Power accessories don't work on iPhone

Does anyone have external batteries like the powermonkey that they have been using with the iPod, and if so, have you found it to work with the iPhone?
The powermonkey (which I own) works fine with all iPods; it doesn't seem to charge the iPhone at all however even though the dock connector is exactly the same and fits in just fine.
Has anyone run into a similar problem? Cheers.

If they don't work then they will be replaced under your warranty unless you have caused damage to them.

Is your wireless set to "On" on the iphone? If so, try cutting the phone off and then back on.

Try restarting the iPad and seeing if that helps.
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.

How can I do a hard reset of iPhone 5 if iTunes and power buttons don't work?

My son's iPhone 5 will not go past the screen with the little blue iTunes logo up top and an image of the charger on bottom. I've tried syncing to iTunes to restore but receive an error message after it goes through updates. The error reads, "There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone "iPhone". The network connection was reset. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later." So then I try holding down the power and home buttons to get the Apple logo but then the initial screen comes backs (iTunes logo/image of charger). This phone is really not THAT old so there has to be a solution out there.

The error that you are seeing has to do with your Internet connection. Try disabling your anti-virus software and connect the iPhone again and try to restore. See this support document for help. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

Long story short, I made a call on the iPhone and arranged to meet an individual at a specific location and call them when I arrived there to complete rendezvous. I first received their email from my .mac email on my computer which I deleted after I talked to them on the phone.
When I arrived at the location I looked in my recent calls list and no numbers were there!
I called 611 and they said they couldn't give me my last dialed number over the phone because of Federal Law and told me I might be able to go to att.com/mywireless and login to view my account to retrieve the number.
I tired to register at att.com/mywireless from my iPhone but after inserting your number it goes to a profile page where you insert your information and the field where you insert your email address does not allow the @ character from the iPhone!!!
OK so I go to the .mac login page and log in to .mac Mail through Apple.com and I can see the email that I deleted off my computer (and iPhone) but I can not view the message because alas, you have to double click the email message in order to view it!!!
We all know what double-tapping on the iPhone does right class?
About an hour passed as I tried to go though this turmoil and during that time the person said they tried to call me 3 times! I was lucky enough that the last time they called they let the call go to voicemail and left a little sigh before hanging up which went to visual voicemail and I was able to get the number from there...
So yeah recent calls not being logged, not able to access content on manufacturer and providers sites, and missed calls which are still happening today (I haven't had my phone ring in days I just get voicemails that pop up + some outgoing calls are still not being logged).
But I guess I still love my iPhone
I went home afterwards and logged on to .mac Mail from my computer and could read the email by double-clicking it.

I think what diesel vdub is trying to say is that if your Apple headphones work and the third party ones don't then the third party ones are not compatible or are broken.
I would ask if they third party headphones ever worked with this phone before or not? If they have, then I would check for damage to the headphones or to the port where they plug in (some people have had issues with getting obstructions in the port preventing the headphones from plugging in fully).
You could try to make an appointment at an Apple Genius Bar or authorized service center, but since the Apple supplied headphones work they are likely to say teh same as diesel vdub, and that the problem is with the third party headphones.

Earpod controls don't work, new iPhone 5

My iPhone is four days old. I've used the earpods with it quite a bit but I'd never really tested the controls or noticed this before so I don't know if this is a new problem or a pre-existing one.
The problem:
The volume controls work but the center button only works when it wants to. Sometimes it'll stop or play a track, sometimes skip a track if I'm lucky but I've only got it to use Siri once (holding center button down). Something else I've noticed which I think is new or I wasn't paying attention before is that I hear a bit of static when switching between apps or moving to spotlight on the home screen, it's very mild and very short but it's there nonetheless, related perhaps?
Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated as I'm very upset about this.

Confirm that they are fully plugged into the headphone jack.
Try the headphones that came with the device to verify it's not simply an issue with the connection.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Old Accessories don't work.

