Posting periods are closed by some user , there is table we can find the user id and peroid closing . iam unable to recall .any body help me OMSY entyies updated in to whicjh table

Depreciation Posting to closed business area

Hi all
Recently we have upgraded from ECC 6.0 SP07 to SP11. I find that depreciation is being posted even if the Business Area is closed. This was not so during SP07. This is true if we have done a Depreciation Recalculation". Else it will not post in closed BA.
Is this normal behaviour or are we missing something. Are any other users experiencing the same problem (?)

u say , u parked a docuement in Feb month , but the user want that document parked in the month of january.(which is already closed)
Ok but suppose if u reset the document, then docuement date or posting date cannot be reset,. only amount or reference field u can reset.
So u reverse the parked document in the month of Feb,from t.code FB08 and if u parked that document in the month of jan , u can open the period from OB52 transaction.

Changing PO details when posted in closed period

Hi,
We are on SBO2007A PL42.
When we attempt to change details on a purchase order that was posted in a period that is now closed, we are unable to do so.
There shouldn't be a problem modifying these PO's as they don't affect the general ledger in any way.
The only way we have found around it is to modify the posting date of the PO and then change the details we want to change.
Is there any other way to allow us to change the details without changing the posting date?

This is a problem with authorisations, which is fixed in PL46 of 2007A.
Try giving authorisation to "update posted AR documents", or to allow to "post to Closing Periods".
I have found I needed to give both of these to get this to work.
The other option is to change the date on the PO to a date in an open period.
These should be able to be updated by superusers?

there could be few possible reasons:
1. Check the Message no 053, has been made as warning/no message in OMCQ....
2. check the current open periods in OMSY for your co. code...if its open for Sep. then you can post ...by using the perivious posting allowed indicator in MMRV...
3. It may be possible that your periods are open till nov.

You can restrict this in t.code OB52 through authorisation group. Define authorisation group in OB52 and assign the same to user id with help of basis.

How to Post Data to a User's Account

Has anyone figured out a good way to post data to a user's account? For example, if a site visitor completes something on the site (ie: a quiz) is there a way to show a badge/score on a page inside of their account (ie: you've completed the following tasks/unlocked the following achievements)? It would be nice for the user to see a history of completions/badges.

No this is not possible.
If your workitem is sent to 5 users, you should start there. Where is it sent and where are the agents determined.
What you can do, in case of 4-eyes approval is that you use one agent as the excluded agent in the agents declaration of a workflow step.

Posting period closing

Hi Gurus,
Can any one tell me is it neccessary to close the posting period every month. Can i have th posting period for my client open for one full year. which means open and close the posting period only once a year, rather than opening and closing every month.

The answer to your question would be YES. you can have a past period open and leave it at that for however long you want to..
ex, you want aug 2008 open for the next 6 months
Currently in the system, if you have back posting active, then July 08, and Aug 08 are open
now do not close the period until the next 6 months...so July 08, and Aug 08 will stay open..
Now lets say, September has come, date 09-02-08.. A GR or IR Would not let you post as September is not open yet.. you'd have to choose a date in Jul 08 or Aug 08.. Which again would be incorrect.
so, bottom line.. close the period at the end of each month, else you cannot post to the current calendar month

Destroy the session automatically when the browser is closed by user

Is it possible to automatically destroy a session when the browser is closed by the user with the X?
Basically, what we want to do is to create the same effect when the user is closing the browser (with the X button) as when the ordinary log out button is used. That is to have the session destroyed.
Any ideas?

Hacking into the form values file to retrieve a post after closing a window

Okay, I'd just finished editing and re-editing a very long post and was doublechecking some of the links when I inadvertedly closed the entire window instead of merely closing the tabbed page I'd brought the new link up on to test it.
I poked around and found a long binary file called "Form Values" in library/safari directory and I would just bet this has my full post in it. I copied it to the desktop because I had a feeling that if I opened another form with Safari, the info would be rewritten and lost forever. So I do have a safety copy now.
Anyone have any idea at all how I could retrieve that information, and convert it from binary back into text form so I would not have to spend another two hours remembering and rewriting the post?
Or a way of getting Safari to recognize it and read it into a new post form?
Boy, recovering data with a menu item like "undo close window" or a reopen sure would be a nice feature... I bet I'm not the only person that's done this.

I just downloaded Hex Editor and gave myself a trip down memory lane (hadn't used one of these editors since my DOS days). Anyway, as I expected, it looks like the Form Values file is encrypted - there are no recognizable text strings to extract. In any case, this file contains the data you used to fill out forms at particular sites, it does not carry the entire page or form.
You could try Retrospective to see if you can find the page with the form in Safari's cache. If you do find it, the form could be filled out as when you closed the window or it could be blank as when it was last loaded into Safari - I don't know which because I haven't searched the cache with this puspose in mind before.

Posting GR against IB, user-exit to calcluate exchange rate

Hi guys, this is my requirement.
When we do a goods receipts in VL32N (Click on post goods receipts), this will create a material document, the amounts calculated in the material document (Amount in Local Currency, mseg-DMBTR) are calculated against the posting date of the material document from the table V_TCURR (transaction OB08). We want these amounts to be calculated against another date that we will provide, not the posting date from the material document. The business don't want to change the posting date of the material document.
How can I do that, is there a BAdi, user-exit, enhancement spot/options?

check --> at this point ,whether is already calculated the price of the Doc ? if yes then based on the new logic u can re-calc the Xchange rate.
