Powerpoint animation issue

I'm losing animation on numbers that I have coming in at bookmarked places in a slide. I return to a home page and return to the slide no problem but if I return to homepage then a different slide, then home page and the initial slide...the animated numbers
won't work. I believe (I guess) the page hasn't reloaded...but all the fixes I have seen for this problem I can't get to work with 2013. 1) they say add a blank slide before the problem slide and set the transition time to zero (well it won't let me set the
transition time to zero...lowest it goes is 1 second...maybe thats why it won't fix the problem 2) install a macro to fix the problem...I have no idea how to actually do that? I've been trying to remedy this for weeks now...so if anyone can please please help...please
do!
Thanks
Sue

  • Powerpoint Animations

My Powerpoint animations (gif animations and other) di not play in Captivate. Any ideas please?

    Hi there,
Which version of Captivate and Power point do you have and which operating system is it?
Which format of Power point did you import? Did you check "Hi-fidelity" option during import (only in case of .PPTX and .PPSX)
    Thanks.

  • CR for VS2010 - Progress animation issue

    Hi,
We are in the software business for years.Till last year, our software was windows application. Now we are releasing the web interface for it. In our windows application we use crystal report for reporting. We have registered license for crystal 8.5 and 11. Now for the web, we are planning to use the same crystal features.
We downloaded CR for VS2010 and we changed configuration and everything. We tried to launch a report without parameters, it is working fine. When we trying to run a report with parameter it will show parameter popup and after giving parameter values when we press OK button it will show a progress animator and it will not close. This is what happening while pressing Next and Previous button. For Export button it is not showing any progress animation and it is working fine.
    NB:
    1.   We are developing reports using CR 11. The same report we are using for our Windows application and web application.
    2.   Our windows application is developed in VDF and front end and SQL server as backend. We are using CR 11 SDK in windows application. It is working fine.
    3.   Our web application is developed in VS2010, SQL server and CR4VS2010, which is showing progress animation issue as mentioned above.
    4.   We changed CR2VS2010 to CRXIR2 for VS2005 it was working fine. We have issue only with CR4VS2010.
We are about to release our web application soon, so before releasing we want to buy the redistribution license for CR4VS2010 if there is any solution for this issue otherwise we need to think about CRXIR2.
    Thanks

    Hi Ludek,
As you mentioned I created a sample web application, it is working fine.
But when I change the code as below it will show the problem.
    CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument doc = new CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument();
    doc.Load("C:\Program Files\.......\Report1.rpt");
    this.CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = doc;
    Response.Write("Ok");
While debugging I found the last statement Response.Write("Ok"); is causing the issue. If we remove that statement and run it will work fine.
In our actual program we have created a class by inheriting ReportDocument and we are doing all the actions like assigning SelectionFormula, setting Database connection, dynamically assign values for some formula fields in the reports. (These all are part of customisation of our CrystalLayer). Just for a debugging purpose we put a Response.Write in our CrystalLayer class. That caused the issue. Now we removed it and it is working fine.
NB: This issue was not there in CRXIR2. I think the progress animation is using some javascript and the Response.Write we are using in our program not allowing that animation to stop.
    Thanks

  • Captivate 6 Created from PowerPoint - flicker issue

I am using Adobe Captivate 6.0.1.240, and my employer (State of Idaho) is working out the details with Adobe of paying for subscription service to the eLearning Suite.
However, right now I am finishing a project that was imported from PowerPoint 2010, and I have the flicker happening at the beginnings of any slides with animation.
I understand that a patch is available for subscription customers that would fix this issue and bring my version to Captivate 6.1.0.319.
Is there any way that I can get a fix to this problem in advance?
Having the users click “next” on each slide is not a good solution in this course. I really want the users to have the TOC available (which they will not if I have to import my audio to PPT and save it as a .wmv). And I will be hard-pressed to recreate the project in Captivate before the go-live date.
I have to say that the only reason this was created in PowerPoint to begin with is that we anticipated delivering it live via webinar and a last-minute decision has me converting it to eLearning.
    Thank you,

  • Powerpoint animations pausing in Captivate 7

I am importing a .pptx powerpoint to Captivate 7.  This powerpoint contains animations that are timed with narration, which has been added after the powerpoint had been imported.  However, the animations seem to pause or "get stuck" at the same points each time.
The animations had been added after importing, and I have also tried to create a new project with the new powerpoint file that contained the animations.  Powerpoint has also been imported using high fidelity, imported with slides to proceed on click, and imported a different time in a new project with slides to proceed automatically.  Animations in powerpoint are set to play automatically (after previous instead of on click) and work fine in powerpoint.  Audio has been added and removed to see if the audio was an issue.  I have previewed (F4) the project and published to an .exe file to test, but nothing seems to work - the animations continue to pause mid-animation each time.  However, the animations seem to work when previewing just the individual slide (F3)
Any thoughts or suggestions why this is happening?
    Thanks!
    Diana

    Hello!
I have the animations set to "with previous" - I have also tried "after previous":
Here is the timeline in Captivate:
I have also tried to create a separate slide within Captivate and add animations and effects there, but these pause mid-animation as well.
    Thanks!

