Powerbook won't accept password after OS upgrade

My G4 powerbook hard drive started going bad, so I had the local Apple store put in a new one and upgrade the OS at the same time. The store did the data recovery.
When I now try to connect to my home wireless network, the computer recognizes the access point and asks for the password. When I try to enter the password, I get an error that indicates I am not typing in the correct password. Password has NOT changed since the access point was created. The password was previously stored on the computer, but all stored passwords were lost when the data was restored to the new hard drive.
Any suggestions?

If this wireless access point you are trying to connect to is yours, then I would go into the router and reset the password or change is. You can also perform a hard reset on the router so that you can connect to the network.

IMac won't accept password after time machine restore

Restored 2009 IMac after an HD replacement by Apple. All proceeded smoothly until IMac wouldn't accept my password after the restore from Time Machine. Any ideas will be appreciated.

One thing to try, if you didn't already do this, is to reinstall OS X and use Setup Assistant (which is only available at first boot of a new HD or a reinstalled OS) to migrate your data. A full Time Machine restoration on a new HD can have file permissions problems and/or duplicate User Account problems if Setup Assistant is not used.

Won't accept password after updating software

I recently purchased a McBook Air. It is set up so I don't have to enter my password
everytime I open it up. Today I got notice of a software update for Lion which I downloaded.
Since then I get asked for my password, but it isn't accepting it. It gives the hint for the

Lion Server Won't Accept Password After New Motherboard Installed

We got a mac mini with Lion Server installed on it. The motherboard went bad so we took it back, and they put in the new motherboard. We couldn't log into the computer after that for some reason so we reinstalled it using the Time Machine backup we had (running from the other drive). Then we were able to log in using our admin password. Now the connecct to server won't work, even though we're trying to connect to ourselves, which should us the admin password. We deleted all the keychain passwords but to no avail.
Thoughts?

We had to reinstall the software (using cmd-r when booting up) and then reload everything. That fixed it.

Aperture 2.1 won't accept pics after OS upgrade to 10.6.7

I recently upgraded my Mac to OS 10.6.7. Now Aperture 2.1 won't read all my picture from my camera card - only the first few. I get a message saying I did not eject the card properly - but I didn't eject it! Is this an upgrade problem? Will upgrade to Aperture 3 solve this? Any advice is appreciated.

Won't accept password after equipment swap

Hello - My 1TB Time Capsule blew it's WAN port. Before taking it back to Apple I backed up the config. Apple replaced the device and I took it home and imported the config file and everything came up fine. Except, Time Machine won't work. I went through the normal setup (even though nothing changed) and selected the disk and entered my password. When it goes to do a back up though, it says my password doesn't match. I know it's right but as a just in case, I went back to the TimeCapsule and re-entered my password. Then I went back to TimeMachine and it still gives me the wrong password error. So, right now, every time it goes to backup, I get a failure note due to password.
Anyone have a tip here?

Can't get email address for printer won't accept password

Went to eprint center to register printer, worked fine,but when we tried to give printer email address so we can email to printer from remote locations won't accept password no matter what itry

MasterBinker, have you tried using the Forgot Password link in the sign in page for ePrintCenter? This should send a new password to the email address.
You may also want to try using a different web browser.

Won't accept password when waking from sleep.

a client of mine is having an issue where her mac won't accept her password after waking from sleep. The same password works when she restarts. She has confirmed that caps lock is off. Any Ideas?
I left her a message trying to find out more details about her computer like OS version and stuff. Will update this when i hear from her.

She still hasn't returned my call, but i know that she is able to type. Whether its wifi keyboard or not I do not know.

Wifi won't accept password

IPhone connects to home wifi easily; iPad suddenly won't - no changes were made from yesterday, so..? Already tried hard reboot on iPad, unplugging wifi box from power source, set to WPA, putting in name of network/password - all over and over. No wifi connection. Then changed home wifi channel back to 6. Did all previous steps again, still no go. Name of home wifi shows up every time on iPad..but when it asks for password, it won't accept it to make a connection. iPhone still connects and stays connected easily. Infuriating, Apple. (newer retina iPad)

My ipad and iphone suddenly stopped recognizing wifi password after returning from holiday.
This worked for me:
Settings>Wifi>click on your Network >click on right arrow to right of name>Forget this network>Forget> click back to settings>wifi.
Your network name should still be there. Click on it and re-enter your password. Bingo!

and after the upgrade was successful i changed the password of SAPABT (sapowner)

My Canon MP180 scanner won't be recognized after Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) upgrade: neither in Image Capture nor in MP180 standalone app.
The printer works well though.

I asked Canon support and got the answer that OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) was not supported.
I am kindly being suggested either to downgrade from 10.9 or to buy another scanner. Cool.

Windows 8 Won't Accept Password

Bought new Windows 8 computer. I didn't like it, so gave it to my husband who reset with his user account and password. After working perfectly fine, all of the sudden wouldn't accept password. Although KNEW the password, went through process to reset Microsoft
password. Nothing. More reading. Started in Safe Mode (after LOTS more reading). Nothing. After lots and lots and lots of more reading, finally was able to use the command prompt feature and create a new password. It worked! Turned machine on and off several
times to make sure password was fine.
All okay until let daughter use the computer. After successfully using the computer and password several times, she turned it on, typed in the password when requested and it wouldn't accept it. She called us to verify password she was using was correct.
It was. Finally, after about the 4th-5th attempt, it accepted the password.
What is happening and why? What can we do to keep this from happening again?
We don't have a back-up disc, and obviously, many "fixes" cannot be used because we can't log-in to the machine to use them. This is really frustrating and certainly makes us wish we had spent more money and purchased a machine with "a different
operating system."

For this problem, it's hard to verify why this thing happen. Gererally speaking, it can be caused by User Profile crash. The workaround method is belows:
Use SFC /scannow command to fix system file.
Create a new account for test.

I'd call support but new phone's serial number not available.

But when I went online again, the apple site suddenly knew about my phone and showed me my serial number (probably because I bought applecare)
