Power Point Report Default

Can anyone tell me how I can change the default Power Point Template to point to a template from my company, not the National Instruments Template.

Hey Blane63580,
The default PowerPoint template is located in the DIAdem installation directory, installed by default to the following location:
"C:\Program Files\National Instruments\DIAdem 2010\Resource\PowerPointTemplate.ppt"
I recommend you rename that file but keep it as a backup, and then add your file with template in its place (and renaming it to PowerPointTemplate.ppt).

  • Power point report using LabVIEW

    Hai,
i am trying to generate some kind of reports in power point tthrough labview.
I have been searching in the net. i don't get the complete details like creating new slide , editing it and so on. Rather i could get details only for running the slide show.
i have tried with activex vis automation open.vi with the reference as MS- power point documnet window, slides ,etc.
that vi throws "not creatable object" for almost all reference except power point application reference.
Has anyone done this kind work with labview.
If anyone has idea about this please tell me how to do this.
    Thanks,
    sathish

    Hello,
I think you also sent an email.  I'll post some information for the masses as well:
The following is a very useful msdn.com document - a useful place to find information about microsoft products such as powerpoint.
    Microsoft PowerPoint Objects http://msdn.microsoft.com/archive/default.asp?url=/archive/en-us/office97/html/web/006.asp
For adding a slide, see the quoted text in that document and corresponding example which starts "The following example adds a slide to the beginning of Sample Presentation."
Remember, the ActiveX API exposed by Powerpoint (or any other application with an ActiveX Server) is entirely independent of LabVIEW, so even a text based example suffices to elucidate the necessary calls to the API.  It turns out that with a "presentation" reference we can get a "slides" reference using a property node, and then get to the "add" method using an invoke node.  The attached screenshot (also shown below) shows how to expose this method in LabVIEW.
    Thank you,

  • Ppt generate power point report

    Hello,
how could I generate a report in power point (ppt) in labview?
I do the analysis of some images and I can generate a report in Word (doc), but need to generate in ppt, I saw that on a make tools it provides the option of generating reports in excel and word.
I am using labview with vision module.
    Thanks very much.

Yes, we know what PowerPoint is. That doesn't mean one knows how to automate it. Microsoft provides an ActiveX interface for Microsoft applications so other programs can automate it. Thus, this is what you have to do. There is a chapter in the LabVIEW Help on how to use ActiveX. There are also examples that ship with LabVIEW that use ActiveX to automate Excel. Automating PowerPoint will follow the same approach. You can also read this: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/2983
Examples on automating PowerPoint have been posted before. Search the forum. You may also be able to find examples in the Community section. Again, search.
You may also want to consider using Word or Excel instead. Then you'd be able to use the Report Generation Toolkit from NI.

  • Report download to power point doesn't show all records

    dear experts,
I have a report with a tape deck below, so it shows only records 1-25. When I click download to excel, every record is downloaded (1-all rows) and this is fine. But, if I download to power point, only the records shown on the dashboard (e.g. 1-25) are downloaded into power point.
Our quality assurance claims, that the behaviour for both download options should be the same, and not downloading to excel having every row and the power point showing limited rows.
Is there a way to download the whole report, each row, to power point (without clicking on tapedeck to show all) ??
    Thanks in advance.
    best regards,

    problem solved
modify report - results(answers) - click on printer icon (PDF and Print Control) - Print Rows - set to "All"

  • Project Status Report in MS Power Point

    Hi Experts!
I am very new to Project Systems. Our requirement is to create a Project Status Report. This report should be generated in MS Power Point which should be editable.
Do we have any standard reports or test reports for the same? Can someone give some pointers for the same? Your help is highly appreciable.
    Thanks a lot.

Try convincing your client saying that this is absolutely not possible in standard SAP. However also let the client know about other alternative stating that standard SAP reports can be downloaded to Excel which then can be used as a reference to create a power point presentation. This, though, can be done manually only.

    Hi Tanay,
I am not aware of a control you can put in PowerPoint, however, you can insert a web browser control and reference a page in SPO (or maybe even directly the path to the workbook, didn't try that).

  • Report to MS Power Point

    Hi Experts!
We have a requirement where we need to generate a report output in MS Power Point. Can somebody please provide your inputs and suggestions on this? Are there any test programs to check on the same? Your help is highly appreciable.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Srinivas,
First create a kind of template in powerpoint in the layout that is required but without the data. The data is to be provided in SAP.
Then save this template layout from powerpoint in 'powerpoint XML presentation' format.
You can import this XML in SAP. Either you paste the complete XML in your ABAP coding, or better, you paste it in a transformation. Then either from ABAP you need to add the dynamic data into the XML using ABAP statements or you add the dynamic data into your transformation by using data nodes. Transformation is a SAP tool that can transform ABAP data into XML.

