Powerpoint file made on PC and edited on Mac will not open on PC

I've created a Powerpoint presentation on my work PC. I then made some changes to it on my iMac and now the file will not open on the PC. The error message is: "Powerpoint can't read [file name]"
The edited file opens on the mac and I made sure the extention is included in the file name. I've reinstalled Office X but no luck.
Any clues anyone?

This can be a real pain in the butt. You best read this, figure out what you did wrong, and don't do it again. Hows that for compatibility eh?

Digital Editions 4.0 will not open after installation on Windows XP laptop. DigitalEditions 3.0 installs and opens fine. Have tried 4.0 several times. Removed 3.0 and 4.0, reboot, reinstall 4.0 still will not open. Error message says Windows has experienced and problem and requires that Digital Editions must be shut down.

Solved my own problem. It was necessary to delete all instances of Adobe Digital Editions in programs and the registry. After doing so and reinstalling 4.02...., it became available in the "open with" dialogue box and became the default epub reader.

You mean, you reinstalled iLife from the iLIfe '11 installer? If your current iPhoto library has been edited using a newer iPhoto version, you need first to update to the latest version you used. Update from the -menu > Software Update.
Then try again to launch iPhoto.

the problem started when my computer screen broke from something falling on it, the screen was replaced but the people that fixed it for me told me there may be some hard disk issues when a problem like this happens, they ran their own checks and found nothing and i was given my laptop back, then when i tried to use it, i found this problem. everything else works fine.
i have shutdown and re-started my computer multiple times and i have also re-started finder multiple times, both having no effect
i have also done a few other things to find that my apple.com.finder.plist and apple.com.sidebar.plist are both missing, and are not re-creating themselves, i have found no way to bring them back either.

there is an app called daisydisk on mac app store which will help you see exactly where the memory is focused and consumed try using that app and see which folders are using more memory

I bought an iphone and synced it. When unplugging it, I realized all my apps I downloaded were gone off the iphone (I did find them in the itunes folder however) but the issue is, my Safari and my itunes program will NOT open. They bounce once and that is it, never opens. No errors, nothing. I have been going insane trying to figure out what the problem is. Anyone else have this issue?

It's likely that, having just installed W7, there are a fair number of updates you should apply:
Install all Windows Updates.
Install latest version of Apple QuickTime (v7.6.9 at time of writing). Even if you don't use QuickTime, PRE relies heavily on it.
Install most recent graphics and sound drivers from the manufacturers web sites.
Run Disk Cleanup.
Run Defragmenter.
Temporarily disable any anti-virus realtime scanning.

InDesign CC and Illustrator CC still will not open. I have tried every possible option to fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled the programs. I was contacted by someone in customer service last Monday the 27th of April and my issue is still not resolved. It was stated to me that the issue may be dealing with the server and I have not had any feedback on if the issue was resolved or not. I pay for this software and it has not been working properly since I got it. I have projects that I have been working on that I have not been able to complete in a timely manner. Assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Re-installed Kaspersky when reactivated account and now my Firefox will not open not even a message to allow or anything. Went to Mozilla to reload went ok till the install standard tellsme to close Firefox but it is not open, remember I could not open it ths the re-install and does not show in task manager or anything. hello, this crash is related to your graphics hardware & a recent windows update. please start firefox in safemode (by pressing the shift-key while it is launching) & go to ''firefox > options > advanced > general'' & disable hardware acceleration.
