PProHeadless.exe, FileImporter.cpp-1132 errors exporting short video

Hi,
I'm getting an error when I try and export my 3 minute movie. The error goes as follows:
PProHeadless.exe
AppVer: 0.0.0.0
ModName: dvacore.dll
Mod Ver: 2.0.0.0
Offset: 002de00
Encoding Failed
Error compiling movie
Unknown Error
I tried removing the two clips from the timeline at which it always seemed to crash, and it did export but only as an mp4. I tried re-converting those clips thinking they were corrupted, and still get the error with the new clips. In this same area there are crossfading .jpgs, but they have been sized to 72dpi and are concurrent with the video size, so this shouldn't be the issue, correct?
It also has listed a FileImporter.cpp-1132 error.
I've never had this issue before. I'm running Premiere Pro CS4 on a windows xp machine. Should I be converting these videos to a specific format before using them in the timeline? Right now I'm importing them as mpeg2, after converting them in Media Encoder.
Thanks for your help!

Everyone may have already got what they wanted from the answers given in the post but I thought I'd add my PAL experience of this.
I tried to media export a timeline to one large mixdown file. (blackmagic mjpeg) the timeline had simple premiere titles fading up and down to black before each video module.  The media encoder worked fine but none of the dissolves from timeline to title worked - they translated as cuts in the mixdown.  In the end I dropped premiere generated black video over the titles and used variable opacity to bring them in and out.  This worked fine and proves that you can export with black at the front.
What it proves however is that CS4 really is working differently to CS3 in lots of ways.
As far as media encoder is concered, I'm sure this is a grandmother sucking eggs business but it's critical for performance that the USE PREVIEW FILES option in the settings box is selected.  Otherwise CS4 starts to re-render everything and seems to be much slower at doing it than a basic timeline render. Including metadata files doesn't seem to offend too much but I only evr include this when I'm exporting final versions anyway.

When trying to encode large (15 min & Larger) timelines in AME, i receive the error pproheadless.exe has encountered and error needs to close.
The result being I cannot encode the file - I have tried this with 3 separate Premier Pro projects, with the same result.  Smaller timelines, under 15 min, dont seem to be affected. Initially, we had only 2 GB of RAm, and upgraded to 4 GB of Ram, but that did not help the situtation.
I have seen many posts on here about this issue, but didnt seem to see anything definitive.
    Advice?

I am not running cs5 yet - still cs4.  I'll wait this time for others to work out the bugs.  Let me clarify, on my desktop - windows XP, 32 bit, I have 3 internal hard drives.  I usually have the project on my "media" drive (drive 2) and then export out to my "export" drive (drive 3).  My os is on my C drive.  My laptop - hp dv7 has one large hard drive.  I usually have the project on the c drive in documents and use an external hard drive as the scratch disc (for all the assests).  Are these configurations "kosher"?
    Thanks,
    Lisa
P.S. I could not find the CS4 forum - I looked again, I found the forum for CS4, sorry.

  • Cannot encode video in Media Encoder: "PProHeadless.exe has caused an error ..."

Can't for the life of me encode a video from Premiere Pro, it throws an error pointing to "PProHeadless.exe." The encoder will stay active and allow me queue the file, but nothing happens for a long time, and then it crashes with a Dynamic Link error. Nothing gets me out of it -- I have to force restart the Encoder. Anyone experience similar behavior?

I go through Premiere Pro CS4 and tell it to export in that format (I've tried both internal hard drives and an external hard drive as export locations), Adobe Media Encoder 4.0.1.078 opens and pauses before the error message appears. The sequence's status is then "Waiting", but nothing else happens when I click "Start Queue" with the exception of the same error message appearing. This is my first time trying to export a sequence using CS4, but I've done it many times successfully with CS3 and FCP 6. I've tried reinstalling CS4 and I updated all drivers only a few weeks ago.
Also, the one video clip I'm using as my source-video is a 13GB+ file. It was never broken into shorter segments.