  • Export standard and Custom report to xls / word / power point ??

    Hi
    Apps: 12.1.3
    DB 11gR1
Is there any tool so that i can save standard and Custom report to xls / word / power point ??
    Thanks
    Vishwa

There are a few third party tools that let you do that.
Some such tools are Monarch, Rep2excel etc.
Google for "convert oracle report to excel" and you will get a few more hits.
The best way to get it in Excel is to change the output format to XML and write a quick XML publisher template.
    Hope this helps

  • How SSRS report export to Power Point (PPT)

    Hi,
Is there any functionality within SSRS 2008R2 which allows exporting a report to Power Point (PPT) ? We are using SSRS reporting service(SqlServer2008R2). Please suggest, how can we export report in Power Point presentation (PPT).
Below are the details about Server
    Sql Server:-SQLSERVER2008R2
    .Net:-C#, VS2012
    Thanks & Regards
    Gajendra Paliwal

    Hi Gajju,
According to your description, you want to know if there is any functionality within SSRS 2008R2 which allows you to export a report to Power Point. I am afraid there is no such a functionality to achieve it. This is a known issue which you can see in the
    link below.
    http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/310639/add-rendering-of-powerpoint-to-reporting-services-export-format
If you can use SSRS 2012 SharePoint Integrated Mode, we can create a Powerview report, and export this report to PowerPoint.
Export a Power View Report to PowerPoint
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Hyperion Report Exporting to Power Point

We are using Hyperion Interactive Reporting 9.3, is there any option to export the report to MS Power Point output. If anybody can reply on this, then it will be appreciable.
    Thanks,
    Siby John

    Hi
I've not actualy done it with Interactive Reporting but you can do this using SmartView (I have done it for Financial reporting). According to the SmartView user guide:
"Using Smart View, you can import Reporting and Analysis documents into Microsoft Excel,
    Word, or PowerPoint.
For Interactive Reporting, you can import charts, dashboards, and reports. Using the latest
run of BQY jobs, Interactive Reporting supports refresh capabilities."
One thing that I found was that the image imported cannot go over multiple pages / slides in MS Word / PowerPoint. Where I had a report with a large number of rows returned it truncated the view to fit the imported object.
    Hope this helps

  • Embed dynamic smart view report into power point

    Hello All.
can amyone help with How to Embed dynamic smart view report into power point
    Thanks.

Have you tried dragging and dropping onto a ppt slide? I just did and showed up sheet one of the workbook. If you have many sheets in the workbook and want to show a particular sheet/data, you may want to save workbook with that sheet visible when you reopen. One thing I have not checked is dynamic content of the worksheet.

  • Power point project won't move to the next slide

I create a project with several power point slides and then some automation and then slides again. The automation created within captivate moves from slide to slide. But the power point slides don't move to the next slide automatiacally. I have to click on next to make them move. I looked in the manual and can't find a source to tell me what to do with the slides to make them move automatically (like a slide show would be).  Any suggestions?

    Hi there
When you import a PPT, you have two options. One option allows the PPT to just play through. The other option inserts a Click Box object on slides that prevents the slide from moving forward until clicked by the user. The choice is made in the dialog.
The default is On mouse click. After your slides arrive, the timeline looks like this:
To allow the slide to move forward, delete the Click Box.

  • SmartView POV Manager in Power Point

    Hi All,
I'm trying to past and copy data from a SmartView report developed in Excel to a Power Point slide.
The data are correctly copied and dispayed but every time I past a figure SmartView generates a new Query displayed in the Power Point POV Manager.
Even if I cancel the pasted figure the Query remains in the POV Manager , this means that I have a lot of these query that I don't use anymore.
How can I delete old query that are no longer used?
    Thank you in advance

    Hi,
What version are you connecting to V11, 9.3.x ?
What source are you connecting to Planning, Essbase ?
An example in V11 would you enter adhoc analysis mode and this will return the default POV, you should also get a floating toolbar with POV on it, you can select one of the dimensions and then select .... and it will open the member selection window where you can choose a member.
In 11 to use the POV manager, right click the application you are connected to and choose add to favourites, then go to the POV manager, there should be Active in the right hand window, double click it and a connection should appear, double click the connection and a POV window should be displayed, now you can click on a dimension and click the member selector and you will be able to select a member.
It should be around the same sort of process of other versions, not exactly the same I know.
    Cheers
