PowerView option - Drill Down one level at a time also hide the columns other than the hierarchy columns
Hi All,
I have a simple PowerView report (Excel 2013) in which I have a hierarchy (three columns), an image column, and a Value column:
When I change the Show Levels option to "Rows - Enable Drill Down One Level at a Time", image column also hide.
I want to keep the image column displayed while drill down/up to the hierarchy.
Is it possible? If yes, then how?

According to your description, you have images at child level. Now you want to have the images displayed when have the child level items collapsed. Right?
In this scenario, when you show the data in a matrix in Power View, those images, Size ID and Prices have been added into a child group. If we enable drill down, all the items within the child group will be collapsed. We can't change it at all in Power
View.
For your requirement, we suggest you design your report using SQL Server Data Tools in Reporting Services. In Reporting Services, we can have specific columns toggled by the parent item.

The best thing to do would be to start over. Use Setup Assistant this time.

How can I add vocal effects other than the 9 Voice options? (I can't shift pitch)

I am making the switch from PC and am just trying to lower the pitch of a vocal track by at least an octave; I just got a MBP last week and am running GB 10.0.2. I can't find any info on similar problems that is helpful; most solutions I've come across show that when the track is selected, there should be a pitch shift bar with a sliding button, but I do not have that. I read a lot of people saying something about the track being purple or not, but I'm not sure if that's relative to the version I have or if that has anything to do with what's happening. When I select the track, in the little area toward the lower left when "Track" is selected, (what is that space called?) where the pitch shift option is for other people, I only have a sliding bar for Pitch Correction, and a checkbox for Limit to Key and Enable Flex. When "Region" is selected, it just shows the name of the region and there are no options. Another question I have is how to change the pitch of midi sounds? When the keyboard is open on the screen I have tried moving the little octave shifter, but it assigns the sounds that are on the keyboard at different locations if I move it, so it changes the sound completely. A couple of them shift one octave up or down, but there are no actual controls..
I'm mostly just dabbling with EDM/trap/Hiphop tracks at the moment, but am confused about whether or not there are other vocal effects and controls other than the preset Voice options in the instrument area (Bright vocal, Classic vocal, compressed vocal, Edge vocal, etc.)? I'm not going to be using GB forever, but are there not any other options like for current rap/trap production (phaser, balance, EQ, auto tune, choppers, actual voice altering effects, etc.) [preferably without buying extra things]? And not only vocals, but editing effects for all sounds.. If so, how do I get to them? And if not I know I should at least be able to lower or raise the pitch of a vocal recording... There are some pretty legit electronic instruments that are exactly the kind of sound I'm going for so I was surprised to not see an equally simple to access vocal effects board or something. Any additional tips for a n00b electronic music producer would also be greatly appreciated! Thank you for any help!In GarageBand 10 you can no longer change a track with an audio file to a "purple" audio recording, as it has been possible in GarageBand '11.
Even, if you can make the transpose slider visible by enlarging the the track editor panel, the slider will be disabled.
What you can do however, is either add an AuPItch filter from the audioUnit panel or to convert your audio file to loop and to admit from the Loop Browser.
In the new GarageBand you add the AuPitch filter from the Smart Controls.
Enlarge the SmartControl panel by dragging the dividing line upwards, until you see the Audio Units brick, then add an Apple Audio Unit and set it to AuPitch.
Or create a loop from the audio file. Select the region in the track and use the command "File: Add region to Loop library". You need to trim the filet an exact number of measures.
Set the current key and tempo, name the loop, and save the loop. Make sure, that one-shot loop is not enabled.
Now add it from the loop browser to a new track and delete your old track. The search field in the Loop browser will help you to find the loop quickly.
You will be able to transpose the sample like any regular loop. -
I want to edge to a phone other than the one that I am "eligible" for
I am very frustrated with the service that I have received lately. I currently own an iPhone 5 and have an upgrade in July. The phone works fine other than the short battery life and little storage left due to the fact that the new software updates get larger as they go. I became eligible for early edge at the beginning of February. When I went to take a look at my options I was told that I would only be able to edge to a droid max. I have had iPhone's since 2010 when I first got a smart phone, my entire platform runs off of Apple and I have absolutely no desire to change that now.
I called customer service to see if anything could be done to change this option and was told that she could not do anything at the moment, but if I called back in the middle of March that I would be able to get an iPhone 6 and that she would notate my account saying just that. I waited like she told me and called back yesterday. I was then told that my account was notated "if she calls back in a COUPLE OF MONTHS that she will be able to get an iPhone 6." I'm sorry, but there is a big difference between a couple of weeks and a couple of months, especially considering that in a couple of months I will be able to upgrade my phone anyway which would mean there would have been no point in calling back if that's what I had been told originally. Why would I be told one thing and be specifically told when to call back, and then have her write down something else completely? It is very frustrating to be told one thing and then to essentially be told that I am incorrect because something else was written down. I have been a Verizon customer since 2007 and stayed with Verizon even when I moved to my own plan in 2013 and the fact that I am being given the run around is extremely frustrating and annoying. One of the requisites AS LISTED ON THE EDGE PAGE is that your line must be eligible for an upgrade. Verizon lifts this requirement IF you want to purchase a specific phone. If the phone you want is not eligible for Early Edge at this moment, it may be at some point in the future and the phone CURRENTLY available may NOT be available for Early Edge. You were able to get the phone you wanted on Early Edge because it was the phone(or one of the phones) eligible at the time for Early Edge.
Verizon does not have a link for Early Edge because it is not always available AND the eligible phones change from time to time. This is no different than any other special they occasionally run.
Regardless, since a link WAS given for Edge which DOES list upgrade eligibility as being a requirement, if someone DOES NOT fulfill that requirement it is not out of the question that other portions of Edge may be different, too, such as what you posted "All Verizon Wireless smartphones, tablets and basic phones are eligible for Verizon Edge." If Verizon relaxes a requirement to enter into Edge, why is it so hard to fathom they may ALSO change something else such as which phones are eligible???
The fact that the OP IS NOT able to purchase an iPhone on Early Edge simply reinforces this fact. -
How does one get an iPod nano to turn on other than the "normal" way? This one has been dropped and all I can get is a blank screen. I have tried holding down the HOME button to restart it but no go. When I connect it to my computer, I am told to enter the PASSCODE which I cannot do as there is no touchpad.

