PP costing Formula for work center

Hello Experts
I am having issue to set up formula for given below case,
I have on my work center three parameters, x time (unit: Hr) and   Y Power (unit:kw).
i want to multiply both the parameters and get the answer in terms of energy Z (unit: kwh) paramenter.
so i already define activity type unit with KWH.
for example:
From Routing:
work center: 1111,
x: 10
Y: 20
so Z= X*Y
       = 10hr * 20kw = 200kwh
So which would i apply formula for all 3 parameters to get result 200 kwh? Do i need to assign 3 different formula to X,Y,Z   or   1 formula direct to Z?

Dear Nixal,
Assume this 10 hours is for some base quantity and this value gets changed based on operation(order quantity) means,you can
check with standard SAP formula SAP006 = Machine * Operation quantity / Base qty.
In case if the duration 10 hours is for any operation quantity means,then there is no relation between base quantity and
operation,so you have to assign a formula which has only duration alone.
Likewise you can decide and select the suitable formula and use the formula key in the costing tab to calculate the cost based on
the formula selected.

                       1. You create a standard value parameter in OP7B which is to be used in the formula.
                       2. Your standard value key created through OP19 should be containing this parameter which you have created and this key should be assigned in the basic data in the work center. Check generate box before saving the SVK.
                       3. You define the formula which uses this parameter through OP21. You should check allowed for calculation box.
                       4. In the costing tab of work center you maintain the formula against this parameter. If you want to cost it In that case and should also maintain an activity through KL01 and maintain a price for it through KP26. This activity should also then be maintained against the parameter in the costing tab of work center. Also check the reference indicator against the parameter.
                       5. Assign this work center to the operation in routing.
                       6. Create order, release and do confirmation, if you click actual data system should propose you the quantity as per calculation. Cost will be calculated if you maintained as per point 4, in the planned cost against the order.
                           Please check and revert.

ALE/iDoc for Work Center data transfer

Hello, community.
I am working on several interfaces for the PP and PM modules using iDocs/ALE.
One of the requirements is that only created and modified data must be distributed from R/3.
For Work Centers, we are using basic type LOIWCS02 and message type LOIWCS. We are generating iDocs through transaction POIM, which has two transfer modes: Complete (data for all Work Centers etc.) and Change (only new and updated data).
The Change Transfer Mode assumes you have set both Change Pointers and Change Documents for the objects to be transfered. Otherwise, it'll work just like the Complete Transfer Mode.
Our PP consultant told me there is no configuration to generate Change Documents for Work Center data modifications.
Can anybody give me other opinions? I'll resort to Z-table solutions only if I have no other options.

User Exit or DB-Table for Work Center (CR01)

Hi!
I have an external software which must be triggered when the user changes a work center in SAP (transaction CR01,CR02). I was looking for an user exit to do what ever is necessary but I couldn't find one.
So, does anybody know an user exit or BADI for work center?
Also possible:
The database table where work center are stored. So I could poll against this table and check if a work center was changed. I found the table SGOSHIST which log all modified objects in SAP. So this could maybe used to check for modified work center, I think.

How can I check this BADI. If I use SE18, it doas not exist, buit if I try to create it, the system tells me that it already exists in the SAP Original System... and asks me if I want to create a copy of it! I don't know what to do at this point!

I know, but if you change the description of the work center, it is stored in CRTX. there are a lot of CR* tables. It would be helpful to have a table which is updated every time a work center is modified!

Tables for routing (for work center)

hi friends,
I am doing report on routing but i did not get value for work center i got tables CRHD CRCA CRCO CRHH CRHS CRTX KAKO KAZY .
i try to get result by using link with PLPO and PLKO.
in TCode CA03 when i see the technical attributes it stors the dat ain structure PLPOD but i am unable to use it.
kindly can anybody tell me how to work center.

Change log for work center data

Hi,
I was looking for the table where the change header document for the work center is stored.I was able to find a transation CR10 which shows the changes and also the database table CDHRD.
When I am trying to view the changes that were made to the work center I find that the data does not exist in the tables.
I was curious to know this as for some transaction the data is being logged in their respective change table but not for Work Center changes.
Can anyone tell me as to why this is happening.
What I think is that some changes to the configuration are required in order to log the changes in the database.

Thanks for the information.
However i have another question.
The change table will have data only when it is activated in the configuration menu.
However is there any other way by which we can capture the previous data for the work center e.g. the changed by field. I want that the names of the users who has changed the wrok center currently and the name of the person who previously made changes to it.

I have tried PWKC.Got DUMP when executed.
Tried on SAP-Market place for help.Suggested not to use PWLC.
Please suggest alternative.

Number Range for Work Center

Am having a little concern regarding the number range for Work Center, kindly let me know where the number range for Work Center is maintained or from where it is picked up when we are using external no range assignment for Work Centers.

