Configuration needed for SOA call to create PO in classic scenario
Dear Experts,
We are working in the SAP SRM 7.01 with backend system on ecc 6.0 Enhancement pack 5. The scenario configured is classic scenario.
I want to know what are the configurations needed to use SOA calls to create a purchase order in the backend system.
In the system landscape directory, when I use the system type "ERP_3.0" for backend system, the system uses the BAPI 'BAPI_PO_CREATE1' to create a purchase order in the backend system.
When we use the system type "ERP_4.0", it does not use the BAPI 'BAPI_PO_CREATE1' to create purchase order. It tries to use SOA calls to create PO in the backend system. However, it fails to create one.
Could you please let me know what are the settings we need to do to create a purchase order in the backend system?
Thanks and regards,
Ranjan
Ranjan SutradharHi Vardhan,
Can you be a little clear? are you using PDP scenario as in your requirements are coming as PR from ECC into SRM as SC? Is this the scenario?

OIF-Logout configuration- Need clarification
Could someone please highlight what are configurations need to enable logout for Oracle Identity Federation. Is it just as simple as invoke URL: /fed/user/logout.
Should this URL be invoked from SP host or IdP host?
ThanksTo configure Logout at SP side.
===================
1. Go to Fusion Middleware Control and navigate to the Oracle Identity Federation instance.
2. Navigate to Administration, then SP Integration Modules. Click the Custom SP Engine tab.
3. To modify an SP integration engine, select it and:
*Enable logout engine
*Set "/logout.jsp" as the Logout Relative Path of the SP integration engine
4. Save your changes
Implementation of logout.jsp
<%@page buffer="5" autoFlush="true" session="false"%>
<%@page language="java" import="java.net.*"%>
<%
response.setHeader("Cache-Control", "no-cache");
response.setHeader("Pragma", "no-cache");
response.setHeader("Expires", "Thu, 29 Oct 1969 17:04:19 GMT");
request.getSession().removeAttribute("feduserid");
request.setAttribute("oracle.security.fed.sp.engineid", TEST_ENGINE_ID);
request.getSession().getServletContext().getContext("/fed").getRequestDispatcher("/user/logoutretsso").forward(request, response);
%>
=====================================
Launch the logout process by accessing a URL of the form:
http://hostname:port/fed/user/logout?returnurl=http%3A%2F%2Fanotherhostname%2Fpath
The logout service takes a returnurl parameter, which is necessary for correct operation; the user will be redirected to this URL after the logout process completes. -

Configurations needed for Proxies.
What are the all configuration steps for using a Server proxy.?
Hi Soumyasanto Sen ,
Proxy generation converts non-language-specific interface descriptions in WSDL into executable interfaces known as Proxies. Depending on the target programming language, you choose one of the following:1. Java Proxies. or 2. ABAP Proxies.
We can interface to XI through proxies. From WAS 6.20, proxy generation feature enables application systems to communicate with XI using proxies. Proxy generation enables you to create proxies in application systems. Proxies encapsulate the creation or parsing of XML messages and the communication with the relevant runtime components required to send or receive the messages.
There are two types of Proxies.
1. Java Proxies.
2. ABAP Proxies.
Java proxies are used when java applications needs to send and receive data and ABAP proxies are used when ABAP applications needs to send and receive data.
The following websites contained detailed explanation (PDF & PPT docs) on Configurations needed for Proxies:

STOCK PORTLET USING HTT CONFIGURATION NEEDED
Hello,
We had a stock portlet in our corporate portal which was configured thru HTT( Hyper Text Template). When we upgraded the Release2, we upgraded the PDK also. The new PDK release has no HTT included. We tried to copy the old HTT and tried to install it in IAS release 2 portal, but we could not do that.
Due to the fact that its a live system, we want to configure the stock portlet asap, so any help will be greatly appreciated...
Thanks in advance,
JohnsonRAID doesn't have a problem with VMware or shouldn't.
A RAID can be used for almost anything and in multiple configurations.
You could first format each drive into 1/3 and 2/3 and then stripe the first outer volume on each for scratch, and use the 2/3 for data if you want.
Same with internal and external. Just a matter of how many drives. And all of it depends on size of files you edit with and performance you want. External just means you need to look at controllers and type of cases. One RAID for backups, another for live data, 3rd for scratch.
If you work with 2GB files, just doing a save might take longer than some like, so they could save their work to a RAID.
For first starting out, just try with a dedicated drive for scratch, or even 1/3 of one of your drives for scratch volume. But if your scratch needs more than 200GB of space, you might be faced with a choice of dedicating a drive, or going with stripped RAID.
The pdf guide also has instructions on testing your setup with real work files to see what works best. You will probably change what you do and how you configure your system over time hopefully to make better use.
But first, use a basic setup until you have outgrown what it can do, if you do.
A great place to find reviews of RAID controllers and external cases is AMUG.
http://www.amug.com

And for performance, lot of great benchmarks on Barefeats.

Configuration needed for non-SAP system as Idoc sender
Hi,
We have a need to connect a non-SAP system which is sending an Idoc to XI. I understand that on the sender side, we need to create a tRFC port from the sender system with the server address of the Integration as the target host?
My question is on the PI side, are the configurations the same as a SAP system, i.e. maintaining the port in IDX1 and getting the metadata in IDX2 or will it be different?In PI, you will need to create a port in IDX1 with the same port name as the Idoc control record when the Idoc comes from the non SAP system.
As you cannot load the Idoc metdata from your actual source, you will need to copy the Idoc metadata from a actual SAP system or from the port of another SAP system in IDX2
Also, in the Business Service / System, make sure that the logical system name is maintained as per the Idoc control record of the source.

These master data are already configured with standard settings and number ranges. If you require different number ranges coming for master datas, then you need to configure the number ranges and then assign them to the material type etc. or if you require customizing material type etc you need to configure that as well.
Otherwise just start creating the master data, no problem.
