The position and priority field in user status is meant for the below determination
There are two types of status display:
Status line: Up to 8 active statuses are displayed in one line (only the 4-character status IDs).
The position specifies at which place in the status line a status should be displayed. If several active statuses have the same position, only the status with the highest priority is displayed. If not all positions of the status line are used, the positions are moved to the left.
Status overview: All active statuses (status IDs and description) are displayed in list form.
The status overview is sorted by position and priority.

Status profile for utility contracts in CRM
Hi,
Right now the status of the utility contracts created in CRM webclient remains unchanged to status 'Open'.
Create a contract - 'Open'
End a contract - 'Open'
Does anyone know if we need to allocate a status profile to the transaction type/item category in CRM? And if so which status profile should we use?
We are using IS-U specific transaction type ISUL, with the business transaction category 'BUS2000249' for the utility contract in CRM. Is there any utility specific status profile that we should use? or is this field supposed to be empty?

Thanks for your reply. Are your contract status being changed although you havn't allocated a status profile to the transaction type or item category?
In your reply you said that our status issues might come from the transaction type customizing. But the only place I can see that I can customize anything regarding the status is the status field? Our contract is being replicated fine... no problems there, the only issue is that the status of the contract is not being updated....

We have created Status profile through BS02 as follows

Then i have assigned these to Object type Quality info reocord and i have assigned status profile in Quality info record.
Now pl guide me how we proceed further. since as per SAP document says that each stages to be assigned in different inspection type.

How to restrict status profile for sales order.
Dear Friends,
Pl suggest me for follwoing scenario
► As per business process for tender/ institutional sales and exports, the order is complete once the complete delivery and invoicing for the same has been performed.
► It was also observed that a sales order may be modified (material, quantity, price etc) even after complete invoicing of the same has been performed in SAP.
The requirement is Possibility to enable a control to restrict any amendments to the sales order after complete delivery and invoicing will be explored as per business requirements.
Is there any solution above scenario without writing any code.

My understanding is, you don't want your user to be able to change the pricing and order quantity once the order is complete, i.e Delivered and Shipped.
The status profile will not help you in the above scenario, Price/Quantity changes will not come up as Business transactions that can be controlled at Status profile.
Standard SAP restricts the price changes to a completed item of the order, so no need to worry about this.
But order quantity can be increased any time.
So to restrict the user to increase the order quantity you need to use the User-Exits that SAP provided.
Use the MV45AFZB user-exit program and form FORM userexit_check_vbap to code this.

Error in RFx with user-specified status profile
Hi experts,
I am having an issue in SRM 7.0 creating status profile for RFx.
When I try to create a new RFx, I get an error screen with message "Status profile ZCCP is not allowed for "Bidding Header""
In order to configure this, I went through the steps described in SAP Library:
1- Define user-specified status profiles in Customizing for Supplier Relationship Management under SRM Server->Cross-Industry Functions->Application Settings->User-Specified Status->Create Status Profile for User-Specified Status:
I created status profile ZCCP with the following data:
10 SUSP Suspended 10 90 1 1
90 HABI Abilities 10 90 1 1
and I assigned the status profile to object type "Bid Invitation Header (PS_BBP)"
2- Assign user-specified status profiles to procurement documents in Customizing for Supplier Relationship Management under SRM Server->Cross-Industry Functions->Application Settings->User-Specified Status->Assign User-Specified Status Profiles to Purchasing Documents
I created a new entry with:
BUS2200 H Header 0 ZCCP
3- Assign user-specified status profiles for each transaction type in Customizing for Supplier Relationship Management under SRM Server->Cross-Application Basic Settings->Define Transaction Types
I assigned the status profile ZCCP to all relevant operation types of obj. type BUS2200.
Does anyone know where this went wrong??

You can use Status Management for records and documents. In Customizing, define the status values and the permitted sequence of these values. Users can then set these status values as attributes for records or documents.
The following Customizing steps need to be performed for Status Management:

To perform this step, choose IMG activity Customizing for Status Management -> Define Status For more information, see the online documentation for the IMG activity.
Status profile definition
To perform this step, choose IMG activity Customizing for Status Management -> Define Status Profile. For more information, see the online documentation for the IMG activity.
Status network definition
To perform this step, choose IMG activity Customizing for Status Management -> Define Status Network. For more information, see the online documentation for the IMG activity.
· Assignment of a status profile to an element type
For element types whose elements you want to use Status Management for, assign an existing status profile to connection parameter STATE_PROFILE_ID. (The connection parameter is only offered for records and documents.)
Subsequently, users will be offered the attribute Status in the attribute maintenance dialog box whenever they edit the elements in question. Input help contains the status values that you have created.
If you want to use Status Management for the API, you require the following authorization objects: S_SRM_STAT, S_SRM_ST_P and S_SRM_ST_N.

maybe I have't depict the problem,
I use user status profiles to do sales order approve, i have defined a status profiles and assigned it to sales document type , i have defined two statuses A00 and B00 in the status profiles .
I hope if the sales order in status A00,it'can make to MD04,when the sales order approved to status B00,It can make to MD04.
but I don't know which business transaction shoud I choose when defining the profiles' status A00 by t-code BS02.

