Power Support Crystal Film for original iPhone on iPhone 3G?

I bought a Power Support Crystal Film set for my original iPhone last year. The package comes with two screen films. I've only used one and have one left. Do these screen films also fit on the iPhone 3G?

I used an older iPhone film on my 3G and while it will work fine, you can definitely notice it because it just doesn't quite fit. With a close fit, the film blends right in so with the 3G it doesn't. I opting to wait for 3G-specific films.

  • Problem Using Power Support Crystal Film Cover (OT??)

Sorry if this is OT but I couldn't find any other categories it might fall under.
I got my iPod a few months ago along with the Power Support crystal film cover. I totally love it except for the 3D clickwheel cover. Since Day 1, it has not stayed on the clickwheel. I've cleaned both the clickwheel and the 3D film but it has never stayed on. It pops up (literally) when I press the button in the middle to select a song on my iPod.
Can someone please tell me how to make it stay on or if there is a way to clean it that'll make it stickier. The front and back covers work fine. Thanks a bunch!!

Apple is making the click wheel now, so the new material probably won't hold the plastic cover. Mine won't stick either.

    Hi,
Will the power support crystal support film for the iPhone 4 fit the 4s?

  • Is there any necessary to film for an iphone 4?

is there any necessary to film for an iphone 4?

Are you talking about a film cover for the front glass? If so, no, it's not necessary, however many users prefer to use one. I like the anti-glare films like this:

Ah, I understand. Good luck, then. I must confess that I do not believe that some guy who works in an Apple store has powers any more magical than mine... BUT would Ford install some third party accessory into a car for you and give you a guaranteed result?
Sorry - I do not believe you can depend on Apple or their retail staff to install a third party skin, if you cannot do it yourself. Why should they? What is their reward?
Dunno, but an Apple guy put the Power Support shield on my iP3G (which I bought at ATT not Apple) and he did a great job. I realize it's like a $15 purchase, but he did it.....

  • Sgp oleophobic vs power support crystal screen protectors...

Ok ive had power support since thevery first iPhone came out...ive also used theanti-glare in certain times...ive also used body guardz and zagg...
Now i have a zagg full body minus the screen sheild inside the apple bumper for my iphone 4...
I already have the power crystal film on it...but i saw a screen protector with an oleophobic coating made by SGP...but then Power Support said their hard coat resists fingerprints too...
Do both of them have oleophobic coating then?

Ok...i recieved my sgp oleophobic protector...easy install like the power support...look somewhat clearer...after installing and removing the protective cover from the front of the protector...it felt like sliding your fingers on plastic wrap...it was not smooth...until i moistened the lint free cloth wipedit a bit...now it smooth as glass...i guess it had some left over sticky residue...now i can say its a bit better than power support...
This thing feels like the iphone screen, the power support felt plasticy a bit...plus i got the same oleophobic coating on it...awesome!!!

  • Selling orignial iPhone, what to do with AppleCare for original iPhone?

    Hi:
I recently received a new original iPhone as a replacement and also purchased the AppleCare for an additional year of warranty in case I have the same problem on this new iPhone (the home button stopped working). So now I am considering getting the 3G and selling this new 1st gen iPhone. What can I do with the AppleCare I have?
    1) Move it it the new phone?
    2) transfer it to the old phone new owner?
    3) all or non of the above?
    Thanks,
    mn3

You can look this up on Apple's web site.
"If you choose to sell or give away your Apple product, you can also transfer the ownership of the AppleCare Protection Plan. Please see the AppleCare Protection Plan Terms and Conditions for complete details."

  • What is Apple's policy on replacements for original iPhones?

I have had an original iPhone since about six months after they came out (8GB). I use it as a daily phone, but after six years, I was hoping to have it replaced (and pay out of pocket). Anyone know the costs of purchasing one from Apple? It was offered a while back, but I never took them up on it.
Screen cracked in the bottom right corner, mute switch stuck, aluminum dinged, and scratched plastic.

