Hi,
I have attached the screenshot of a VI for Voltage Sag. You can similarly build it urself for Swell.
Hope that helps.

Power factor simulation and measurement
I need to simulate in LabView 7.1 an application that simulates an AC waveform (voltage and current) like if I take them directly from a facility and with this info calculate the Power Factor, Reactive, Active and Apparent power. all this for a single and three phase system.
I have little experience on Labview and all help will be appreciate it.
ThanksThere is an example program online that might help you out with single-phase AC circuits:

The power went out and when it returned the network name and password was lost. I can see the network in my connections and connect to it. How do I get it back to the orginal name and password? I have an HP laptop.
Chances are, there was a signficant power surge or voltage fluctuation just before the power went out. This type of thing can cause the AirPort Extreme to reset back to default settings.
If this occurs, your only option is re-configure the device again, just as you did originally.
In order to improve your chances this next time this happens, (especially if you live in an area where thunderstorms are severe), a good quality surge suppressor / voltage limiting power strip will really help, and may save you the entire device or a nearby computer next time something like this occurs. -
RTP, synchronize video/audio, quality parameters
Hello.
i am starting with a project and i dont know how to start.
The goal of the project is to send a video from and url or video or camera from A to B, send an audio from C to B. B joined the video and the audio and send to D that is the final client. Furthermore, i have to know information about the packets that A and C send to B and B send to D, and the packets received by D. I have to get a way to compare the quality of the video and audio sent and the quality of the video and audio received by the final client D.
I also want that when another client E ask for the same video to B he receive the same packets in real time than the other client D.
Can anybody help me? Should i use RTP? How could i get quality parameters about each packet received and sent by the client and provider? How can i synchronize the video and the audio received by B and send it in real time to the final client?
Thank u very much.footmaniac wrote:
Then, can't I synchronize the video and audio with the timestamp of each frame with JMF? the final client will receive the audio and video not synchronize then... No, because the timestamps are transmission time of the data packet. You can synchronize by those, sure, but that'll just make it so that they are syncronized based on when they were transmitted, not based on media time or link-up markers or anything.
An another question, for example, i run AVTransmitt2 and it opens an RTP conection waiting for a request. If nobody requests then it doesnt start with the tranmission of the video. Well, then i run AVReceive2 and the transmission of the video starts. then i run another AVReceive2 and i want that if the first AvReceive2 is still receiving the video then the second AVreceive2 receives the same. And if the first AvReceive2 has received the whole video... the second AvReceive2 receive the beginning of the video. Using the same instance of AvTransmit2.You can't even dynamiclly add new targets once you start your RTP session, so, it's impossible to do that using the "same instance" of any class. Once you start broadcasting to the first AVReceive2, the second one needs its own instance of AVTRansmit2...and you can start up the video it's receiving wherever you want, so you could just make it start where the other instance is currently broadcasting. -
hi friends,
I am not able to generate voltage unbalance and transients using labview8.0.If anyone can suggest me of a way ,it would be of a great help to me.
Thanking in anticipation,
preitwihi mathan sir,
basically, what i have to do is to generate the power quality disturbances like sag, unbalance, harmonics etc using labview 8.0.Since there is very limited material available in the net and moreover i am new to labview,i am facing problems in generating those events.
I have attached a few of the disturbances which i think will give you a fair idea of what i am trying to generate.
Thanks,

Possible to limit dimensions and measures when creating presentations?
We are trying to use OLAP/BI Beans to add BI functionality to our next-generation data warehouse application. This application has its own security framework, with the ability to define permissions/privileges for objects. We need to integrate BI Beans/OLAP with this security framework.
One of the things we need to do is control which OLAP objects (like dimensions and measures) are available to a given user in the Items tab when creating a presentation. For example, user A might see dimensions Alpha, Bravo and measure Charlie, while user B might see dimensions Delta, Echo and measure Foxtrot.
We need to be able to apply these dimension/measure restrictions without using different Oracle users, with each having access only to their own OLAP objects. Our data warehousing application does not use Oracle and Oracle users to control security; it has its own internal frameworks for privileges/permissions. We therefore need to find a way to restrict access to OLAP objects in some programmatic way.
Here's an example of how this might work:
- I am a clinical analyst. I sign on to the data warehouse application. The data warehouse knows that as a clinical analyst, I have access to a certain list of objects and functionality across the application. One of the apps I have privilege to is the BI Bean Presentation Creation Application, so I click the menu to bring this up. I can now create BI presentations, but since I am a clinical analyst my list of available dimensions and measures do not contain any of the G/L, payroll or other financial OLAP objects.
- If I signed onto the data warehousing application as a different user, one that has a financial analyst role, I might see a different set of OLAP objects when I run the presentation application application.
So what we need is some API way to specify which dimensions and measures are available to a given user when they launch the presentation wizard. I've been digging through the BI Beans help and javadoc and have found a few things, but they aren't what I need.
Here's what I found:
- setItemSearchPath: this allows you to specify which folders are to be displayed. We want control at the OLAP object level, not at the folder level, so this doesn't work for us
- setVisibleDimensions: this controls which dimensions are available in the Dimensions tab, not which dimensions can be selected in the Items tab. Doesn't work for us
- setDimensionContext/setMeasureContext: These might work for us but I haven't been able to get them to retrieve anything yet. It also seems to me that these might set which dimensions/members are initially selected in the Items tab, not the list of dims/measures that are available for selection.
Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
s.l.Reply from one of our developers:
The get/setMeasureContext and get/setDimensionContext methods are currently only used by the Thick CalcBuilder (in a few limited scenarios) and cannot be used "to scope the dimensions and measures listed in Query and Calc builder based on user access rights".
The scoping of dimensions and measures based on user access rights should be performed at the MetadataManager/Database level.
This may change going forward as the real issue here is the static nature of the metadata and a general issue with the GRANT option within the database. So from the database perspective it is not possible to grant select priviledges on a single column of a table.
The metadata issue is more complex as the OLAP API reads the metadata only once on startup of a session. The list of available measures is based on the GRANT priviledge, so for relational OLAP this limits the data scoping capabilities. In 10g, the metadata for AW OLAP becomes more dynamic and contained and read directly from the AW. Therefore, with an AW OLAP implementation with 10g it could be possible to scope boht dimensions and measures quickly and easily.
Hope this helps

