POVs are not showing up properly in FR
Our User Community are facing an issue with POVs selections in FR through workspace. Some of the users can see/get the option of selecting 7 Dimensions in the User POV's prompt while some users are seeing only either 4 or 5 dimensions in the POV's propmts. I gave the temperory access to FR studio to one of the user to reset his user POV's settings and now that user can see/has the option to select all the required dims in the user POVs', but we cannot give temp. access to all of our user community in FR studio. There should be some global option which should do the trick. Can some body please help me and guide me in the right direction.

The users who are only seeing a subset of dimensions in the Preview User POV Dialog is due to their POV being corrupt.
To fix this use the ManageUserPOV.cmd utility found where you Financial Reporting Studio client is installed, usually C:\Hyperion\BIPlus\bin. This works in DOS so use it in a new command window.
You can use this utility to export a known "good" user's POV to an xml file. Once you have a good POV you can change the userid in the exported xml file and use that as an import xml file to update any users with the corrupt user POV. If you know you way around xml then you can bulk import user POVs to fix all your corrupted user POVs.
The utility uses the export and import properties defined in the ManageUserPov.properties file, where you can also specify a user id, datasource connection, import and export xml file name etc, to explicitly import and export the User POV for.
The general DOS commands to use ManageUserPOV are (assuming you are in C:\Hyperion\BIPlus\bin):
Exporting User POVs: manageuserpov export manageuserpov.properties
Importing User POVs: manageuserpov import manageuserpov.properties

Installed iTunes 10.5.1, now my desktop icons are not showing up properly
The icons that are effected are the taskbar icons at the bottom of the desktop. I use thes to open my programs. When I open itunes the icons will then show properly, but when I close iTunes they again look translucent and are hard to see.This has to be a bug in the iTunes 10.5.1 update. All other previous versions worked fine.
LOL!!! I had checked iTunes before writing this and the music was not there. I check after writing and now it has shown up. It took iTunes about 12 hours to do it though.
Last week, the music I purchased showed up immediately.
I guess iTunes is just not working as effeciently as it did last week. Could still be a bug or maybe just swamped servers? However, the problem that is most annoying to me right now is that all the music I have downloaded since iTunes 10.5 has contained defective tracks that needed to be redownloaded. I do not recall that ever occuring before. -
Here's an example. The Irish word "Lúnasa" is showing up as "L�nasa" when I post it in places such as Yahoo! Groups. This does not happen with my old IE browser. Thanks for any help!
No, the first "Lúnasa" looks correct. The second one is how it appears after posting it to a Yahoo! Group. It's odd, because when I view the same post in the Yahoo! Group via IE8, it looks fine. Just to fill out the details, I wrote the original "Lúnasa" in MS Word, then copied and pasted it into my Yahoo post. Needless to say, I am confused!

ScrollBars not showing up properly
I am displaying a JTree in a JScrollPane with default settings ie. both horizontal and vertical scroll bars will show up when the contents can not fit in to the scroll pane.In this case when i expand the tree nodes the scroll bars are not showing up properly.It looks like the foreground is not painted properly.The background color is white here.We are using custom look and feel, not the standard one. Any idea why it is so?

How do I fix a problem with .eps files not showing up properly in icon view
Actually my .eps files are not showing properly in any of the views but icon view is most important to me. I am using OSX.8.5 on a mac mini and mac book air. Almost all of my .eps files are conversions of .wmf files converted to .eps by WMF Converter software. All of these files used to be on a PC running windows Vista using ST Thumbnails explorer to be able to view thumbnails. For background info: I had to use a program to view the WMF files becasue hackers could put viruses into the thumbnail for WMF fies so instead of fixing the problem Microsoft disabled the thumbnail view for all WMF files.
A few of my .eps files are conversions of files created in CorelDraw 3x and converted to .eps in CorelDraw 3x. Both types of .eps files misbehave the same.
I downloaded one .eps file today from the internet to see if it would misbehave the same way (it does).
Here is the problem: After a reboot when I first view a folder that contains .eps files in icon view I can see the file contents fine. If I use the resize slider at the bottom of the window or resize the window itself then some or all of my .eps files revert to displaying the "generic icon" of a Loupe with a picture behind it. If i can manage to put the resize slider to exactly where it was then my icons display the file contents as they did before I messed with the slider. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when an icon will display as the file contents or when the generic icon comes up. In some folders all the icons display correctly at the smallest icon size and in other folders the icons may display correctly or as only generic or a mix of generic and file contents. Icons to files that came from the same source will not necessarily display the same way. Icons to files that came from the same source and were converted by WMF Converter at the same minute do not necessarily display the same way. If I display "info" for the files sometimes the previev pane of the info box will display the generic icon or sometimes it will show the file contents. If I take an .eps icon that displays properly and drop it into a folder where all .eps icons are displayed as generic then that icon displays generic. When I move that same icon out of that folder then it will display properly. Icon view, list view, column view and cover flow view all display differently with no discernable pattern. Sometimes I can see file contents in column view and not icon view. Sometimes in cover flow and not in icon view. It makes no difference if I have a handful of .eps files in a folder or hundereds of files in a folder. After an undetermined amount of time the icons might display properly again or maybe not.
What I have done so far: exhaustive search of the internet did not find anyone else with the same issue. I checked and fixed all disk permission errors that disk utilities would fix. I know that icon view and quick look are two different things, but, I did however, download and install an eps quicklook plugin that did not seem to make a difference for my issue. BTW Quick look sometimes works and sometimes not (no discernable pattern to this behavior either). I tried the cnet download fix for quicklook just for grins. It had me force QL to reload plugins and it's cache then I cleared out the QL configuration files. This did not seem to make a difference in the behavior of icon view or Quicklook. The only two things I have found to be consistant are 1) The "open with preview" always works but I know this is different because this preview actually generates a pdf view of the file. 2) When the icon does display the file contents it always displays correctly.
When you read this please be mindful of: I am a Microsoft refugee not yet familiar with the Apple world so you may have to tell me how to do "simple" things. I have no idea what is the difference between a "thumbnail" or a "preview" or the behind the scenes way that apple generates the icon appearance for the 4 different views.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I tried to insert a screen shot but got an error message when I did it.Was the error number really 0XE8....

