Potal webservice - SP14 NWDS issue
Hi Experts,
Is it possible to create Portal webservice from SP14 - NWDS?
Issue: I have created a Portal service, trying to create a webservice from Portal service but I am not getting the Portal Webservice option (Select the Portal Service -> New -> Other -> Portal Application -> Create a new Portal Application Object -> Clicked on Next button -> Selected the Portal Service -> Next button ->Here I could able to see only three options ( (1)RF Component Wizard7.1.5 (2)Portal Component (3)Portal Service ). I am not getting the Portal webservice option. In my previous thread got the info that, in SP12 we could able to have the Portal webservice option. May I know the proper link to download the NWDS which supports Portal webservice from service market place?
Some XI ppl have knowledge on EP also, so that I have put this question here.

Sara
Hi Sara,
It is possible to create a portal service..
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/df/e6b74253ffda11e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
then expose the portal service as webservice using NWDS webservice perspective..
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/df/e6b74253ffda11e10000000a155106/frameset.htm

SaraHi,
From service market place http://service.sap.com/sp-stacks , choose NW04 or 04S. Choose source and destination patch, check WAS and others. From next page, you can check the box for studio alone for download.

Consume an RFC webservice in NWDS 7.0.9
Is it possible to consume an RFC webservice in NWDS 7.0.9. Please provide me with the steps for the same.
Runtime server local path should be:
/usr/sap/EDH/JC04/j2ee/ -- if your WSDL is saved in a local path with only one folder say /wsdl/ then the WSDL should be located there as well as what the tutorial is said. So, in this case it should be:
/usr/sap/EDH/JC04/j2ee/wsdl/myABAPWebService.wsdl

Java.rmi.RemoteException - on deploying a webservice through NWDS.
Hi All,
We have created and successfully build a webservice application in NWDS.
Now when the activity is activated in Activation view, the build goes fine but deployment gets aborted with the following error:
Caught exception during application deployment from SAP J2EE Engine's deploy service:
java.rmi.RemoteException: Cannot deploy application syngenta.com/crmws~usprvwebservice..
Reason: Webservices common deployment exception! The reason is: Error occurred, trying to update web services for application
The Runtime system is on SAP J2EE ENGINE CORE 7.00 - SPS 19.
For the same issue i checked in SDN and found out a SAP NOTE - 956443, according to which 2 sda files 'webservices' and 'webservices_lib' were to be deployed on the server.
We have done the same and restarted the engine also. But still on deployment we got the same error again.
Just wanted to know the workaround for this issue and whether some updated version of this SAP Note does exist?
Regards,
ShaileshHi All,
Now the above issue has been resolved and the webservice is getting deployed successfully, and is visible under Web service Navaigator of the desired server.
But when i am clicking on the webservice name i am getting an error:
Cannot download WSDL from http://<name>:<port>/webservicename/Config1?wsdl: java.lang.NullPointerException.
Could you please help out with this issue.

Webservice in NWDS having JCO code
Hi All,
I have a requirement which is to create a JAVA web service in NWDS which can service a .NET internet Application take some data from .NET and
put it into the SAP by calling a RFC Module...
I have written a class which has two methods
it simply connects to SAP & processes the RFC Module...
This class works fine if i run it as a
standalone java application with a main
method.. <b>but it fails</b> when i deploy it as a web service and try to run it through a Standalone
Client ... it is able to create the
WSDL and the methods are also visible but it
fails from the code where JCO logic starts...
I am getting the error message as
<b>Warning ! Protocol Implementation [com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.
wsdl2java.features.builtin.MessageIdProtocol] could not be loaded (NoClassDefFoundError) !

I am using sapjco.jar in the project properties dialog box but it is not there when the EAR is generated & deployed..
Can this be a problem ??? If yes where should i put
this sapjco.jar
Please help me out as i am really facing a hard time finding out the reason for thisHi Maksim,
Thankyou so much maksim for the jar file path
you had given , the first error is gone
when i put the jar file in project
properties.
But i am still getting some errors
because of the JCO library methods that
i am using ... all other simple web services
work fine in my system but i am getting
following errors
<b>javax.xml.rpc.soap.SOAPFaultException: com/sap/mw/jco/JCO
at com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.
wsdl2java.soapbinding.MimeHttpBinding.

at proxy.ConfigBindingStub.setEclipseData(ConfigBindingStub.java:96)
at com.carrier.isa.Client.main(Client.java:29)</b>
when i put a simple code like
<b>JCO.Client aConnection=null;
IRepository aRepository=null;
try {
System.out.println("Creating a client");
aConnection=JCO.createClient(
SAP_CLIENT,
USER_ID,
PASSWORD,
LANGUAGE,
HOST_NAME,
SYSTEM_NUMBER);</b> System.out.println(aConnection.toString());
ArrayList array=new ArrayList();
array.add("Tarun");
array.add("Abhay");
array.add("Sujit");
array.add("Sandy");
array.add("Sachin");
returnStr=array.get(2).toString()"--"test;
catch(Exception e)
e.printStackTrace();
return returnStr;
the code above is just a snippet of the whole .
I have sapjco.jar in project properties in NWDS or eclipse but this jar is missing when
i build an EAR in the Web services perspective..
Can the missing of this jar in the
project EAR be the cause of problem ...
if yes let me know where should i add it ...
Also, I created a simple java project so i
am not having any WEB-INF folder ...
do i need to create a web project instead ..
Please help me as you did earlier ..
I would be highly obliged .... -
TcUserOperationsIntf issue in a CXF/Spring/Webservice/tomcat wrapper issue
I have written several POJOs using tcUserOperationsIntf and other thor API. I am trying to expose some of these calls as web services using Spring/CXF frameworks. When i wrote a web service client, I am getting the exception below. I set JAVA_OPTS and CATALINA_OPTS environment variables to "-DXL.HomeDir=. -Djava.security.auth.login.config=C:\dev\projects\SSO\utilities\oimclient\conf\authwl.conf"
All the calls work correctly from within JDeveloper and command line JVM calls. Only when run in tomcat i am getting this issue. I am running this on tomcat 6.0.32 with same JVM linked to JDeveloper.
Any suggestions with this issue is much appreciated.
thanks in advance.

