Powerpoint like pre-built graphics on Keynote?

So, I looked for this everywhere and can't seem to find it. In Office 2008, the Power Point has these pre-built graphics that are not charts, but rather are flow charts and interesting graphics...and are usually using a color scheme that is congruent with the overall theme of the presentatioon However, from what I can see, KeyNote has the charts and tables, but no other types of pre-built graphics...so I end up having to do them from scratch using the shapes option. This is so time consuming! Is there anything like this feature on Keynote?

Why are pre-built graphics blurry on retina displays?

I have designed multiple vector infographics in Inkpad (iPad app) and imported them into Adobe Muse. The desktop version of graphics looks great. iPad version is blurry and pixelated.
No matter how I export the grpahics (ie: .png, .jpeg, .gif) it is always way below par on iPad. I have also tried making the images much larger in AI, still nothing is working. This is extremely frustrating and seems like it should be more simple. Is there a work around for importing .svg into muse sites via the "Insert HTML" feature?

Do they still look blurry on the "best" setting for Retina?
The problem I see is, there are many applications around that were created a decade ago, and the developers have moved on. These are still valuable applications for many people. Are they just always going to look crappy on the Retina MacBook? That sounds pretty undesirable.
The difference with the iPhone is, the Retina was an upgrade, but didn't make existing applications look worse.

Pre-built website businesses how to get into dreamweaver?

I just purchased a monthly membership to a website that is selling "scripts". Pre-built website businesses that I am able to download and edit as i like. I also recently dowloaded dreamweaver and look forward to learning how to use it. I'm a novice with html, web design, etc and know dreamweaver is pretty "intense". I tried to get these files "php" and "css" into dreamweaver and I'm having difficulty. Is there some easy way this is done that I'm not able to find in my books and online material? thanks!

Unfortunately without knowing what the 'pre-built' sites contain it will be difficult to say if they can be used 'as is' in dreamweaver.
Many of these pre-built sites contain templates and include files, and depending upon the type of template used, you may require a plug-in to use them in dreamweaver, the good new is that most of the common template systems such as 'smarty', do have dreamweaver extensions available.
The first thing to do is set up a testing server with a server side scripting language as required by the pre-built site. If it is a php/MySQL site then see this article for setting up a testing server - http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/setting_up_php.html, if it is asp then try this one - http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/setting_up_asp.html, should it be some other then please let me know.
Once you have your testing server of choice set-up, copy the files to a folder in the testing servers htdocs or www.root folder and define your site in the dreamweaver site definitions, to do this see - http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/first_dynamic_site_pt1.html, this article is for php but the steps required are the same.
Should your site use templates such a smarty, then a search of the web for smarty (replace this with your template name), dreamweaver extension, should find the dreamweaver extension you require, failing this try searching the dreamweaver extensions site at - http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=productHome&exc=3&loc=en_us. Including a Pre-Built LLB in Application Builder 8.X

I have just recently updated some old code to 8.5.1. This code contains many dynamic calls to VIs located in pre-built LLBs (LLBs that were saved prior to application builder). This application is also compatible with a priority plug-in architecture. So when creating an application or installer in app builder 8.X, how does one include a LLB file? I do not wish to build it. I just want to include it the same way you may include a text file or someother type of source file. LLB files do not show up as individual files in the Project Manager.

Prompts in Pre-built reports

Does anybody know how the pre-built reports are made in regards to prompting?
e.g. the top-10-oppty report:
At top you have a dashboard prompt and underneath the report, which gets filtered by the values of the prompt.
This analysis looks like a dashboard page but shows up under tab Reports.
Any idea?

Hi Martin,
This is something that Oracle have done which cannot be replicated when building custom reports. You'll need to create a dashboard page and add your report and prompt to it to replicate this behaviour.

Oracle Linux 5 (pre-built developer vm)

Hello,
Apologies if this is the wrong forum. Please let me know which forum I should use if it isn't this one.
I'd like to upgrade both the database (Oracle 11.2.0.2) and the Linux (Oracle Linux 5) of the Oracle pre-built vm that I downloaded from here : http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/community/developer-vm/index.html
Database side I'm OK with, getting the zips etc. Where do I get the binaries to upgrade the OS? Metalink doesn't seem to have an Oracle Linux patch section if it isn't for another Oracle product ON Oracle Linux. I'm probably not using it properly.