So, I had an original iPhone. Paid full price for it. Then they dropped the price by $200. Bought a car integration kit for my MINI ($300 + installation), as well as a dock for my desk, etc. etc. Now I have the new iPhone and it won't work with any of the old accessories, despite the fact that it uses the same connector. What gives? Can anyone tell me the reason for this, and why it wasn't made explicitly clear when the 3G was advertised? It's a really annoying and expensive thing to be surprised with. Every iPod and the original iPhone have worked with the same universal connectors forever. Now 3G owners are suddenly screwed. I'm SOOOO not looking forward to tearing my car apart and spending hunderds of dollars more just to use my new phone.

Regarding having the same USB connection or connector is not everything.
The shape of the iPhone 3G is different than the shape of the first generation iPhone, so the dock included with the first generation iPhone has a shaped opening for the first generation iPhone which is different from the shape of the iPhone 3G. No dock is included with the iPhone 3G as was included with the first generation iPhone. I never used the dock included with the first generation iPhone and doubtful I'm the only one.
Regarding your car kit, did/does it include "made for iPhone" on the packaging and detailed specifications, etc.?
If not, you were lucky that it worked with your first generation iPhone since the connection or connector type is not everything in regards to compatibility.

Power button don't work

My MacAir's Power button has strange behavior It works when I try to switch ON my MacAir, but when I press it when computer works, i don't get dialog with Shoutdown/Sleep select options. Also it looks like my MacAir doesn't go to sleep mode when I close laptop. i think so because when I open it after it wakes up only by Power button all other buttons do not wake it up
Please, advise, should i carry it to service or i have to check any setup preferences...

The keyboard will often hold the liquid and protect the motherboard, unless it is a large spill. I certainly would try a different keyboard. It sounds like you got liquid into the grid below the keys. I would pull the keyboard first and see if there are signs that liquid got through.

Power injectors don't work with APs

Has someone got experience on cisco power injectors for Aironet APs.
I bought 3 injectors, and 3 power supplys(injectors need power supply, but don't come with the boxes) from cisco.
I connected a switch(2960) port to the port ‘to network’ on the power injector, and connected a AP(1142N) Ethernet port to the port ‘to Device’ on the power injector.
The power injector was powered on by the DC supply. But the AP couldn't be powered on by the injector, and the switch port also showed 'noconnect'.
No particular commands setup on the switch port’s settings. I tried the switch port auto-auto and 100-full, Vlan access and trunk, but no luck with the injectors.
Connected the same power supply to the same AP, used the same switch port and same cables, the AP worked fine with the switch.
Thought of faulty injector, but it's weird that all 3 new purchased injectors are faulty.
Am I doing anything wrong? do I need to put any commad on switch interface to use power injector?(I cannot believe that) or just had bad luck of having 3 faulty injectors?

3rd Party Ear Phones Don't Work With iPhone 4

V-Moda Vibe Duo Earbud Headset, I have two differnt sets and both Will Not work with the new iPhone 4.
It works with previous iPhones but not this one. You can hear but not be heard.
Any solutions?

I have the same issue with V Moda headphones as well. I tested them on two iPhone 4s, a 3GS and a 3G. The work on the 3G and the 3GS but not on either of the iPhone 4.
Throught the power of Google, I discovered the following:

Control keys of latest apple wireless keyboard don't work on iPhone 4

I just brought the latest apple wireless keyboard(2011) and I tried the control keys(briteness, music control, volume control) none of them worked on my iPhone 4(ios 4.3.5), but those shortcuts like: cmd+a, cmd+c...worked very well, I don't know what's wrong with this and I think those control keys are very useful, I'm planning to replace my old Lenovo laptop with my new accessory, who can give me a hand please!!! A number of folks have reported that the newest Apple BT keyboard, designed for use with Mac OS X Lion has this issue. Unfortunately the new KB has the same model number as the one for Snow Leopard. The way to tell them apart is the F4 key, on the Snow Leopard KB it has the Dashboard icon. I would try to find an Apple retailer with the Snow Leopard KB in stock and exchange your KB for one of them. The Snow Leopard KBs work great with the iPad, with all applicable function keys operating.
