PP won't import audio in .ts file recorded using PCTV software on PC

I record TV programmes on my PC (Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate) using PCTV Systems software. The files created are .ts
Importing into Premiere Pro CC 2014 works fine for the video, but no audio is imported. Does anyone have a solution, other than transcoding the .ts to .avi, .mov etc? (I have done this, it works very well, but is very time-consuming).
The .ts file is like this:

my MBP won't import RAW or jpg files.  Worked fine before.  Could it be Mountain Lion?

By way of a double check I just imported photos, both jpg and RAW, without any problems into Aperture 3.3.2 on Mountain Lion without any problems what so ever.

  • IMovie HD won't import audio files

We have several dozen sound effects CDs that we imported to AIFF files through iTunes. Now, iMovie won't import the AIFF files. If you select them using Import or just drag and drop them onto the audio timeline, it just beeps and doesn't import them.
Importing them into FCP ans playing them back through the QT player and iTunes works fine.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'd really like to avoid having to reimport the sounds off the CDs.

I did find that if the offending files were upsampled to 48 khz/16 bit instead of the usual 44.1 khz/16 bit, iMovie would accept them without any problem.
    iMovie's help file says:
"Tip: For the best compatibility with iMovie HD transitions, effects, titles, and the Ken Burns Effect, you should record your video with 48 kilohertz (kHz), 16-bit audio. Check your camera's manual for instructions on setting the audio bit rate and depth."
Even though these aren't video files with audio, it seems like it likes 48 khz/16 bit files.

  • Premiere Pro CS3 won't import audio on an avi file

I just recently borrowed a friend's HD camera to film some scenes for a video. I had to import them onto my computer using a converter because my computer is a windows vista (  >:(  )  and the files on the camera are MTS files (they aren't compatible with CS3 anyway).
The first time I converted these files to avi files Premiere read them perfectly fine and also allowed me to use the audio that was with them. I soon decided though that the audio and video quality that I had converted them into was rather crappy so I converted the files again to much high quality (video bitrate 10000 kbps and audio bitrate 448 kbps).
By this time, I decided the video quality was what I wanted so I deleted the files off my friend's camera and returned the camera to him. (Note: the files played perfectly fine in windows media player and several other video editing software that I possess)
I opened Premiere after taking the camera back and discovered (to my disappointment and frustration) that whenever I tried to import the new files, Premiere would only import the video and not the audio. I would place the file on the video track and the audio wouldn't import onto the audio track.
Could this be a problem with the project preferences I chose? Or is it something else? Is there any hope of getting it to work?
One option I've considered doing is converting all the audio on the files to a different format or converting the video files to another format but my harddrive is running out of space as it is and I could lose quality by doing that.

(Not to mention the time it would take to reconvert the files. I've already spent several hours converting it from the camera. At the moment I also do not possess a solid avi converting program that I could trust.)

  • Won't Import Audio

This seems like a very simple thing... but I can't import audio in GarageBand 3.
This is audio that was recorded on another computer (a PC using Adobe Audition, if that matters).
I've tried all different formats: mp3, wav, aiff
    Nothing.
These files play fine in iTunes. I can even play them in GarageBand's Media Browser.
For some reason, when I try to drag-and-drop them into the timeline, nothing happens. (Normally, you get that green "+" sign before you drop the audio.) I don't get an error message. It just does nothing.
    Any ideas?

  • Pro cs3 not importing audio in avi files

ok it seems for some reason that my cs 3 is not importing audio in my avi files the video channel imports but no audio  anyone know a reason why this is please

AVI is but a "wrapper." This ARTICLE will give you much more background, plus direct you on finding out what is inside that wrapper.
It might be as simple as a setting change, but conversion will likely be the path to take.
Good luck, and let us know what G-Spot (in the article) tells you about that/those file(s).

  • Importing Audio for ppt files in Captivate

How do you import audio and sync over multiple powerpoint slides? I'm using Captivate 6

    Welcome,
But this is a Captivate forum, not a PPT forum.  If you use Captivate only for converting ppt-slides maybe a plug-in would be a better idea (Adobe Presenter, iSpring).
Record the audio in Captivate, using the Audio menu. You'll get one audio clip for each slide. And then you use the timeline to synchronize the appearance of objects. But if you are importing PPT-slides that have already animations and timings, you have to know that in CP you end up with a movie file, a recording of the PPT-slide, so synchronizing with a movie is not that easy as you perhaps know. While recording the audio you can watch the movie play in CP.

  • IPhoto won't import Nikon D70 raw files after upgrade to Leopard

I recently upgraded to Leopard, and yesterday, I hooked my Nikon D70 up to the computer. iPhoto auto starts, and tells me that there are pictures to import. When I click the import button, iPhoto tells me that it is importing the photos, (which are in Nikon raw format) but in fact, it is not. The photos don't "flash" across the screen as they are being imported as they used to. When iPhoto thinks it is done, there are no new photos on my hard drive. A spotlight search confirms that fact.
Jpeg photos still import just like they used to. Only raw photos don't import.
If I manually open iPhoto, and click on file then import, I can find my cameras CF card, and highlight the photos I want to import, and iPhoto will then import raw photos. It won't import them with the simple attach the camera, one click import that I have grown used to. My D70 is a supported camera for iPhoto, and it used to work in OSX 10.4. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?
Thanks in advance for any help offered.

