Potential dynamic server list updating problem in cluster

We are running a cluster of four Windows 2000 Server boxes under WLS
6.1SP2. We have seen the following behavior in our cluster. We shutdown
a cluster member and then bring it back up. When it comes back up, the
IIS plug-in seems to start routing all requests to that new server.
Out cluster seems to have some multicast connectivity problems, e.g. we
often cannot see managed servers on the admin. console, etc. What I'm
wondering is whether the server when it comes up could be telling IIS
that it is the only cluster member because it isn't aware of any other
members. This would explain the plug-ins sudden affinity for the new server.
Is this possible? Has anyone seen this?
          Thanks in advance,
          Coty
P.S. The box that is being restarted and then hogging the requests is
also the server where the admin. console is running. Could that be the
issue? What exactly are the implications of running a managed server and
the admin. console on one box?

Is it that the admin server is also part of the cluster and is the server
          that is being restarted?
Try to have the admin server for purely administrative tasks and not as part
          of a working cluster.
If you have Debug set to ON in the plugin end, try checking the server list
          http://IISServer:port/dummyQuery?__WebLogicBridgeConfig
This should return the dynamic and static server list that the IIS proxy is
          supposed to forward.
Check before restart and after restart.
Also contact support to get the newest ISAPI plugin that contains latest
          fixes.

  • WLS 5.1 Cluster - Dynamic Server List

              Hi all,
I have multiple (more than 4) servers in a cluster on a WLS5.1, Netscape web server/Proxy-plugin
on a Solaris environment - each running on separate boxes.
Is there a way I can dynamically (run-time) take one server out of the cluster
(READ: Not shutting it down. Just taking it out of the cluster ONLY - it still
needs to be up for me to do some diagnostics on that server).
I have seen docs on doing it thru the Admin Console in WLS 6.X. What about 5.1
Thanks in advance for your help,
              Nanjan

On Unix you can also unplug the IP:port combo at the OS level ... but I
              can't remember the command.

  • 10.7 server, software update problems

Ok, so i got my server all up and running, and then i started software update server.  This is were the problem happened, the next day my ISP reported i used about 60 gig's in one day.  I noticed that i check marked the wrong block, but even not i unchecked it, it still looks for all updates, is there a way to fix this?

Just an update - I configured the server to be a private server.  I can now see the hub and all the other macs/pcs on my network (OK - both of them!).  I still cannot see the internet.
I am beginning to rue the advice from the apple shop that the server version was the same, but with a better set of processors and disk!

  • Dynamic Parameter List works on desktop but not when run on Crystal Server

    Hi,
I have a report, and the database command query takes one parameter ({?Year}. There is a second parameter used for a record select which is a dynamic paramenter list (multiple select, required). When running the report from Crystal Reports 2008 on my desktop, it first prompts for a year, and then once that is entered, it will come back with the list (of Companies) to select from. It works very smootly and as desired.
But when I load this report to Crystal Reports 2008 Server, it will ask for the year (which is a static list), and this is good, but then it comes back with an empty dynamic select list on the next screen.
Are there any special caveats that I need to be aware of in regards to dynamic lists when running from the CR server?
    Thanks!

    Hi Pat,
This should work but a couple of things to check:
    1)  Are the two parameters linked to the same database?  If the parameters are linked to fields from different tables in different databases then you need to make sure you set the Database Configuration and have the report log on to both databases.
    2)  Are Crystal Reports and Crystal Server the same version?  I had problems with parameters after we upgraded to 2008.  We had to install the latest service packs for both Crystal 2008 and the Enterprise Server.  Then we installed Crystal 2008 on the same machine the Enterprise Server was on.  Crystal Reports and the Enterprise Server share some common files.  Some of those files were updated for Crystal but not for the Enterprise Server yet.  Once we synched them our reports have run fine.
    Good luck,
    Brian

  • No Planning server/database is listed in Business Rules Cluster 11.1.2.

Issue: no planning server is listed under "Planning" located under available servers list while adding a cluster. However Essbase server is listed.
Have I created a cluster for planning and registered/configured properly? Yes I did after going thru lot
(you can read more here: Re: Unable to connect to Planning URL after new instal & configuration 11.1.2
I have configured Planning after Essbase/EAS. I am not sure if this is anything to do or not. I went thru following thread and read up listed doc and did not find any resolution. Error creating planning locations from eas console

I'm still having this problem. I checked that RMI is running but whenever I try to enter in Planning the logs write that it can't connect to the eas database, and HBRPluginData relational table isn't being filled.

