PowerPoint background is white in Captivate 4

Hi,
I'm using a trial version of Captivate 4 and I'm trying to import a PowerPoint presentation, but when I do, all of the slides convert to a white background. None of the PowerPoint backgrounds were converted. This is a problem because the help info says it will convert PowerPoint presentations. Does anyone know if this is because I'm using a trial version?
Thanks.

Hi there
Nope, isn't an issue with the trial as it isn't crippled in any way, shape or form.

    After sleeping MacBook Pro 15.4" mid 2012 model (running Mac OS X 10.10.2 Yosemite) for overnight and pass 24 hours time, upon wake from sleep-- the dock background is white for a few seconds and then it turns back to the normal color.
    Is this normal? Should I be worried? Is my GPU defective?
    My specs:

    Thanks to all in advanced.

    It doesn't happen all the time but sometimes and i tried zapping the PRAM and it still happens!

  • Why is the Artboard background color white in June 2014 release?

    After opening Illustrator after the upgrade of the CC suite, the Artboard background is white like the artboard itself. So I can only see the borders of the Artboard when I am in Artboard edit mode. Is this a new feature? How can I reset the Artboard background to gray or black?

    It's funny because when I went back into Illustrator to make that change, it was back to a dark background. Thanks for the reply, though.

  • Spry Menu background is white in IE

    I've created a vertical Spry menu with submenus. The menu should not have a background color, so it should take the color of the image it's on top of. This looks fine on Safari (Mac) and Firefox (Mac/Windows), but on IE 8 (Windows), the menu background is WHITE. This makes it difficult to see the menu items. What can I do so that the menu background is transparent and does not show up white in IE?
    The site: http://chrysacupuncture.com
    I'm attaching index.html, my own css file, and the Spry css file.
    Thanks for your help.

    Actually, now that I look at it, I think one of your IE hacks might be malfunctioning:
    /* HACK FOR IE: to stabilize appearance of menu items; the slash in float is to keep IE 5.0 from parsing */
    @media screen, projection
         ul.MenuBarVertical li.MenuBarItemIE
              display: inline;
              f\loat: left;
              background: #FFF;
    This is the bottom-most item in your CSS file.  Notice the typo in the float:left and that it does indeed state a white background background:#FFF.  I don't usually put IE hacks external CSS, you might try moving it to the main HTML file and using IECC.  Place it in the header as you would if you had internal CSS:
    <!--[if IE 5]>
    <style type="text/css">
    ul.MenuBarVertical li.MenuBarItemIE
              display: inline;
              float: left;
    </style>
    <![endIf]-->
    I removed the background color altogether, but you may have to define one (I don't usually support IE5 so I'm not sure).
    If you insist on having this hack externally, you can try placing the background: transparent in the first item of your CSS:
    ul.MenuBarVertical
         margin: 0;
         padding: 0;
         list-style-type: none;
         font-size: 100%;
         cursor: default;
         width: 9em;
         padding-top: 80px;
         background: transparent;

  • Some PDF Files Shown with Black Background and White Text - Annoying

    Hi All,
    Recently some of my pdf documents, stored on my phone, are displayed with a black background and white text. This is quite annoying. A few weeks ago I didn't have this problem. All of my pdf documents had a white background with black text.
    I'm a new iPhone user without much experience with the device. I have the 4.3 version of the software and update when prompted. I use Files Pro, FileApp Pro and QuickOffice applications in conjunction with DiskAid.
    If there is something I can do to correct the situation, please let me know. If the problem is with Apple, they need to fix the situation. My phone, which used to be a great device for storing documents, has turned into an annoying bug.
    Thanks,
    Mike

  • Change menus to black background and white text (not invert colors option)?

    I have an iPhone 5 on the way to me as I got one for a very good price. I am visually impaired. I currently have a Samsung Galaxy s3 which is crapping out on me after having it for a long time). One of the features I love about it is, the menus (settings, contacts, etc etc) are in high contrast (black background with white text, which is much easier on my eyes and easier to read. It is my understandiing that the iPhone is not the same way. I had a friend look on his, and the only option he found was the "Invert colors" option. The reason I don't want to use that is because it inverts ALL colors for everything on the phone, including pictures. t just want to invert the colors in all the menus so I can read them easier. Is there any way to do this? BTW it's running IOS 8.

    the invert colors option is the only way to achieve that on iPhone currently
    you should go to http://www.apple.com/feedback/ and request that feature added, I think a lot of people would use that

  • Mail page now black background with white print and I cannot fix.

    Today when I signed on, my mail page is now black background with white letters and I cannot figure out how to change it back to what was there before -- black on white -- and cannot find anything in help on this problem.

    Some web pages give the user the option on page styles. For the rest of
    them,<BR><BR>
    Go to the
    '''''[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ Mozilla Add-ons Web Page]'''''
    (There’s a lot of good stuff here)
    and check out
    '''''[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/?src=external-Add-ons_Manager_Context_Menu-extension NoSquint]'''''.
    This add-on can override web page setting to give you control.

  • Black background and white letters?

