PPC Support for OS X Server

What time period will OS X Server be supporting the PPC-platform? I read it somewhere but don't remeber where.
I have to buy a Xserve in the months to come so as it is highly probable that the Xserves will be updated as the last product it will be too long to wait for them. That will be no problem if at least the next two OS X Server releases will continue to support the G5.

>Cocoa is not magic pixie dust.  And you don't seem to know which apps are Cocoa and which are not.
I did not say that it was pixie dust. My mistake, Bridge is not Cocoa only Lightroom and Acrobat are (or at least are using Cocoa elements [I seriously doubt that Adobe implemented a cut buffer in Lightroom]). The point I was hinting at was that Adobe has scrambled both Cocoa and Carbon beyond recognition.
>And how do you know what is more or less work?
>What exactly is your claim based on?
The AdobeOwl and owlcanvas frameworks include more than 15MB of compiled code, which represents a staggering amount of source code—someone had to write all that—for the CS4 interface.
>...please talk to Apple.  It's their code, and only Apple can fix the bugs in their code.
So Apple has to adapt its OS to the whims of application developers? What hubris!
>Adobe has identified the bugs in Apple's code, submitted the bugs to Apple to be fixed, and is waiting for them to be fixed just like you are.
>Really, we can't fix bugs in Apple's code.  What is so hard to understand about that?
Bridge has a highly customised interface with tabs, rearrangeable panels and whatnot...is Carbon (like Photoshop) but is fully Mac compatible.
I am asking that Adobe avoid using code that is not compatible, the same way any developer would.
"I am sorry sir, but you are going to have to talk to Microsoft if you want our website to work in Internet Explorer."
Next time you buy an OS, make sure that it bears the "Adobe Compatible" sticker.
I would be embarrassed to publish a piece of software capable of this:
Exhibit G: Note that the Photoshop window is active yet somehow the title bar managed to get behind two Safari windows, only Adobe apps are capable of this.

  • ODI's CDC Support for MS SQL Server 2000

    Hi,
Does ODI provides CDC with log for MS SQL Server 2000? I read somewhere that we need to get a separately priced adapter for this because ODI supports only trigger based CDC for MS SQL Server 2000 and 2005.
Could anyone please shed some light on this?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Are you able to find out any info on this?
Appreciate your help on any leads..

  • Enterprise System 5 support for Windows 2003 server

    Hi,
Can you tell me if it is possible to run Sun Java Enterprise System 5 on a windows server and get the portal server to work?
Weare currently using JBoss ... and not very keen on it as a portal server.
I tried installing ES5 but was unable to get the portal server to play, then i read something about no support for windows 2003 in ES5.
Can someone confirm if this is true, unfortunately I am tied into using a windows server for lots of reasons. Is the download for ES4 still available? I believe Portal 6.0 instead of 7 is still ok for windows Server 2003 ?
If Portal 7.0 will play with windows, is there a guide somewhere that you can point me to as I am totally new to portals and could use a bit of an idiots guide.
    Any info welcome !!
    Cheers

The support for Sun Java System Portal Server on Windows in Java Enterprise System 5 is limited to evaluation and development only. The Windows distribution for Portal Server (PS 7.1 Update 2) is provided as a pre-configured install. To install it, you unzip the file, and run a small setup script to change the hostname information. The pre-configured installation is setup with a fixed install location, ports, etc. so it is not really suitable for a deployment for that reason. Once installed, all of the functionality is there otherwise except the ability to patch the system.
Note: I just tried going through the download links, and there is something broken in the Sun download center. I've sent an internal notification about this.

  • Are there any Adobe's partners provide licensing and support for Adobe Content Server in Germany?

