I had created a query using SQ01. Now i want to create the POWL from this query and from the existing queries.
Is there any document to create it.

PDF creation from ID - not outlining fonts correctly

Hi all. I have a query regarding PDF creation from InDesign (so this could have been in the Acrobat section instead but went for this one).
I work for a publisher using CS2+3 on PCs. We don't have one out of house printer as a rule but several. All have different requirements.
Essentially we are converting fonts to curves from within InDesign when creating the PDFs. Therefore we have multiple files (curved and text) which is adding lots of time onto projects and adding a further margin for error with missing or out of date files. It seems this process is necessary as whenever I select the option to outline the fonts when creating the PDFs, the printers usually get in touch asking for the font, even though it has been outlined.
I am hoping to find any simple solution, hopefully avoiding purchasing extra software, that avoids creating duplicate 'curved' files. I realise it's a big topic and not restricted to InDesign but this is the main software we are using so figured this was the place for it. Many thanks.

I'll let others question the necessity of outlining text. It has been discussed many, many times before, and the only valid reasons I found so far are producing files for hopelessly outdated printers (the usual recommendation is "find another one, fast!") and for legacy custom hardware such as cutters and engravers.
But this is really a mystery to me:
It seems this process is necessary as whenever I select the option to outline the fonts when creating the PDFs, the printers usually get in touch asking for the font, even though it has been outlined.
Tr this: outline all text in your ID document. Export as PDF. Check under Document Properties, Fonts. How many fonts do you see? If everything is outlined, there shouldn't be any.
How does the printer know what fonts to ask for, and what is he ever gonna do with these fonts?

Hello Diwakar,
Based on your query i understand that you need to embed your powl into a web dynpro application to view it.
u can do it in two ways..
the first one is just for testing..
prerequisites...
just check ur web dynpro service is activated.
Use transaction SICF
On the Maintain Service screen leave the default values as they are and choose Execute
In the Virtual Hosts/ Services tree control locate the node sap/bc/webdynpro. Right click on
the node and choose Activate Service from the context menu.
1. Navigate to the initial screen of the SAP Easy Access Menu.
2. Do a right-click on Favorites and choose Add other objects from the context menu.
3. Choose Web Dynpro Application from the upcoming dialog box list.
4. On the Web Dynpro Application subscreen, make the following entries.
Web Dynpro Applicat.-->POWL
Parameter -> APPLID   (Be sure to select the parameter via input help.)
Value ->Specify the APPLID defined for the POWER List to test.
Leave rest unchanged.
click OK.
By double-click on the created favorite, the specified POWER List will be displayed in a separate
Browser window..Only the basic functionalities can be tested this way.
The second way is in which you manually insert a powl component in web dynpro appl..
1. create a web dynpro component.
2. Specify POWL_UI_COMP as the used component in the properties and give a suitable name.
3. In the main view. insert a ViewcontainerUIelement.
4. In the component controller properties . click on create controller usage. and select POWL_UI_COMP
INTERFACECONTROLLER
5. Go to the windows selection and right click and select embed view on the ViewcontainerUIelement of the Main view. select POWL_MASTER from input help.
6. Create an outbound plug , name it as 'OUT'. link it with DEFAULT plug by dragging.
7.Go to the methods tab and in the Handle Default method .
and paste the following code..

As you know aggregates are baby cubes right.
Aggregate names by default system has given as 6 digit number like 100831 but write the description by yourself.
Here you have to remember fact table is created with the name
like for ex: /BIC/F100831.
while creating aggregates you can observe all options carefully till complete the creation process then after I am sure about
your can get idea .
If problem still persists with you let me know the same until
get out of that.

Is there any way to prevent the OS from querying the Superdrive when start

Just a random question. Whenever my MacBook Pro starts up (either from sleep or a complete/fresh start, the OS queries the drive slot to see if there is a disc present. While this may be normal behavior, it seems to slow down the start up process. (I rarely ever have a disc in the drive). Just curious if this, in fact, normal, or if there's something awry.

Automatic PO creation from SC

Hi Experts,
I am using SRM 7.0 with extended classic scenario and I have issue in the automatic po creation. For some Shopping Carts the PO is not automatically created. The SC is having Source of Supply Assigned and all the approves have completely approved the SC. The latest status is I1111 Item in Transfer Process.
I checked in RZ20, ST22 and could not find any error or dumps.
For the SC item under BBP_PDBEI the BE_OBJECT_TYPE is BUS2201 and BE_OBJECT_ID 1, once I trigger the PO creation manually the PO object id is reflected here.
For such SC I am running the report BBP_ALERT_SB_NOTTRANSFERED manually which puts the SC in I1112 Error in Transmission Status and later I can trigger the SC creation from the alert monitor.
For POs created in this manner the PO is created in Held Status without any line items, is this normal?
I have two questions which I want to understand, how is the automatic po creation from SC setup, is there any customizing involved for the po creation from SC to happen automatically?
What else should I check to find the reason why the the SC was stuck in I1111 status and PO was not created?