  • PProHeadless.exe has stopped working error when opening projects in Adobe Media Encoder CS6

Hi, I recently upgraded to Adobe Cloud CS6 and am having problems with the Adobe Media Encoder CS 6 (version 6.0.1.31 64-bit).
When I try to add Adobe Premiere projects in AME, it sometimes gives me the following error:
    PProHeadless.exe has stopped working
I tried rebooting, and it still gives me the same error.  Sometimes the project will load, sometimes it won't.
The Premiere projects contain a H.264 .mov file coming from my Canon T2i.  I also added an overlay logo to the bottom right of the video that I created in Adobe After Effects, which only contains text, no effects, no motion, etc.  Sometimes I also have a .wav file recorded from a Zoom H4n, but not always.  I usually edit those in Adobe Audition with the remove noise feature.
I am running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.  I'm using an i7 with 16GB ram and an ATI 6870 video card.
I have the LUT buddy plugin installed.
It will give me the error the first time I try to load the project, and the connection to Dynamic Link Server will fail.  Afterwards, if I try to load the project again, even if I restart AME, it stays stuck in the Connecting to Dynamic Link server...
Any help anyone could provide would be appreciated.

    Hi Dima,
Thank you very much for your prompt reply.  Dragging the sequence from PPro to AME made AME lock up.  But your second suggestion of exporting the video directly from PPro seems to be working.  I still have 6 minutes to go, but at least it got up to 25% so far, so everything seems good.
    Thank you once again!
(although it would be nice if I could go through AME just in case)

  • Error export HD video on AMD processors

I have a problem. There are several computers with different processors. I create a complex project, more than 3 video tracks with effects. if you export video with 720-576 no problem. but if the resolution is increased to above 720p and then rendering is not possible. if you include rendering with CUDA then everything is OK. without CUDA, on a single processor error. but this error only on AMD processors. Intel i7 processors, the error is not present. tested on different computers, different operating systems, on different processors AMD, still if the error if the project is very complex. I do not think that the CPU AMD FX- 8320 can not cope with such a task.
I do not know English, I write through the translator, I think you'll understand.

My FX- 8320 processor instruction set is x86, x86-64, MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, SSE4A, XOP, AES, AVX, FMA, FMA4 . even more than the intel, so that's not the point, or simply not supported in the premiere of instructions from AMD, even though they are the same. How can you refer to the developers that they added optimization for AMD?

  • ERROR Exporting HD video to Quicktime Movie

I'd appreciate any help with this.
I have several 4-6 minute videos shot in HDV 1080i60 and edited in Final Cut Pro 5.0. Each time I attempt to export the sequences (Quicktime conversion > H.264), the exporting process seems to begin... but after something in the range of 30-40 minutes I get a "General Error" message. I've tried several different setting configurations and believe that my sequence/timeline settings are properly set. Ready to check and re-check anything suggested.
    Thanks,
    bec

    31.57 GB available.
I have performed the export procedure described, and countless other attempted combinations. I can't get the video out of FCP, using QT conversion or QT Movie option.
One thing I just tried, using a small 30 second clip, is using Compression out of FCP rather than either of the QT options. The 30 second clip seems to have exported properly. The same clip, when I attempt to export using the QT options, produces a General Error message. I've never used Compressor to export before now. I'm going to try the full length (5 minute) video via Compressor and see what happens. Anyone ideas why this might be happening? An Apple rep suggested that my FCP 5.0 needs to be updated to 6.0.
    Thanks,

  • PProheadless.exe

    Hello,
first post here.  I'm running Adobe Production Suite CS4, v. 4.01.
System specs.: Asus P6t Deluxe v2, i7 processor, 12 gb ram, matrox rt.x2, 4 internal sata drives at 250 gb each, 2 tb raid 0 for video.  Window Vista Ultimate 64 bit.
I'm also encountering this same issue on a seperate computer:
specs.: Asus P5E3 Deluxe, 8 GB ram, quad core processor at 2.67 mghz, 4 internal sata drives, 1 tb raid 0 for video.  Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit.  Again, running Adobe CS4 Production Premium.
The issue: from Premiere Pro export uncompressed avi through Adobe Media Encoder, 30fps, progressive.  The timeline contains simple lower thirds and an avi.  Media Encoder will begin the coding process and about 1/4 of the way through the timeline this error will appear:  "PProheadless.exe has stopped working."  I have already searched this forum concerning this issue and did find one entry that stated a resolution ... Edit>Preferences>General, and then check "optimize the render=memory."  This did not resolve the issue.  I also have Windows Vista running fast with the bare essentials and have virtual memory set for efficient operation.  Anyway, it would seem with 12 GB of ram that Media Encoder would have enough to work with.  I have used CS4 for several months and at first the PProheadless.exe never appeared.  I'm scratching my head as to why now.
Is anyone else encountering this issue with AME?  Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks,
    Cliff