  • Weblogic Plugin Configuration Problem -- no more in server list

HELP! Has anyone seen anything like this before. What we are seeing
is that the plugin sporadically sends requests to the wrong weblogic
instance. When it sends it to the wrong instance we are seeing the
following in the wlproxy.log. Like I said, this happens sporadically.
Sometimes it will work just fine for an entire transaction. Does
anyone know what the "no more in server list" means. We've had bea on
the phone for the last 12 hours and they haven't been able to help us
up to this point. If I need to send any more information please let
              me know....
              Thanks in advance!!!

This one sound stricky. Have you checked all the usual suspects:
-same cookie name in WB-INF/weblogic.xml and the cookiename set in
plugin settings (defualts to JSESSIONID in 6.x)
-network errors between web servers and WLS servers
That utility can be invaluable in solving problems like this.I have seen
session settings cause sessions to be lost, but never the message you
are talking about. Try turning on the "DebugConfigInfo" setting and see
what the "?__WebLogicBridgeConfig" page can tell you about your
settings, what server list it is using and what servers are
primary/secondary. One tip, you need to hit the WLS server one time, and
then use the "?__WebLogicBridgeConfig". Until it communicates with the
WLS server, it can only tell you it's own settings and not any
information about up servers and primary/secondary assignements. Also
look to make sure each server in the "Server List" has a blue ":OK" next
to it to signify the plugin can see them.
Hope that can help, though I am not sure they will deal with the problem
you are seeing. Make sure you post the outcome to this issue, I will be
              very interested in seeing it.

  • AFP Connection Problems after Server Security Update 2009-006

After installing the Security Update 2009-006 on the Server, we have Problems to mount Shares from two differnt AFP-Servers on the Client.
The Client and the Server have a binding to AD.
The Client can connect to Server1 via AFP.
But after this, the connection to Server2 shows the Volumen List from Server1!
Same Problem when the first Connection mounts Server2 and then Server1.
I tried the second connect with DNS-Name and IP-Adress.
There is no Problem when i am useing SMB.
Have anyone a Idea or the same Problem?
    Thanks
    Sven

  • SQL Server 2005 Update mechanism problem

    Hi Gurus,
We're faced with one SQL Server 2005 update mechanism problem. Here is my problem:
According to our requirement, an add_on interface program is designed to execute creation of production order by calling Bapi.
There are 3 steps in this add_on program:
          Step 1: Create production order
Step 2: Change the information of production.
          Step 3: Some other
After the step 1 has finished immediately step 2 is called, Howerver the information which should have inserted into database table couldn't be found from database. (Maybe because the time between two steps is too short to finish inserting)
In order to ensure the complete of the transaction, before the step 2 executed, the information in step 1 should have inserted into database.
Is there any solution to solve this problem?
I guess whether there is any parameter which control the time of writing buffer into database...
    Any advice is appreciated.
    Thanks & Best Regards,

  • Microsoft Update server list

    Hi All,
As per our organization policy, we have to only the access from our WSUS server to Microsoft Update servers. I need a list of IP address/segment pool of Microsoft Update servers over Internet. Our firewall only supports IP addresses/ports as the criterion.
Our firewall DO NOT support any FQDN/URL/wildcard. Could you help me please?
    Thanks,
    高麻雀

    Hi Milos,
Thanks for your quick reply. We can try my best to check the IP addresses of the FQDNs frequently. However, the prerequisite is I know the FQDNs. But from the information you shared to me, I can see there are wildcards in the URLs. In this case,
how can I check the IP addresses of these FQDNs (I don't think network monitor is a good solution)? Or can I understand that package filtering based firewall (IP address/port based firewall) does not support Microsoft Update server list? And we also have
to change our firewall to support URL with wildcards? But how to deal with the HTTPS URLs which are encrypted by SSL? Or we have to violate our policy to enable the full Internet access for our WSUS server?
    Thanks,

