Hi ,
actuall when we creat a PO with respect to closed  pr it allowing me to creat po for that pr, but could not giving me any error or warning message. where can i configure these error messages.

Hi
Try this and revert...go to SPRO-MM-Purchasing-Environement--Define attributes of system messages.
There try to make message no. 290 as E message and tell us if still u r able to raise a PO against a closed PR.

  • PO Active/Close indicator

    Dear All,
I am using ME2L T-code in order to view POs by vendors and analyse Quantities to be Invoiced and delivered.
The report has many columns in the layout and one of them is Deletion indicator column, showing whether the PO is deleted, not deleted, or blocked.
Is there in the report column showing the PO Active/Close status? or if not, is there other T-code which displays POs with possibility to see Active/Close indicator.
    Thanks in advance.

Active means PO is still in use, in other words there are some GRs still to be made until PO is automatically closed and moved to Closed Status. in this case when All GRs are made it is easy to identify whether PO is closed or Active by comparing total GR amounts with PO amount.
But sometimes PO is closed manually, is there any indicator, or PO is not closed manually?

  • Result recording configuration with automatic close indicator

    Hi Guys,
I was testing this automatic result configuration in my system.
I selected the u201C1u201D (i.e. Automatic Close) Recording Configuration indicator on the plant level in SPRO > QM > Basic Settings > Maintain Settings at Plant Level> plant > Result recording tab > Recording configuration > maintain Automatic Close.
Next, I entered the three user parameter ID QAE, QAN, and QAS in the user parameter SU3. However, I leave the parameter value for these three ID blank as I donu2019t know what to put in.
During result recording, I tested this MIC characteristic on both reject and accept scenarios (i.e. fall under lower/upper limit, and fall outside lower/upper limit). To my surprise, nothing happens. In another word, there is no automatic close incurs on the inspection characteristics (i.e. both the accepted and rejected checkbox still remain unchecked even I navigate around, and hit the u201Ccontinueu201D, u201Cbacku201D, or u201Csaveu201D button).
Further, I have fulfilled the following prerequisite as specified in the SAP help portal on this topic:
1 - The inspection scope is fixed scope of this MIC.
2 - I entered the target sample size (i.e. both the value in the u201CInspectu201D and u201CInspectedu201D field is similar).
3 - I think I should have the authorization because I have entered the three parameter IDs on the SU3.
May I know what is wrong?
Can it be the parameter values for the three parameter ID are blank in my SU3? If so, what value I should enter for these three param ID? If not whatu2019s going wrong?
    Thanks

    Hi Gajesh,
For some reason, it doesnu2019t work.
I think I will tell my guys to perform manually pressing the Lock icon button to force it to valuate and also become status 5, since this the two valuation checkboxes, i.e. accept and reject checkbox is either ticked correctly according to the sampling plan setup in the sampling schema.
Further, I donu2019t see why this extra manual step is so difficult for my worker.
    Thanks for your help

  • PO Close Indicator at header Level

    Hi,
Is there any way of determining that the PO is closed at the Header Level instead at Line Item Level.
We are implementing 4.6C and in 4.6C there is no field which will determine that the PO is closed, in the sense that Goods Receipt is done for all Line Items.
I am not sure if there is any indicator at PO header level in the higher versions other than 4.6c
Please let me know if there is any indicator available in the higher versions.
    Thanks,
    Vani.

    Hi ,
    1. open PO ---> you have not recieved the /GR complete qty of PO.
    2. Open for GR -
    > complete invoicing for recieved material qty has not taken place.
    3. Open for Invoicing -
    > Account posting has not taken place for invoice which you have created.
    hoppe it helps....

  • PR auto close

    Dear all,
My plant wants the scenario like if PR is open from more than 2 months without any action then system auto. close the PR.
Is it possible if yes then how?
    Neha

    Hi,
The 'closed' indicator on a Purchase Requisition can only be set
manually. This can be done by one of the following methods :
1] In the change Purchase Requisition transaction ME52, set the
       close indicator.
2] If you use transaction ME21 or ME21N to create the PO with reference
to the Purchase Requisition , the 'closed' flag has to be set
manually. In transaction ME21N , the indicator to close the Purchase
Requisition is in the delivery schedule tab of the item details at
the far right end of the window.
The close indicator is never set automatically. This is standard SAP
    system design.

