PowerView (SharePoint 2013) Load time too slow

I am using PowerView in SharePoint 2013 and when I access the SSAS 2012 Tabular Data Source through a "Report Data Source", the PowerView Canvas with the Field List takes a long while to load and the users get restless seeing the Blue spinning
wheel. I tested this on different tabular models and am seeing different results based on the complexity of the model.
Complex Model - 13 secs.
Adventure Works Model - 9 secs.
Very Simple Model (1 fact, 1 dim) - 8 secs.
I think if the model is complex then the engine takes a longer time to render the field list. How to get around this limitation and bring the blank canvas load time to under 5 secs.? I am curious to know if anyone has ever seen lesser load times in their
environment for the blank PowerView canvas and field lists.
Alternatively, If the field list loading takes time, is it possible to disable it? Because, I have already created dashboards for the end users in PowerView and do not want to load the field list if it is slowing down the entire experience.

be incorrect.
I have read the link you have provided and have all the patches applied, besides I am not using a Power Pivot source.
My tabular cube is complex and has about 200 measures, and the blank Power View canvas takes about 13 seconds to load in SharePoint 2013 URL from web browser. Appreciate if you can provide any insights here please.

Movie Load Time Too Slow

I've created three movies for a new website; all photo slide shows with 10-14 photos and some text. The photos have all been optimized in Photoshop and saved for web...most are under 100kb, however the movies are taking a long time to load on the webpages. Is there anything I can do through Edge Animate to reduce the load time? Even with the preloader, the load time is way too long. I've inserted the movies into the html pages using iframe. I would make sure you've assigned >2 vCPUs. In addition, depending on content size, I'd recommend at least 20GB if not 32GB vRAM. Make sure to limit SQL's memory (MAX MEM) to a couple of GB.
Make sure to install
AppFabric CU5 and enable the backgroundGC=true as defined in the
AppFabric CU3 KB.

"Full Screen Mode" in Adobe Reader XI for Windows 8 loads way too slow!

I recently got a new laptop with Windows 8, after having used Windows Vista for years. I installed Adobe Reader XI for my new computer. Before, I used Adobe Reader X on Vista. I used Adobe Reader "Full Screen Mode" to read the nice-looking Bible chapters I created with internet audio from Biblegateway.com. In Vista, the "Full Screen Mode" appeared quickly, before the audio fully started, so I could see the text in time for the reading.
However, with Windows 8, "Full Screen Mode" takes around 5-10 seconds to appear at all, and a black screen is present throughout the wait. It does the same thing when I hit "escape" to exit "Full Screen Mode" as well. I even uninstalled Adobe Reader XI from my new laptop, and tried using Adobe Reader X, even though it is not recommened by Adobe to do that on Windows 8, in order to test the speed of "Full Screen Mode" there. Adobe Reader X had the same problem! I do not know if this can be fixed, but I am pretty unhappy about it! I enjoyed the "Full Screen Mode" with my PDF chapters and the online bible audio! Finding that function for the first time with Adobe Reader X was a delight for me! It gave the reading a theater feel!
Has anyone else here had a similiar problem with "Full Screen Mode" loading way too slow on Windows 8? I am very disappointed! If this cannot be fixed by a user, is there a place to complain to Adobe and make a recommendation for software improvement? Thank you!

I'm having the same problem. Dreamweaver is supper slow. Uploading and downloads from the server... any server I use two different servers. It times out all the time. Menus are slow too.
I'm on a MAC Pro, 6 gigs of ram no issues with anything else. I have talked to Apple they have checked everything for me. They say it's Dreamweaver. I've noticed the Dreamweaver is talking to the FTP even when I'm not doing anything.
I've tried cleaning out my MAC caches, turning off file check and check out. Still really slow. I've worked with Dreamweaver for 6 years never any issues like this before. 18 seconds to upload a 4 kb file. 11 seconds to download the same file.

My name is Mike and I just finished my 1st iWeb site. But The loading time is very slow. I understand that I put a video on my welcome page so I will cut it down to a short clip.
But if you check other pages too the loading time is slow and I notice that there are these white boxes around the objects (these objects are from the original iWeb template) while loading the page. So does that mean that I have to use less ojects from this specific template to decrease the loading time (also the shadow or png files...etc)?
For all the images I already trim the size down to jpg with appropriate size. However the loading time is still pretty slow. So could you guys help me on this Please?

loading time is okay with me too.
your site seems to be loading about as fast as any "normal" iweb site would on dotmac because template iweb sites usually give up speed for graphical beauty (and html bloat).
your hunch is correct though. the best way to speed up your site is to get rid of a lot of your graphics. some graphics you just won't be able to get rid of, like text that iweb makes into graphics.
but again, your site loads about the average speed of an iweb site. the price you pay for a pretty site!

