PPM 5.0 Administration

Hi Experts
We recently upgraded to PPM 5.0 on Netweaver Business Client
The problem i face is with Project and Portfolio Administration.
I have an existing Initiative template but I cannot create a new Initiative template.
If i try to create an Initiative template, i select the bucket, Initiative type and click on start.
I receive error :
You cannot create Phase for Project Template
Status of Project Template does not permit you to change the structure
An error occurred in the creation of the application object
"Change attributes" is not allowed (Project Template )
"Change attributes" is not allowed (4E11520AC08211E0E1008000C0A803A2 )
Please could you guys help.
Second problem is that if i am in a project Template (cProject/Item)
And click on 'Resources' Tab, i get a dump  :
" Line types of an internal table and a work area not compatible."
OBJECTS_WA_NOT_COMPATIBLE
If i am in a normal cProject and click on the Resources Tab, it opens with no problem.
Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong
Is there config that i am missing ?
It seems that something is not correct with the Portfolio & Project Administration.

Hi
The cause of the problem is due to incorrect setting of status object
'IX1' (Initiatives: Project Template), which does not have a initial
status, so that the program failed to find out, if the object can be
changed or not from status point of view.
Please carry out the following steps to correct it.
1. RUN transaction BS12
2. Scroll down the page, till you find the record 'IX1', put the cursor
on it.
3. Menu 'Goto' -> 'Status control'
4. Scroll to the system status 'I1700 CRTE Created', set the flag
'Ini'. Save it.
Please check the setting in other systems, if it is needed, please
transport the change to the involved systems.
Please let me know if this solves your problem of the initiative template creation.
for the resources on the project template, please implement SAP Note :      1550571
Kind Regards,
Ihsaan Mayet

I have a question from the customer regarding which SAP User Role should be assigned to and Workflow Administrator?
From my point of view, basically there are 2 questions here:
    1. Is there any standard SAP user Role for this? (which one?)
    2. If not, then a custom Role need to be configured (from PFCG t-code i think). Can anyone tell me to which workflow transactions should be ground authority for such a Role?

  • How to migrate the discoverer reports using the PPM tool

    Hi,
Did Any One Migrate the Discoverer Reports Using The PPM (Kintana Tool) From One Oracle Instance To The Other?
Please Help Me If Any One Knows?
    Thanks,
    Ankit

    Hi User,
    Create a new shared folder.
Provide access to all the users.
Now, ask the user who created the report in 'My Folders' to save the report in this new shared folder.
And, Delete those reports in 'My Folders'.
Now, as the report is saved in New shared folder you can access - this one.
Else--- Ask the user who created the report in my folder to make sure that it is available to all users. (Permissions - Permission should need to be provided for Administrator group)
    Thank you.

  • RFC Debugging and Cache Admin not available in PPM 5.0

    Hi Experts,
RFC Debugging  and Cache Administration is not available  in PPM 5.0 as compared to RPM 4.5. Is it due to single ABAP stack model of PPM 5.0 ? Complete transformation from java to ABAP webdynpro components  ?  Any idea on this ?
    Best Regards,
    Siva

    Siva,
Yes, you are right, As enerything is moved to ABAP stack in SAP PPM 5.0. RFC Debugging and Cache Administration is not required in SAP PPM 5.0.
    Cheers

  • I am trying to download iTunes on my new desktop computer (Windows 7, 64 bit).  It starts installing, and then stops with the message- "The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation."  I am the sole user- please help.

I am trying to download iTunes on my new desktop computer (Windows 7, 64 bit).  It starts installing, and then stops with the message- "The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation." This is a stand alone computer and I am the sole user.   Please help.

This is a Microsoft Windows Issue.
    From a MS Support Engineer:
    "Hi,
    ·        Is the computer on a domain?
    ·        Is the issue isolated to only this software or you get the same error message with other software’s as well?
Try the steps below and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
Run the software setup file as an administrator and check if it helps.
    a. Right click on the setup file of the software that you are trying to install.
    b. Select “Run as administrator”.
    Step 2:
Temporarily disable the antivirus software running on the computer and check if you are able to install the software.
    Disable antivirus software
    Warning:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
    Step 3:
    a. Click Start, type "Local Security Policy" (without quotes) and press enter.
    b. Click on Software Restriction Policies.
    c. In the right pane, double click on the "enforcement".
    d. Select “All users except local administrators”.
    e. Click Ok and restart the computer and check if the issue is fixed."

  • Can not see the administration tab in EM

Hi, I installed Oracle 10g EE Release 2. However, when I log in to EM and I want to see the Administration tab, I have to enter again the user and password I gave them and I got this error: Database error I/O Exception: Unknown host specified
I check on metalink and said that is due to the TZ zone so I modified the file emd-properties and run emctl resetTZ agent without success
Someone knows about a patch that solve this.
    Thank you

From your information, I'm sorry I could not get several information. Did you upgrade your BPC Clients too, lets say BPC Administrators ?.
    Kind Regards,

    I have similar issues.
    What I've tried:
Installing Windows Installer Cleanup (which is, btw, no longer approved by Microsoft), but the installation of this tool failed
    Removing Adobe AIR with CCleaner
Cleaning up the registry with CCleaner
Running the Adobe CS5 Clean script - but AIR is not among the options available
Adding a "-uninstall" suffix in a shortcut as suggested here: http://www.sevenforums.com/software/68987-cant-install-adobe-air-2.html#post749619
Using Ninite installer: http://ninite.com/air/ (as suggested here: http://www.sevenforums.com/software/68987-cant-install-adobe-air-3.html#post1318156). I got the error: "Install failed - Could not verify installation (1), 7 - 1329"
In the registry, under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/Installer/Products/, manually removing the entry with .air-files (which is of course risky business)
Installing an older version of AIR (2.0.2)
Trying to uninstall - and remove AIR components with Revo Uninstaller Pro. This actually looked quite promising since it appearingly found a lot of "abandoned" AIR files. Unfortunately this didn't help either
None of the above has helped, since when trying to install AIR I keep getting the administrator error:
"An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."
As far as I can tell from googling various sites, this is a pretty common error, but none of the solution proposals seem to work for me.
Any suggestions on what else to try???