  • Use for Original iPhone

I bought an iPhone 4 and now have an original iPhone gathering dust.
A friend is thinking of getting an iPod Touch and using Skype or some other VOIP system and giving up her cell phone. She has a fear of cellular radiation and she's looking to cut her phone bill.
I offered her my original iPhone to give it a try. Personally I don't think skype alone on an iPod Touch will satisfy her phone needs, and trying it out on my old iPhone would prove/disprove my theory.
What if anything do I need to do to make the old iPhone useable for her? Do I pull the chip out or leave it in?
What's the latest iOS the original iPhone can use?

Group 2B, in which the WHO categorizes EMF as "possibly carcinogenic", also includes things such as orange oil, pickled vegetables, talc-based body powder, titanium dioxide (recommended by many medical organiations as a safer sun block), nickel (the metal), and coffee. Rather a "catch-all" of possibilities, and while not to be dismissed, not exactly a damming statement. If you read the full monograph, it says:
"The evidence was reviewed critically, and overall evaluated as being limited among users of wireless telephones for glioma and acoustic neuroma, and inadequate to draw conclusions for other types of cancers. "
The conclusion means that there could be some risk, and therefore we need to keep a close watch for a link between cell phones and cancer risk."
This WHO statement is therefore only a statement of concern and a call for additional study, not a definite statement that cellphone use causes cancer.
It's certainly her choice what risks she wishes to avoid. We all make such choices regularly, about all sorts of risks. But an iPod touch is not likely to be much less of a risk, if any, that a cellphone,

  • Video app for original iPhone?

Is there any chance of a legit video camera app for the original iPhone? We know the hardware can handle it, because of the multiple jailbreak apps. How about it? PLease?

    http://cache.saurik.com/cycorder.mov
The video on my original iPhone is perfectly acceptable (see above), certainly better than any other phone i've had. it is a shame that Cycorder is not available through the App store so that more people can easily install it.

  • Power Support Crystal Shield is AWESOME

Got my PowerSupport Crystal Shield in the mail today - it is 100 times better material than the invisibleSHIELD. No orange peel textured look, no glue, no water.
Easy, easy, easy to apply. And also extremely simple to remove and re-apply if need be.
PowerSupport is CRYSTAL clear and VERY shiny, just like the normal nano surface. Can NOT tell it is on there when applied properly.
Some installation advice - the shield itself come on a clear piece of plastic that the shield will not adhere to. This clear protector for the protector is the perfect tool to apply, remove, and re-apply the real shield if need be. It's the right thickness to get under the shield - the instructions mention using cellophane tape to remove the shield - it's MUCH easier to use the clear plastic they ship with it to get under the shield and pull it back up!

Sure - here are some pics! I tried to take these so people could see how reflective and clear the PowerSupport film is...

Note on these : in the image of the back - the texture you see in the metal is the reflection from the ceiling - IT'S THAT CLEAR AND SHINY.

  • HT204387 Does any one know if the bluetooth MAP (Message Access Profile) is supported in IOS6 for the Iphone 3GS ?

I have heard that this is now supported and that this will allow me to push the notifications to my BMW and to send SMS through BMW ConnectedDrive.

    Allan,
    Here is the link:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1578 (bottom of page)
As stated below support for Bluetooth MAP in 4S and 5 is not the discussion. Is that the page seems outdated.
The issue is whether ios6 supports this feature in the 3 GS.

  • Gps module for original iphone

Is there, or will there be, a gps thing that can be plugged into the bottom of the 1st gen iphone to allow gps functionality?

Probably not. Certainly there is not one available now, and since the iPhone 3G is out with GPS built in, it's doubtful there's much incentive for vendors to develop one.

  • Anyone used PowerSupports crystal film for nano?

    http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/72101/wo/Tw2qa9P PguIK3rDTqa219fNmTMp/1.SLID?mco=580B06DA&nplm=TF270LL%2FA
Anyone have this for their nano? How do you like it? And I was wondering if they cover the whole Ipod nano not just the screen and wheel. Please post your opinions. Thanks.

Yes I am very happy with it. Easy to put on and re-apply if necessary. Just some air bubbles on the click wheel cover but this doesn't bother me since I also am using a zCover case. The film is great because it doesn't mar the finish of the nano when I take it out of the zCover and put in the armband.