    Dear all,
I have read very carefully this thread (and a few others), I have tried the solution described ... but nothing seems to work and EMA still crash, won't encode and I get the "PProHeadless.exe has caused an error ..." message.
I use Premiere Pro CS4 on a Windows Vista 64bits (Home Premium), i7 Core. I have installed the latest updates for both Premiere and AME.
For weeks, it worked perfectly, then something odd haapened: for some sequences, Premiere would encode perfectly for some, AME would stall very fast. No erroe message, just that after few second (between 2 and 4), it just stopped, as if the encoding was finished although it never stopped. Puzzled, I re-installed Premiere (and AME) .. and now I m getting the "PProHeadless.exe has caused an error ..." crash everytime I m encoding. Extremely frustrating...
I have tried few solutions described in this thread, notably
    - Open Task Manager , go to Affinity and reduce the number of CPU PProHeadless.exe can work on - it was adviced to reduce it to just 2, did not work. Also reduce it to just one, did not work either. By looking carefully at the task manager, I saw taht also I ve set PProHeadless.exe to work only on CPU 0, the number of CPU Task manager said it was working was moving from 0 top 2. Strange..yet it was still a small number, and, yes the crash happened again.

    - I have also used another solution found somewhere else, iei Select in PPro: edition >preference > general> , optimize the render = MEMORY  and I also inscrease the asio memory buffer to 4096 and selected "32 bit" to avoid the "jkl" bug
    Nothing works...
I have noticed that one participant, Ciro, solved the issue by "In the Windows' Error report I clicked the 'details' button and found that it pointed to - nvoglnt.dll, which, after some 'googling' pointed to Nvidia graphics drivers. I downloaded a nvoglnt.dll file, and replaced the one I had in Windows\system32."
I tried the same, my error message pointed to ImageRenderer.dll which seems to be a file used by Photoshop.. Dont know why Photoshop is linked to this (maybe because the still pictures I have were trimmed down and turned into japegs in Photoshop??). Anyway I m a bit weary of replacing a Photoshop file by something of the same name found on Internet...
Would you recommend to do that?
I m a bit desesparate, any help is more than welcomed!

  • Can not export media PProHeadless.exe Error

    Please help.
I am trying to export my Premiere Pro timeline and am unable to get the dynamic link server to work. When I export from Premiere Pro my Media Encoder opens but nothing happens. Thank you for any advice you can give.

Here is a third ARTICLE. You will have to scroll down way past the full error report that the OP included [Hint: one should attach all that in a TXT file, and not as body copy.], to the last few replies. There is another link in the last one, or so, that could be useful.

  • Adobe Media Encoder - PProHeadless.exe

    Hi!
I have a big problem with PProHeadless.exe in render queue in Adobe Media Encoder. It is not typical error, so I didn't find any solution.
First of all my PC spec:
    - Gigabyte X79
    - Intel Xeon E5-2620
    - Nvidia Quadro 2000D
    - 16GB RAM
I don't have any problems with rendering a one file from Premiere Pro or AME. Everything is ruined when I add a queue in AME with multiple Premiere Pro projects. After start queue first project render correct, next render to approx. 60-70s and freeze. After couple of minutes I get message with error PProHeadless.exe stop working. Then, I have to manually kill process PProHeadless.exe from Task Manager. So, after every one clip I have to stop render queue and kill that process. What is wrong? Any sugestions?

crystalreportrunner.CrystalReportRunner.main(CrystalReportRunner.java:91)I believe the error is that the SQL query in the main report is being updated with the RUN_ID but the SQL in the sub-report is not. I am not sure why the update to set the RUN_ID in the second SQL query fails, but it seems to me the JRC is not detecting it as a missing parameter and is passing the SQL including {?RUN_ID} to Oracle, causing the JDBC driver to fail with this NullPointerException. I think this because further up in the log I see this:-INFO - Executing query: SELECT v.* FROM v_ger_main vwhere v.run_id = 254INFO - Verifying databaseINFO - Executing query: SELECT h.* FROM v_ger_av_ls_tagging hwhere h.run_id = {?RUN_ID}ERROR - QueryEngine error: verify database failed. Both connections are from the same database, but the first has the updated value (254) whilst the second query still seems to have the parameter and so fails to verify. Can someone suggest how I can fix this problem or if I have missed something that is required?Thanks.Jon.

What happens if, instead of passing in parameter field values, you pass the report source object to the viewer (ReportViewerBean for stand-alone or CrystalReportViewer for web)?  The viewer should introspect the report for the parameter fields and bring up a parameter field entry dialog box.  Does such a dialog box come up?  Is only the main report parameter field queried for, or both main and subreport paramter fields?  When you enter correct values for the field, does the report display?
Hopefully, the above should narrow down the issue.
By the way, JRC doesn't support ODBC connections, only Java based connectivity such as JDBC, JavaBeans and XML.  If you have a report with ODBC, then it looks for a JNDI connection with the same name.