Load time too darn slow!

I just included an html header in my template. All of my images (for a menu) are in a folder, properly referenced in HTML. I made the HTML document specifically for this pdf file. The header loads fine when pulling up the initial JSP page but once I run the rdf template, the data shows up but the header stops @ 38% and none of the header images load. All of the images have been optimized for the web. Is there anything else I can do? I noticed that my pdf versions (no html header) take forever to load as well. What can I do to speed up the load time??

You have not given enough information about your issue and environment, so it is bit tough to suggest you a solution.
here are few things you can try out -
1. See how much free memory you have in your server
2. If your SQL server installation in on the same server, then allocate some % of memory to it, that is set an upper limit of memory usage to SQL Server

You might be seeing the same code(assumption of your code after deployment), that may be because you may have not published your app to SP server or your code was not saved by VS.

I have set up an account to the phone's email application. It lists the emails in real time, but when I try to open an one, the loading time gets overwhelming.

Hi All. We have about 600 000 PM orders in the system. Loading the master data attributes for this into BW/BI takes almost an hour. There seems to be no delta load available. Most of this running time is on ECC6. I cannot restrict the orders in the info package because there are orders created a long time ago which are still active.

We have just under 600,000. After perfroming a full load of all Orders, what we did to deal with 0PM_ORDER load times was to use the ABAP Conversion exit on the Infopackage's Data Selection tab. The datasource contains Created On(ERDAT) and Change(AEDAT) dates and we rely on those dates to filter the Orders we extract.
We load two Infopackages (full loads) each day, one that loads any Orders created in the last 7 days and another that loads any Orders changed in the last 7 days.
ABAP conversion exit code for created in last 7 days -
data: l_low_date like sy-datum,
l_idx like sy-tabix.
read table l_t_range with key
fieldname = 'ERDAT'.
l_idx = sy-tabix.
l_low_date = sy-datum - 6.
l_t_range-option = 'BT'.
l_t_range-low = l_low_date.
l_t_range-high = sy-datum.
modify l_t_range index l_idx.
p_subrc = 0.
The Changed code is the same, but it references AEDAT.
The load times for the Created and Changed Infopackages are about 1 - 2 minutes each.

Powerview report initial loading time from Sharepoint bottle neck for almost 5 seconds

Beside the SQL Server CU10 patch update and sharepoint component update, is there some work around we can do to booze the initial load of 5 second performance bottle neck for Powerview connection?

If we render a Power View report that uses a PowerPivot workbook as its data source, slow performance might occur while the report is rendered. To work around this issue, we can refer to the following methods:
Reduce the complexity and number of sheets within the PowerPivot workbook.
Limit the number of Excel sheets and the complexity of what is located on them.
Limit the number of items on the Power View report.

MY Firefox5.0 is loading way too slow, I have tried everything to speed it up. IS there anything else I can do?

I have done scans for spyware, malware, I've deleted or removed programs and files that were either corrupted or too up alot of room. I've cleared the cache, defragged the hard drive, I have found viruses and deleted them or quarantined them,. I've even reconfigured my firefox to run faster but, its still extremely slow.
What can i do to speed it up? Mind you now the fastest fox version they have is only 4.3 something so the fastest fox is not even fast or compatible with firefox 5. So somebody needs to look into this and figure out how to make firefox load faster. What do I need to do?

Response time too slow when there is competition in the same connector PCo

Dear all, I'm having a problem with using PCo 2.1.
I created all the conections in PCo with OSIsoft PI and when I create a TagQuery
on MII to get the values of a tag is not occur problem in response time.
But when I have another TagQuery or Transaction, which is collecting data at the same
time, sharing the same connector, the time response is very slow.
Using the UDS this problem does not happen.
So problem is that when there is competition in the same connector, the response time is extremely slow.
Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks again for attention,
I found this problem on the two MII versions, 12.0 and 12.1.
The UDS and PCo are on different servers and using different ports too.
I didn't find errors on netweaver about this, but I'll verify one more time.
On true, on version 12.0 of MII there is two connections with PI, one PCo and another UDS, that are using the same port. But this does not happen on the MII version 12.1, there I'm using different ports.