If it's an iPod touch, try a reset.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, whether it's an iPod nano or touch, it probably needs service > Apple - Support - Service Answer Center -

I am trying to print all the PDF pages in a range of 5 pages but can only print one page at a time . . . It will print the current page only, but not all or pages 1-5. I need to go to the next subsequent page and command to print current page; continuing with this procedure until all pages are printed one at a time. Can this be overcome?
You can use printPages(1, 5), however I need to know how you print current page.

I've been running iTunes on WinXP for years with few problems. I have all my iTunes files on an external USB drive. I just bought a new PC running Win7, 64-bit.
I connected the external USB drive to the new PC and installed 64-bit iTunes on it. When iTunes started up, I pointed it at the iTunes directory in the external drive, using Edit > Preferences > Advanced > iTunes Media Folder Location. It showed a progress bar that it was updating the iTunes Library. I signed in and authorized the new machine. I have one spare authorization.
Then iTunes put up a message "The item you've requested is not currently available in the Hong Kong Store." I had not requested anything from the HK store at that point, and I have never used any store other than the HK one.
When I click OK, the iTunes Store page remains blank, apart from saying "iTunes Store" in the middle of the page.
I went to "View My Account" and pressed the Reset button to "Reset all warnings for buying and downloading items", but that doesn’t fix this particular warning. I also tried Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Reset Warnings and Rest Cache.
But still, every time I click the “App Store” button in the iTunes Store window, the message appears. If I click the Books, Podcasts or iTunesU buttons, these display normally. So I’m stuck with being unable to purchase apps, other than through my iPad and iPhone.
If I move the external drive back to the XP machine, the same thing happens. If I go to another PC - a notebook running Vista - everything is normal.
Any idea how I can clear that message?

