest device market around. Unfortunately, the mifi does not like the logic high on pins 2 and 3. I haven't yet sorted out why, but when it sees logic high on pins two and three, it refuses to go into charging mode.
The solution is to use a cable where pins 1 and 4 (5V and GND) are carried straight through. Pins 2 and 3 need to be disconnected from the charging source and shorted together at the Mifi end. If this was a miniUSB instead of a microUSB, it would be what is called a "charge only" cable. I have not found any vendors yet for a charge only microUSB cable so I went ahead and performed surgery on a standard microUSB cable. I took a standard USB cable, cut it and then connected it to a microUSB connector from an old Motorola bluetooth headset charger.   Interestingly, the microUSB connector from the Moto charger  already has pins 2 and 3 shorted together internally so all I had to do was connect 5V and ground and heat shrink tube the whole thing. With this cable I can charge the mifi from any generic USB port, including those on 12V lighter adapters, and rechargeable backup batteries. In addition, I can also connect the Mifi to my laptop to charge while continuing to access the Mifi via wifi.
Only word of caution...  You really need to connect the Mifi to your computer using the standard data cable on occasion, say once per month.  The reason is that it is only in this mode that you will receive notifications of S/W updates and/or the need to update your PRL. (preferred roaming list).

Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and “ Check for Updates “...
If an Update Appears Install it... if not... you are up to date for your particular Device...
