PowerPivot and local copy of Data

Is it possible to use PowerPivot without creating local copies of SQL data? In that ("attached" or "linked") mode, users can only see data if they are authorized on the SQL side. Any other
party receiving the XLSX will simply be starring at a blank screen as they cannot access the SQL Server.

this is not supported. Role based security can be setup just on server models (Multidimensional, and tabular). In PowerPivot integrated with SharePoint you can control access to whole workbooks, but not to data available. If you enable workbook all data
in workbook are available.
Then it depends on how granular rights you need to setup, or character of the data. Either you could create multiple workbooks with different data or use rather excel connected to server model, that supports role based security. You
could use Excel services and publish excel connected to multidimensional or tabular model

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am trying to achieve a behaviour of firefox 22 under Ubuntu 13.04 Linux that has to do with forms/submit.
The result I want to achieve is to have a copy filed for each registration form, personal information provided like job application forms done on websites with multi step submit/apply button at the end.
The copy "bill" I am after would simply be adding on a scroll the screenshot for the webpage(including scrolling areas) to a localcopy.
The idea is to look for words like "register", "Address" "Job", "Application" on the page where a form/submit has been detected and simply compound save all displayed steps with data inserted by me.
For me a lot of this makes sense since prior to for example sending mails or letters by post I file a local copy for my reference ect. This would be an electronic equivelent of it.Saving tremendous energy and time compared to manually saving each step and then looking for a way to name/organise and "collage" all the bits into one receit/bill/scroll.
How can I modify or achieve this behaviour on Firefox 22 under Ubuntu?
I have installed addons like InFormEnter, SessionManager iMacros Lastpass...
an arrow/menu started similar to InFormEnter near a submit button as a method to confirm a loacl copy prior to sending would be ideal.

Local Copy of Third Party Data

There has been a serious proformance issue with a web application we are releasing soon. The problem is that we are displaying some third party data ( stock rates of each day) taken from some other sites. This is making the application remarkably slow, as the rates need to be displayed in more than one pages.
Is there anyway to keep local copy of such data, or any other way to enhance performance?

It is difficult to overemphasize Roger's advice in his last sentence. I've owned all manner of Apple gear over the years and have been incredibly lucky - I never quite got over the "remove from box, connect pieces, turn on" mantra from the early days, even as the process got more and more complicated. And even though I am now retired, I was an IT professional who knew almost innately that the key to keeping things going was to have an adequate backup strategy. Yet at home I basically trusted that my various and sundry disk drives would somehow take care of themselves well enough to not need to be backed up. All of that went well (except for some bumps during the cutover to MobileMe) until this past Friday, when I somehow managed to screwup a sync process and watched in horror as my calendars slowly disappeared from iCal. Thank God for the upcoming iCloud - I had just make a disk image of my entire laptop in preparation for cutting to iCloud from MM and so could retrieve the calendars from there. It took me a while to figure out that I couldn't just copy the Calendars folder out of the disk image and expect to be back on the air. Thanks to the patience of one MadisonP, who provided a detailed procedure for recovery, I'm now back to business with a BIG lesson learned. I've probably got too many calendars and so the backup (export) of of the total bunch seemed like a daunting task, but it beats missing important appointments that you can't remember after your calendar bites the dust.

2006 iMac running 10.4 OS. I copied files to ext. drive. Put in 10.6 disc and did a clean install (format) of 10.6. Copied data from ext. drive back to Mac. I didn't get all the files. CAN I REVERT BACK TO THE 10.4 OS SO I CAN COPY MY DATA PROPERLY?

How did you copy files to the external drive, and what files did you copy? Did you drag and drop in the Finder? Use a clone utility? What files did not successfully copy?
If you reformatted the drive as part of your install, then you won't be able to recover any files from the drive. Reverting back to (reinstalling) 10.4 will not help you.
Do you have a complete-drive backup of your old system?

How can I copy the date and time of a received email in Mountain Lion?

I recently installed the new Mountain Lion, however I am having a serious issue with the mail application. I use the mail application to download all of my emails and then I copy each one in to a Filemaker Database. I used to be able to copy the headers (from, to, subject, date, time) but now with the new mail in Mountain Lion it will not let me copy the date and time of the email. This is the most important part for me as I need to be able to track when the email was received once I have pasted it in to the Filemaker program. Anyone know if there us an option so that the date and time can be copied from the email?

That is the disk cache of Firefox, where contents of loaded pages are kept for faster retrieval and it also helps to conserve bandwidth. In Web Intelligence Rich Client, we can have Data Source Selection which is Universe and Local Data Source. But for Web Intelligence/InfoView, we can only select universe, or maybe canu2026 I need to explore more but still could not find it.

Copy financial data and documents into a new version

Hello,
Does anybody know whether is possible to copy from one version into a new one all financial data
(including all posting levels) as well as all documents (including all posting levels).
There is a copy task where it is possible to copy financial data and documents, but the system only takes into consideration indivual values, not consolidated values.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility.
