PPDS planned order picking p an extra component when published to ECC

Hi Gurus,
When i create a PPDs Planned order the components are correct ,but when i send the order to ECC,its picking one extra component (whihc is already there in component list).Strange part is that the extra component whihc is popping up in ECc is withlut item category.
Any idea why publishing for only this material is behaving weird.
Please let me know if any suggestion
Thanks,
Suyash

Hi Suyash.
Ok, so if I understood the issue correctly,
1) Planned Order is created in APO. At this point, there is dependent demand on component X, which is present in the PPM
2) Planned Order is saved and sent over to ECC. At this point, a new demand on the same component X is created. So now, there are 2 dependent demands for the same component, which is unexpected.
Is this it? I would suggest stopping the planned order queue in the inbound of ECC when it is first sent over from APO, and then checking whether the data coming from APO is correct. Aside from that, check whether there are any CIF user exits in ECC inbound that may be influencing the behavior.

  • SNP Planned order - Doesnt get the complete BOM when CIFd to ECC

    Hello,
When we create SNP Planned order in APO and sent to ECC, the Planned order doesn’t get the complete BOM, it works for the most part, except if we have Materials from multiple plants within the same BOM (sourcing from multiple plants).
Do we have to do any separate Configuration for this scenario?
We are planning only the End item in SNP, and we are generating the production version and PDS transfer to APO. We are not transferring all the materials to APO.
if we go to the Change mode of the Planned order in ECC and re-explode the BOM, I get all the components from the BOM, its just that when the planned order gets created thru the CIF we have this issue.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello Marius
Thank you for your quick response.
I looked at the SAP note you mentioned, the description seems to be matching with the issue we are having. Recently we had SNC implemented, and the note states that that can be the case why the components are getting deleted during planned order creation.
The only thing about this note is its very old, and we are having the SAP 6.0 and SCM 7.2 ,
Do you think this would be still applicable.
I will look into the details and let you know whether the note is applicable for us.

  • How to change characteristics values in PPDS planned order?

    Hi,
I have few PPDS planned orders. I want to change the value of few characteristics of existing PPDS planned order.
How can I do the same?
Any standard T.Code or function module or report available to update the characteristics values of PPDS planned order in APO.
    Thanks in advance.
    Warm Regards,
    Surajit Das

    Hi Surajit,
    Char can be changed programatically.
If you want to change the Planned Order characteritics before its creation, you can do so at the time Planning run itself (/SAPAPO/RRP3) in BADI /SAPAPO/RRP_SRC_EXIT, Method RRP_USEX_PLORD_CREATE.
Planned Order characteritics can be changed after it creation.using BAPI BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3.

  • Gap of Time of R3 and PPDS planned orders

    Hello Gurus,
I'm facing an issue regarding R/3 - PPDS planned orders.
The customer has the cenário that R3 and APO does not synchronize planned order on-line. R3 sends the orders on line however APO send it only in a determinated  time. As a matter of fact, the issue happens when R3 planned orders are sent to APO. Anyhow, the order into R3 that should be delivered by 03/20/2010 for example, in APO, it is showed as 03/18/2010 or 03/19/2010 without apparently reason.
I realized that the R3 system server has a gap of 2 hour more in the system time if you compare with APO server, however I cannot understand the reason of this gap of days and I don't think that seems to be the reason.
Also, the capacity of the resource is not defined at the same time for a shift that is in R3.
Is there anyone that could help me about it?
    Tks in advance.
    Marcos.

    Hi,
The time zone depends on the customization done - but one can change it to the desired option by setting the time zone in product view or requirements view as need be. One has the options of choosing:
    Time zone of user
    UTC Time zone
    Location time zone
Any time zone the user prefers
so immaterial of the server location, one can change the settings according to the user requirements.

  • PPDS Planned orders with setup driving requirements in R/3

    Hi Gurus -
We plan Finished Goods and Semi-FG in APO and send the planned and process orders over to R/3. We use the change-over matrix(set-up)matrix to create the set-up times for the finished good planned orders.
For a material I have 24 hours change-over time. Lets say material runs on tuesday 3 PM, the setup time is 24 hours before that.
Setup time: Monday 3 PM to Tuesday 3 PM
    Run Time: Tuesday 3PM onwards.
Unfortunately the Packaging requirements are being shown on Monday itself. While I have setup or change-over time, I don't really need the packaging materials on monday. So what can we do to avoid this?
Basically as soon as the APO planned order hits R/3, the BOM in R/3 is being exploded based on the order start date/time and not based of actual runtime of the order.
For MRP folks, its misleading since the packaging items are not really needed on monday.
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Rajesh

    Hi Varun,
Have you mapped setup and run as two activities in same resource or seperate operations all together.
If compoenents are assigned to run then are dates getting calculated correct ly in APO and only getting chaged in ECC?
In ECC there is configuration for production/process order   under scheduling parameters for production order where you can decide whether component should be assigned to run activity or set up activity but unfortunately this config is not available planned order.
If you have defined set up and run as seperate operation then there shold not be problem check config in ECC
Define scheduling parameters for planned order- adjust dates- adjust schduling should be adjust basic date and dependent requirement to operation date.