I have no experience with updating the VM image you mention, nor do I know whether this will work or is a good idea. But to answer your question where to obtain Oracle Linux binaries or update the system:

Source of Pre-Built Frameworks Locales?

Hi All,
Where do I get pre-built locale frameworks files. I have Flex Builder and in the SDK folders is the en_US and ja_JP.
I can switch between English and Japanese and all works fine, the dates are all in the correct language, validation all shows in correct language.
But I need a bunch of other languages so I create the es_ES with bin/copylocale en_US es_ES
All this does is copy the English frameworks to a new folder. What I want is all the controls like the dates and validation to be in Spanish, like they are in Japanese when I use that local.
I'm dealing with my own local language modification like labels etc. I'm looking for the flex built in controls language files.
Any help this is holding up deployment.

First off, many thanks to cheftimo for pointing out that the free flex 4 sdk contains 16 languages.
I needed out of the box default locale strings for all the built in controls like dates and form validation for flex 3.
I did this with sdk 3.4.0 on the Mac, but should work in 3.5.0
Flex 3 ships with en_US and ja_JP I will make a es_ES in this example but this will work for any the 16 locales you need.
1) Download the free flex 4 sdk and unzip
Located inside this zip are the locale properties /frameworks/projects/frameworks/bundles/{locale} in our example es_ES
2) Make a copy of the en_US in Flex 3
cd /Applications/Adobe\ Flex\ Builder\ 3/sdks/3.4.0
bin/copylocale en_US es_ES
This creates a copy of the en_US in /Applications/Adobe Flex Builder 3/sdks/3.4.0/frameworks/locale/ as es_ES
Everything is set up for you except that it as not translated the strings.
3) unzip the framework file
cd /Applications/Adobe Flex Builder 3/sdks/3.4.0/frameworks/locale/es_ES
unzip framework_rb.swc
This extract in the es_ES folder
catalog.xml
library.swf
locale (folder)
4) rename for back up, the original framework file (not needed anymore)
mv framework_rb.swc framework_rb.bu
5) copy in the porperties files from flex 4 sdk to the locale/es_ES folder you just extracted
you can do the next step in the command line or finder (finder is easier)
Open the flex 4 sdk properties folder
open /frameworks/projects/frameworks/bundles/es_ES
copy the 13 property files to the just unzipped folder locale/es_ES
6) re-zip the files
zip framework_rb.swc locale library.swf catalog.xml
This will result in a new framework_rb.swc you can now delete the 2 extracted files and 1 extracted folder: (locale library.swf catalog.xml)
Thats it you now have a flex 3 locale file just repeat the steps for the other ones you need
Note you could just copy the framework.swc from the flex 4 sdk but I'm paranoid and was not sure what might have changed in say the catalog.xml for example.

EPM pre-built image for partners - BIC2G

I got to this page in search of a pre-built environment for demo, poc etc.. for Oracle Partners.

In this page, in particular I was looking for the free Linux Image of older versions of EPM.
But I don't see any FTP folder named "/static/BIC2G-BI-LNX_JUNE_2009/" as given in this page.
Does anyone know where I can get this? I would prefer a windows image but if not Linux is fine.
Is there a VMWare Image (Virtual Appliance) for EPM? I heard there is a 30 day trial image available. But couldn't fine it in VMWare site.

1. Instead of localhost, try giving the fully qualified name of the machine / vm image. Also add localhost with that machine ip/dns names details in the etc/hosts file.
Say for example, in a single machine assuming you have Windows OS. In that in one of the partitions, you may have installed VM Workstation with this BPM Image. For this VM, set the network connections ip with some static ip address. Then in that vm image linux os, add in hosts file this ip address and some static machine name like that vm image name itself. Then on windows side in windows system32 etc hosts file add these details.

