I got the new iPad on June 2012 and I wish to keep the long life of the battery as much as I can. I always and only use the cable that comes with the product and never charge it through computer.
Should I:
1) wait till baterry is completely empty, pratectly dead and then charge it?
2) charge it when it reach 5%-10%.
3) turn off the iPad when I charge the battery?

Battery of new iPad3 updated with iOS6 takes longer to charge
My new iPad3 whose battery was alright when it was running on iOS5. But when I updated the OS to 6, it started taking much longer time to recharge. Is there any suggestion on this issue? Thanks in advance.

Should I let the battery run down before charging my iPad or iPhone or iPod Nano to help the battery last longer? I took a class at Verizon and they said let it drain completely and it would last longer. Thanks

Charging an iPad Air in the US via a plug adapter
Hello everyone,
I have a question about charging my European-bought iPad Air in the US.
I am using the original iPad Cable and a socket adapter from SKROOS to charge my iPad and I've noticed that it takes much longer to charge the device compared to Europe. To illustrate I left it completely discharge and then plugged it in in airplane mode and after 4 hours the battery is only 50% full. I do not have another cable to try charging it with, but I've tried two different sockets (at home and at work) and in both cases it takes longer than usual. Hence, I was wondering if taking longer to charge is normal given that I'm using a socket adapter.
Any advice on how to improve the battery charging? Would it be OK if I bought a US charger from Apple? From what I understand my EU-device should hadle the voltage?!

RobertAll Apple chargers work from 100-240VAC, 50-60Hz power. All you will need is a plug adapter for the country you are in.

Using US power vs European power shouldn't make a difference.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Well my ipad mini isn't charging.. I with the original charger it didn't show the charging sign when plugged in.. And I bought a new one a 12:00 one from bath bed and beyond. Now it ain't charging again even thought it did a few days ago.. Now I don't know what to do.. I don't wanna keep buying chargers..
Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
