While I was trying to post IR while my Sales order is closed, in one case, i was able to post while not in another situation.
I have below questions in this regard:
1) What is the best practice: should i be able to post or not
2) What can be the reason for the duel behaves of the system. (For the second SO, I have the same details as of first but not able to post the IR).

More details about the problem : My computer is a Mid 2012 Mac Book pro 2.9GHz i7 processor with 8GB RAM updated to OS X v10.8.5
- I ran a compleet scan of my computer for any threats ( I used virus barrier express ) and there was nothing identified
- When I oppened the Activiti Monitor there are about 20-30 processes which I do not undersatand they are run under the user "root" 2 in perticular ( Kernel_task & fseventsd ) they both take up a lot of threads and kernel_task is constantly using 1.2 GB of "real memory" which is at least 20 times any other process that is running espesially the ones that run under the user "Apple" I do not know if this is causing the problems on my mac but i tryed to forces close it and it dose not even let me click the button, the others close but reopean immideatly. I will attach a screen shot of what i have mentioned here.
- The problems I am facing are mainly performance :- To state a few examples, my mac dose not seam to be able to handile even the smallest tasks like switching tabs on safari, typing any thing, playing a movie withought stopping inbetween, etc.. ( let me elaborate on why I said its not able to handil these tasks, it is because when I am trying to do any one of the afformentioned tasks inbetween the cursor becomes a rainbow collered spinning disk and I am unable to do anything for about 10 seckonds after which it starts to work again for some time before it happens again. )
- Another concern of mine is that my mac seems to be on even with the lid closed if I do not shut it down compleetly, if i just close the lid after some time the computer starts warming up, and the fan starts running. the battery is drained at the same rate or slightly less rate than it would have if i was using it normally with the lid opean. ( altough this is happning the screen dose not turn on untill the lid is opean again )
- I have only 300+ GB full out of my 750GB so i believe these are not issues caused by my mac's memory being full ( BUT THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED THIS WAS HAPPNING WAS WHEN MY MEMORY WAS ABOUT 720GB FULL WHEN THESE ISSUES FIRST AROSE I IMMEADITLY DELEATED 400+GB OF MY USELESS FILES THAT I HAD BEEN HORDING ALL OF WHICH WERE MOVIES ) that about covers it all PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANY ONE KNOWS WHAT TO DO.
Ps: I apoligize if I have given too many unrelevant details, not enough usefull information and or if i was just all over the place with my explanations but I am really frustrated and was hoping not to miss anyting. Please let me know if any information at all is required and ill do my best to provide it.

I can not get Adobe Flash Player to update on my Mac. It keeps telling me to close Safari even though it is closed. I tried every thing on Adobe's site to fix the problem with the same results always. I went to Mac's site as well and was told to go to Adobe for a solution. It worked fine since a new Mac in Feb. ,but it will not update now so no Flash Player ay all. Thanks for any help.

When I try to download Adobe Flash Player, it says I need to quit out of Safari even when it's closed. How do I fix this?
Apologies for the slightly pedantic answer, but in application terms, "closed" and "quit" are two different things. An application such as Safari can have several windows open, and each of them can be closed using the red button in the corner.
However, even after all windows are closed, the application is still running until you specifically quit it. You can tell it's still running by the small light under its icon in the Dock. If you hold your cursor down on the icon for a few seconds, you should see a pop up menu with the "Quit" option - click that to quit it. Or, click the icon once (this may launch a new window), then either go to the Safari menu and click Quit, or click cmd-Q, to completely quit the app.

How can I get past "close IE" to continue the install even though IE is closed?
I keep trying to install flash for win7 pro 64 bit and it stops half way through and even though I've closed IE, it will not get past 50%. The other thing that concerns me is that flash 32 bit is installed but I can't uninstall it even using adobe's uninstall. I get the same error message that I have to close IE even though it is not open. I've been through all of the troubleshooting steps. I have adobe in my accepted list with https:
Anyone know the answer to this? I can't watch anything online without it. If not, can someone tell me how to contact adobe for this problem because I have no other options.Here's the log. Thanks again.

My special characters screen for pages is running in the background no matter what I do. It randomly pops up and then goes away. I can't close it even though I have closed pages and restarted my computer. How can I stop this.
Try trashing the .plist with CharacterViewer in its name in Home/Library/Preferences. To get to Home/Library you may need to hold the option key down while you do Finder > Go.

