Power adapter is not recharging...HEEEEEEEEEEELLLLP

i m still having problems whit my PA... it looks like is dead, it won't recharge the battery ... so i don't know what to do , is there anyone that has/had got the same problem , and how did u get it fixed?
any suggestion, should i "throw" my mac out of the window, or bring it to the local store , even though i ve bought it on the net?......
i ve got no idea....

Hi, Marco.
Odds are you will have to contact Apple about a replacement.
The possibilities include a failure in the wiring connections in the power adapter, or a stuck pin in the MagSafe connector that prevents proper connection when it's plugged into your MBP.
To check the latter possibility, read Apple's note on stuck pins at <http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303566>.
Of course, be certain to unplug the power brick from the wall socket if you try wiggling the pins.

So, with your power adaptor connected not only does the battery not charge but the powerbook is not running on ac power. Then I guess the power adaptor is faulty. In as much as you've verified this with a known good one a new one is in order. Try yours in another powerbook to make sure.

Genius told me that my power adapter was NOT covered under warranty. ?????

Not too happy with my Apple store as of late. First I bring in my defective iPhone power adapter for a replacement and was told I had to schedule an appointment with a "Genius". I guess it takes a genius to plug in a power adapter and see that it doesn't work. Of course the next available appointment was 2 days away. So....I leave, make an appointment, come back 2 days later and the Genius tells me that the power adapter is not covered under warranty. Is this correct???? This is crazy. He actually told me that I could just buy another one there for $29 or find one on Ebay.
I don't even really have much use for the power adapter, but I find it very hard to believe that it is not covered under the same 1 year warranty as the phone.
Is this true?

I have had to deal with the "genius bar" for 4 weekends straight now, with one more weekend to go. All to simply get my Apple iPhone bluetooth replaced. They gave me a refurbished one which was still broken, and they didnt know how to even use their own software to do the rma. So far my worst experience with a store in a very long time and I have no plans of doing business with Apple through one of their "genius bars" ever again. Heck, I had to show the so called iPhone genius how to pair the headset with the phone. Quite pathetic.

Recently, my power adapter has stopped working. I'm down to 33% battery power and no way to recharge! If I unplug the adapter and plug it directly into a wall outlet (grounded), it still does not work. No light on the adapter plug at all.
What's up here? How do I fix this? Please help!

If it won't switch on, and assuming that the battery isn't empty (and it can take up to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

My Macbook Pro power adapter is not working

I have had my MacBook Pro for less than 1 year and I only use it to get to Uni and back. I leave the adapter at home and unplug it when I'm not using it, but lately it has decided that it doesn't want to work and hence I cannot charge my laptop. Is there anything I can do other than spen $90 on a new charger?

If your computer is still under warranty, so is the power adapter. Make an appointment at an Apple store or call AppleCare.

Power adapter light not working

The other day the LED light was stuck on green, even when laptop was not fully charged and even when I pulled it out of the computer!
Now, the light doesn't come on at all and it doesn't seem to be charging the computer. The battery indicator on the screen is showing that it is connected, but when I unplug the power adapter, the battery is not charged.
I've tried blowing out any dust/debris, and making sure all of the prongs are properly functioning. Any other advice?

Stop by an Apple Store, if you can, and test using a different AC adapter. If that works, your adapter is faulty. If it doesn't, your computer probably is.

"No airport card is installed" when power adapter is not connected

I am getting the "No Airport Card is Installed' message whenever my Macbook Pro does not have the power adapter connected. When the power is connected everything works fine. If it is disconnected, the airport icon turns grey, airport disappears, and I can't turn on airport anymore.

Are you using an original AirPort card and not an AirPort Extreme card? The AirPort Extreme card is not compatible with a G3 iBook and installation of an AirPort Extreme card can, in fact, damage the iBook's logic board beyond repair.

Ipad air USB power adapter is not charging

I had to replace my charger twice within the year of having my ipad air in order to get it charging. The first time it happened I went out and bought a new cable (but kept the same adapter the ipad air came with). About a month or so later my ipad was no longer charging. I went out tonight and bought a new wall charger all together (so using a different adapter) and its now charging. I am not sure if this was an issue with the original power adapter or if there is something more going on. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I don't think it's unheard of. Charging issues can be things with the adapter, or with the cable.