Log Message:
Reordering the if-statement in isMeasureFixed() exposed that hostFormat can be null when measure() is called if styles changed and measure is done before the next commitProperties. This states test exposed this.
We should rethink if we want to clear hostFormat rather than have a hostFormatChanged flag. If there is no hostFormat at measure then it has to be fixed because there is no line break format to check for auto-size.

flex/sdk/trunk/frameworks/projects/spark/src/spark/primitives/RichEditableText.asOh my god, it is too long! You definitely check out types, casting and especially ODP.Net (it does everything for you)... etc. They can help you to simplify your code. I do not have enough time to copy paste it to Studio and understand and solve your issue, so I got title of your message as your main question.
In Oracle, you can create an autonumber field by using sequences object. This is really useful when you need to create a unique number to act as a primary key.
Basically you can create a sequence simply typing;
CREATE SEQUENCE MY_SEQUENCE;
now you have a sequence called "MY_SEQUENCE"... Then, I advice you select a number from sequence;
select MY_SEQUENCE.nextval from dual;
I said I advice actually kinda must, although it called sequence, I cannot be sequential. Do not even try to predict the value. You can be sure that it is unique number so you can use it.
Then insert you record and use that number part of your primary key. I think that's it. Have fun. -
After reading and resetting everything with Keyboard I still get blank white screen on 2nd? page of boot. The only way I can boot to Mavericks is unplug power cord, push and hold power button while plugging power cord in. Fans run at full speed, machine boots then runs normal except the dvdrw will not . The mid 2011 IMAC had the same problem with LION. I changed hard drives, formatted, and installed a clean install of latest os x mavericks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use the uninstaller provided with the Sophos software. You can uninstall CUDA via the preference pane. Be sure you remove the com.nvidia.CUDA extension which is located in the /System/Library/Extensions/ folder. Not sure if Fan Control has an uninstaller so you will have to do it manually:
Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS. Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term. Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default. You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder. Usually with the same name as the program or the developer. The item generally has a ".pkg" extension. Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications. Here is a selection:
1. AppZapper
2. AppDelete
3. Automaton
4. Hazel
5. AppCleaner
6. CleanApp
7. iTrash
8. Amnesia
9. Uninstaller
10. Spring Cleaning
For more information visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on removing software.
Be sure to remove your two Login Items. Finally do this:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless. -
I have plugged a portable battery to the USB and my macbook pro stopped working after that, right before it shut down there was a message on the screen that said something like " USB device is withdrawing so much power, please disconnect and connect again?
if the device I connected have caused this, shouldn't the macbook itself have some type of protection that should prevent this from happening.
because when I took it to an apple certified maintenance shop, the guy said that now it could only run while connected to the power. it won't run on batteries. and that I have to change the motherboard.
can I just replace the damaged part only, would apple consider this as a design issue and they could pay for it, or should I just buy a new motherboard for 800$.
Help.BB1B2,
The problem is in finding a tech shop that will/can do board level repairs on Macs. They are few. And I certainly wouldn't spend $800 on a new logic board - I would replace the computer if I had to pay that much!
You could call around to a few repair shops and see if they feel competent to isolate the problem and do a board level repair - but I'm afraid, in the end, that your search will be futile.
Sorry,

Function Modules for creation of characteristics and Measurement Points
Hello everybody
I'm new in ABAP (trainee) and especially the use of characteristics. I'd be very happy if somebody could help me :).
Can anybody out there with some experience in creating characteristics and measurement points tell me how to create them with function-modules or by changing database tables?
I'm happy about every hint and ready to give some reward points.
Best Regards,

Parameters and report on the same page
I am new to HTML_DB. I would appreciate your help with the following:
I have html page with items(parameters) and report on the same screen.
Items are:
Customer: Select list with Submit
Invoice No.: Select list - Populated invoices numbers for the selected customer
Department: Select List
Prod Month: Date Picker
Button: Report View.
Users can select any of the above parameter to create a report. The problem is when I don't select any customer and just select the department or prod month and click on a Report View button, I get SQL error in the Invoice Number item.
It seems when the page refreshes to create a report Invoice Number items sql query is executing but when it does not find the customer name, its giving the error.
If I select a customer name, the page gets refreshed and the report is generated. I dont want to create a report when they select a customer. I want them to select the parameters and click on the Report View button to create the report on the same page.
Thank you.
Regards,
RekSounds like you are building the query string and submitting that and the fact that they leave something out messes up that string...<br><br>If that's the case, you can add validations to the page to make sure they enter in all the appropriate information.<br><br>
