PR of the Activity Element

Hi experts,
In my project, we have the requirement from the our client that they want to manage the PR of the Activity Element with the same number with the PR of the External Activity which it belongs to. I gave them the solution that make the same PR number to all the activity in the Network (Collectivity PR). But they refused, they want the PR of the External Activities have different PRs Number but the PR of the Activity Element with the same number with the PR of the External Activity which it belongs to. This is the scenario:
- Activity 1                          -
> PR number : 00000001 - 010
       + Activity Element 1     -
> PR number : 00000001 - 020
       + Activity Element 2     -
> PR number : 00000001 - 030
- Activity 2                          -
> PR number : 00000002 - 020
       + Activity Element 1     -
> PR number : 00000002 - 020
       + Activity Element 2     -
> PR number : 00000002 - 020
So do you have any solution for this.

try in txn OPUV for your network type with collective requisition ticked
if that is not working then you have to use some exit as it cannot be done via std sap
use txn SMOD to get all the ps exits enter CN* and check if any is suitable
also you can try with different networks ie create one network for internal and another for external with different settings and different network types

Solved From PM side

Plan cost for activity element

My internal activity can calculate plan cost from a workcenter properly , but while I append a activity element(internal) and add the same worcenter and data the activity element does not calculate plan cost , but if I confirm the activity element it gives actual cost.
What possibly be the problem could any one tell me? is there any setting seperately for activity element?

Thanks. I am using CJ20N and then selecting the activity element I am following the path edit>cost>Plan/actual
When I try to recaulutate the cost by edit>cost>update cost then I get generic error :
"Object was not costed
Message no. CK060
Diagnosis
The system could not find any entries that are relevant to costing.
System Response
The system did not cost the object.
Procedure
Check whether the following objects should be flagged as relevant to costing:
Items in the BOM
Display BOM
Operations in the routing
Control key in the routing
1. Look at the message log.
2. Check whether a quantity was specified in the confirmation."
But while calculate cost for an internal activity it is calculating cost.

Activity Elements in CJ20n

Hi ppl,
We are facing a problem here of locating the workcenter for the activity elements
which will be used in the CJ20N.Can anybody of u let me know from where
we have to pick the value or the tables from where we have to obtain the
value of the corresponding workcenter for an activity element.

What if you control it using User status and assigning authorization code in OK02 and assign this code again in users roles to allow disallow them to release activity. See attachment below:
The same way you can do for display of project by creating a z-authorization object and assign it in users roles.

Auto Confirmation of Activity Elements on confirming an Activity

When i confirm an activity in CJ2B i.e when i give a percentage of completion to an activity,
the activity elements under that activity should automatically be overridden by the percentage given...
irrespective of the earlier percenatge of the elements..
eg : earlier data
Activity/Activity Element       percen of completion.
Excation                                  10%
       helper                                 2%
       jcb                                      25%
now when i confirm excavation as 50 % ...it sould auto upadte the activity as

Is there any setting for such a funtionality or do i have to use some BAPIs ...IF BAPIs then what are the BAPI name.

Even I am working on the same scenario.
The way I handled the scenario is slightly different.
I havent created them as activity elements as you are aware that there would huge quantum of data.
In my project, I need to capture labor and material requirements for whole month for all activities.
So I had created all labor as materials. I have included them in BOM. Exploded the BOM thereby genarating hte material and labor requirements.
Once I get the labor requirements, I have created the same as Serivce PO and created a dummy vendor. I am doing Service entry but no service acceptance as my scenario doesnt suggest me to capture the actual cost of subcontracting manpower. They wanna track only Plan Vs Actual.
Check the report for service entries. I could able to manage to get Plan Vs actual from different reports.

I tried the FM BAPI_NETWORK_MAINTAIN
it is giving me an error saying the reciver function missing.

I've gone through the OPSC, but the thing is that here you define a user status profile at network plant level. But I need to define it at network activity level.
The reason why I need this is because we have types of activities. We use network activities for client activities, for internal activities, to identify and follow-up risk management, etc. Each group of activities -since they have different usages- has different user status associated. But as I don't have any way to assign different user status profiles, all the activities have the same statuses, although they will only use some of them.

I just figured out a solution. I connected my ipod to my computer, went to the 'info' tab on the menu for my ipod. I checked 'Sync Mail Accounts', which were greyed out until I selected them. That connected me to the Cloud and everything went back to normal. Hope this helps someone else!

Want to change the cost element for a activity type (KP26)

Hi,
I want to change the Allocation cost element for an activity type in KP26. I have already changed the cost element in the activity master data in KL02. Now i want to change it in KP26. I am trying to delete the existing line item in KP26 to create the new line item with the new cost element, but system not allowing to delete the existing one. It throws the error message ""Allocations with XXXXXXX/XXXX (Cost center/Activity type) exist ; deletion not possible". Can someone please help me to change the cost element?

Thanx for you people for helping me. i havin gone doubt here. If i am deleting the existing line in KP26 and create new line with appropriage cost element will it be cause the existing datas? I don't want to go for another activity type, because our process is a complex process exist all over the world in more than 300 company codes. So i want to use the existing activity type but want to change the allocation cost element alone. Is there any possibility to change the cost element alone?

Assign personal resource to the internal activity element with diff. UOM.

Is it possible to assign personal resource to the internal processing activity ELEMENT if the unit of measure for the work assigned is different than the unit of measure of the internal processing ACTIVITY.....

My activity type UOM and the work UOM are the same.
I would explain again the scenario, I have created a internal processing activity and the work UOM is HR as well as the activity type UOM is HR and to that i have assigned an internally processing activity element with work UOM as M3 and the activity type UOM also as M3.
Now, while i am in CMP2, I am not able to assign the work force to both activity and activity element. The conflict is the UOM. Hope now I am clear.

Type (..) of the context element (..) in view (..) does not exist

Hi all
I have got an question. I have an ABAP webdynpro with a context node which is connected to an ABAP structure.
The context node is mapped to a context node of a view and the fields of the view are mapped to the context node of the view. So the data is send through them. That works fine.
Within this ABAP structure i have added 3 extra new fields. After creating them i activated the structure.
Within the webdynpro i have updated the context mapping between the node and the structure and also between the different mappings between the views and the componentcontroller where this node is used,
Within the context tab of all the views i see all the three new fields.
When i try to map those fields to a field in the screen it cannot be done. i get the following message:
Type (..) of the context element (..) in view (..) does not exist
Anf the new fields are gray.
Does anybody know the solution for this?

I had tried to map the structure and re-create the node on several levels in my web-dynpro, but there was no change after this changes.
When i created an own dataelement and an own domain in my ABAP structure, it worked.
I could select them in the webdynpro. But why????
i still not get it..

I have a provider hosted app in sharepoint which works locally without problem. I followed this tutorial to publish it to azure

The issue here is the mapping of the interface to the service in question, and usually points to a possible mistype or rename of something within your service architecture.
You need to make sure your namespace and service name here match your service name itself.

How to Use MRS Functionality at Activity Elements Level?

When we use Multi Resource Scheduling for resources in PS, we specify "Resource planner process" as process variant at the network header and the Resource planner node.
In the other hand, at the network operation level we are able to choose the same Process variant and the system displays the planner node to start planning; however we cannot do that when using activity elements because the icon to search the Resource planner is gray out.
How can I use MRS functionality at activity elements level?