Suddenly, events entered in Calendar on iPhone are not showing up in iCal or iCloud
Until late November, i had an iPhone 4s with iOS 5. Then i got an iPhone 6 with iOS 8. As previously, when i would enter an event in the Calendar, that data would also show up in my iCal calendar and on my iCloud calendar, until the last couple of days. Now, new entries are not showing up on iCal or iCloud. I encountered the problem that my iPhone, 64G, is being backed up to the iCloud and after two backups, taking up 2.4G each, my 5G of iCloud storage was used up. I speculated that this was why my phone data stopped syncing to the other calendars on the computer and cloud, though i did not know for sure. I deleted one of the two back ups and am about to delete the other one. I have never had this problem of running out of iCloud storage on my other phone. According to Settings>iCloud>Storage, i had 89MB. But since i have deleted one of the 2.4G backups (which was "incomplete") my new entries are still not showing up in iCal and on the iCloud.
Is there a way to get this feature to work again?

I have wasted so much time on this. I was on hold with Apple support for a long time and then had a call with a rep that lasted over an hour but he didn't know anything about issues of these kinds. i was put on hold a lot while he consulted. He did agree that the data wasn't syncing from iPhone to iCloud and iCal because the iCloud storage was used up by the iPhone back ups. So he advised deleting one of them. I now have 2.4G of storage on iCloud. Am i wrong to think that should be enough? I still ave the original complete back up (2.4g) undeleted, in case there some reason that i need it. i don't like deleting things i don't have a good understanding of.
Following your instructions, i went to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars. I then scrolled down to Calendars and at the bottom, i see where it says Default Calendar. This raised new questions for me which i will ask you/others now:
On the Default Calendar page, there is a heading that says iCloud and there is a second heading that says my gmail email address, [email protected]. Under the iCloud heading, there is a list of 8 "calendars," called Work, Family, Pets, Home, etc. Under the gmail address heading, there is only one option listed, which is my gmail username. When i went to the Default Calendar option, as i think you suggested if i understood you right, i found that the Calendar with the checkmark next to it was the gmail user name, under the gmail address heading. Presumably, this is the same setting i had on my 4s with iOS 5.
I wanted to follow your instruction to change this to iCloud as Default Calendar. but the only option i have is to choose only one of those 8 "calendars," either Work, or Pets, or Home, etc. Does this make sense? The only reason i know for having these many different calendars was to give different colors to the different event categories. I didn't really want them to be separate calendars. i just wanted to use the color coding for type of event in my overall calendar.
I don't know why this is suddenly so complicated and confusing, after working fine for the first two or three weeks i've had the new iPhone. Suddenly, when i enter events in Calendar, it's not reaching the cloud. If this is because my gmail and/or google user name was checked as the default calendar, that was not a setting i would've recently changed. I never would have set my iPhone to only use one of the iCloud sub-calendars at my default calendars.
But right now, per your instructions, i have checked Settings>Mail.Contacts,Calendars>Calendars>Default Calendar to iCloud>Home (Home being one of my 8 sub-calendars). When i look on the Mail,Contacts,Calendars setting list, under Default calendar, it now says Home, instead of my gmail username. Just to be clear, there is no way to check iCloud on the Default Calendar page. i have tried checking it, but it's just a somewhat grayed out heading and doesn't respond to attempts to check it, it's not offered as a Calendar option. Only the various sub-calendars are offered a default calendar options, under the grayed out iCloud heading. So, i selected Home, for no particular reason. i have lots of entries under different categories.
Here is the result: still no new entries showed up in iCloud or iCal. In January, a couple of days ago, i entered three dental appointments, for which i have always used Health as what i thought was a category (not a separate "calendar"). The color of Health events is green. The color of Home events is Blue. After changing the Default Calendar from gmail email address>user name to iCloud>Home (blue), the dental appointment in January did not show up. But when i went into the first dental appointment event>edit and changed the "calendar" to Home, it then showed up on the calendar. The other two dental appointments which were still Health did not show up.
Then, i changed the first dental appointment that is showing up in January back to Health (green). It still shows up, now, colored green, even though Home/blue is now my default calendar. But the two other dental appointments are not showing up.
Does this mean if want to use my Calendar and have the data backed up in iCloud and iCal, from now on, i need to use only one sub calendar and give up using the different color codes because iOS 8 is forcing me to choose only one sub calendar to be my whole calendar, and the only way to use different colors for different categories of events would be to first enter it as the default sub calendar (such as dental appointment>Home), and then go back and edit it into the correct sub calendar (such as changing it to the correct category, Health) to show the correct one instead of the "default" one?
Why was this made so much more difficult and complicated than it used to be? It was working normally up until a couple of days ago.
What i need, if possible, is info on what setting i can use to go back to using my gmail address user name as my default calendar, so that it can just work properly as it did before. It seems ridiculous that i am forced by iCloud to use a sub category as my default calendar and everything that isn't entered as that subcategory will not be processed in iCloud. Why does iCloud provide these sub calendar category options at all, if it's going to force people to only be able to use one of them?
What am i missing here?

