Oh, I see your dilemma.
Your store is not carrying the 60W power adapter. Just buy the 85W power adapter and use it instead. Both produce the same Voltage, the 85W just has more extra capacity. It will not overcharge anything, and since it runs cooler, it may last longer. That is what I did when I needed a new adapter, and i can assure you it works great.
Intel-Based Apple Portables: Identifying the right power adapter and power cord--US
For instance If you have a MacBook (13-inch Late 2009) that normally uses a 60W adapter, you can also use an 85W adapter with that computer. You would not use a 45W adapter with that computer; it would not provide enough power for that MacBook. Using an adapter of higher wattage than the adapter that came with the computer will not cause the computer to charge more quickly or otherwise operate any differently than using the adapter that came with the computer.

  • Lost power plug for Home Hub 3

Hi everyone! We somehow managed to lose our power supply plug for our Home Hub 3 and BT don't sell replacements...
So I was going to ask if someone could possible measure the dimensions of their barrel connector on their HH 3 power plug, if we have the plug dimensions then we can just order a replacement plug from Amazon/eBay... We'd need the internal diameter, and the outer diameter of the connector.
If someone could do that it would be awesome and we'd be very grateful as we could then use the HH
    Many thanks everyone,

P.S I did speak to live chat and was told that the techincal support team didn't have this sort of information

    Hi
You may be better off going to that well known internet auction site and get the correct one (check type A, B) you could end up buying an incorrect one and ruining your hub.
You would also have a spare hub.

  • Power Plug for South Africa?

I'm planning a trip to South Africa this summer and want to take my computer with me. I've heard of those conversion plugs that you can buy at Radio Shack and here are my questions:
    1. Are those converters safe to use with my MBP? I've heard some stories about the converter causing damage to little appliances like alarm clocks, but haven't heard anything about computers.
    2. Would it be possible/better to get a cord from Apple that is specifically for use in South Africa (not America)?
    Thanks for the help.

You don't need a converter; the Mac power supply is multi-voltage. You will need a power cord adapter. See for example: http://electricaloutlet.org/type-m

  • Where can I get the power plug for my new mac graphics card?

I bought a new graphics card and am just now installing it, but I need the mini PCI-e power cord to PCI-e cord to power the card? Where can I get that cord?

If you buy the 5770 from Apple as an upgrade kit it has the cable(s) - two for the 5870, one for 5770.
If you bought a mac pro mid-2010 it may very well have come with cable(s), that I have never read or heard from others.
OWC has not always inicluded cables but has charged extra, as they did with eVGA GTX285 where Apple sold with cables, and buying from OWC added another $30? or more to the cost with cables "extra" is what I recall.

  • 3GS power plug for 110 and 220?

I've received different answers to this question. The plug that comes with the 3GS is rated 110-240, which to me means I don't need a converter when using in either 110 or 220 countries. The Apple store guy says not true. I figure all I need is an adapter for the prong, correct?

You are correct, he is not: All you need is an adapter from your supply to the sockets of the country you are visiting.

  • Satellite L455 - Power plug and battery LEDs on and it flashing orange

I have a Satellite L455 that has been working perfectly for over six months now but from two weeks ago it started behaving strangely.
I switched off the machine normally in the evening as I was going to sleep. In the morning when I switched it on it powered on, HDD and Power On Leds blinked blue for a few seconds then they went off. Machine did not boot. I tried to switch it on again and it did the same thing. Then I saw the 'power plug on' and 'Battery On' Leds flashing orange at the same time. I unplugged the power adapter. The two leds were still flashing but machine will not power up. I removed the battery for a bout 5 minutes then reinserted it and the machine worked fine the whole day.
I switched it off removed the power plug and in the morning still it would not boot until when I removed the battery for a few minutes then it works again. The battery is charging fine as when I remove it and reinsert it even without plugging power cable still fires up and perfectly works.
Then I removed the battery and the power plug and pressed the power button for thirty seconds to discharge the machine and then put back power and battery and it worked until I switched off again and removed power then it did not come on again.
If I just shut down machine and I dont switch off power plug then I can switch back on and work with the machine with no hassle even for three days continuously.
What could be wrong? Any help will really be appreciated.
    Regards
    Yusuf

    Hi chidzungo,
This must be definitely a hardware malfunction but its strange why it appears every day after you have shut down the notebook. Do you use original Toshiba AC/DC adapter and battery? Have you connected external devices to your notebook? If yes remove them before you turn on your notebook.
What BIOS version is installed at the moment? You should look on Toshiba website for an update. BIOS update could also help and its worth a try.
Before you start the BIOS update read the BIOS update instructions [HERE|http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=60]
Satellite L455 seems to be an US model so the BIOS update can be downloaded on Toshiba US page but check the exact part number first:

All you need is a plug adaptor, if required. Apple sells an adapter kit:

  • Screen lag when plugged for power- since new updates came out..

I am having some issues with screen lag-locked up screen- not moving screen, since last updates. If I pull out the power plug, it works good , screen moves fast. does anyone have same issue or solution for this issue???
    CAN someone help?

Try a different wall charger. I was having a similar situation where the phone wouldn't respond to my touch while plugged in when I was using a different transformer plug with my original usb cable. It wasn't until I found my original transformer plug. I never saw the issue with the car charger or an I-Go wall charger.

  • How To Order New AC Power Supply for Satellite A350-20Q?

    Hi,
I bought my Satelite A350-20Q 2 1/2 yeras ago, and when I turned on my laptop the screen was dim, the power supply was already plugged in but it did not make any change. How can order a replacement?
    Thanks

According notebook specification AC power supply for your notebook has part number PA3290E-3AC3. I dont know where do you live but Googling around and using this part number as search term you will, I hope, find enough online stores where you can order new AC adapter.
You can also contact nearest Toshiba service provider and ask them to order it for you.

  • Power plug diameters for WRT350N?

I'm trying to find the power adapter plug diameter that will fit the WRT350N (v1) nicely, as the original power adapter for this is long gone.
    I have tried a 12VDC 1.5A adapter with a plug of:
    Outer diameter: 5.5mm
    inner diameter: 2.8mm
but it's a bit too loose, which results in some fluttery power cycling ... hoping to find the diameters that will make a solid fit.
Linksys product info doesn't seem to have this -- they stop at "12 volt power."
    Thanks for any help ...