Hi experts
i have a scenario
JBoss server -
> SAP XI -
> SAP
i had create the webservice in SAP XI through senderagreement --->publish URL
its automatically generated the WSDL file
URL is like this
1)"http://host:port/dir/wsdl?p=sa/0dacd6e6ede73794b0e9d4814430fced"
but in address location we found another URL
2) https://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?senderParty=&senderService=(bussiness component name)&receiverParty=&receiverService=&interface=SI(service interface name)&interfaceNamespace=%3A%2F%%2F (namespace)
we are able to call the wsdl in internet explorer by using first URL
we unable to call the same wsdl using second URL.
why URL were different ?
is it possible to change the first URL format?
i followed the below forums
wsdl url of pi SOAP Sender (that is used by invoking soap client)
Using SOAP Sender adapter in PI 7.1
and i tried what mentioned in above forums but no luck .
if i use the below URL format
http://host:HTTPPort/XISOAPAdapter/MessagingServlet?channel=party:sendersystem:CC_sender
http://host:port /XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?senderParty=FP& senderService=FS& interface=IF&receiverParty=TP&receiverService=TS&interfaceNamespace=IFNamespace
it gives the some ssl missing error
please help me out
Thanks In advanceHi katakoti,
could you send the message sucessfully to PI if you use the first URL which you mentioned?
I am not very clear your problem but give u some input.
when u display WSDL file in ID, use below URL in step 2/5.
if there is a party in ur scenario: http://<host>:<j2ee-port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=<party>:<service>:<channel>
if there is no party in ur scenario: http://<host>:<j2ee-port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:<service>:<channel>
also u can send the message directly into Integration Engine by using below URL.
Using the SOAP inbound channel of the Integration Engine
http://<server>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&version=3.0&Sender.Service=<Business Component>&Interface=<InterfaceNamespace>%5E<Interface>
in previous, we used SoapUI for the WSDL testing. there is no problem. and i have not seen the URL like ur first one.
regenerate the WSDL file and try again. good luck.:)

HELP please - NWDS issue: Customized application based on 'vanilla' SAP DCs
Hello,
I am about to deliver a SAP Web-Channel solution and therefore I have to make some developments on the 'vanilla' application as nothing is perfect as it comes out of the box. We have setup all tracks to download & build the SAP standard application (Java, WAR und EAR part), but I do not want to modify the DCs directly instead I like to create my own DC to add my developments on top.
What I did within the NWDS
1. I have downloaded the WAR, EAR, and java SC from the NWDI
2. I have created my own DC such as "CUST/ISA/WAR"
3. I have assinged the original war "crm/isa/web/b2b" as Used DC
I performed the build, but when I take a look in the generated WAR file, the source code / JSP files are merged with my own - instead I can find the used DC as JAR file within the lib folder.
I also followed the instructs as described in the published PDF: How_To_Create_Custom_App_ECO5200.pdf
I almost tried everything, but I can't see any obvious difference to the setup as SAP did. The original WAR project from SAP also depends on other DCs, which includes their JSP files, but I can't find the difference to the steps I did ..... PANIK!
Does anyone know what could have went wrong?
Cheers,
AndreasProblem solved. I just figured out that I need a postbuild.vm within the "cfg" folder. To figure that out, it almost drove me crazy. There is no documentation available and it is getting more trick if you have to retrieve code from a WAR project and not a Java Project as the component is not listed within the dependencies, which are required for the compilation.

Edited by: lakshman balanagu on Jun 24, 2008 11:20 AMHi
Try out this thing: I am not sure as I have not done this.
Go to this link: http://<server>:<j2ee port>/nwa --> System Management --> Overview --> Configuration
Application Resouce ( Select your resource from the list)
Check for "Connection Pooling".
Here you can check different options. -

Workflow & Webservices: data flow issue
Hi
Can anyone please guide me on the following.
How the data move between task container to webservice( or to BSP page). I did required binding between workflow & task container elements.
In my case, Right BSP page[which is associate with the TASK] is being opened in browser, when workitem is executed; But data is not visible on the page.
I have maintained the ParameterIDs while creating/generating the TASK from bsp page from wf_extsrv. They are visible in workflow container.
With what these elements should be binded? Am i missing any step.
Thanking you in advance.
Regards,
Pramod.

Yes, the attribute is empty and not is mandatory. These error occur in Standard Workflow SAP and Customer Workflow (my developments).
These error occurs if <b>some information</b> (attribute) of the workflow container that is used in <b>some data flow</b> (binding definition) will be empty.
Example: I have a SendMail step in my workflow, and the email address is one attribute from business object. Before this step (sendmail), when the previous step is concluded and if the attribute (mail address) is empty, the error ocurr's.
I believe that the email would not have to be sent for nobody, and not ocurr's an error. I think that these problem is one support package error.

NWDS - Issue - Integration conflicts
Hi
we are upgrading our CRM-ISA Java application from SP11 to SP19. During this operation when we are resolving DTR conflicts
the modification are not added under to our local files(NWDS). it was adding directly to the activity. Due to this we are not able
to test this application in our local server. Please provide your guidance on this pls.
Thanks
Prasad.Dear Durga,
Did you try to deploy the application directly and test it. Hope it will work if there is no errors.
Best Regards
