  • Legal French unlocked iphone not working correctly

I recently purchased an iphone in France and paid the €100 to have it unlocked to use in Belgium - after successfully unlocking the phone via iTunes I am having problems using the phone and sms function, some of the issues include:
I can make out going calls through the address book but cannot end the call as all the call controls are gone
The only way to end the call is to turn the phone of completely
The phone keypad crashes every time I push one of the digits
Can not answer incoming calls from Belgium but can from the UK
I have read on some blogs that this is due to the iPhone being country specific and on others that a legally unlocked phone is fully unlocked and that many of the phone-related apps only work correctly in countries that Apple added support for in 1.1.2 and this is a bug that will be fixed in firmware 1.1.3.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the tip - it has helped with making phone calls but the other problems are still there - I have contacted apple and they don't know whats going on. I will have to take it up with Orange as this is a regional problem.
    Thanks for you help

  • ICal alarms on my iPhone not working correctly?

With my iPhone turned ON, any alerts that are set for any of my calendars show up in the correct way. If my iPhone is turned OFF when an alert was due to sound, with the previous software version 2.2.1, when I turned my iPhone ON it would still alert me, but since I've updated to version 3.0, this doesn't happen anymore? I'm sure it should do, I've always received alerts from my iCal on my iMac when I switch it on in the morning for any alerts that should have sounded whilst my computer was off. Has anyone else noticed this or have, is it a glitch or have I just been unlucky when I updated? If that's the case, any ideas how to resolve the problem, other than a full restore!!

Every since my wife and I upgraded both of our iPhones with the iPhone 3.0 software, calendar alerts do not work. They do not work with "all day" events. They do work if you put a specific time. The alerts were working before the 3.0 upgrade.

  • Power button on my 3gs not working and I can't switch it on

Any help appreciated, my power button hasn't worked for a couple of weeks, not normally a problem as it is regularly charged. I had it on charge earlier when another appliance caused the circuit it was on to surge and the phone to switvh on, now I can't switvh it back on. Any ideas

Sounds like it's broken.  Get the phone fixed or replaced, or buy a new phone.

  • Power button on iPad 1 not working

Our iPad isn't even a year old and the power button is not working. When you press it...NOTHING happens.
We have done a hard reset, soft reset...everything we can think of and it's still not working.
    Any advice???

Take it into your local Apple Retail Store and have a Genius fix it for you. I recommend scheduling an appointment to the Genius bar so you can avoid wait times. Search your local Apple Store in the search bar on the Apple website, and schedule an appointment.

  • IPhone not working correctly

My iPhone 5 is not sending iMessages consistently (for example, one may go through and the next three will not) and when I open app's they keep closing. I've powered the phone off and on several times now. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The next user troubleshooting steps are a reset, then restore from backup and finally restore as new device. iMessage success depends on an active connection on both sides of the conversation, both sender and receiver, and any interruption in that connection can render the message as undeliverable. You can also take the time to double tap on the home button and swipe upwards on the thumbnail of the apps to close everything in the task tray, then do the reset, holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo, then release. The phone will reboot. Failure of a send on your part may not have anything to do with your device, but the app closure could be corrected by this reset.

  • Find my iPhone not working correctly

I've used Find My iPhone successfully in the past, most recently about a month or two ago. But last night, I misplaced my iPod Touch 3G in my home. I went to icloud.com, signed on, and wanted to play a sound to locate my Touch, but the device page said my Touch was Offline.  The All Devices page says "No Location Available. None of your devices can be located."
Eventually I found my Touch the old-fashioned way and was surprised to find that Wi-fi, Location Services, and iCloud services were all on and working properly. I tested syncing Reminders with iCloud to make sure, and it's working perfectly.
What I tried to get it to work:
    Reset network settings
Turning off and on Wi-Fi, location services, and iCloud services
    Rebooting device several times
I have not made any changes to iOS, my icloud.com settings, or any iOS accounts in recent months. No passwords have been changed (and besides, iCloud is otherwise working normally).
Anyone have an idea what could be wrong?
I realize setting up my Touch from scratch is always an option to try but that would take at least an entire day to do. That is only a last resort option that I am avoiding at all costs right now.
Any suggestions are welcome. I am really stumped and would like to get Find my iPhone working again. It is an essential feature.

Same problem here.  Reading through the forums but not finding anything other than a bunch of people with the same problem.  I believe I've checked and double-checked all appropriate settings and they are correct (the iOS7 upgrade seems to have turned off location settings, but I turned it back on).  Yet the iPhone 5 with iOS7 stubbornly now shows as "Offline" ... when it is not.
    C'mon, Apple, what's the fix?