  • Ppds Planned order quantity is taken back to DP for analysis

    Hi Guru,
Can any one explaine in step by step how i can release my order quantity from PPDS to DP to do my further analysis?
Please it will be really great if any one can guide me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kumar.

    Kumar,
Can you explain a little more what you are asking?
DP is demand planning.  Here you are managing and deciding what your demand will be (predicting what you will sell is one of the more common outputs of DP)
PPDS is detailed supply planning.  Here you are creating your supply elements, determining exactly how you actually intend to procure or build the product.  In this plan, you have the opportunity to take into consideration capacity, execution duration, and the availability of lower level materials. In many (but not all)  cases, the PPDS plan is built after the Demand plan has been turned into a final production demand forecast, and released to production for execution, prior to actually receiving the actual sales orders.  In some cases, companies also may create an intermediate supply plan, which would usually be at a simpler level of detail (SNP).
Now you say you wish to 'release my order quantity from PPDS to DP' for some kind of analysis.  I am not sure what this means.  Supply and demand are two different things.
Companies that wish to, say, compare the demand plan to the supply plan typically don't do it in DP.  Some will write custom reports, others build custom infocubes in a BW and perform their analyses there.  It is definitely possible to extract supply elements (or just about any other type of data) into some kind of data structure, and place these elements into a DP planning book, if there is a business requirement.  This would definitely be non-standard, and would have to be designed and built from scratch.
If you are looking for a transaction that will 'releases the order quantity from PPDS to DP', I don't believe it exists.  If you wish to pull data from PPDS or SNP or ERP into DP in general, I would say you should talk to your local BW and DP experts to see what they can design for you.

  • Ppds planned order

    Dear Friends,
In PPDS, i am running CTP heuristic for a sale order through variable heuristic.  its creating planned order. when i click on planned order and click on delete, i am getting a message saying the planned order was deleted. but the planned order still exist in product view. But when i run the report for deleting the planned orders then it is dissappearing from the system.. is it because of any inconsistency or RAM capacity. we are having a aram of only 4 GB.  Or is there any setting specific to that. i am surprised because this is working fine in sand box. but this problem exist in my testing client in quality instance. pls throw some light on this.
    Regards
    Vinay

    Hi vinay,
When a planned order is getting deleted, the deletion relevant
queue will get generated in APO system and will go into the
inbound queue of R/3 system to remove the planned order
at R/3 and again it comes back to APO for final updation.
Your error is in the second stage wherein updation did not
happen and hence the planned order is visible in APO whereas
    it has been actually deleted.
As I have mentioned already, try clearing all the queues and then
run CCR report for planned order for that item and check whether
    the issue is disappearing.
Please let me know your findings

  • Manual creation of PPDS Planned Orders by start date and time

    Hi,
When an order is manually created in any ppds standard transaction the start date is calculated according to the availability date entered, the order quantity and the master data
Is it possible to manually create an order based on the start date and then the availability date is calculated according to the order quantity and master data?
    Thanks
    CTF

    CTF,
You can 'forward schedule' manually created orders.
Scheduling direction is dependent on the Strategy profile.  During order creation, you can change this.
When on the order create screen (/sapapo/rrp5), select the strategy button at the top.  This will bring up the default strategy for your userid.  You can alter the "planning direction" to be 'forward' or 'forward & reverse' depending on your business requirements.  Selecting Save will then make this scheduling strategy your default; otherwise just hit green checkbox.
Now the order entry screen will have 'start date' entry box.  Avail date will then be calculated.

  • SNP Planned Orders to ECC Process Orders - no PPDS

    Hello Gurus,
Is there a way to covert an SNP Planned orders to ECC Prod. orders? Can one switch off the PPDS in APO and still get the MRP/ MPS planning in APO and  and convert those SNP planned orders into ECC orders in ECC
    Thanks.

