Pourquoi Apple a une assistance aussi pourri

PPourquoi Apple a une assistance aussi pourri?

What is your question. Why do say they have decayed assistance? This is a user to user support forum, not manned by Apple. You type out your question in as much detail as possible, what you have done to try and fix the problem, and then wait for someone to answer.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
If your iMac is only 9 months old, it probably comes with OS X Mountain Lion, and it includes AirPrint, so you do not need to purchase anything else apart from the printer (which is compatible with AirPrint).
Once you have purchased the printer, you need to follow the steps of the manufacturer. To add the printer to OS X, see > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4670

  • Creative Cloud Issue After Using Apple's Migration Assistant

I bought a new Mac and used Apple's Migration assistant to transfer everything from the old Mac to the new. Everything works with all apps except Creative Cloud. Creative Cloud states that some files are missing and prompts me to download and install Creative Cloud again. I do that and run the App. The app runs for a minute, acts like it's installing than I get the same error -- Creative Cloud is missing some files or some files are corrupt, please download and reinstall -- it brings me to the webpage to download it again. I'm stuck in this infinite loop!
The old Mac where Creative Cloud runs fine is a 15" Retina Display MacBook Pro. The new Mac is a 27" iMac.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Apple Online Service Assistant

I recently used Apple's Online Service Assistant to order a replacement for my old headphones that came with my iPod (they were falling apart cosmetically). I received my replacement, and Apple received my old defective earphones. But Apple charged me $29. Why? It did not show $29 on any of the receipts I received. The way I understood it was, Apple would charge me $29 ONLY IF I did not return the defective product to Apple within 10 business days. But I returned the defective product well within 10 business days. Yet I was still charged $29, according to my recent credit card statement. If this was supposed to happen, I did not read anything that said Apple would charge me $29 even if I returned the product. The product was under Apple's Standard One Year Limited Warranty. Please explain to me how the Online Service Assistant really works, and if all this was supposed to happen.

Thanks alot for the help, guys.
Turns out Dave was right, I gave them a call last night and they agreed to send the replacement free of charge, as it was still under warranty. Preauthorization on the credit card is required not to cover for the cost of the call though, but as a guarantee that you're going to send back the faulty item as proof that it's malfunctioned. The preauth should drop off the card, once they receive the returned item and verify it's not working properly.
I wouldn't think Rogers or Fido would have anything to do with technical maintenance of the iPhone. After all, they are only the service providers for your phone plan, but should not be able to provide wide range of tech support for all the phones they offer. Such issues would generally be redirected to the manufacturer of the phone.
    Case closed. (-;

  • Apple Works 6 Assistants (Address labels)

    Hi
I would like to use the address labels Assistant referred to in the AppleWorks help file but when I open Assistants there are only 4 options listed - not including address labels. When I spoke to Apple Support the person there could only find the 4 options on his machine and suggested that I make a data base file from scratch and take it from there. No doubt that would work but I thought the Assistant was meant to make it easier and should in any case be there?
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Sony Vaio VGNA-115B   Windows XP

    Hi Hasty,
Labels in AppleWorks are made from within the Database module. The Labels Assistant does not appear in Starting Points, but is activated by the New Labels Layout menu item in the Layout menu, which is visible when you have a DB document open.
If you are making labels for outgoing mail (ie. if the name and address are different on each label) you will need a database that contains the names and addresses to appear on each label.
If you are making return address labels (ie. every label will have the same name and address) you will still need a database document, with as many records as there are labels on the page you are using, but the DB needs only a single field, and the field does not have to contain any data.
You'll find a full set of instructions in Sharon Joiner's post in the User Tips library here:

  • Is it possible to skip Apple Mail setup assistant?

I've deployed Office 2011 to my compay's Mac users. However, after configuring Outlook, the default reader remains Apple Mail. Now, I know that you can change this setting in Mail's preferences and I'm currently doing so. My issue is that I've removed any and all email accounts from my Users' Apple Mail, meaning I have to deal with the Apple Mail setup assitant and create a bogus email account just to access Mail's preferences to change the default reader and pushing cancel in setup quits mail. Is there away to start Apple Mail without having to go through the setup assistant?