    Hello,
My name is Quang from Vietnam . My company is interested about Content Server and I am looking for Adobe's partners that provide licensing Content Server (like Datalogics) in Germany. I have some friends there and I hope they can help. If you know any companies, please tell me.
    Thank you

I would say that it was very funny to stay on Amsterdam, but i really can't remember so much of these days, jeje

  • Please add support for using Slim Server with ITunes

I just purchased a SqueezeBox and it awesome! However, it uses Slim Server to stream music to it, and all the cool songs I purchased on Itunes are not available due to the DRM (I hate DRM!). I purchased these songs, they live on the Mac, and all I want to do is stream them to this slim device and listen to them. This should be allowed.
    Thank you.
      Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Apple has not to date licensed their DRM to anyone other than Morotola (for inclusion in a couple of phones), so it's not likely to happen anytime soon, if ever.
BTW, we're just your fellow users here. Feedback to Apple is best submitted through the feedback pages. For feedback on iTunes itself, use the Mac OS X feedback; the iTunes feedback is just at this point for suggesting new content to the iTunes Music Store.

    Hi
Does anybody know if Microsoft SQL Server 2014 supported and/or does it work, when installing SCVMM 2012. Current documentation stills says SQL Sever 2012.
    Thanks

    hi,
SQL Server 2014 is not supported: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn281933.aspx
I did not test if SQL 2014 works.

  • Support for JES Web Server?

How does access manager integrate with the jes web server? Do you have to install a policy agent like any other web server? Or is there more integration between the two products?

I'm having the same issue... How do you get the Web Policy agent to work with the webserver provided w/JES 2005Q1?
I downloaded the Agent for Web Server 6.1, and it wouldn't install... said that it required 6.0 or 6.1, and 6.1 is what is provided with JES, so I'm not sure why it didn't work.

  • Support for Java Server FAce in Workshop

    Dear All,
Does anyone have any idea if and when Workshop will include support for the Java
    Server Faces (JSF) framework?
    Thank you
    Abe

While I cannot share any specific product plans from any vendor, I would like to point out that all of the vendors of IDEs in the Java web application space are members of the JSR-127 expert group that is defining JavaServer Faces. Indeed, one of the primary design goals for the APIs is to ensure that development tools have sufficient information available to create high quality user interfaces at design time, so we're doing all we can to enable this kind of thing.
As JavaServer Faces matures, I think you will be very pleased with the quality and quantity of tools support for it.

  • Coldfusion support for Server 2012

When are installers going to be made avaliable for Server 2012 for Cold Fusion?.
Adobe have offically said that installers for windows 8 are 3-5  months away as of September 22nd, 2012 but we havent heard anything about Server 2012?
Server 2012 was released to MSDN on the 4th of Sepetember. 4 Months seems a long time to wait with no word on installers or support for CF on Server 2012. Are you telling me Adobe doesnt have a MSDN account and only got access to Server 2012 at the same time as the generaly public?

Unfortunately we are all paying the price for Oracle deferring the end of life of Java 6 from November to Feb. It sounded like Adobe were going roll all this stuff into their patch to add Java 7 support to CF9 and CF10, which they would have needed to get done by Nov. However now it seems they've slacked off and have left it to the last minute. I guess the good news is that this should all be done within the next month or so. The bad news is... it won't give us much chance to test the new release between when Adobe patch CF and before the Java 6 EOL.

  • Anti-Virus for Sun Messeging server

    Dear All
I have installed the sun messaging platform with no serious problem and everything looks okay, but really I don't have any idea how to integrate it with Anti-Virus software, the sun document is not complete and also 3rd parties document is not clear, I am looking to integrate it with Clamav which is free.
    BR
    Mo

    Description      Top
This article describes a month-long process that yielded a working, complete Sun Java[TM] System Messaging Server installation, including SpamAssassin and Clam-AV. Installation described includes Solaris[TM] 9 X86 and Redhat Linux AS 2.1u2 tests.
    Document Body      Top
    A Small Mail Server, step-by-step
Goal: Build a fully functional Sun Java System Messaging Server (Sun JES2), on X86 platform, with SpamAssassin and Clam-AV, all on a single system.
Goal for this document: To note all major steps, and show pitfalls overcome.
    1.
Hardware chosen: Standard PC, using an AMD 1700+ processor, ATI video board, Linksys 10/100 ethernet card. This system happened to be in my parts bin, all as separate parts. Motherboard chosen, MSI KM2M, with both video and network cards disabled.
    2.
Operating system: Both Solaris 9 X86 and Linux AS 2.1 u2 are supported for the Messaging Server chosen, and both were evaluated.
    1.
Linux installer seems more able to recognize the above hardware, and install the correct drivers. In fact, the Linux installer was happy with the built-in networking, but not able to use the built-in video capability. When the system was installed and tested, approximately 25% of the messages sent from Messaging Server to SpamAssassin resulted in tcp errors, causing spam to be delivered to mailboxes. Troubleshooting this problem appeared to be more difficult than changing OS.
    2.
Solaris 9 X86 was able to configure itself for the video card, without error, but was not able to recognize the network card. A driver for this network card was found via links given in the Sun website for reported to work network cards. I found no documentation for exactly how to make the OS aware of the network card, so after some trial and error, here is that solution:
    1.
    Install the OS, without networking.
    2.
Install the network card driver, per the documentation that comes with it, and test with the included software.
    3.
Issue the sys-unconfig command to the OS. When the system reboots, configure all network settings.
    1.
Installation of Sun JES2 is done normally, and proceeds without problems.
    2.
The version of Perl that is included with Solaris[TM] was compiled with the Sun Forte[TM] compiler, and so does not know about other compilers. When you attempt to use CPAN or a makefile.PL to compile additional software, such as SpamAssassin or any of the optional sofware needed for that, you get errors. If you do not wish to purchase a Sun/Forte compiler, you can install gcc from the Sun Free Software site, and download/compile a new Perl version with that. This is what I did.
    3.
Follow SpamAssassin documentation to install SpamAssassin. Follow Sun documentation for integration into JES Messaging Server. Test.
    4.
Download, compile and install Clam-AV virus scanner. I put the freshclam -quiet command into the configutil setting for Messaging Server, as local.schedule.freshclam. This updaes the AV database. I used every 30 minutes as an interval.
    5.
Integration of the Clam-AV is open for discussion. There are two different ways to do the integration. One way is through the documented conversion channel. This is certainly a good way, but has some drawbacks. Conversion Channel integration requires that a new process be started for each message, causing some overhead, and limiting performance. Another way is to use a third-party product, such as Amavis to communicate between SMTP and Clam-AV. I chose this second route for this installation. Install Amavis-new per documentation provided with it. We're using the amavisd daemonized version in our example. /etc/amavis.conf contains the settings for amavisd. I used port 10024 to send messages to amavisd, and 10025 to send the scanned results back to Messaging Server. I turned off amavis' ability to also call SpamAssassin, so I would not be scanning messages twice. I configured Messaging Server's inbound channels with the aliasdetourhost keyword, pointing to a new channel I created to handle Amavisd.
My imta.cnf now has these new lines:
    ! tcp_scan
    [] $E$R${tcp_scan,$L}$U%[$L]@tcp_scan-daemon
    and in section II:
    ! tcp_local
    tcp_local smtp mx single_sys subdirs 20 dequeue_removeroute maxjobs 7 pool SMTP_POOL maytlsserver allowswitchchannel saslswitchchannel tcp_auth missingrecipientpolicy 4 aliasdetourhost tcp_scan-daemon
    tcp_local-daemon
    ! tcp_scan
    tcp_scan smtp single_sys subdirs 5 notices 1 backoff "pt8h" "pt24h" dequeue_removeroute maxjobs 7 pool SMTP_POOL daemon [127.0.0.1] port 10024
    tcp_scan-daemon
    Dispatcher.cnf adds:
    [SERVICE=SMTP-SCAN]
    DEBUG=-1
    PARAMETER=CHANNEL=tcp_scan
    PORT=10025
    IMAGE=IMTA_BIN:tcp_smtp_server
    LOGFILE=IMTA_LOG:tcp_scan-server.log
    STACKSIZE=2048000
Option.dat (this is just the spamassassin stuff):
    spamfilter_config_file=/opt/SUNWmsgsr/config/spamassassin.opt spamfilter_library=/opt/SUNWmsgsr/lib/libspamass.so spamfilter_string_action=data:,require "fileinto"; fileinto "$U"
    Message flow, is now:
    1.
    Message received by MTA
    2.
    Forward a copy to SpamAssassin
    3.
    Receive a binary spam/not-spam answer.
    4.
Forward message to Amavis, for virus scanning. (through tcp_scan channel).
    5.
Receive message back from Amavis, through tcp_scan channel, for delivery to mailbox.
    6.
    Deliver message to mailbox.
This setup has been working, without error for about 5 days, so far. I've received several thousand messages, identified and removed about a dozen virus-laden messages, and over 800 spam messages. My intention is to move to production by next week. As far as I can tell, the only downside to this configuration is that the mail.log_current shows two enqueue lines and two dequeue lines for each message. We get to see the initial enqueue, the dequeue to tcp_scan, an enqueue from tcp_scan to ims-ms, and the final dequeue. This could be configured differently.

  • Workshop only supports deploy to admin server

Multiple servers found in domain configuration config.xml. Are there any plans to support managed servers in the near future ?

    Hi,
You can configure your Workshop to make support for other Managed server also.
If you found any problem in this let me know I will help you.

  • Any possibility to get SYSLOG and SNMP support for the E8350?

    Hi,
It would be so nice to get some more basic functionality "OR more advance ones" to be able to se what is happening on the router, what it is doing and how the status of it is!
Couldn't Linksys add support for a syslog server or snmp to the E8350 router, would help alot to determine what's going on!
Or to enable some more / better logging support to a local attached USB stick or similar...
I remember from one of the old watchguard firewalls i had, it was superb in displaying in and outgoing traffic and what was blocked..
So a more advanced live traffic view lor ogging option would be greate!
    /J

I think you are at the point where you are asking for advanced tools but even though its a very pricey router, its still considered a home router. Linksys needs to evaluate their business model on this stuff. Prices more in line with SoHo Business equipment but features of a home router. To me it seems like they have crossed a line. Should reconsider their audience at this price point and open up access to more features but that may need to give out better access to the router instead of the GUI. Need to open up telnet or ssh to a shell that has those features available but would still not grant access to files that could brick the router. It couldn't be that hard.

  • Trying to buy single instance support for FMS from Adobe. Need help.

    Hey all,
I've spent all day on the phone with Adobe trying to purchase single incident support for some server side developement questions on Flash Media Interactive Server 3.0.
So far I have not been able to find anyone at Adobe that knows how to do this. The web site says it is possible and they even give a number to call but I've talked to at least three people at that number and no one could help me. I've also talked to people in Sales, Volume license sales, and at least three different areas in technical support and no one seems to know how to get it done. Has anyone ever successfully purchased single incident support for FMS 3 and if so is there some specific number I could call to talk to someone who can make it happen.
    -John

I am answering my own question. After spending an entire afternoon on the phone being bounced around between Adobe technical support and Adobe sales, I've come to the determination that you cannot buy single incident support for Flash Media Server. At least I was never able to talk to someone at Adobe that knew if it was possible. The number on the web site where it specifically says to call for purchase of single incident support for FMS is not the correct number.

  • Selective XML Index feature is not supported for the current database version , SQL Server Extended Events , Optimizing Reading from XML column datatype

Team , Thanks for looking into this  ..
As a last resort on  optimizing my stored procedure ( Below ) i wanted to create a Selective XML index  ( Normal XML indexes doesn't seem to be improving performance as needed ) but i keep getting this error within my stored proc . Selective XML

Is there ANY alternative way i can optimize below stored proc ?

On my iPad Mini, when I delete an email from the inbox (and it goes into Trash), it immediately deletes that email from the server (ATT/Yahoo).  I've called support for both ATT and Apple and can't find a way to have the emails remain on the server.
My husband and I share an email address and if he misses a day checking email on his notebook, he doesn't receive the items that I have sent to Trash on my iPad Mini.
    Appreciate suggestions.
[The curious thing is, if I "move" the deleted emails from Trash on my iPad Mini into the Inbox, I can go to my notebook, open my online email and they are back in my ATT/Yahoo Inbox.]