In iOS 7.0.2 All and Missed tabs are not showing call history correctly, I have iPhone 4 running iOS 7.0.2 version it looks like there is a bug. Missed call history and All calls (incoming, outgoing and missed) history is not showing properly in a list. Ideally when I click on missed it should show me recent missed call list and when I click on All it should show me (incoming, outgoing and missed) calls list sorted by current date and time.

I've just found that three movies I've bought from iTunes on on my iPad are not showing up on Apple TV or anywhere other than that iPad. What's up with that and will I lose these films if I reset this iPad?
Thanks. The reason this has become an issue is that I recently bought a new Macbook Air that the iPad is not synced to. The one is was synced to was stolen. If I want to sync this iPad to the new Air, won't it be wiped before I'm able to copy these films or am I wrong about that?

After migrating data from Time Machine, some of my photos are not showing up in iPhoto LIbrary view. I get a 'dashed rectangle." When I click on it I get ' ! in a Triangle" When I click on that, I actually can see the photo. I want to see all my photos in 'Library' view, and I can't figure out how these photos seem to be arbitrarily hidden. Help, please.

I have been trying to transfer some different movies from my PC to my IPad, but they are not showing in the "movie" folder. I have sync'd the movies (these are mp4 files) that I wanted transfered, but only one is showing in the folder. There are 13 other movies in the folder that have the ICloud symbol in the corner of their picture. I understand that I can pull those movies from ICloud any time I want to watch them, but I want to watch the ones that I've just sync'd with my IPad. How do I find them? After I checked the movies I wanted, I "applied" them and watched it sync and copy the wanted movies to my IPad. Now what? Thanks.
There are some good programs that you could use to convert the format, Handbrake or Mpegstreamclip are two good free ones. Convert them to MP4 and then try importing them again.

I purchased a bunch of songs on my iPhone but they are not showing up on it my computer.
I purchased a bunch of songs recently on my iPhone but they are not showing up in iTunes on my computer. They have always shown up in the past but these few haven't. I usually do a manual upload and backup of my phone, as opposed to doing it via icloud.
In the meantime, I went to the purchases for my account and see that they are listed there and I hit "report a problem". But it doesn't even ask me what the problem is....
Is there anything else I can do?Go to View->Account and verify you're logged into the same AppleID as the iPhone
Then go to iTunes->Preferences->Store and verify that "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases" is checked. -
I recently had to wipe out my phone and lost everything! I have been able to recover all apps, pics, songs. Lost alot of my contacts due to me not backing up my info to icloud more often. (my mistake) However, I cant find any of my purchased ringtones. They are not showing up in my purchase history on itunes either. I do have the receipts for all of them tho.
Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated!Ringtones are currently a one-time only download, they won't appear under the Purchased tab nor in the cloud. Have you got copies of them in the Tones section of your computer's iTunes library or in the backup of your downloads that you can use to re-sync them to your phone ? My smart playlists are not showing up on my iPhone after turning on Music Match
I have turned on Music Match (iOS 5 GM and iTunes 10.5 r 9) and can see all the songs in my library now across the cloud. The iPhone also has copied over most (but strangely not all) of my regular playlists and my folder structure.
But all the Smart Playlists I created for my iPhone are not showing up so my music is not grouped the way I want it to be.
For example, I have a playlist that selects out all the songs with three stars or more that have not been played in the last 2 weeks (so I only hear songs I like, but have not heard lately).
So what's up??Isn't iTunes 10.5 r 9 a beta release for developers? If that's the case then isn't there a special web site for developers to discuss issues (and they are not supposed to discuss them on the public forum)? If you're not a developer and have this through unofficial channels then I'm not sure you can expect full functionality.

After updating my iPhone4s to the lastest update my photostream stopped updated onto my comuter. From my phone it looks like pictures have been moved into the photostream folder... but they are not showing up on my computer. Help!
I have signed out then back into the cloud. I have comfirmed location of the photostream folder.