    Bill Carter,
Also it would be so nice to have all the formatting and compositional tools in a toolbar just about the composition window, as in Entourage or Thunderbird.
If you have not already done so, in a New Message window, go to View Menu > Customize Toolbar. Some items can be added to the default set.
I have no experience with the toolbars available in Entourage or Thunderbird. If you would like to suggest additional toolbar items for Mail, you could submit feedback to Apple at this link:

  • HT5330 I'm confused. Apple support person assisted me making move to Cloud, without Lion. But I never changed Mail acct settings.

I'm confused. I am in Snow Leopard and have had a .Mac (.me) address for years. I made the move to Cloud, without Lion. Had an Apple support person on the phone to assist since I wanted to be sure about not losing my email address. Got an email from Apple confirming. It says "Your mail will be moved to iCloud after June 30th. You can continue to send and receive mail at your [email protected] address after MobileMe ends on June 30, 2012."
But I never changed any Mail accountt settings. When I look at my Mail preferences-account info, it says Account Type: MobileMe IMAP, but Incoming server is still mail.me.com and Outgoing drop down shows Mail-mobile me.

Yes, shortly before the switch over on June 30, apple announced that the mail settings for the old MobileMe account would continue to work after the switch over.
Some people have found that this has not been the case and have addressed the situation by manually setting up their mail settings as follows:
Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.
Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.

  • Stolen iPod - Apple Unable To Assist?

Less than a year ago i purchased an iPod Photo and it was recently stolen. After reading the postings on this site and contacting Apple, I have been informed that I can file a Police Report. (Im sure it will be on their top priority list! (Im sure there is a large discusison at my local police station - look for the stolen iPod or find that stolen car?)
It is inconceivable to me that nothing can be done to assist in locating it. I am a registered user of Apple.Com, iTunes, and my iPod is/was registered... Even to be able to say that someone is attempting to update an ipod on a system that you are not registered to... Why do we register? What's the point?
Im so frustrated that I now only have part of the music on iTunes available to me (and nothing to play it on except my home pc) and that my iPod is gone and Apple 'cant' assist in locating it, that I dont think I will purchase a new iPod, nor will I suggest anyone else purchase one.
Sorry for the multiple posts, its obviously been one of those days.
      Windows XP

Any appliance can be removed from its original purchaser and used by those that control it. A car or boat has identifying marks on it that helps track it (or even parts use).
A music device is stolen to play the music. I come from the ancient eight track cassette school of logic.
People broke into cars to steal the appliance. To steal an iPod is assault (not treated in the same manner by the police as B&E crimes).
But a part of this equation is being ignored. The price of digitally recorded music.
Stealing something that is "invisible" (the music, or worse, data that was on your iPod) makes crime in the twenty-first century a new level of crime.
Please don't take any offense to my comments.
You lost a "toaster". An appliance. A device that allows audio playback.
It would be worse, I think, if a burglar broke into your home (or car) and stole your CD collection. The contents of your iPod should be replaceable via a simple back-up.
It would be just as impossible for any computer manufacturer to protect the data on a stolen computer.
Just like a stolen wallet or purse. It may be the contents that the criminals really want.
In order to use a stolen TV the thief must plug it in. The device doesn't know it's stolen and the TV stations just send a signal.
But, your stolen iPod is a self contained playback device. Just like the money in your wallet.
A thief usually keeps just the contents and disposes of the "evidence" of the crime.
Feel good in knowing that your purchased music will not be available until the new "user" authorizes the playback device.

  • Apple TV - Startup Assistance

I just ordered Apple TV having just recently crossed over from the darkside (pc's).  Is there a site on how to setup and use Apple TV with all Mac devices.  Thank you.

Take a look at the Set Up Guide.

  • Looking at using apple TV to assist with photo editing on my MB Pro, is this a good idea?

I have a mac book pro 13 (2011) I am looking at using the Apple TV to display my MBP to my TV for photo editing, anyone able to let me know if they either have done this before, good or bad, or if you think it would work if you have not tried it yourself. Will also be using it for TV etc not just editing.
    Thank you in advance.
Currently have Lightroom 5 and PS CC for editing etc.

So you plan to mirror the MBP's display via the Apple TV to your TV and edit off that image?
Right off the bat I can see problems with color calibration between the MBP's display and the TV.  I edit in Aperture and while the images when displayed on my TV vi Apple TV look ok they are not exactly the same as they appear on the iMac.
So I guess it depends on what you plan to do with the images once you have edited them. Is there any printing involved? That brings in another whole layer of complexity.
For sharing on the web and with family and friends it should be Ok, for anything more professional you'll need to get everything calibrated.
    regards