  • Premiere Pro (CS6) - Windows 7- [..\...Src\Win\Winfile.cpp-814] error

    Hi,
I'm currently working on an animated music video to upload on YouTube fairly soon and while trying to export my video I get an error popup saying [..\...Src\Win\Winfile.cpp-814].
I've had no problem exporting before and now this thing comes out of nowhere to ruin my day and my project haha.
I've resterted the project and the popup still appears. I even went to the extent of going back to Premiere Pro CS 5.5 but I receive  a popup saying  [..\...Src\Win\Winfile.cpp-785]
...with another saying "Thank you for using "Adobe Device Control". The Adobe product that installed "Adobe Device Central" has not been activated. Please launch and activate that Adobe product before continuing to use "Adobe Device Central" after it exports.
And,  when the project  does export, it exports with just the video with NO audio .
I have never had this issue before, it just randomly happened. I've use Premiere Pro going on 5 years now and have never had an issue until now. Someone or some hero please help me slay this dragon so I may post my awesome music video on YouTube. Thanks

I found a bug report on this exact crash. The developer's notes indicate that the crash occurs when Premiere gets an unexpected result when checking to see if a file is open. One thing that might work is to reboot the system, thereby closing any files that were basically in a bad state.
If that doesn't do the trick, then installing PPro CC as a trial should allow you to get around this.

  • PProHeadless.exe has stopped working for Premiere Pro CS6

I have had no problems with it until today.
The video I was trying to produce was about 31 minutes long.
I have had this PC less than a year and have never had PProHeadless.exe stop working for Premiere Pro CS6.
what causes this to happen, has the last batch of updates caused this?
    PC specs:
    Windows 7 64bit fully updated
    MoBo Asus P6X58E-WS
    i7 quad core 950
    24 gigs of Ram
    10,000 rpm's Hard Drives
very few things installed on this PC to avoid application conflicts, and I had no other applications running.
    Thanks for any input,
    Best regards,
    Tony

  • CS4 - "PProheadless.exe has stopped working"

Hi guys, I'm getting the above error when I export a wedding video I've finished working on, I need a solution ASAP!
I've searched online and tried suggestions everyone's made.
    I've done the following:
re-encoded original files and replaced them in the project (audio too), using different codecs and resolutions
set affinity to 1 CPU core
set premiere edit-preferences-general render from performance to memory
closed everything else in processes list that wasn't essential
    save to a different HDD
save to different codecs, resolutions, bitrates etc
I can encode other, shorter videos fine (not tried longer). It always stops between 6 & 7 minutes every time.
I have noticed that people who have the problem have the same CPU and OS as me!
I have 3Gb DDR3 RAM, Core i7 920 CPU, ATI HD 3400 gfx and Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64 bit.
The PC has been restarted numerous times over the last 3 days while trying to sort this, I've updated all drivers from the manufacturers web site (gfx, chipset etc)
I'm stuck for ideas now and am really desperate

    Hi Harm -
I'm having the exact same error currently and have just run-through you list of suggestions and am now re-exporting to see if it worked.
I'm curious to know if the "vssadmin" command has to be done every time or is it permanently set each time?
I must admit - even if your solution does fix this problem (..fingers crossed!!!) - that I'm more than a bit frustrated and annoyed that a program
costing this much money (AUD$1400.00) should be this "buggy". I've used much cheaper programs in the past and had nowhere near the problems
    I've had since using Premiere.
Please tell me that there's light at the end of the tunnel because right now I wouldn't recommend this to anyone and feel as though I've been duped!

  • HT4714 i cant export my video to any of the destinations on my list.. it keeps saying QuickTime Error -50 what do i do cuz if i cant use it i want my money back

i cant export my video into anything i keep getting a QuickTime Error -50

Unfortunately, these boards have too many similar complaints.
There are variety of things that seem to cause these exporting failures. Most seem to relate to corrupted clips. Here's a list of fixes that have worked to solve some of the reported problems.
First it's worthwhile to trash preferences; use this app.
    Turn off Background Rendering.
From within FCP, delete project render files and event render files. Select a short section and export without rendering. If it works, export the full project. If it doesn't work…
Create a new project. Copy the old project and paste into the new project. Export a short test and if it exports. export the full project. If that doesn't work…
    Create a new user account.
    Good luck.