    Lion 10.7.2 and iTunes 10.5 on a Mac Pro.
    Everything has been fine until this morning when all of a sudden my background has changed color to black and the characters are white. I don't know what I did to cause this. More importantly, I don't have a clue on how to go back to a white background and black characters.
    Thanks for any help.

    Tom,
    Thanks for the suggestion. However, while doing this does change the background on iTunes, it also flips the all the other windows to a black background and white characters. The only app that has the black background is iTunes, everything else is fine.

  • Flash CS5 problem: Movie Test - stage background goes white

    Hi everyone,
    I am having this problem where my stage background goes white upon movie testing and it doesn't matter if I've set the stage background to green, blue, etc.. However, when exported, everything seems to be fine. I've checked all configurations in my preference menu, but nothing from the settings is causing this. When I exported the file and play it on Flash Player 10, the background is black. Attached is a screenshot of the occurred problem. Could this be a bug or does anyone have a similar situation? Thanks!

    Thanks for the wonderful quick fix simPod_, I've deleted my mm.cfg file, but somehow this isn't permanent. It should do for now except the hassle of deleting the file and restarting flash. If anyone else have a permanent solution to this, I'll gladly appreciate any responses. Thanks!

  • JFrame background is white on Mac, grey on PC

    I have a program which uses a JFrame set to be in full-screen mode, using
    DisplayMode oldMode = device.getDisplayMode();
            this.setSize(new Dimension(oldMode.getWidth(), oldMode.getHeight()));
            this.validate();
            this.setUndecorated(true);
            this.setBackground(Color.white);
            this.setForeground(Color.white);
            device.setFullScreenWindow(this);I set the background to be white here, and in several other places in the code (e.g. just before a repaint() comand). However, while the background is white on the Mac I have been programming this on, it is always an ugly grey on PCs.
    The various JPanels in the JFrame, all of which are set to have white backgrounds and be opaque, do indeed have white backgrounds. They just hang there as white rectangles on a grey background.
    How can I get my JFrame's background to be white?
    Thanks!

    Are you setting the background of the content pane?
    If not, do that rather than the JFrame itself.Is the content pane the same as the JPanels I have content in? All the JPanels have white backgrounds, but they don't necessarily tessellate together, so you can see the grey JFrame behind them.
    I could possibly add a JPanel behind all the other panels, and set its background to be white, but it seems as if there ought to be some way to set the JFrame's background...
    If I set the JFrame's background to be black, this shows up on the Mac, but the PC just stays grey.

  • PDFs printing with black background and white text.

    For some reason some of our PDF's have been printing with black backgrounds and white text, even though they appear to be normal on the screen before they are printed. I haven't been able to confirm 100% yet but it appears to only be happening with pdfs that were created from scanned documents.
    Can somebody please offer me some suggestions.

    Absolutely agree with the original poster.  I find white text on black background so very very difficult (I changed from using Tweetbot on iOS to Tweetlogix for this very reason) and it physically hurts my eyes to try to read it.  I can just about manage with Spotify using white text on a black background on the large screen of my MacBook Pro - and I do mean "just" - but for the smaller screen of my iPhone 5 it is just impossible.  Even with a retina screen such as that on the iPhone 5S there is a strange ghosting effect and it gives me a headache to look at it for too long.
    This may be something to do with age!  I suspect most app developers are youngsters with almost perfect eyesight, but for those of us whose eyesight is less than perfect, this white text on black background really is so very difficult.
    I know there is a workaround in setting the iPhone to invert ALL colours (under Accessibility in Settings) but it's a real pain to have to keep altering this setting every time I want to open or close Spotify, and it doesn't look right anyway.  iOS7 is supposed to be a light, bright, easy to read OS - sadly this new Spotify app is the opposite of that.
    Please would Spotify consider adding a simple light or dark theme option, so that those of us who want it can have our much easier to read light background back again, with grey or black text?  It would be a great help to those of us who have eyesight problems.
    If not, I may have to cancel my Spotify Premium account and move to Deezer instead, as I mainly use Spotify when out and about in the car, so am using the iOS app a lot.
    Thank you for considering this plea!

  • Change background to white on headshot. new to iPhoto. thanks

    change background to white on headshot. new to iPhoto. thanks

    That's not a feature of iPhoto. You'll need an external editor for that kind of work:
    In order of price here are some suggestions:
    Seashore (free)
    The Gimp (free)
    Graphic Coverter ($45 approx)
    Acorn ($50 approx)
    Pixelmator ($50 approx)
    Photoshop Elements ($75 approx)
    There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store.
    You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

  • Why are my PDFs black background with white lettering?

    I cannot remember how to undo something. My pdfs are black background with white lettering. I just want it back to normal

    Hi pistoley,
    Are you viewing your PDFs in Reader or Acrobat, and what version? It sounds like there may have been a change made to the Accessibility preferences. In Reader/Acrobat XI, choose Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Reader/Acrobat preferences (Mac OS), and click the Accessibility category. Is Replace Document Colors selected? If so, try deselecting that.
    Please let us know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara
