Posting PDF and other Documents to new iCloud site

Question

I have "upgraded" to iCloud, and I keep reading about posting/sharing documents of ALL types...not just iWork documents. But, HOW do you post anything else but an iWork document to the website for sharing or just your own use on another computer. As long as the iDisk is going to the dogs, I am trying to prepare to have things available in another way. I HATE all of this new Apple hype about what the products can do, but no instruction anywhere on HOW TO DO IT!!

I appreciate your perspective, but read the other posts here too. The "ridiculous" part is that this whole upgrade happened and I have spent HOURS on the phone and online with regard to it and the fact that it was not planned well. Consider this:
The Apple servers could not handle the iOS5 traffic. My phone was totallly disabled for hours by the process (put into "recovery mode") so not only did I have to keep trying to get the upgrade, but, in the process, NOTHING worked on my phone. I spent at least an hour on this phone call to Apple.
There was nothing intelligible on the web about how to do anything in iCloud! I know it's changed in the past 48 hours, but there were more calls.
Then, my iDisk would not sync. After another frustrating phone call, I was told by a "technician" that I would no longer be able to use/sync iDisk since I had switched to iCloud, and that I had to manually upload my documents through a website connection he gave me. If you don't believe any of this, I saved a transcript of my entire computer-based chat with him. After more hours, I discovered that when I updated my 2nd computer at the office, the iDisk could sync again!
It has gone on and on like this for me (I'm in Canada) since Wednesday night. I should not have had to spend all this time and so many phone calls/computer chats with Apple to get the information that should have been there from the start. They claimed to be surprised that so many people were all trying to do this at the same time. What the heck did they expect?
My anger is about the fact that I don't want to work now on an iPad and I certainly don't want to work on documents on my iPhone. I like my computer (Macbook Pro) and I like Microsoft Office. Don't tell me overnight to start using iWork and that everything has to go through an iOS. That's what is ridiculous. At least give me that choice, but let me feel that I can also keep iDisk, or its equivalent. I have now paid for storage on Dropbox...just in case!