How to trigger different Initial statuses in same status profile
Hello All,
In a CHaRm flow, while creating a SDCR document from SLFN we want to make a distinction depending on the subject in SLFN. If the subject is X, then the status should (in the follow-on document SDCR)be "To be estimated" but when the subject is Y then the initial status should (in the follow-on document SDCR) be "Approved".
Since SDCR has only one status profile linked to it which has an initial status as "to be estimated". The logic is not working when we want the initial status as "Approved". Is there anyway to overide the initial status in SDCR ?
Help would be highly appreciated and rewarded.

My problem is a bit different than yours.
But i can help you. You can create a Z status profile as a copy of the existing status profile. Go to transaction CRMBS02 and copy the status profile SLFN0001 to a new ZSLFN001. Once u have copied to Z status profile, u can go to Transaction types in IMG and change the status profile for SLFN Transaction type (which is used for Service Desk) with ur new status profile..
This is one way. But its recommended to copy the transaction type to a Z transaction type and assign your Z status profile to this transaction type. In the status profile, then u can maintain new statuses as u wish.

Use FM CFX_API_STATUS_PROFILE_ASSIGN somewhere in any user exit or BADI (let me know the scenario)
we pass status profile GUID and the Folder / Doc /collaboration GUID into the FM and it attaches the status profile to desired object.

While for both project and WBS the user status profile is assigned in the project profile, the network activity status profile is assigned in the network type.
But where to default the network status profile? Or in the network type it should be for both: network and activity?

I have checked both BAPI but BAPI are not working as per our requirement.
Firstly we wanted to update progress parameter like measurement method(progress version,method plan,method actual) & POC weight into activity but as per BAPI given by you there is no any field available related to measurement method(progress version,method plan,method actual).
And secondly we wanted to update status profile residing in Activity tab not in network header or WBS.
Waiting for some more input related to query.

Hi friends,
I have created a status profile at the header with option like CRTD and APPRD. The transaction control is Forbid billing when CRTD and Allow Billing when APPRD. I have attached this profile to the Sales document header.
At the item level i have created status profile with option like DUE and INST with transcation control Forbid billing when DUE and Allow Billing when INST.
My problem is when I set the status as APPRD at header, the billing of items with status DUE takes place.
Please suggest how to restrict billing of items where the Status is DUE.

In which tab you are maintaining delivery block in the delivery item data or order item data.
As per my concern there is no field called Delivery Block in the item data of the sales order and delivery.
In the header data you have.

Updating User Status and Status Profile for a Project
Hi,
I am creating a Project using BAPI_BUS2001_CREATE.
which uses a structure BAPI_BUS2001_NEW for storing details of a New Project.
It <b>does not have fields for User Status and Status Profile</b> , if any one of you worked on Project Systems, please tell me is there any way to update these 2 fields.
I have tried lot of FuncModules and BAPIs which deal with PROJECT CHANGE and PROJECT MODIFY but none of them has these 2 fields.
Please provide me some solution for this.

In Table VBUK you 3 different status related fields for sales documents.
Over all status field name GBSTK ( here it gives the total status of praticular sales document) here you see options
A Not yet processed ( This means its complete open)
B Partially processed ( This means the sales doc is partially processed)
C Completely processed ( This means the sales doc is completly processed)
Delivery status and over all delivery status field name LFSTK and LFGSK respectively, these 2 fields will be same always ( here it gives the total status of praticular sales document) here you see options
A Not yet processed ( This means its completly open)
B Partially processed ( This means the delivery doc is partially processed)
C Completely processed ( This means the delivery doc is completly processed)
So overall status can be different then delivery or overall delivery status.
If sales document has 100 quantity for 1 material, if delivery is done for 50 quantity.
Then over all status field name GBSTK will be B Partially processed and delivery and overall delivery will be C Completely processed .

Different user status profile for network header and activities
Hi everyone!
Is there any way to define different user status profile at network header level and at network activity level? As far as I know, it is only possible to enter a user profile at network type level, and both netwok headers and activities use the same statuses. Does it work this way?

I've gone through the OPSC, but the thing is that here you define a user status profile at network plant level. But I need to define it at network activity level.
The reason why I need this is because we have types of activities. We use network activities for client activities, for internal activities, to identify and follow-up risk management, etc. Each group of activities -since they have different usages- has different user status associated. But as I don't have any way to assign different user status profiles, all the activities have the same statuses, although they will only use some of them.