Ever since installation of OSX Lion, I've been having freeze-up problems on my early 2011 MacBook Pro. Increased the RAM from 4GB to 8GB. Amazingly, when I have Mail and Chrome open, almost all of the RAM is consumed. Even with all programs closed, I only have about 3 GB of free space. Any ideas as to what the problem is?
Mail under Lion (your profile says 10.5) is always busy and doesn't like large email database I hear.
Chrome and Safari don't clear their history and cache, lack quota on how many days and disk use, so clear those out. This is where I do use CCleaner on Mac as well as Wndows.
I keep reading from 10.6 on that even closing (quit) does not release memory and threads galour that there are memory leaks that you have to repair permissions, even restart, and poor memory management for many people's systems (often laptops).
Free RAM is wasted RAM though. Even 3GB seems excessive. This is not OS 9 or 1999.
but I found that 4-core 4GB RAM was fine except for handling large photo libraries. -
My iphone 5s (7.1) has permanently the search icon, as if searching network. This affects the speed of email and consumes a lot of battery. This happens even with all applications closed. I have restored the iPhone but the problem persists. Does anyone have an idea of the solution?

Aperture Library Size slowing iMac even when Aperture is closed
I recently purchased an iMac 22 quad core running Lion, with all updates. It currently has 12GB of Ram, and 190GB free on the hard drive.
The iMac would load programs like Outlook within a few seconds and was very fast.
I purchased Aperture and migrated about 38,000 images, using the exisitng file structure from my PC. This took about 12 hours yo process, update images, etc...
Even if Aperture is closed, all programs now load much more slowly. Outlook can take 20-30 seconds to open, and lists of email and contacts now take as much as a minute to load.
This is only true for the user account with the Aperture library, as programs for other users seems to work fine.
I tried running disk utilities, restarting machine, but no difference.
Activity monitor shows no unusual memory, CPU or disk activity.
I started a new user account, and all worked fine again...until I again created an aperture library, and again, even if Aperture is not started, everyting else runs slowly.
Is there a file indexing feature that is overwhelmed by the addition of a large aperture library? (Deleting the Aperture library doe snot solve the problem-only startign a new user accountdoes).dphughes wrote:

If this is true, there must be a logical explanation that is giving Aperture users some benefit for the increased Library size. Sorry been a long time since I looked at Lightroom. Does it store the same size previews and thumbnails as Aperture? Since you are using referenced files and Aperture is using non-destructive edits and even new versions do not create duplicate files (only a new set of pointers to the referenced masters), one would think previews and thumbnails must be handled differently. Since you use both, what could it be?
The Aperture Vault is a separate library than the Aperture Library so having a Vault of course should not impact the size of the Aperture Library. -
After downloading 3.6.6, plugin-container.exe allows an unknown website to continually stream audio through my speakers, even after firefox is closed. I kill the process in task manager and it still relaunches itself. I found this file also running by search my computer PLUGIN-CONTAINER.EXE-15EDC9DD.pf in c:\Windows\Prefetch. When I kill that process, audio instantly stops. But it relaunches after 10 minutes or so. The process eats up lots of memory. I've had to restart firefox in safe mode several times as it crashed even before opening. 3.6.6 is majorly flawed and I'm running Windows XP. Time to downgrade to 3.6.4

You may have a stuck image in the AutoRecovery folder. THis file is in your scratch drive directory. You can delete it.

My iPad says that she is busy and is unable to accept my request even when everything is closed and nothing is being used. What might be the problem here? 3 times my iPad has crashed while nothing was open or running and a small loading wheel would be moving signifying that the thing was loading something without permission. Even when the dang thing was on my personal wireless service that I pay for.
similar to what is happening to me....the difference is, after restoring itunes detect ipod and ask to restore again and again....
I know it may look kinda stupid but: just leave the ipod there for about 2 minutes, that's about the time my itunes is taking to detect my ipod...if it doesn't work, try connecting ur ipod to other computer with itunes (no need to sync, just to check if itunes will recognize) to check if the problem is with the ipod or with the itunes and/or computer. -

Low signal on CDMA networks will drain the battery within 5 hours.

T420s battery being discharges even when laptop is closed
So my T420s, even when I close the lid the battery still discharges. I talked to Lenovo help and they said it was the battery but I bought a new one and the problem is still exactly the same. Please help me! Any ideas what to do?
The computer is still on when the lid is closed. If you want it to turn off and not not use power you'll need to shutdown or hibernate with the fingerprint reader (if so equipped) turned off. You could also set it up to sleep, which will still use some power, but not that much.

In OAM, is it possible to maintain a cookie even after browser is closed?
I've a requirement where I would like to maintain a cookie on a portal (after the user is authenticated) even after the user closes the browser (without logging off)? It is something like on ebay or Yahoo where you've option of remember me so that when user visits the website, they need not login unless logged out?

a) If your users are Windows / part of AD, you can enable Integrated Authentication (Intranet users)
b) You can capture the userid and password before you post to OAM and encrypt and store it in your cookie. next time user comes to your site you then look at the cookie and try to sign in as that user. ( Security Risk...to be considered based on type of application or data user has access to)