  • Importing and editing PowerPoint (animations) in Captivate 5

    <banging head on desk> <and cursing>
I started my Captivate by importing a PowerPoint slide show. I've added audio and am doing most of the animation in PowerPoint since it's lots of bullets and some charts and things. I thought it'd be easier to manage this way and wanted to see how it all works since I'm new to version 5 of Captivate.
So I edit the PowerPoint, go back to Captivate, update the presentation and it seems to be working okay. Then I thought I'd try something different ... what if I edit just the slide so I don't have to wait for the entire thing to update?
    IT WRECKED MY ANIMATION. (waaa!)
I spent a lot of time getting the animation perfect and the edit I made is the only thing now animated, the rest shows up as a group.
    Did I do something wrong?
Is there a preferred way to work with Captivate and PPT together? Is it a crazy idea I have that I'm wanting to control the animation in PowerPoint?
Captivate doesn't have the control of working with paragraph level animation, does it?
    Thanks,
    Jo

    Hi Jo,
Do I understand it all right: your issue was originated when you tried to edit one slide with the roundtripping from Captivate to Powerpoint? What is indicated in the Library besides the Presentation? Which version of PPT are you using?
I prefer myself to have everything in Captivate, because imported PPT-animations are just FMR and editing in CP is cumbersome.  But the roundtripping is there to be used of course and should work. I hope that your CP-version is up to date?
A bulleted animated list could also be spread on different slides if you do not want the workaround with different Text Captions.

  • Safari - Animated GIF not Animating Issue

I am frequenting site and have noticed animated gifs not animating properly on this page. The site is http://www.woot.com
    Problem Detail:
There are two "whirly lights" on each side of a progress bar under the item currently for sale. The left light starts to animate while the page is loading but stops while the right light continues its animation.
This particular site may usually only uses these images every once in a while so if no one checks this in the next couple days the images will no longer be there. I created a web archive the site which I could send if this page does go away. The issue does not happen in Firefox or Internet Explorer.

Hi and Welcome to Apple Discussions
I get the same effect as you in Safari. Loaded with no problem in Firefox. Page does have coding errors, which can lead to inaccuracies in how the page is rendered. Safari is much more strict about correct coding than Firefox, adhering to web standards set out by Web Standards Project.

  • CP6 Powerpoint animations NOT workin in HTML5

I have imported my powerpoint in to cp6.  I have embedded animations in the ppt file. WHen I publish to PDF or flash, the animations play nicely. When I publish to HTML5, they don't play at all. If I import without hi fidelity, then the screens are blank of the animated material. If I import WITH hifidelity, then all of the object are present at the beginnin of the slide instead of fading in/out as set on the ppt timeline.
    Help!
Client is NOT going to be happy
    Lori

    Hi Lori,
Can you check if the Preview in HTML5 Borwser option works correctly as expected or not?
Also, double check if the Powerpoint presentation is in sync (green) in library.
Can you check with a sample ppt as well with hi-fidelity and Slide duration -- checked and add few animations.

  • Full res retina iPad and Edge Animation issues

OK So I have been building folios for the new iPad (retnia) and the only way I can get a full page animation built in edge to work is to build it on a stage that is half res (1024x768). If I build a full screen edge animation (2048x1536) it just shows a blank screen on that page on the iPad. Anyone have any tips on this? The folio is built at 2048x1536. So when i place a 1024x768 oam file I have to stretch it and use "scale to fit". Although the animation works like this it is not as pretty as the full res pages that follow. Ideas?

Alright. So I did a bunch of testing. Good news is that text created in indesign looks identical in quality regardless of if the indesign file is 1024 or 2048 when using PDF as the folio format. Bad news is that images (i.e. placed psd files) look not as great. Definantly better than when i was trying to upscale in folio Automatic from 1024 to 2048 but not as good as a indesign file created at 2048.
Wish there was a way to solve the image quality issue. Oh and of course all the Edge animations work like a charm using PDF and 1024. They still are not as sharp or high quality as Edge animations built at 2048 but at least they work.