You need to configure the Purchasing group and this will take care of automatic transfer of Doc to sourcing cockpit. Make sure you also maintain the customization for sourcing always carried out for Prod categories.

Automatic PO creation from PR with no master data

Dear gurus,
Is it possible to run ME59- Auto PO creation from approved PR with no master data/source assigned/PIR? Assuming user create adhoc PR.
Is it possible to run this process successfully if i didn't meet on the criteria below? let say no.1 is not checked?
1.Material Master purchasing view, check automatic PO check box.
2. Vendor Master purchasing view, check automatic PO check box.
3. Maintain Source list for Vendor and Material (transaction ME01) and also see validity period.
4. Maintain Purchase Info Record (transaction ME11), check info record category (must be standard or pipeline or subcontracting)
5. Create a Purchase Requisition ( transaction ME51N), during creation select check box of Source Determination.
6. Use transaction ME59 and execute for purchase requisition for vendor, you will be able to create automatic PO.

How to get formated value from query

i get value from query use the follow method
Object obj1 = dataAccess.getValue(i,j,DataMap.DATA_UNFORMATTED);

the first method retrun a value '1666.0',
the second method return a value null
but i want to get the value '1,666'.
who can tell me how can get the formated value?

An implementation of DataAccess is not required to support all DataMap constants. For example, the OLAP-based Query object does not support DataMap.DATA_FORMATTED. To find out which DataMaps are supported for a particular implementation, you can call the DataDirector's getSupportedDataMap method.
If you have an Crosstab instance, there is a way to get the formatted cell value, based upon the formatting rules associated with the Crosstab. Get the GridViewFormatManager reference from the Crosstab, and call its formatDataValue method to return a String representation of the formatted data value.

I created a sender/receiver assignment from query 1 to query 2 using RSBBS. For two characteristics I assigned the processing method by Variable. Process mode for these variables in the receiver query is by customer exit. But I dont know how to set/get values of these variables.
Is there any function module to do it ??

Purchase Order Creation from ME5A Report

My client wants Purchase Order Creation from ME5A Report.
He wants show Open Purchase Requisition through ME5A report then he will select Purchase Requisition Number or line item for po creation from there only.
Please advice how I can map this process in sap.

Why don't you use ME57 to display open PRs and then assign sources and convert them to PO?
Or use ME57 to assign sources and ME59 to automatically convert them to PO.
You can create your very own format for report display using custom "Scope Of List" for ME57.
Look in SPRO under Purchasing>Reporting>Maintain Purchase requisition lists.

IDOC/BAPI for Production order creation from Legacy system

Hi all
We are using an interface to create Production orders from legacy to SAP. Would you recommend an IDOC or a BAPI to create Production orders. If IDOC or BAPI then could you please mention which one?

Hi John,
For your purposes, please use BAPI for production order creation from legacy system. There is no standard inbound IDoc available to use. SAP has an IDoc for outbound interface only (message type LOIPRO).
If there is an inbound IDoc available, I would recommend to use an IDoc.
IDoc technology has excellent error handling and will allow you to reprocess an error (if any).
BAPI is also good approach to use and fast in term of processing.
For BAPI approach, you can use BAPI BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE.

please do you know if there is a way to block the RdA creation from Sales Order schedule line, for TAS item category? I tried with Header Delivery block without quantity confirmation but even if quantity on schedule lines are not confirmed, RdA is created anyway.

i have created a query , with a fixed structure in the Row area and two keyfigures.
I have this query on DSO.
i want to store the same query output to one table.
How can i achive this?
I think to use the APD, but as i have fix structure in query , APD is not the solution . correct me if i am worng.

Currently I am trying to load data into ODS only. But I want to avoid this path. I can always extract data out of the ODS to Flat File through Open Hub, but that will require twice the time to extract data.
First from Query to ODS and second from ODS to Flat File through open hub.
Basically, I want to automate this process and that is why I don't want to opt the path for RSCRM_BAPI t-code.

Even I can't execute it from another portal where i created source system of BI server.
But i can execute queriew from Query analyser and t-code RSRT.
When I execute from Query desinger the url is as follows.

Item category determination during Purchase Requisition creation from APO

Im creating a SNP Purchase Requisition in APO and when it is published to R/3, a Purchase Requisition document is created in R/3.
When this PR is created in R/3, I want the Item Category to be determined based on the Material master Special Procurement Type. ( eg: Id like the Item category to be L if the Material master Special Procurement Type = 30 (Subcontracting) ). But by standard, this field is coming as Blank and this field could only be populated during the creation from APO.
I found a user exit ( CIFPUR02 : Enhancement of Purchase Order Interface (Inbound) ) on R/3 where I tried to populate the Item Category, but when I do this, all the purchase order related data is getting deleted and hence no PRs are getting created in R/3.
Could anyone please tell me if this could be resolved using configuration and if not any tips to do this technically would be very helpful.

But when i try to populate c_eban-pstyp = '3', during the creation of Purchase Requisitions in R/3, in the program SAPLEMPI -> LMEPIF01
this condition is encountered which deletes all the data in the tables that is used to create Purchase requisitions.
