Power button and volume rocker
just noticed that there is tape spanning all 3...is that on there for a reason?..looks like a corner might be pulling up a little but dont know if I should pull it off or if it is functional....Thanks
We want you to have the best device experience, waxcrazy0! I can confirm that this is protective film added during manufacturing and can be removed.
Thank you,

Power button and volume rocker not working
I have bought new Microsoft Lumia 535 yesterday night. There was an update available when I brought it Home. I left it alone for half an hour for update to complete. When I returned it was blank, even if I try to switch it on it did not respond. I took the privilege of plunging it to charger and resetting it and still the result is same. By the way the volume rocker is also not responding. Please help me out. Thanks in advance.
Solved!

Camera Unlock Button and Volume Rocker Unresponsiv...
I have experienced multiple issues with the Lumia 900 Camera Button and Volume Rocker.
The Camera button should unlock the phone when held down but is often unresponsive even after the update. If you can't unlock the phone from the camera button it pretty much defeats the purpose of having a dedicated camera button. I made sure that the "Prevent Accidental Camera Unlock" feature was turned off and still had issues.
The volume rocker is also often unresponsive when the phone is locked. This causes the user to have to unlock the phone to adjust the volume while listening to music or podcasts which is very annoying.
Nokia, please fix these bugs and end the Smartphone Beta Test.I'm having the exact same issue. I have also confirmed that the demo units on display at the ATT stores suffer from this problem as well. In addition the ATT rep helping me could also reproduce this intermittent problem with her camera button.
Hopefully this gets addressed. My Samsung Focus was very reliable in this regard. -
Ipod nano 6 gen power button and volume up and down not working, Ipod nano 6 gen power button and volume up and down not working
Try restarting your device. If that doesn't work, take it to an Apple store. If it is less than a year old and just stopped working, they will replace it for free (be sure to back it up to iTunes first). If you dropped it, you will have to pay because Apple will not replace a device due to "Human Error." If it is more than a year old, you will either have to pay to get it fixed, or have to pay to get it replaced.

I forgot my ipod password and i didnt use it for along time so it wont even connect to itunes plus it fell in the toilet so my home button and volume button doesnt work what do i do?
Place the iOS device in recovery mode using this program
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
http://jaxov.com/2010/05/recboot-iphone-recovery-mode/and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
Enter DFU mode without home button or Power Button | technoNix
For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -
Hi,
This is for my wife's iPhone 4
She was on a call and went to end the call and the phone just turned off.
Left it on charge for an hour or so and nothing.
I tried the old reboot (home button and power button) and nothing
I tired with the sim out.
And with it plugged into a PC, opened iTunes and it didn't recognize that the phone was plugged in.
I tried my PC and nothing.
My phone charges and connects to both PC's
Tried holding the home button then plugging into PC
Tried holding the power button then into PC
I've now been trying different combinations for about 3 hours and now I'm all out of ideas.... :(
Please please can some help before Tuesday when I will have to find someone to repair it.
Thanks,Sounds like faulty battery. Make Genius reservation and take to Apple for quick (minutes) free battery diagnostic testing. If you have Warranty or AppleCare the problem will be covered.
