Power button board for pavillon g6 1352-el

Hi to all!
First of all i have to say that my english isn't so good then i think i'm going to do many grammatical errors, please excuse me.
I need an inforation about the power button board of my laptop.
Unfortunately i have broken the flat cable that connect the power button to  the main board and i haven't the right welder to make a new weld joint.
I want to replace this piece but in italy is impossible to find.
I have found a similar but the code isn't the same, so this is my question: these pieces are compatibles?
-hp power button da0r22pb6c0

thank you!

  • Acer Aspire 7750g Power button board compatibility

Hey guys! First post here on the Acer community forum. I have a question regarding my Acer Aspire 7750g. I bought & installed a new motherboard but I've been dealing with a major issue concerning the power button board. It seems to either have stopped working or the ribbon has shorted out, I don't have the means to test which part is defective, but no power is running to the power button board so I can't turn it on. I've been searching all over the place for a replacement power button board to no avail, but came across one for an Acer Aspire 5750. I know that certain components are interchangeable between both laptops but I don't know about this particular piece.
Are there any experts out here that can verify if getting a 5750 power button board would work? Or could this cause some potential problems to the new motherboard? I'm desperate to get this machine back running so that I can work again. Oh, and if anyone knows where I can get a 7750 power button board for a decent price in case the 5750 board doesn't work I would be greatly appreciative.
    Thank you

  • HP Pavilion dv6-1360us Entertainment PC power button broken, power button board removed for use.

After working on my wife's laptop for the last week and not being able to find "the" solution online, let alone a pic of the power button board. I thought I'd try to share my shortcut with anyone that can benefit from it and hopefully avoid unnecessary repairs and costs. Of course we don't want even more money going to HP for no reason.<br><br>The problem:<br>My wife was messing with our dog and a little pop splashed on and under the left front of the laptop. This was near the power button and underneath near the ram cover and vents. We unplugged the laptop and removed the battery as soon as I'd learned what happened. We dried it as best we could and after awhile started it back up. It started for shorter and shorter periods of time until it wouldn't start at all. I spent the next couple days trying all the forum solutions like holding the power button down, removing and inserting the battery and power supply ...blah, blah , blah. Eventually I came across somebody talking about the power button board. At this point the laptop with the battery only did nothing and had no lights, noise ...nothing. If the power supply was plugged in we had a light next to the plug and a front left panel light on. If the battery was removed and it was only the power supply we had only the light next to the power supply input. Everything i found said it was the motherboard or GPU. I feared the worst lol. I took it part for the 4th time and looked at the power button board and noticed the side of the power button itself had cracked all the way through. I decided i would try and start it without the power button board or cable connected instead of the shorting out process blogs were talking about.<br><br>The solution:<br>I removed the DVD drive, hard drive, ram, keyboard, bezel and hard drive then 1 by 1 added the DVD drive, ram, hard drive ...etc. and each time used the remote control to power on the laptop. It worked!!! Eventually I had everything back together with the power button board and cable completely removed and the laptop was up and running. I put some superglue on the cracked power button and plan to order a new power button board and cable along with a new bezel and power button if necessary but for now we've got everything working and all the important files she was working on at the time have been recovered. I did pull the hard drive the first day and put it in a portable USB shell and copy all the files to our backup drive. Anyway if the same kind of things are happening to yours at least you won't have to go thru everything i did. Good luck and i probably won't be back very often if at all to reply to any questions or to be told how i could've done it easier/more efficiently.<br><br>Power2dapeeps! lol

    Hi,
    Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
IDT Audio Driver - Windows 7.
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.  Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete.  Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again and check if the mute led now changes colour correctly.

I tried those already, did not work.
I did how ever remove the command key and wiped it down and it turns on perfectly!
but now the keyboard keys seem to be out of place or something. For example it makes a "ping" sound when i hit some of them, when i hit function or control it puts the letter Z.
    Any input would be great!

  • I need a new power management board for MacBook Pro.   The AC 7000 chip is blown from power serge.  Where can I get one in Fiji?

Where can I get my power management board repaired ...replace the AC7000 chip ( that now has a little hole in it from a power serge ) or replaced in Fiji?

Actually, this is how I do my projects   . . .  I pull together all the assets  (video clips, stills, graphics) and tag them in a database.  Then, I can pull them into various segments.   I learned the ctrl+m five years ago when it was suggested on the old forum by some guy named named Steve Grisetti.
Example  - - -  I've done multiple soccer videos.  There are maybe 16 players on a team...  each is a tag.   There are great headers  . . . that's  a tag . . . don't forget awesome defensive plays  . . .  tag.   A tag for screwups / funny.    A tag for regular season play, a tag for post-season playoffs, etc.
This allows you to build it as you go.   So, as you start to compile a season end video, it's relatively simple to pull content.    Oops, you review the segments and see that one kid's hardly included... select the tag with their name and you can pull in a few more clips.   If you're documenting a season, you can see how the database is coming along and determine you need more footage of certain situations and then adjust the shooting priorities at the next couple games, etc.
As you build the collection, possible themes come...  perhaps a song or two that might add an element or tie things together.
SO...  goal is to assemble a collection of decent and tight clips  (leaving room for handles on each).  Tossing out all the superferlous stuff.    In shooting a 90 minute soccer game, there can be times when I end up with only  ten minutes of visually interesting stuff.
I'm also compiling content to be used in a video for a cool company here in Seattle.   Different thing altogether, but will take a similar apporach (fewer digital assets, however).
I don't usually take assets from one project and put onto another  . . .  especially when doing youth sports, this could create issues.