  • Close PR automatically once Converted into PO

    Dear ALl,
Please let me know asnsy setting will be available to get tick automatically once the PR is converted into PO with Full qty.
Is thr any settings will be available in IMG, so that once the PR is converted fully to PO system should automatically tick the Close indicator.
This will help in MRP run.
    Pls do the needful.
    Regards,
    Nagaraj S

    Hi Nagaraj S,
The function of Closed Indicator in the PR is, No Further pruchase orders are to be created for this Purchase REquisition
Suppose u created a pR but later on you dont want to create PO for this PR or you want to block Pr for further activity, in that case YOu will use Closed Indicator
By system message you can control when PR is converted in to PO with full Qty. Again If you try to create the PO for same PR in that case system will generate Error message. it will not allow you to create PO.
Settings are : SPRO > Materail Management > Purchasing > Environment > Define Attributes of System Messages >
here  076Materials of requisition & item & alr. ordered in full Indicate as E*

  • Is there a way to turn off using ram as intermediary when transfering files between 2 internal hdds? (write cache is off on all drives)

right forum?  first time here. none of the options seem perfect. so i guess this applies to 'setup.' i tried to describe what's happening verbosely from the start of a file transfer to completion of writing file to 2nd hard drive.
    win 7 64bit home - i2600k 3.4ghz - 8gb of ram - 2hdd 1 ssd
I have this problem when transferring files between 2 internal hard drives. one is unhealthy (slow write speeds but not looking for advice to replace it because it serves its unimportant purpose). so, the unhealthy drive drops into PIO mode - that's acceptable.
however, a little over 1gb of any file transfer is cached in RAM during the file transfer. after the file transfer window closes, indicating the transfer is "complete" (HA!), it still has 1gb to write from RAM which takes about 30minutes. This would
not be a problem if it did not also earmark an additional 5gb of ram (never in use), leaving 1gb or less 'free' for programs. this needlessly causes my pc to be sluggish - moreso than a typical file transfer file between 2 healthy drives. i have windows write
caching turned off on all drives. so this is a different setting i can't figure out nor find after 2 hours of google searches.
info from taskmanager and resource monitor.
idle estimates: total 8175, cached 532, available 7218, free 6771 and the graph in taskman shows about 1gb memory in use.
at the start of a file transfer:  8175,  2661,  6070,  4511free and ~2gb of ram used in graph. No problems, yet.
however, as the transfer goes on, the free ram value drops to less than 1gb (1gb normal +1gb temporary transfer cache +5gb of unused earmarked space = ~7gb),  cached value increases, but the amount of used ram remains relatively unchanged (2gb
during transfer and slowly drops to idle values as remaining bits are written to the 2nd hard drive).  the free value is even slower to return to idle norms after the transfer completes writing data to 2nd hard drive from RAM. so, it's earmarking an addition
5gb of ram that are completely unused during this process.  *****This is my problem*****
Is there any way to turn this function off or limit its maximum size. in addition to sluggishness, it poses risk to data integrity from system errors/power loss, and it's difficult to discern the actual time of transfer completion, which makes it difficult
to know when it's safe to shutdown my pc (any data left in ram is lost, and the file transfer is ruined - as of now i have to use resmon and look through what's writing to disk2 -> sometimes easy to forget about it when the transfer window closed 20-30minutes
ago and the file is still in the process of writing to the 2nd disk).
Any solution would be nice, and a little extra info like whether it can be applied to only 1 hard drive would be excellent.