    Hi Abhi,
When you CIF SNP and PPDS planned orders to ECC system there is no diffrenciation between both of them (Because component specific details for the orders are not captured in ECC). So in ECC system you can convert Planned orders to Process or production orders by switching PPDS off in APO.
In APO system, SNP itself can plan for all the levels (RM,PM,FG,SFG) so no need of doing MRP.So you can switch off PPDS.
MPS functionality is available in ECC and not in APO system.
    Thanks and regards

  • SNP Planned Order with BOM having component with MRP type "PD".

    Hi experts,
    Just a quick query.
We have a BOM for a material FG. FG's MRP type is "X0".
All the components for this FG in BOM are not planning related thus they have MRP type "PD".
The question here is after SNP planning run SNP planned order is cifed in ECC.
When we see this planned order in Ta: MD13 will it show all the component list or only those component list which were in apo.
P.S: We are not running any MRP run in ECC.
    Regards,
    AKS

    Hi GK,
    Thanks for your response.
We don't have any other system connected to our ECC system.
We have all valid SNP PPM for APO relevant material.
one thing i would like to add that we are getting this issue when there are more than one ppm for FG material. Like say there are PPM1 and PPM2 both having bom with few different component material.
Now after SNP planning run if planned order is created with PPM2. When we see this order in ECC it shows production version as PPM1 and neither the complete list of bom 1 or bom 2.
Can you give some idea on RCIFMTDE.

  • Incorrect Sales order line item assignment to the Planned order

    Hi,
I am creating a sales order & then MRP run to get planned orders.
The sales order has one assembly line item, which is a configurable material. Inside the configuration of the assembly, I maintain some components. After saving it explodes and the same components reflect below line items of the assebly in sales order.
Now if I run MRP there is a requirement for the component and so the planned order is created for the component. But If I open the planned order & see inside its Assignment view, there is correct sales order number, but the line item its showing is that of Assembly and not of the component. Why ? Is there any wrong in configuration or any wrong in planning type ?
I checked correct Item category is used.
    MRP Type - PD
Correct requirement type is used in procurement view.
I think what ever is comming is standard SAP functionality. But I am not sure.
The client is saying, thie is wrong and because of this the warehouse guy is picking the wrong material (As the line number is wrong).
    Please suggest here.

    Hi Sambit,
We assign the Ordet type(Production order/ Planned order/ Network) to the requirment class to let the system know that for the material which has this requirment class , system chould create a Planned/ Procustion order. When you assign this normally system should create it automatically based on the settings. Requirment class comes from the requirment type which comes from the Item category and MRP type(*Genarally). Also check if there is any startegy Group assigned to the material in the material master and also the MRP group. Check the strtegy group defualts in the transaction "OPPS"(rEQUIRMENT TYPE /class FOR CUstome requirments). The best thing you could do is make the screen shots of the assembly header and the component's requirment classes and tell the business that based on this sytem is creating the planned order. And also check the plant parameters and the MRP group parameters in "OPPQ" and "OPPR" respectively. Kindly please let me know if you need any more infromation on this.

  • APO: RRP3 automate Production order creation from planned order ?

    Hi everyone ,
I have got a business requirement in APO where in Open sale orders uploaded in R/3, needs to be converted to Planned order and subsequently to Production order in APO-PPDS tcode RRP3 at all stages. They want to automate this process rather than doing it
    manually.
Can anyone tell how is this possible . Any BAPI or function module available to do this . Please help.
    Regards,
    Syed

    Hi,
1.You need to run the heuristics Planning of standard lots SAP_PP_002  in /SAPAPO/CDPSB0 by specifying the time profile
and  strategy profile, planning version and propagation range, product and location.
    2. Convert PPDS Planned Orders created to process orders thru /SAPAPO/RRP7 by specifying the product location start date of the order for production order creation.
Out put of step 1- For sales order requirement, PPDS Planned orders gets created.
Out put of step 2- PPDS Planned orders are converted to production orders.
    Thanks,

  • Creating SNP planned order using ''BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3'

    Hi Experts,
I am new to SAP-APO, kindly clarify my question. I am using 'BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3' with source of supply PDS for creating SNP planned order by passing 'EE' in the  table parameters 'ORDER_HEAD-MASTER_ATPCAT'. It is creating a planned order which is PPDS planned order with number range starting from '1000...' rather than creating SNP planned order with number range starting from '8000..'. Please let me know what might be the reason for the BAPI misbehaving incorrectly. Also kindly let meknow what are specific parameters to pass to above bapi to create SNP planned order.

    Hi,
The BAPI BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3 is used for creating PPDS inhouse orders.
You will have to use BAPI_MOSRVAPS_CREATESNPORDER for SNP inhouse orders creation from SNP PPMs( there is no explict mention of SNP PDS- you may please check).