HP Pavilion Power Adapter Beeping/Not Working

I just made a post earlier tonight about how my HP Pavilion dv7-1014ca Entertainment Notebook was running too hot. Well now I've got bigger problems.
The battery on my laptop has been shot for a while now. My notebook isn't even 2 years old yet and I've gone through3 batteries. For whatever reason, they just aren't lasting. Last year I also had issues with my power jack not working properly. I got it repaired last summer, but in the past two months, it seems as if the issue has returned. Sometimes when I move the chord, the power supply cuts out. Also in the past month or so, my power adapter has been making this annoying beeping noise whenever I plugged it in. It would usually go away if I fiddled with it, but as of right now, I can't get it to stop, short of unplugging the thing. As it stands, the power adapter no longer seems to work, and since my battery is shot, my notebook has turned off. With no battery and no external power source, my laptop is unusable.
So... is the adapter fried? Is my power jack toast again? Seeing as my PC is no longer under warranty, what are my best options for replacement parts/fixes?

I understand that your notebook's keyboard is not working, and that your alternative keyboard does not function as well. I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
Since your system's available drivers do not contain any keyboard drivers for Windows 7, I recommend obtaining a recovery disc to re-install Windows Vista on your system. This can be done by following this document on Obtaining HP Recovery Discs or an HP USB Recovery Drive.

MacBook Pro using power adapter but not charging.

My MacBook Pro is plugged in w/the power adapter, the green charging light is on, but my battery percentage is only showing 15% and is not increasing. It was actually at 60% this afternoon...went to 22% and now is @ 15%.

Could be bad battery or faulty charger or faulty charging circuitry. Take it to an Apple store or AASP.

MagSafe Power Adapter will not power my computer.

My wife's Macbook (white 13") just had this same issue. Started last night. Her battery got low, she plugged in the computer and it wouldn't charge (light turned green on the power adapter). The battery icon in the upper right bar shows an X through it.

I was hoping the issue was with the battery, so I shut down the computer, removed the battery and swapped batteries with my White 13" Macbook. I plugged in both machines and my mac (with her "bad" battery) started charging, while her mac (with my good battery) refused to charge and still showed the icon with the X.
Now I'm worried there's a bigger issue here, such as with the logic board.
Her mac is at 10.4.11 and has the 1.3 battery update installed.
I'm going to make an appointment at the Apple store today. The warranty on this machine expired on Friday.
I just love how this problem keeps happening almost right after the warranty runs out.

My Lenovo says that power adapter is not supported on brand new laptop

Hi, I bought new Lenovo laptop two weeks ago (Lenovo Y50-70) and everything worked fine up until this morning. When i turned it on baterry icon showed that laptop was not pluged in, so i checked if everything is connected properly. Next thing a pop-up appeared saying ''Adapter is not supported''. I am sending you a screenshot. I searched the problem on internet but were not able to find anything that relates to my problem. Also i tryed calling technical support but they were not able to respond to my problem. I am reminding that this is a brand new laptop with guarantee list and everything. Same here. I just got off a phone for my G50-70 laptop( bought from Newegg.com . It is a new laptop with warranty.
I am getting frustrated as they have sent the replacement charger twice and it did not solve the problem. After that, they got on a session remotely to connect on my laptop. One hour and they still could not fix it.
They said that they will send the laptop to their technicians but they did not say anything about what if they could not solve this problem.
A 600 USd dollar laptop and they cannot even get this fixed. I have ths problem for the last 6 months on this laptop.
Any luck anyone?

HT3964 My Macbook air charges intermittently. At times when I connect the power adapter it shows that power is coming in but says "not charging" and the led light on the power adapter does not light. At other times it charges normally. Any ideas?

That can happen when you are Taxing the system. No Apple supplied AC adapter supplies enough power to both power the system and charge the battery at the same time when the system is under Heavy Load, when you are Taxing the system heavily. At those times it will draw power from both the AC adapter and the battery at the same time. So if it is drawing power from both it can't charge the battery while it is drawing power from it.