I have tried re-validating my credit card, which apparently fixed it for some.
I have also tried uninstalling, re-downloading and installing again.

Tip: How to play a playlist one song at a time from iTunes on a computer using the checkbox property
I would like to share a tip about how to play a playlist one song at a time from iTunes on a computer. The tip I am sharing is simple, but I was not able to find it in the iTunes Help. After searching on the internet I found the idea for this solution in a discussion in which this was presented as a frustrating problem rather than a desired behavior. This tip relies on the checkbox for each song in iTunes. For a song in a playlist to play automatically, the checkbox must be checked. To keep a song from playing in a playlist, simply uncheck it. Therefore, to keep all songs from playing automatically in a playlist, simply uncheck them all. Now you have a list of desired songs in a desired order but none of them will play automatically. You can play each one when you want to play it without having to search for the next song and without having to be at the computer to stop the playing after each song.
Step by step:
1. Create the playlist.
2. Uncheck all of the check boxes in the playlist (In iTunes for Windows, ctrl click one of the check marks to uncheck all of the checkboxes at once)
3. Now double click (or select and press spacebar) a song to play it. It will stop when finished because there is no other song checked to be played next.
4. If you want to change back to normal sequential play, ctrl click one of the check marks again to change all of the checkboxes back to the checked status.
Based on some discussions I found while looking for a solution (including at least one in which the questioner got bashed about why anybody would ever want to do such a thing and in which the proposed solutions were things like creating one song playlists or simply press stop after each song), some may not understand why this would ever be desired. Here's why I wanted to do it:
I was responsible for playing a series of songs at a dance. I needed to stop after each song to have a transition time to allow me to introduce the next song and to give new dancers time to get onto the floor and other dancers an opportunity to leave the floor. Furthermore, I was also dancing and didn't want to have to spend time searching for the next song (which is why I wanted to create a playlist in advance with just the songs I wanted to play in the order I wanted to play them) and I wanted each song to stop after playing since I was not at the computer to press stop.
I hope this will help others who have a similar need.Thank you! I put some self help hypnosis tracks to listen to on my iPod. I did not want to go to the next track automatically, I wanted to listen to them individually, one at a time. (If I fell asleep, I did not want to 'wake up' in the middle of a different track.) Your information helps me understand that I need to re-load this playlist onto my iPod from my Mac computer, only first, I need to UNCHECK the boxes in front of each track so the iPod will STOP each time after playing the selected track. It is too bad that so many functions are not availabvle within the iPod, but that is probably why they can make it so compact.

I'm wondering if there is any way to view the results of the form other than in a table? Is it possible to print responses one by one in PDF format, or word, etc? I'd like to create a form for proposal applications, and the spreadsheet format results are nearly unusable for this type of form.

Yes, you can print the response in a PDF by following the steps suggested below.
1) Go to the response file
2) Select the response you want to print
3) Click on Save as PDF button and it would save the selected response in PDF format.

How to enable remote debugging for a session other than the current one

I am trying to figure out how to enable remote debugging for a session other than the one I am currently using.
More specifically, we have an application that is making database calls to Oracle 11gR2. Something is causing an exception during this invocation. My system is currently not set up to recompile said application, so I can't just add the debug call to the code and recompile. Therefore I would like to be able to log into the database (as sys, if necessary) and invoke dbms_debug_jdwp.connect_tcp on the desired session.
The docs indicate that I should be able to do so:

I've tried granting the 'BECOME USER' privilege for the relevant users, but that didn't help. I read something about having to set some kind of ACL as of 11gR1, but the reference documentation was very confusing.
Would someone be able to point me in the right direction? Is this even possible, or did I misread the documentation?Interesting deduction, that would be very useful indeed. I hate recompiling just to add the debug call, and it can't be done in our production environment. But it seems unlikely to me it would be implemented this way.