I had the same prob with my mac and my D70.
I did an upgrade to leopard from tiger. After that, iPhoto would not import photos. The camera and pics would show up in the app, and would let me try an import, but it would come up with an error saying "20 photos were in an incompatible format and could not be imported".
Since upgrading to Leopard, image capture wouldn't work either. App would run and then wouldn't. Would crash and error. Wouldn't import photos at all either.
I was able to manually drag photos from my camera to the desktop and then import into iPhoto.
iPhoto wasn't the only thing playing up on my mac (networking, file permissions, backlit keyboard, software update, ffmpeg app were all problematic), so I backed up everything I wanted to keep to an external drive and did an erase and install of Leopard. This has fixed practically every problem I had. Do the same if you can, cos it has made my mac a pleasure to use again.

  • Lightroom 4 won't import any of my files

    Hi,
I have been using Lightroom 4 for about 4 weeks now with no problems importing files. I have the Canon 5D 3 and to start with I was converting the files to Dng and importing them from the hard disk, then when the 4.1 candidate was released I downloaded that and was able to Import straight into Lightroom.
As from yesterday I can not import anything into Lightroom at all. I have tried going back to converting to dng and importing from the hard drive, I then tried to import some jpegs still no and I have tried files from my 7D with different memory cards to rule out any conflict here but still nothing. I have un-installed and re-installed the program with no success, I just get a box saying "These files have not been imported because they cannot be read" but with no more explanation why.

Won't IMPORT any files!!! Have deinstalled and re-installed LR CC, downloaded the latest DNG converter, used that to convert my Canon 1D X files to DNG, tried to import those DNG files, error. Error reads as follows:
    Import Results
Some import operations were not performed.
The following files were not imported because the could not be read. (383)
    Suggestions anyone? Thank you!

  • IPhoto 7.1 won't import .CR2 (RAW) image files

I'm shooting with a Canon 30D, and had no problem importing RAW images (.CR2 files) into iPhoto 08. However, after installing the update for iPhoto 7.1, I get an error message saying that the .CR2 file type isn't recognized. What the ****?
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

My understanding is that iPhoto is able to read RAW files that the underlying OS can handle (which is why you see updated RAW compatibility added with various OS updates).
    I have a 30D and have upgraded to 7.1
I just opened a folder of CR2 files and dragged and dropped into iPhoto and they imported fine. I have not tried downloading direct from camera as I tend to copy things over using a card reader.
So, in terms of troubleshooting, I suggest:
1 - can you see open the CR2 using preview? If not sounds like an OS issue.
2 - can you see thumbnails of the CR2 if they're in a folder somewhere? If not consider if the CR2 are corrupted.
3 - If no to 2, then can you open the images using other (Canon) software?
If yes to 1 and 2, the it's likely to be an iPhoto issue.

  • Lr5 won't import nikon 5200 nef files.

My Lightroom 5 doesn't import my Nikon D5200 raw files.

LR 4.3 or higher will open D5200 NEFs if nothing is wrong with them.  Since LR 5 is having problems, the files are likely corrupted.
The most common problem is that older Nikon software Transfer/ViewNX was used to work with these newer files and the obsolete software has changed something in the files that makes them unrecognizable to Adobe products.
First test with an NEF that you copy directly from the memory card to the hard-drive of your computer without using or touching it with any Nikon products.  If this works then you’ve likely found the source of the problem, and either install Nikon products that are at least as new as your camera or stop using Nikon products with raws from your newer camera.
The corruption to already corrupted files can be reversed using a utility from here:

  • Importing PDF and Photoshop files since using Windows 7 64bit

    Hi,
I recently upgraded (?) to Windows 7 64bit.  I have notices when importing PDF and photoshop files into the InDesign document, the resolution of the graphics are off and the lines are choppy.  Even the fonts are illegible.  What happened?  Are there some settings that I need to into and tweek to bring everything back into alignment and focus?  (If those are the correct words.)  When I view the PDF files in windows, they are normal.  It is only when imported into InDesign that they are distorted.
    Thank you for any help.
    Clark

I run Maximized, so the window fills the available space (you can set the shortcut properties to open that way so you don't have to do it each time), or you could resize the window from the top, then grabe the title bar and drag it upward on the screen. Windows should remember the size and position, but it may not, being Windows, after all.

  • Record Audio in mp3 file format using FMS

I am Recording Audio Using FMS which will record Audio file in FLV File Format default But I like to Record in MP3 File Format. Is it Possible.
And I also Record Video In MP4 File Format using h264 encode. Which Give me Video File in MP4 File Format but When i will try to play that MP4 File it Didn't play. So, I post-processed video with a tool called F4V Post Processor. Now That MP4 Video File Play But Didn't Give me Sound in that Video.
    My Code is:
            var h264Settings:H264VideoStreamSettings = new H264VideoStreamSettings();
            h264Settings.setProfileLevel(H264Profile.MAIN, H264Level.LEVEL_3);
            ns.videoStreamSettings = h264Settings;
            ns.publish("mp4:"+FILENAME+".mp4","record");
I search Lot but didn't get the solution. So, Please Give me Solution for Both thing.

The .flv format is a "container" format, not a video format.
So that means that inside the container, you can have a video file and/or an audio file or even just an audio file.. which most likely is already an mp3 file. Use something like "FLV Extract" to break open the container and see:
    http://moitah.net/
But really, for any Web delivery of audio, the .flv (audio only) method works just fine. Lots of media players available for the Flash .flv file.
    For example:
Sounds from my bunk on the Lady Washington
    http://exploreolympics.com/reports/?p=2857
Scroll down to third media player.
A little quiet to start with... but this is a .flv file with just an mp3 audio file inside.
    Best of luck!