    Thanks for the reply.
(Although i have an undergrad degeee in computers, it's been 15years and my vocab is terrible. so, i will try my best. keep an open mind. it's not my occupation, so i rarely have to communicate ideas regarding PCs)
It operates the same way regardless of the write-cache option being enabled. It's not using the 5gb for read/write buffer - it's merely bloating standby memory during the transfer process at a rate similar to the write speed of destination (for my situation).
at this point i don't expect a solution. i've tried to look through lists of known memory leaks but i dont have the vocabulary to be 100% certain this problem is not documented. as of now it can't affect many people - NAS's with low bandwidth networks, usb
attached storage etc. do bugs get forwarded from these forums? below i can outline the consistent and repeatable nature not only on my pc but on others' pcs as well (2012 forum post i found).
I've been testing and paying a little more attention and i can describe it better:
    Just the Facts
Resmon Memory Info: "In Use" stays consistent ~1gb (idle amount and roughly the same when nothing else is running during file transfer)
                                     "Modified" contains file transfer
data (meta data?) which remains consistent at little over 1gb (minor fluctuations due to working as a buffer). After the file transfer window closes "Modified" slowly diminishes as it finishes lazy writing (i believe that's the term). I forget idle
pc amount, but after transfer this is ony 58mb)
"Standby" as the transfer starts it immediately rises to ~2gb. I'm sure this initial jump is normal. However, it will bloat well over 5gb over time with a large enough transfer increasing at a consistent rate during the entire transfer
process. the crux of the matter.
"Free" will drop as far as 35-50megabytes over time.
as the transfer starts, the "Standby" increases by an immediate chunk then at a slow rate throughout entire transfer process(~1mb/s). once writing metadata to RAM no longer occurs, the "Modified" ram slowly (@500kb/s matching resmon disk
activity for that file write) diminishes as it finishes lazy writing, After file is 100% written to destination drive, "Standby" remains a bloated figure long after.
a 1.4gb transfer filled 3677MB of "Standby" by the time writing finished and modified ram cleared. after 20minutes, it's still bloated at 3696MB. after 30-40mins it's down to 2300mb - this is about what it jumps immediately to when transfer starts
    - it now remains at this level until i reboot.
I notice the "standby" is available to programs. but they do not operate well. e.g. a 480p trailer on IMDB.com will stop-and-go every 2-3seconds (stream buffers fine/fast) - this would be during the worst case scenario of 35-50mb "Free"
ram. my pc isn't and never was the latest and greatest, but choppy video never happens even with 1 or 2 resource hogs running (video processing/encoding, games, etc).
    Conjecture Below
i think it's a problem when one device is significantly slower at writing than the source device - this is the factor that i share with others having this problem. when data is written to modified ram then sent to destination, standby memory is expanded
until it completely or nearly fills all available RAM - If the transfer size is large enough relative to how slow the write speed of destination device is. otherwise it fills it up as much as the file size/write speed issue allows. the term "memory leak"
is used below but may not technically be one, but it's an apt description in layman's terms.
i saw a similar post in these forums (link at end). My problem is repeatable and consistent with others' reports. I wasn't sure if i should revive it with a reply. some of these online message boards (maybe not this one) are extremely picky
and sensitive, lol.the world will end if an old thread revives - even if for a good reason.
i can answer some of the ancillary issues. one person (Friday, September 21, 2012 8:33 PM) mentions not being able to shutdown, i asume he means stuck on the shutdown screen - this is because lazy writing has not completed - his nas write speed is significantly
slower than reading from source - the last bits of data left in ram still needs to be writen to the destination. shutdown will stall for as long as needed until the data finishes writing to destination to prevent data loss.
another person (Monday, September 24, 2012 6:31 PM) mentions the rate of the leak, but the rate is more likely a function of read speed from source relative to write speed of destination. which explains why my standby expands closer to a 1:1 ratio compared
to his 1:100 (he said 10mb per 1000mb)
we all have the same exact results/behaviour, but slightly different rates of bloating/leaking. as the file is written from from the ram to the destination, standby increases during this time - not a problem if read and write speeds are roughly equal (unless
your transfering a terabytes then i bet the problem could rear its head). when writing lags, it gives the opportunity for standby ram to bloat with no maximum except the amount of installed ram. slower the write speed, the worse the problem.
The reply on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 3:04 AM has before and after pictures of exactly what i described in
"Just the Facts". Specifically the resmon image showing the Memory Tab.
The kb2647452 hotfix seems to do some weird things relative to this problem. in the posts that mention they've applied it: after file completes it looks like the "standby" bloat is now "in use" bloat. as per info from Tuesday, October
09, 2012 10:36 PM - bobmtl in an earlier post applies the patch. compare images from earlier posts to his post on this date. seems like a worse problem. Also, his process list indicates it's very unlikely they add up to ~4gb as listed in the color coded bar.
wheres the extra gb's coming from? likely the same culprit of what filled up "standby" memory for me and others. it looks like this patch relative to this problem merely recategorizes the bloat - just changes the title it falls under.

    Dear cons
We have created a p.o of 10 quantity. We received & post the invoice of 10 quantities. Is there any setting available to close or delete the p.o without using short close indicator & deletion indicator. Another question is for this P.o we donot want to change the quantity. That means amendment of p.o Particularly quantity field will not possible. Is there any setting available?

