Powerbook G4 mouse button won't work

My wife has a titanium powerbook g4 and she has been having problems with the mouse button on the laptop. You have to push it just right to get it to work, if you are lucky. I wasn't sure if I could clean the button or if anyone has had this issue and had to replace it.

Try this - Reset the trackpad by placing your entire palm directly onto the whole trackpad for 3 to 4 seconds, and then remove your hand from the trackpad in one smooth motion.

Right click as primary mouse button won't work

Here's my problem...
I go into system preferences / keyboard & mouse and click on "Right" under "Primary mouse button:".
Then I close system preferences, but my right click isn't set as my main click (the contextual menu keeps popping up).
So I re-open system prefs / keyboard & mouse and notice that "Primary mouse button" is set to left again, so I click on "Right" again, close system prefs.
The same thing happens again:(
I tossed preferences for keyboard & mouse, repaired permissions, restarted...no dice. I'm on a powerbook g4 osx 10.4.7 & it's a logitech mouse (logitech's latest driver is bunk..I had it installed previously but uninstalled because the same thing was happening).
The thing that bugs me is that i have an imac at work w/ 10.4.7 and it works fine with the same mouse!

I'm using a logiech mouse w/ left & right click buttons. It's possible that if you're not using a 2 button mouse, "Right" does not appear in the Keyboard & Mouse system pref.
I'm trying to make the actual right mouse button on my mouse my main click & make the left mouse button my right click. Basically I want to reverse the mouse buttons.
About the test user account...if it does work correctly in the new account, how can I make it work in my main account?

I'm on Firefox 3.6.21, and I got this problem today after a Greasemonkey update (To version 0.9.10, apparently).
Disabling Greasemonkey solved the problem, and re-enabling it reproduced the problem (middle-clicking links to open in new tab did not work, merely highlighted the link).
I should also note that while Greasemonkey was enabled and the bug was affecting me, Ctrl+Click to open links in new tabs was also broken.

EDIT: It appears this is a known incompatibility/conflict bug between current versions of Greasemonkey and Tab Mix Plus. Read more here:

EDIT 2: GREASEMONKEY HAS NOW BEEN UPDATED with a workaround to fix the problem. Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/versions/ to install the update manually. Back & forward buttons won't work after going full screen

I have a Logitech cordless mouse. When ever I'm watching a
video, like on You Tube, and I go to full screen, my mouse
back/forward buttons won't work, and I have to re boot my computer.
I have tried every thing Logitech told me to do, but still have the
problem. They think it's a flash player problem. I saw that one
other person in the forums has the same problem. Any ideas?

I can't find the preferences section of itunes. where is it because it isn't at the very top of the screen and I didn't see it anywhere else. i hasn't told me that the back-up is corrupted so I don't know about that. I just know that it always comes up with the error message 50 when I try to get the back-up restored to it.

Vertical scrolling with TrackPoint's middle button won't work on MS Word

Question:
I have a T42 ThinkPad and the vertical scrolling with TrackPoint's middle button won't work on MS Word and therefore not in my email either. Big pain in butt as I'm so used to using it. Are there any patches that fix that? Any ideas on why it won't work?

It's really weird. My suggestion would be that you install the most up-to-date driver by direct downloading or via System Update (if you haven't updated the driver).

Portal Content Studio - mouse button does not work anymore

if you use the portal content studio
content-administration > portal-content
you can configure the portal objects by browsing them and clicking the right mouse button.
That worked but now the mouse button doesn't work - left mouse button works as expected (with left mouse button one can navigate through the objects, iViews, working sets, etc...).
Right mouse button does nothing, portal objects could not be edited. Of course, the mouse is Ok.
Is this strange error known?
How to avoid it?
Is there a possibility to reset this application, so it restarts/re-initializes correctly?
Even a restart of SAP NetWeaver didn't help.
Or can one use another method to perform an action instead of the right mouse button?

I am using a 24 inch imac and the problem is suddenly my mouse can not click to anything left, right or the middle mouse button does not work i can see cursor moving and i can use the features of the keyboard but my mouse dies. I tried to plug in another mouse magic trackpad and my tablet but each has the same problem. I can not click to anything but cursor is moving and computer is not frozen. I have to shut it off from the power button when this happens. Do you have any idea what can cause this and how can i fix this?