  • Dynamic Select List Allowed Values

    Howdy Folks,
I am trying to allow end users to select their username. The usernames are generated from a rule library, and displayed in a select form element. I am doing this by having the allowedValues call the rule that generates the possible names directly. The rule returns a list of valid names. The problem I am currently having, is that if the page reloads or refreshes, then the allowedValues calls the rule again. Some of the username choices involve random numbers, so it is possible (and very likely), that separate calls to the rule will generate different potential values. So what is now happening, is that when a user selects the value, the page reloads, and the end user sees an error that looks like this:
( ) - Warning: Selected value for field 'Select a Valid User Name' does not match any of the allowed values.
The reason I am reloading the page, is that I am also trying to show the user what their email address will look like with the new value. So I have a different form element that is loading is value dynamically, and referencing the select form element. This mostly works, but the warning above is unacceptable.
Is there a way I can load the dynamically created list only once, the first time the form is viewed, and not load it again every time the page refreshes?
Another thing I tried to do (but didn't have luck with, so I sorta gave up on it) was to use the onChange of the select to change the value of email display field. This way the page never reloads and I don't have to deal with that issue. I'm thinking the onChange might actually work, but I would need to execute javascript or something, and not just use an express <set/> command to set the value of the field name that displays the email text.
Does anyone have advice on how to make the values only load once? Or how to change the value on the onChange event?
    Thanks!
    Jim

    Mike,
Thanks for the feedback. I actually did try that eventually. I created a variable in the form, and initialized that variable to the list of possible values. Then I referenced the variable in the 'allowedValues' of the select form item. At that point in time I still had the select box set as an action, so it would reload the page, hoping to reload the value in the email display field. This still did not work. Each time the action fired off, the variable was re-initializing itself. I eventually tried to put in a check, so it would not re-initialize itself if it had already been initialized. That caused a syslog error.
I ended up solving the problem using javascript. I changed the field that reported the potential email address to an html element. Then for the html attribute I made a div with an ID. I then set a line of javascript into the onChange attribute of the select form element. This worked when ever the select form value changed. I then added the same line of javascript to the onLoad attribute of the jsp pages body element. This worked for loading the page.
This solved the problem of the page reloading and the select getting new values. That still happens if you actually reload the page, but all the form elements work without the reload now.
    Thanks!
    Jim

  • Process scheduler server list is not populating in SERVER LIST page.

    Need urgent help.
We have PeopleSoft Campus Solution 8.52,9.0 application. We had two Process Scheduler server one in Linux and one in NT. There was one issue that all the jobs which processed were getting into success and reports were also posted, however it was not updating the database with data. In order to solve it I created a new Process Scheduler server at onther NT machine. This time when I navigated to Process Monitor --> Server List pages it has no data there. I ran COBOL job but it went to successful and report posetd but nothing was updated into the database.
Please help me out of this situation.
    Thanks
    Vikrant

Thanks a lot RCC for your response.
    There is actually three issues
1)Process Monitor Server List page has no data.
2)As I go to run a process in the system process request I see that the Server Name,Reccurence,Type and Format are not workin or they are disabled.
3)Cobol jobs which I am running through PSNT is not updating database, however the Process is getting successful and reports are having posted status, but when I go to see Reports it is not having any output file its blank.I tried to check the reports at webserver, there were also no reports were published,However it works properly for all other Process.
For the first problem it has got resolved the solution is in this "Process Monitor Server List Not Populating With Data (Doc ID 615323.1)"( for those who face this problem in future :)).
For your query RCC, I have named same name of PSNT which was earlier in the different machine.
    Please help
    Thanks