CAUTION:This product contains components that are easily damaged by ElectroStatic Discharge (ESD). To reduce the chance of ESD damage, work over a non-carpeted floor, use a static dissipative work surface (like a conductive foam pad), and wear an ESD wrist strap that is connected to a grounded surface, like the metal frame of a PC.
Disconnect everything from the computer, including the power cord.
With the power cord disconnected , press the power button on the front of the computer and wait for ten seconds.

  • Fairly simple fix for dv6000 power button, microphone, internal speaker problems

    I have a dv6000 notebook computer, S/N CNF6380XM1, P/N EZ829AV.
Over time (I've had the computer for almost 4 years) the power button, internal speakers, and microphone became increasingly flaky and eventually stopped working altogether.  Classic signs of a bad connection.  I could still turn on the computer by touching the QuickPlay button to the right of the power button.
I used the Maintenance and Service Guide, HP Pavilion dv6000 Notebook PC, Document number 416618-003 (PDF can be found online from HP) to get the removal/replacement procedures for the switch cover (the piece of the case above the keyboard that has the power button, the Quick Play buttons, and the speakers) and the power button board.  Remove three silver screws inside the battery compartment, pop loose some snaps along the top edge of the switch cover, and carefully fold the switch cover back over the keyboard.  The power button board is pretty obvious other than knowing you need to slide the latch ears on the ZIF connector away from the connector body (towards the flex cable) in order to release the flat flex cable.
The power button board has flat flex cable that connects to the motherboard.  In addition to having the power switch, this board is used as a breakout board for the microphone and the internal speakers.  I looked at the contacts of the ZIF flat flex connector under a microscope and aha!, just as I suspected, they are gold plated.  You might think this is a good thing, and it would be if the mating contacts on the flat flex cable were also gold plated.  But alas they are tin plated.  Gold + tin + vibration + time = bad connection.   For those interested in the technical details of this, do a search for "fretting corrosion".
Since I'm pretty miserly and like to fix stuff, I decided to try simply cleaning the contacts.  I cut a strip of carborundum paper (very fine abrasive coated paper) the same width as the flex cable, insert it into the ZIF connector, close the latch, and pull the paper out.  I repeated this 3 times, then shot some compressed air into it to remove any gritty dust.  I then rubbed the contacts of the flat flex cable with the carborundum paper and wiped them off with a clean static-free cloth.
After reassembly, everything is working again!  Since this didn't address the root cause of the problem, it will probably eventually start acting up again, but maybe by that time I'll be ready for a new computer anyway.  A proper fix would be to replace the ZIF connector with one that has tin contacts, and to replace the flat flex cable.
This is a design flaw on the power button board.  A ZIF connector with tin contacts should have been used.  Ironically, I learned about fretting corrosion over 20 years ago from an old HP reliability guru named Ed Aoki when I was an engineer in the HP medical electronics business.
After doing an internet search on "dv6000 power button", I saw that there seem to be quite a few frustrated people out there that are having similar problems with internal speakers and microphone.  The troubleshooting flow chart in the service manual does not help to properly identify the problem component (the power button board and flat flex cable).  Hopefully this info will be helpful.

No, its too expensive for HP to plate the zif connectors with something that doesn't corrode....rolleyes.
    Thanks nice tutorial.

Ipod touch 4th gen was accidentally disconnected from laptop during update process. Now permanent screen pic is of the power cord w/ an arrow pointing up to itunes symbol. Holding the ctr & power buttons together for 6-10 sec causes apple pic to briefly appear and power cord/itunes pic reappears. Powering off and on has same effect. Attempting to reset.

My Ipad 2 will shut completely down if not being used for a while. You have to hold power button down for several minutes before it will power back on. anyone else have this problem and know how to fix?  My other sons ipad 2 doesnt do this and they have both had updates and are same generation.

I had major issues with the iPhone 4s battery, however it’s resolved.
The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

  • Lenovo V570 Laptop Power Button does not work. Did I screw it up?

Hi, my Lenovo V570 keyboard recently stopped working so I took the keyboard off to reposition the cable. In the process I disconnected another cable on the motherboard (shown in the pictures below). I also cant find the black plastic piece that was holding it down.
Now not only does the keyboard not work but the power button does nothing. After research though Ifound out this laptop is notorius for having the power button go bad.
When I plug in the AC adapter I do see the battery light go on and it charges so I dont think the motherboard is bad. I
have tried every trick in the book as far as getting static out of the laptop power button (holding down power button for
certain times). I looked at the mainteneance manual for this laptop and could not figure out what the disconnected cable does. I have tried reconnecting the cable without the plastic piece but that did not work.
Is the disconnected cable responsible for this or should I order a new power button board with cable?