Actually the requirement is the client want that Equipment number must be the same as the Work Center Code, and Work Center code which i have decided is something like 0101001 & if i give the external no to the Equipment then the system doesnt take the same number instead it takes 101001 i.e. it ignores the initial "0" in the work center code. Actually I wanted to see the no range from where the work center numbering is being picked up, but later on i came to know that there is no such no range setting for work center instead it has contol from no range for object type. Shall look forward to your valuable inputs & guidance.

FORMULAS IN WORK CENTER (ELSE, IF, OR)

Hope you can help me with next scenario:
When defining formulas in work center I want to calculate values using conditionals (IF), let me explain it:
FORMULA NAME: XXXX
OPERATIONS:
LINE 1 : IF SAP_02 > 0 THEN ( SAP_02 + SAP_09) ELSE (SAP_02 * SAP_09 / SAP_08 / SAP_11 )
LINE 2: EMPTY
LINE 3 : EMPTY
Unfortunately the system does no perform any action because the operands IF and ELSE are not allowed.
Any idea?????

Hi
No you cannot create this type of Formula in SAP std, other way of mapping is you have to create different std keys and you have to have to assing in different workcenters at the time of routing or production order you need to assing that type of workcenter, just iam thinking in that manner, till what extent it works.

PP IDOC Message for Work Center upload with Costing

Hi all,
I'm looking for apropriate IDOC message type to import Costing data with Work Centers.
I found some of them to pass WorkCenters data, the best is LOIWCS I think, but I don;t see a possibility to passing costing data. ( e.q. KOSTL domain field)
Any suggestions? Is there any other IDOC to pass Costing data for WC's?

Cost Centers for Work Centers

Dear All,
In our senario we have defined 30 Work Centers required. here the Activity are only for 2 (labour, Mechaine Hr). In KP26 we have to maintain the Standard Price. How can we build a logic in this. Can we create 30 Cost Centers. Y becoz each end eavery work center have the different price for Labour. for EX;
WC1 - 150 Labour Cost
WC2 - 180 Labour Cost
WC3 - 190 Labour Cost
Like this we have to calculate. I hope it is required to create 30 Cost Center to assaign wot Wrok Centers. Here we are going to KP06. We have a standrd pirce to calculate.

IF the business is interested in capturing using different cost centers means then you can create individual cost center and
assign it to the work center and define the rates in KP26.So only one activity type will be there but different cost center.
The otherway is creating multiple activity types say LABH1,LABH2....and creating different rates for the activity type ans same
cost center combination in KP26.But here the challenge is you have to assign the activity types properly under costing tab
against the formulas.
Check and revert back with your queries.

I have few quires on the subject cited .
in the define formula parameters for work centers i have found the and i could not understand the meaning and usage
especially of SAP_11 operation splits , what they mean ?
SAP_09     Operation quantity
SAP_10     Other formula
SAP_11     Operation splits
once we define work centers formulas with these formula parameters how these work ? when standard cost is run for the part number how it takes these defined formulas in to consideration to give the manufacturing cost
please provide some thoughts on these work center formula parameters and formulas and usage

standard values like handling time , machine time etc.. if we can not enter for an operation ,then for the calculation of these we
define work center formulas and through this system picks the handling and machine times while calculating the standard cost

i am really not clear with these work center formulas and their usage
1. for example in our system for a work center the formula defined as
ZPT100 --Cost - Painting & Laquering
formula = ( PITCH CONSTANT * Operation quantity ) / ( JIG DENSITY * Conveyor Speed )
this is defined for the standard value Jig density used in painting
2. for handling time the below formula is defined
ZMG001------COST - Handlng Time
formula = HANDLING TIME * Operation quantity / Base quantity / Operation splits
3. What is the difference between base quantity and operation quanity ?
   is it that base quantity is for the quantity with reference to which we are creating routing ?
operation quantity is the out put of that operation ?
if so operation quantity and all where we mention in routing ? i understand if we wrok on discrete we create routing with base quantity 1 and based on the order quantity , it will become the operation qty
but we work on REm
how to go about ?
can you please thorw ur thoughts on this ?

Capacity planning for Work Center

I programmed time for a Work Center on internal activity, for 40 hr using 100% of one resource, the work center it has a capacity of 8 hr each day, the activity gets a duration of 5 days and I indicated that it has to begin the first day of the next month.
When I executed transaction CM01, I notice that the 40 hours are planned for the actual day and don´t respect the dates of the internal activity, I think it is a problem with the work center but do not find the error.
Any suggestion where to look for?
The data used for creating the Work Center on Capacities:
- Capacity Category : 002 Person
- Other formula: SAP008
The data used for capacity:
- Base unit of meas.:H
- Start: 08:00:00
- Finish: 17:00:00
- Capacity utilization: 100
- No. of indiv. cap.:1
- Unit: H
- Relevant to finite scheduling: active
- Can be used by several operations: active
- Long-term planning: active
The data used for creating the Work Center on Scheduling:
- Capacity Category: 002 Person
- Other formula: SAP004
- Work dimension: Time
- Work unit: H
