You need to upgrade to Mac OS 10.5, which you can get by calling Apple Online store (click on Store at top of this page) and asking for a product specialist. Tell them you have a PowerPC Mac and new iPod touch and need 10.5 to use it.

No. If your MacBook has an Intel processor you can update to OSX 10.6.8 and then install the latest iTunes.

Create a NEW account using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

thanks Razmee...I wasnt aware of this. For some reason I thought it was all backed up in itunes and sitting somewhere in the cloud, not on a hard drive. All fields should go on the notification header. There are no custom fields on the task or activity level.

ITunes will not load--says I need new version of Quick Time

I've used iTunes for a year and downloaded the new software 7.01--it will not run, says I need to install new version of Quick time. I removed all versions of iTunes off my computer and reinstalled iTunes with same result--Need to install new version of Quick Time. I did this and Quick time said--Can't install because a more current version of Quick time is already installed. Catch 22? Is this a do loop of apple frustration or what? Any ideas would be appreciated.

i can take pictures off my phone but thats it, i have some nice programs for pictures and art work and cant get them back on my phone to send them to friends and family. I got an error message with updating my iTunes and now its saying I need to re-install iTunes. How do I do that

When I was prompted there was an update on iTunes I did as usual and began installing the update. Something happened during that time and I got an error saying it didn't download correctly. Now when I go to open iTunes it gives me an error message and says I need to re-install the program. I'm not sure how to do that. I am also concerned that I will lose all of the things that I have backed up from my phones, purchases, apps, etc. Can anyone please give me some insight on what to do?

check and make sure you firewall and antivirus is turned off during installation because it will block it from downlaoding.

Itunes won't launch says I need windows 2000 or higher: I have XP

When I upgraded to Itunes 7 it installed, but when I try to launch I get a message saying I need Windows 2000 or higher to run quicktime. I have Windows XP.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Itunes and Quicktime twice now, and I still get the same message.
Since I have a newer operating system than 2000 I am at a loss.

We are trying to purchase TV shows in iTunes - it says we need to upgrade to iTunes9
We upgrade to iTunes9 - then it says we need to upgrade Safari to 4
We try to upgrade to Safari4 - then it says we need Mac OS 10.5
Mac 10.5 is chargeable product! $199 for the Mac Box !!

All we want to do is pay and download a tv show in iTunes from Apple ..... and now they are seemingly screwing us for an OS upgrade just to do this !!
Even when I uninstall iTunes9 .... and reinstall iTunes8 .... yes iTunes works, but I still can't download anything!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