  • IMPORT from database with dynamic parameter list

    Hi Gurus,
Iu2019m having problems during import from a cluster table.
I wanu2019t to do an import with a dynamic parameter list, but I cannot get it to work.
    Sample code ********
    DATA: BEGIN OF st_key,
    report LIKE rsvar-report,
    variant LIKE rsvar-variant,
    END OF st_key.
DATA dirtab1 LIKE cdir OCCURS 10 WITH HEADER LINE.
DATA dirtab2 LIKE cdir OCCURS 10 WITH HEADER LINE.
    st_key-report = 'ZPRG'.
    st_key-variant = 'VAR1'.
IMPORT DIRECTORY INTO dirtab1 FROM DATABASE vari(vb) ID st_key.
IMPORT DIRECTORY INTO dirtab2 FROM DATABASE vari(va) ID st_key.
    DATA: tmp_var(100)   TYPE c.
This works - P_BWTAR is a parameter from the selection screen registred in VARI
I'm getting the content of the field in tmp_var
    IMPORT p_bwtar TO tmp_var FROM DATABASE vari(va) ID st_key.
This does not work - the parameter P_BWTAR is in the dirtab2-name
    I'm not getting the content
    LOOP AT dirtab2.
        IMPORT dirtab2-name FROM DATABASE vari(va) ID st_key.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
I have tried the syntax IMPORT (dirtab2-name) ........
but this fails the syntax check.
Please - if you have any suggestions  :o)

  • Number of characters in a dynamic form/list/mysql table

    Hi all,
I mentioned this in a previous post but wanted to give it a home of it's own.  I have a dynamic list, updated and edited by a dynamic form.  However, with one of the columns I can only fit about 50% / 4 lines of text in.  I am unsure whether the problem lies in the Form, when ebtering the text - or the List when displaying it.  (I presume it will not be connected to the Mysql table itself...?)
When I enter the info into the Update Form, the text area accepts all the characters.  However, when I hit update and am returned to the list only about half show.  Also, if I then return to the form to update again - only about half are shown in the Update Form - the sentence is simply cut off about half way.  This leads me to believe that it is a problem with the Update Form rather than the List - but hey, if I had the answers I wouldn't be here.
Jpg attached to try an explain my rabid ramblings...

    Hi Nathan,

let´s make a bet, OK ? My bet is that the corressponding database column which stores the textarea value is "varchar" and has been set to accept a max. value of approx. 100 chars, correct ?

  • Creating a Dynamic Property LIst

    Hi everyone,
How to make a dynamic Property list in lingo
Actually the problem is I am fetching a list of Columns from
the databse which may vary so I want to make a dynamic PropertyList
in which I can Set the property and the values based on the number
    of colums in a Database
For Example: In the DB, I have a Table which contains
    follwing columns
    FName, LName,CompName, Age, Address1, Address2, Email,
    website
Now I will select specific colums based on some condition. So
I will be storing the result which would come in a property list.
So this List needs to be Dynamic i.e it should be getting created
based on the colums returned from the query.
Suppose for a specific condition i get Fname, Lname, Email as
a result so my List should look some thing like This
objRecord = objResult.rows[1] --Row Returned from the
    Database
    listQueryResult = [#FirstName : objRecord[1], #LastName :
    objRecord[2], #Email : objRecord[3] ]
The Above List shoud be based on nos of colums returned from
    the Query
Is there any way by which i can create such a Dynamic
    Property List.
I hope the Question is Clear
Hope to get the answer at the earliest
    -Thanks and Regards
    -Atul Saxena

You can create a new empty property list like this:
    listQueryResult = [:]
To add a property/value pair, you can use:
    listQueryResult[
    <propertyName>
    ] =
    <value>
    or:
    listQueryResult.setaProp(
    <propertyName>
    <value>
The above two commands will add the property if it doesn't
exist, or update a value if the property name is already present in
    the list.
You may not be aware that you can use strings as property
names instead of symbols if you like, which you might find easier.
Couple of examples following your example:
    listQueryResult = [:]
objRecord = objResult.rows[1] --Row Returned from the
    Database
    listQueryResult["FName"] = objRecord[1]
    listQueryResult["LName"] = objRecord[2]
    (etc)
Or, if you also have a list of the fieldnames returned from
    the db:
    listQueryResult = [:]
fieldNames = objResult.fieldNames --Field names for records
    returned from Database
objRecord = objResult.rows[1] --Row Returned from the
    Database
    repeat with n=1 to fieldNames.count
    thisFieldName = fieldNames[n]
    thisFieldValue = objRecord[n]
    listQueryResult[thisFieldName] = thisFieldValue
    end repeat
    hope this helps!

  • SMTP server list empty

    Hello all,
After the latest update (10.10.3 Supplemental Update) and restart, the SMTP server list from my Mail is completely empty.  Is there any way to get this back without having to reconfigure all my accounts?
    Thanks in advance,
    Nishita.