  • Help!! iPhone not working correctly

So i bought my iPhone and love it!! I immediately went and bought an Otterbox for its protection. Well, yesterday i dropped it into a glass of tea. I immediately took it out, took off the Otterbox cover and dried it off. The phone and all the software is working fine. When i make or receive a call, i cant hear the caller. The ear speaker seems to not be working. The speakers for the ringer are working fine. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your inquiry. Adding what was stated, the water damage to the iPhone could result in you needing to replace it at full retail if the suggestion provided was not able to assist you. If your iPhone had insurance then you can file a claim to replace the phone. There is a detectable of $169.00 for the 16 megabyte model or $199.00 for the 32 megabyte model. Please use this link to assist you with filing the claim: http://www.phoneclaim.com/verizon

  • IPhone not working correctly since 7.0.4 Update.

    Hello cummunity,
I updated my iPhone 4S the other day to the new 7.0.4 and since I've done that update I can't use wifi anymore, the button is a real light grey and can't be activated, I tried restoring my iphone 3 times yesterday but no succes only losing my contacts and apps, has this happend to any one else and if possible make a fix for this, and my iphone is very buggy aswell, when I go in setting in takes 3 seconds (real time) everytime I press something to go onto the part I choose.
Thanks for a quick reply because atm I can only use 3G to use internet and it isn't free on my subscription.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jack.

    Hello Jack,
Thanks for the question. I understand that your Wi-Fi option on an iPhone 4S is greyed out. Great job on troubleshooting, as you have exhausted almost all steps outlined in this article:
iOS: Wi-Fi settings grayed out or dim
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
    1. Verify that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
    2. Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings
    3. Ensure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.
    4. If your issue is still unresolved, perform a software restore in iTunes.
If you are still unable to turn Wi-Fi on, please contact Apple for support and service options.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Power button and volume rocker not working

I have bought new Microsoft Lumia 535 yesterday night. There was an update available when I brought it Home. I left it alone for half an hour for update to complete. When I returned it was blank, even if I try to switch it on it did not respond. I took the privilege of plunging it to charger and resetting it and still the result is same. By the way the volume rocker is also not responding. Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

  • My power button on my iphone is not working. What can i do about that?

my power button on my iphone is not working. What can i do about that?

Meaning that you cannot restart or reset the phone?  If you haven't tried already, try both options.
Otherwise, you can do a backup & restore, or even a restore as new (only after a successful backup).
If the issue persists, then look at a replacement. Either it will be a hardware defect (free if within warranty), or physical damage ($49 with AppleCare Plus, $149 without it.)

    Hello there stidhambr15,
I was researching the issue you are having and recommend a couple of things. First it might be a good idea to reset the device following iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't quite get the device going again, I recommend restoring the device.

Might even be a good idea to turn off the phone, reseat the SIM card, and turn it back on.

  • Hi I have an iPhone 4 and suddenly it stopped working. Could here notifications and nothing on the diisplay. Wake up  button on top is not working. so unable to restart the phone. Wanted to try restore from iTunes but Find my iPhone (iCloud) is on.

Hi I have an iPhone 4 and suddenly it stopped working. Could here notifications and nothing on the diisplay. Wake up  button on top is not working. so unable to restart the phone. Wanted to try restore from iTunes but Find my iPhone (iCloud) is on. How to recover or restart my Phone

Follow these steps to log into your iCloud account on your computer and deactivate "Find my iPhone" on your device:
Remove an iOS device or Mac on which you can’t turn off Find My iPhone
If you can’t turn off Find My iPhone on the device, turn off the device so it goes offline, then remove it from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com.
Note:    You can also remove your iOS device by first erasing it—just follow the instructions below for removing an iOS device you don’t have. You can later restore the device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
Turn off the device you want to remove.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find on another computer with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud). If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, select the offline device, then click Remove from Account. If you don’t see Remove from Account, click All Devices again, then click the Delete button next to the device. If the device comes online again, it will reappear in Find My iPhone. If your device reappears, turn off Find My iPhone on the device (follow the instructions above for removing a device by turning off Find My iPhone), or if it’s an iOS device and you no longer have it, follow the instructions below for removing an iOS device you no longer have.
Remove an iOS device you no longer have
If you no longer have the iOS device because you gave it away or sold it, you need to remotely erase it before you can remove it.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud). If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, then select the device.
Click Erase [device], then enter your Apple ID password. Because the device isn’t lost, don’t enter a phone number or message.
Note:    If you’re trying to erase a family member’s device, that person will need to enter his or her Apple ID password on this device. If the device is offline, the remote erase begins the next time it’s online. You’ll receive an email when the device is erased.
When the device is erased, click Remove from Account. All your content is erased, and someone else can now activate the device.