  • Timing PowerPoint Animations

I've just imported a PowerPoint presentation into Captivate
    3. Most of the 25 slides have bullet-point advances and other
animations built in to them. The live presenter advances the
animations manually, as she talks to the slides. I've got her voice
recorded, and want to trigger the animations in time with the
audio. Does Cap 3 allow me to do this? It doesn't seem so.
    thanks!

Hi guys! My apologies for not responding - when I first
posted, I forgot to "Subscribe" to this topic, so I wasn't getting
any notification of your posts. With that out of the way, I DID
misunderstand the original question. So to avoid having too much
egg on my face, I started experimenting to see if I could actually
accomplish this ... and yes, it can be done.
The question is actually "How do we pause and restart an
animation object?" (to sync it with the audio on that slide). The
answer is in duplicating the click-box on that slide. Let's see if
I can put it into steps for you:
    ================================================
With the audio inserted, and the PPT animation object on the
    slide ...
    1) Click the slide preview button (below and to the left of
    the timeline)
    or ...
1a) Grab the slide Playhead (the red bar) and "scrub" the
    timeline
1b) If it's not visible, click the top of the time-line on
    the "seconds" bar
    2) Watch/Listen for the point you need to insert a stop, and
    "Pause" there
    3) Insert a new click-box at that point on the time-line
(and stop the 1st one here)
    4) Continue from that point, once again pausing when
    required by audio
4a) or watch the bullets as they appear and sync to that if
    you wish
    5) Again, insert another new click-box at that point
(stopping the prior one at the same time-line point)
    ================================================
Continue as required. There is some work involved, but if you
play with this a little, you'll find that it can be done easily and
accurately. The trick is as simple as stopping playback with
multiple click-boxes at the points you want to pause. When done,
you will as many click-boxes as you have bullets or other
transitions on the slide; just be sure none of the click-boxes
    overlap.
This is an answer to a different problem than I originally
thought, but I hope it it helpful. Again, I apologize for not
"subscribing" to the topic after my original reply. Usually I do
that with every post, but "stuff happens".
    Ciao ~

  • Powerpoint 2013 - Issues opening presentations from earlier versions

When opening a presentation created in a previous version of powerpoint I get a message saying:
"Powerpoint Found a problem with Content in <document> Powerpoint can attempt to repaire the presentation"
If you click repair you then get a message saying the file couldn't be replaired.
Now this is documented in other threads and the solution is just to open the file properties when it's on your local system and then click "Unblock" at the bottom of the properties box.
This is very annoying especially if you receive multiple presentations daily. Is there any way you can set PP2013 to just open legacy documents?

I guess these pptx files are created by PowerPoint 2010. If so, try to install the following update in the machine with PowerPoint 2010 to avoid the issue happen again.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2598240/en-us
Another solution is set component security settings back to the defaults:
    1. Open Control Panel.
    2. Open Administrative Tools.
    3. Open Component Services and expand the tree under Console Root to
    Computers --> My Computer.
    4. Right-click My Computer and select Properties.
    5. Select the Default Properties tab and set the following values:
    Default Authentication Level: Connect
    Default Impersonation Level: Identify

  • Xcelsius powerpoint initializing issue

    Hello,
I have just upgraded to xceslius 2008 present from 4.5.  When I ran a .xlf file and exported it to powerpoint; as I have done in the past with 4.5 the preview function does not work until I run powerpoint in 'show mode', in the past the preview worked and did not have to initialize.  I have tried the SP1 upgrade with no resolution.  Any ideas?

I have a similar issue re: the .PPT initialization step with XCelsius Engage 2008. Like Pete, I upgraded from 4.5 to Engage. When exported from XCelsius to Powerpoint, the initialization process begins but it never ends, hence, yield no results. However, when press F5 or go to "showmode", it shows up.... Well, this is good only for real-time because when I saved it onto a PowerPoint file, it spits out a blank screen. No matter what I do in PowerPoint, the flash application would not appear. Can someone help me trouble shoot this? Thx in advance.

  • Powerpoint Display Issue

I am having an issue with BB 8830 World Edition and not displaying every powerpoint file.  Seems that files of 150Mb or smaller display just fine and I can not find anything that states this is an issue anywhere else.  It does not matter if you open for the email or download it to the BB.  Software versions are correct according to the Sys Admin manual and there are no limit restrictions...does or has any else started to see this?
Message Edited by mgingrich on 05-22-2008 12:10 PM

This is fine if what you want are two different screen views.  (laptop with presenter's notes and audience image with full screen slide), however, for those who want a duplicate image, it is a nuisance.  Not only does it affect what happens in
PowerPoint, but it also changes the default settings for the computer from duplicate to extended display.  I know there is an option in PowerPoint to change to duplicate display, but that doesn't fix the problem of PowerPoint changing the default for
    the computer.
    Please advise!