Adding OSB to Pre-built SOA OSB BPM (PS5) VM - WC_Spaces template

I have downloaded and setup the pre-built developer VM for SOA/OSB/BPM using the Webcenter Spaces template. Everything works fine, I am just trying to add OSB to extend the existing domain but getting stuck at the wizard where it asks for the OSB JMS Reporting Provider JDBC connection properties. The steps to get there are as follows:
Extend SOA domain
* Start Configuration Wizard:
cd /opt/oracle/Middleware/home_11gr1/Oracle_OSB1/common/bin
./config.sh
* Select Extend an existing WebLogic domain, click Next
* On Select a WebLogic Domain Directory screen, select soa_domain
* On Select Extension Source screen,
- Select: Oracle Service Bus [Oracle_OSB1]
- Select: Oracle Service Bus OWSM Extenstion [Oracle_OSB1]
- WebLogic Advanced Web Services for JAX-RPC Extension [wlserver_10.3] option is also automatically selected.
- Click Next
* On Configure JDBC Data Sources screen, select soademoDatabase which was created at SOA Suite install. Click Next.
* Test JDBC Data Sources, click Next when successful
* On Configure JDBC Component Schema, select the checkbox for OSB JMS Reporting Provider and enter
- Vendor: Oracle
- Driver: *Oracle's Driver (Thin) for Service connections; Versions:9.0.1 and later
- Schema Owner: DEV_SOAINFRA
- Schema Password: welcome1
- DBMS/Service: orcl.world
- Host Name: localhost
- Port: 1521
- Click Next ======> Can't get past here since OSB JMS Reporting Provider database cannot be found!!
Wondering if there is a way to use the initial setup script to add OSB JMS Reporting Provider DB? I also couldn't find RCU Home so that I could add the OSB JMS Reporting Provider DB to the XE Instance. Any help is much appreciated..

And at the next startup of the Admin Server it complains about the JDBC connection not available and fails to initialize it.To avoid this problem, you may follow below steps -
1. Navigate to directory $Domain_Home/config
2. Search for string "wlsbjmsrpDataSource" in file config.xml
3. You will find an entry like below -
<jdbc-system-resource>
<name>wlsbjmsrpDataSource</name>
<target>AdminServer</target>
<descriptor-file-name>jdbc/wlsbjmsrpDataSource-jdbc.xml</descriptor-file-name>
</jdbc-system-resource>
Replace the above entry with below -
<jdbc-system-resource>
<name>wlsbjmsrpDataSource</name>
<target></target>
<descriptor-file-name>jdbc/wlsbjmsrpDataSource-jdbc.xml</descriptor-file-name>
</jdbc-system-resource>
Basically you need to remove the targeting of this DS. Once done, save the config.xml and try to start your admin server now.
When (in future) you want to use Reporting feature of OSB, just provide the details of DB in the connection pool of datasource "wlsbjmsrpDataSource" and target it to the OSB servers and you will be good to go.

Iweb With html5 Pre Built Templates?

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but Googling hasn't helped me.
I found an html5 pre built template I would like to purchase and download. But I am very limited in Dreamweaver knowledge. Can I open and work with this type of template in iWeb?

iWeb can only use templates that are specifically designed for it. It cannot open an external html file.
I would imagine that what you are contemplating buying is an HTML layout with a CSS stylesheet. You would need code entry style software for this but you really don't need DreamWeaver.
I use Rage WebDesign for this. Taco is a really good, cheaper alternative and Fraise is free.
Some iWeb users are moving to Flux 3 since it handles both code entry and drag and drop. This application, to my mind, is over complicated and you would be better to use a WYSIWYG code entry style software if you are starting off with a well designed Stylesheet and HTML template. Its a lot easier in the long run and produces much cleaner code.

Localizing pre-built web beans

Hello.
I wonder how you localize the pre-built web beans, such as FindForm, EditForm etc, to a different language like Swedish. I saw in the online help that you could do it for your java files, but these aren't mine now are they... ;)
But it must be possible, I can't use them with english text since the program I'm constructing is for swedish people only.

Yes, Aman you are right. As I guessed it worked. I was not sure that the Oracle Virtual Box will work on Home Premium 64-Bit because the download page did not say anything about which flavor of 64-Bit OS is supported. However, I downloaded and installed ("Oracle Virtual Box and Pre-built Developer VMs"). Afterwards, I tested a few items, so far looks good.

I know Informatica and OBIEE(Not a very experienced person).
I have installed BIA on my local windows machine.
I am using Oracle Apps as the source.
In the execute tab I selected the HR-Oracle 11510 execution plan and ran it but it failed.
The workflow error log says the following:
