PPDS - Order should start at the shift start
Hi Experts,
We have SNP orders that always start at 00:00:00 and finish at midnight 23:59:59
We convert them to PPDS orders, and we would like the orders to always begin at the shift start, which is 6:00 am. Any ideas on how we can make the PPDS orders to start or finish at a fixed time.

I have shifts and correct start dates maintained in the resource. but the problem still remains.
The system takes the end date of the SNP order as a basis for backward scheduling, and not the shift start or end date. I beleive that is the standard behaviour.
Is there a way to force the PPDS orders to start or end at a specific time?

Should PPDS orders consume capacity in the Capacity View in 9ASNP94?
We currently only use PPDS, but are looking to implement SNP for mid-range planning and S&OP. I would like to demonstrate the simplicity of the capacity view in SNP, but the planned orders in PPDS do not consume the capacity of the Resource in the standard planning book/view SNP94(2). We are using Single mixed production resources which I thought were suitable for both PPDS and SNP planning. This is a particular concern because I would expect that the SNP and PPDS horizons will have to cross over and so PPDS and SNP will have to take into account the capacity consumed by orders in the other module.
Any help will be appreciated!

As standard only the continuous consumption is maintained in the PDS by the CIF, the bucket consumption (which is the SNP view of capacity) is missing.

Can't get my MacBook Pro to start up. Have shut it down several times and tried restarting but all I get is a grey screen with the spinning icon. Apple Support online suggested starting with power button followed immediately with the shift key. Same results. Also tried power button with shift key, command, and V. Black screen appeared instead with lots of data language but still no starting. This final page was suppose to result in an internal system check and restart but nothing happened and the black screen remains.Where do I go from here? Scheduled for the Genius Bar tomorrow but would like to resolve this beforehand.
You may be having a hardware problem that you cannot resolve on your own. Nevertheless...
...hold down the command and R keys whilst booting to try to get to your Recovery partition. If you can, use Disk Utility to try to Verify your boot drive (usually named "Macintosh HD" unless you've renamed it). If the verification fails, try to repair your hard drive. If everything appears to be OK, restart.
If you can't get into your Recovery partition, your problem is likely hardware related. If so, keep your appointment and see what the Apple techs have to say.

When I start Firefox, the process starts running but no browser window appears.
Recently, I tried to start up Firefox and no browser appeared. Not sure of what to do, I uninstalled Firefox and installed the latest version. I have still have the same problem. The process appears to be running in the task manager, but no browser window ever comes up. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (operating system is up to date minus two security updates). I believe that I installed v9.0.1. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have the same problem - every time I close firefox (using either the red x or by selecting file ---> exit) the program appears to close normally, but the firefox.exe *32 process continues to run. If I try to re-open firefox normally I get a message that the program is still running and I need to go into task manager and manually kill the process.
I could also kill the process from the command prompt, but both of those methods are slow and annoying. This issue has only been occurring for the last 24 hours or so; to the best of my knowledge I haven't downloaded any new software or updated any plug-ins that would have caused a switch from firefox's normal awesomeness. Norton doesn't show any new viruses or other nastiness on my computer.
I'm running 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium edition. -
Actvities before the Project Start Date
Every now & then, we will get an activity which is a precursor to a project kicking off as a project start date so in theory from that start date would be known as either week 1 or Month 1.
So in this case, any actvivity starting a month for example before the kick off date should be shown in "- Month 1" but in Project 2013, it takes this new date as Month 1 even when the Project Start Date has not changed.
The earlier versions of Project, you could manipulate this so what's changed?...Is there a way around this?
I am not using Project server as will never use it to save myself from grief & stress!...prefer to keep it simple!I couldn't test it with 2013 but with 2010 the week numbering starts at the project start date, so you can have a project start date on a certain date which will be your week1, and then set predecessors with no impact on the numbering.
If you confirm that this behavior jas changed with 2013 version, an option could be to enter as manually scheduled tasks with no dates the tasks prior to the project start date, using custom fields to enter the actual dates.

I checked out the Mozilla Personas, saw one I liked, and added on. When I start Firefox, the Mozilla start-up page shows as usual with Google on it. The Persona I chose barely shows, and only in the Toolbars area at the top of the screen. Can I modify the start-up page to not show Google, and access Google another way, so that my Persona will show on the whole start-up page?

Publishing point is not starting in the windows media server
In the setup VCS expressway starter pack is used as call controller & the endpoints are registered to it. TCS is used for recording. A existing publishing point is used for live streaming using windows media server. This publishing point is not started when the recording starts for this recording alias. Windows media server is running locally in the TCS. I could see the below in the server logs. Please note that this setup has worked with this configuration for more than a year and it stopped working now. Your help on this greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My Playhead thing won't start at the beginning.
In every project when i hit play it starts in the middle of the song? :{
If Cycle is activated, the playback starts at the cycle start point. You might have a Marquee selection, which might trigger this specific behavior, if you set up the play button that way. After a long clock on the play button you'll see this:
Deselect "Play marquee Selection" and let us know, if this cures your issue.

Movie doesnt start at the right place.
Using idvd 7.0.3 I created a DVD project. Ive made many w/o a problem. Each has two movies. Each movie on the second screen shows 2 menus "play movie" and "scene selections" (the chapters).
Problem:
When I click "Play movie" the movie instead of starting at the beginning, starts 3/4 of the way through. I cant seem to fix it! Whats the fix?
Thanks so much!I am having a similar problem- From an iMovie HD 6.04 project with three chapters, in iMovie 7.03 "Play Movie" from the main menu plays the last chapter instead of starting at the beginning of the movie.
Scene selection allows for access to all three parts of the movie.
Last time I used iDVD '08 for this project, there was no problem. -
How can I start my pics to music 15 seconds or so after the music starts?
I'm new to iPad and imovie. I'm wanting to do a video to a song but need the pics to start hen the singing starts, not at the same time as the music starts. How do I do that.
I don't know if iMovie has any graphics editing features, to put the text on or not. On a PC I'd suggest paint.

The finder window for an external USB hard disk suddenly started separating files by time (today, yesterday, etc.) and stopped allowing me to change column width, order, etc. Also the header bar shifted to flat white from gray.
All was normal until the icon for the disk stopped showing up on the desktop when I would plug it in. I rebooted the computer, and the disk icon now shows up but this new look to the finder window started as a result. The hard disk does not have this problem when I use it on another Mac running Snow leopard. Also, two other external hard disks that I use on this computer running lion 7.4 still have the normal header bars with columns that can be reordered, etc.
I have tried looking in preferences and other places but have not seen this discussed.Well duh - I finally figured out that somehow in the View options for the hard drive, the "arrange by" option had been changed to "by date" from "none". Not sure how that happened, I had never used the "view options" menu tem before. Changing "arrange by" back to "none" gets the gray column headers and the collapsible folder icons back.

We have created a manual planned order for one buy item in ASCP workbench for some qty and released it.
But, we are not able to get its requisition created in source.
When we check the PO_Interface _Errors table, we found that it is errored out with error as --
Need By Date Should be equal or after the effective start date .
Can anyone please help me out to find the cause of this issue. Any help/pointer in this regard will be highly appreciated.

We found the root cause of the issue.
Its BPA was not having any Effective start date mentioned in its terms. So we put it as BPA creation date and ran the data collection and plan run.
After that we were able to see its BPA release created without any error.