  • Lazy TreeModel questions...

I'm considering a TreeModel that lazily instantiates its data when required.
Essentially it won't bother loading data for a node until getChildCount is called for that node. This works alright - getChildCount doesn't get called until the nodes are expanded in the view.
However, I would also like the data to be refreshed when a node is closed and expanded again. One way would be to discard the data when the node is collapsed. Another way could be to rebuild the data on the treeExpanded event. The latter seems dangerous - firing a nodeStructureChanged on the node that has just expanded will cause it to close again! That just leaves discarding the data when the node is collapsed; easy.
The problem comes from getChildCount being called on some nodes that are not open but which have previously been opened. This leads to the model reloading the data for nodes that are not open in the view.
Has someone got a more comprehensive idea of when getChildCount will be called by a JTree?
I incorrectly assumed it would be only if the following were true:
    1. The node was expanded in that JTree
    2. isLeaf returns false
Perhaps there's something more involved going on with the UI not trusting the isLeaf method?
I'd appreciate any thoughts on a lazy TreeModel which might experience unnotified changes to the underlying data.
    Thanks in advance guys.

It would appear that BasicTreeUI attempts to optimise its calls to getChildCount by trying to avoid calling until the node is expanded. However, once it's expanded a node it will happily continue calling getChildCount. Thus collapsing a node will still leave it thinking that it's safe to continue calling getChildCount to check whether an expand control is needed. Of course that's correct behaviour because the underlying model shouldn't have changed without firing an appropriate event.
Firing a nodeStructureChanged event when the node closes, indicating to the tree that the underlying data has been discarded has sorted things out.
Sorry for answering my own question!
Still, if anyone's got any views on lazy tree models having written some of their own I'd be glad to hear them.

  • How do you hold a PR?

    hI aLL,
Is it possible to hold a PR? If yes how so?
    Thanks,
    Savindi

    HI,
Once you have created a PR and you want to hold it (No further process like PO creation or RFQ).
Than You can use Purchase requisition closed indicator under Qty./Dates Tab, Tick Close.
Close indicator use to flag purchase requisition as closed, that means no further purchase orders are to be created for this pr.
But you want to hold than also you can use this indicator (Close), and when you want to do further process like create po or rfq. again run tcode me52n and remove close indicator from pr and save. it will allow to do further process.

  • Set up purchase requistions "Closed" automatically after creation of PO

    We have following requirement
Purchase requistions should be "Closed" automatically after creation of Purchase order. Purchase orders are created manually.
Is there any settings or config to achieve this?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello
The closed indicator (EBAN-EBAKZ) could only be set manually within the transaction ME52N or when converting the purchase requisition into a PO. via transaction ME21 or ME21N.
In the case you use transaction ME21 or ME21N to create the PO with reference to purchase requisition the 'closed' flag has to be set manually. In ME21 before you adopt the item, in ME21N the indicator to close the PReq in ME21N is in the delivery schedule tab of the item details at the far right end of the window.
In the change requisition transaction ME52N, set the close indicator.
In ME57, while creating a PO with reference to a requisition, set the close indicator on the item selection screen (SAPMM06E, 0125).
You are able to create multiple PO's from the same requisition;  however, once the total quantity of the PReq has been assigned to PO's, your quantity of the PReq will be 0.
In other words, when you go to ME21N or ME21 and you create with reference to a previously fully assigned requisition, you will be prompted to make an entry in the quantity field, as there is  nothing left on the requisition to pull from.  This should be an alert to the user that there are no selectable quantities available for the item.  This prevents double ordering.
If you want to prevent the requisition to be used again, you should set the closed indicator for the item in the requisition.  The closed indicator is never set automatically.  When creating a purchase order in reference to this requisition, you should select the 'open only' flag.  If the closed indicator has been set for the requisition, you will receive a message that no data satisfying selection criteria exist
    Thanks

  • Closing the qty of PR which was already processed.

There are a PR of 1000 qty and user has done the PO, gr and IV of 100 qty.
Now requirement is to close the pr or change the qty for remaning qty(900),
bcoz its showing open qty and they don't want to use these qty.
There are many PR like that.
so there are any procedure to do it.

    hi,
    In addition to above...
You can use the close indicator given at the PR...
    But ...
System will still allow you to make the PO referencing this PR...Although the open qty doesn't change....
So, i would suggest you to change the PR manually...
