Pouch with clip for Iphone with Agent 18 Case

I have tried many cases and found that I like the Agent 18 Clear case the best because it does not add bulk to the phone and still shows the great design of the phone. However, I was wondering if anyone knows of any pouch with a clip that the Agent 18 would fit into. I tried the Sena case and it was way too tight. Thanks.

I have the Agent 18 in black and love it. I bought a little ipod "pouch" made by Case Logic ---it fits perfect and it's very cushioned in case of a drop. They come in several colors for about 8 bucks. The only thing is it has a caribiner type clip as opposed to a belt clip. I just hook it on a belt loop or whatever works.

Cannot Import Video made with iMovie for iPhone/iPod Touch

I edited a video on my iPod touch using Apple's iMovie. The resulting .MOV file that iMovie creates will not import into iPhoto '11. While iMovie recognises the file just fine, iPhoto believes it is an unsupported file type. It's a .MOV for goodness sakes created with Apple's own hardware and program! Very strange. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Hey there. In answer to your question, all other clips that appear in my camera roll are easily seen by iPhoto. It is only those movies that I have created with iMovie for iPhone that iPhoto does not recognize. It's really strange, considering the fact that it's just a .MOV file. As a result, I've had to download a program called 'DiskAid' that allows me to transfer the .MOV file directly to my computer from the iPod Touch.
In answer to your question regarding whether or not iMovie for iPhone was worth downloading, I would have to say yes (assuming of course the import-to-iPhoto problem gets fixed). It's not a perfect program. My biggest complaint is that you have to import clips ONE at a time. There's no 'import all' option. This is really time consuming as you have to cycle through all the videos on your iPod or iPhone and manually tap each one and repeat. My dad likes to take a lot of 1-minute videos that then have to get spliced together and that can be really tedious with how this iMovie is currently set up. However, if you regularly think to add your clips to an existing project as you go along, things should be fine. It could do with a few more features and faster rendering times, but on the whole, it's a decent program. I have a feeling, though, that it was designed more for the YouTube generation who want to upload a five-minute video instead of people like my father and I who like to edit an hour or so and then eventually burn to a DVD. iMovie for the Mac still CERTAINLY has it's place.

Hyperlinks with Keynote for iPhone/iPod Touch

Hello, everyone. I bought Keynote hoping to use it to make classroom presentations with my iPod Touch, Apple's VGA adapter cord, and a projector. Although Keynote presentations show up through the projector through the VGA cord, it is not possible in Keynote's full-screen mode to activate any of the presentation's hyperlinks. On the iPod Touch alone (w/o VGA cord), a double-tap on a hyperlink opens it up in Safari. But this is of little use because A) without VGA adapter, no public presentation at all, and B) Safari on iOS is not (yet) compatible with the VGA adapter anyway.
Does anyone know of a way around this problem? Or how to lobby Apple to modify Keynote to allow for easy hyperlink triggers within a presentation, and to modify Safari to be compatible with the VGA adapter (or allowing the user to set an adapter-friendly browser as the default one for hyperlinks in Keynote)?

There are document which have not been adapted for mobile devices. In that case, use Adobe Acrobat or Reader on a Mac or Windows computer. Note: Reader 2 was released in the 1990s so this form may be a very old one.

Here’s the story: We learned a while back that iPhone 3G doesn’t support charging “via FireWire.” The thing is, there are lots of devices out there that don’t actually have a FireWire port, but are technically FireWire chargers because they’re sending power on the dock-connector pins that were used for power by the FireWire interface. There are a lot of reasons for this, chief among them the fact that the FireWire spec allows as much a 18 volts, while USB is a 5-volt connection. Since cars provide 12 volts of power, many if not most car-chargers used the FireWire method to send power.
However, in the interests of space and simplicity (i.e., not having to engineer for two separate power paths), Apple has dropped support for FireWire charging with the iPhone 3G. This means that many accessories won’t charge an iPhone 3G. Borchers said that Apple gave accessory developers a strong hint that this was going to happen a while ago, but he said that some companies have continued to implement FireWire-based chargers despite the warning.

Belt pouch which is a snug fit for iPhone with the bumper on?

I'm looking for a belt pouch which is exactly the right size for an iPhone with the Apple bumper on. A snug fit would be preferable because it works better when silent mode is on.
Probably a better question is - is there another phone which is the same size as an iPhone with the bumper on? Then I can look at cases designed for that phone.

I don't know if this is the type you're looking for, but an iPhone 4 with a bumper should fit well in a MOBO horizontal slim case.

BTW, I bought mine at an AT&T store, but Amazon has them for a lot cheaper. I had a soft plastic case with a back and it fit snugly in the MOBO. I am now using the free acrylic case with a back, because it is easier to out of the MOBO (smoother action).

Case w/ belt clip for iphone 4

I like the case like the Otterbox but need a belt clip. Anyone know of any like that?

Does anybody know of a leather flip case with a belt clip? The Otterbox is nice, but it still leaves the screen facing everyone when it's on the belt; I'd rather cover it, if only for privacy reasons.
I'm using Proporta's Aluminium Lined Leather case with my 3G, but their iPhone 4 version (http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?tid=5140&tmode=des) omits the clip for some bizarre reason.
At this rate I might see if simply putting a bumper on my phone will let it fit the existing case, though I'll have to cut a bit out of the back if I want to use the flash, of course

Downside of developing for iphone with AIR?

I've developed a few games with flash and have wanted to try my hand at some mobile apps. Most of my games are point and clicks and since I already know AS3, AIR seems to be a pretty good option.
I've asked about Android- which I plan on targeting first- and it appears a major downside is that many AIR apps woud require additional software on older phones and that the required software is a bit of a space hog.
What are the downsides for developing for iphone? Does IOS require special software to play AIR apps? Do they run particularly slowly on the iphone?

Whether Flash would be the best tool might depend a lot on whether you know Flash, what kind of game you're doing, and whether all of the features you need to do can be done. For example, if having Game Center and iAds is vital, then you wouldn't want to use Flash for the time being.
Flash based apps on iOS do include the AIR runtime engine, but it isn't an external engine that gets installed once into the system, each app would have a copy of the engine. That's good, in that you don't have to worry whether someone installing a later app might cause your app to stop working. It does mean that each app is a few megabytes bigger download than the Android equivalent.
On Android, the when a user downloads an AIR based app for the first time, they automatically get given the AIR runtime too. After that, any AIR apps that use the runtime that is already on the device only has to download the app itself, unless the app requires a later version of AIR, in which case the user is prompted to download the later version of AIR. It's not too painful a process.
People have requested that the AIR runtime be part of the APK, and I think that will be done one day, but not in the near future.

I did the config on the CUCM for my iphone so now jabber on my iphone is connected succesfuly to the CUCM and everythings works well except desk phone intergration, I followed the process below descripted on the Cisco site but cannot understand the step below (underlined)

Step 1
Sign in to the Unified CM Administration portal.
Step 2
Navigate to the device page.
•a. In the Device Information section, click Device Association and search for the desk phone you want to associate with the mobile device.
(here my question is which device they are talking about? We have device profile for each user and we have mobility on our company and we can connect to any phone on our company with our profile, and in our CUCM I cannot find Device information or Device Association field??
•b. Select the device you want to associate with the mobile device, and click Save Selected/Changes.
•c. Navigate back to the End User page.
•d. Ensure that the Allow Control of Device from CTI check box is checked.
•e. Select the primary extension for the desk phone you want to associate with the mobile device.
•f. In the Permissions Information section, add Standard CTI Enabled to the User Groups list.
For 8900 and 9900 series phones, also add Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Connected Xfer and conf.
•g. Note the user ID of this user for use later in this procedure.

Navigate to the Directory Number Information page and verify:
the Allow Control of Device from CTI check box is checked
the Associated Devices box displays the desk phone and the mobile device

Restart the mobile device and the desk phone.

By 'Use Mobile Network' I am assuming that you want to transfer the VoIP call to GSM using the Mobility Softkey on the iPhone. There are a couple of defects that you should be aware of when using this functionality:
1) CSCtu15500 - Call drop after user handoff VoIP call to mobile using Anyconnect (VPN)
2) CSCty91386 - Client can't handle send-to-mobile message
Workarounds: For the first defect, if you are using AnyConnect (VPN), please try transfer to mobile, with out using VPN. The the second defect, you must use the US English as the User Locale.

I can't get me Ipod on my Iphone4 to play, it will until an error comes up saying this device is not optimised for iphone, with nothing plugged into it.

My Ipod on my Iphone wont play and I have no volume bar. I can hear when the phone rings and I can hear people talking when they call, it seems to be a software promlem that I dont know how to fix. I have been having this problem and I have realized that when the error comes that this accessory is not optimised for iphone, my Ipod wont work. I have never had the air play button and my software is the current editon.

Adding on music for iphone with a new computer

I'm sorry for this for being a noob question, but my old computer with itunes which synced with my iphone has died - so is there ANY way I can edit all song information without having to reformat/resync with a new computer?

You don't maintain a backup copy? This is one of the many reasons that always maintaining backup is basic.
If for some reason you did not backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
You can backup your iphone ( does not include apps/music/vids/etc) to your new computer, see this article for clarification:

If you enter at least one unique contact/calendar entry into your computer, then you should get the option to merge the data when you first sync.
It is very important to always maintain a backup copy of all important info, as computer/hard drives do not always announce their pending failure.

Problems with GB for iPhone?

Hello. I purchased GB for iPhone and despite the Appple spin telling me how great it was, I cannot see anywheer on the very small interface that allows me to hear my guitar plugged into the iPhone in GB. I have been playing GB on my iMac for the past 6 months without problems and was very keen to have a mobile app to take away on holidays but so far this seems useless. I cannot even find what the Help page is referring ot on the main screen.

I have just bought a 1st gen iPhone and had real real real trouble setting it up to pick up my BT mail. I copied all the details straight off of my Mac Pro Mail account and all i got was the spinning wheel telling me it was connecting. However i went through the settings enabled Push, and set it to 15 miinute intervals then opened up mail and just left it alone. If that does not always work i turn the phone off and back on again and hey presto. The only other thing i am finding is that with Wi-Fi on when at home the settings seem to get confused and my Mac Pro mail app gives me a "no connection" alert, but that might be to a sync problem. I am sure i will work it all out eventually

Cradle for iPhone with protection?

Purchased an iphone cradle to charge and sync my iphone, but it doesn't fit with the protective casing I have.
Wondering if there are any cradles out there designed to fit iPhones with these cases. Can't seem to find one.

Since each case has different dimensions, that would depend on the specific case, don't you think? (Any reason why you're keeping the case model a secret?)
Some cases like various SwitchEasy models come with an adapter to use in the Apple Universal Dock. Some cases have a removable lower section so that you can use the standard dock.

Problems With FaceBook For IPhone App

am having problems with the FaceBook for IPhone app. I can only comment in the notifications or newsfeed tabs, and the comment buttons don't work when I attempt to comment directly on a friend's status. The app also has repeatedly crashed. The latest mess is that I'm not even able to view my profile, messages, etc. Uninstalling and reinstalling seems to be only a temporary fix. I have complained to the developers to no avail with each update. I'm running IOS 4.3.3 and My IPhone model is AT&T service 32GB black. I'm using Voice Over.

Have you tried deleting and re-installing the app?
