PR Overall Release Startegy not working if Purchase Org Included

Hi All,
We are trying to configure a PR Release Strategy for Overall Release. IF purchase Org is included as one of the characteristics the strategy does not get applied to the PR. On removing PORG it works fine.
Any suggestions / pointers how to use porg as one of the characteristics for Overall PR Release strategy.

Are you using alpha or numeric Purchasing orgs?
Could it be that you have entered the values in lower case?

Thanks for your help.
I have resolved that issue.
Now I am facing another problem.I am having release strategy with release codes R1,R2,R3,R4.
For certain amount say 1-99 I need only R1 approval.
and 100-199 the Po should go to R2 approval only and for 200-299 it should go to R3 level approver.But for amount >300 PO need both R3 and R4 approval.The PO should go for R4 Release after R3 Release.
R1,R2,R3 levels are working fine as the PO goes only at one level.But for R4 it not working.
The users are selected based on the roles assigned.
I am using a Ztable to get the roles where release code,group and roles are populate.
For each Release code are assigned Say for R1 it is ZR1 and R2 it is ZR2 etc...for each level the users selected based on roles say for R1 ---users will have roles ZR1.
But at R4 level I need to select the users for both ZR3 and ZR4.
When I am triggering the WF using Purchase order as Po number and Release code as R4 it is not selecting R3 roles.
I am using the user exit for the user determination based on roles.
Can anyone please help me on how to resolve this.

My question is: Currently, plant is set as one of the characteristic in the release strategy. Hence, this problem!!
Now, we need to remove this "plant" and maybe consider including Company code or Purchase organization as the characteristic.
1. Pl tell me how to implement this?

Discoverer Reports does not work in Multi-org Environment after R12 Upgrade

Discoverer Reports does not work in Multi-org Environment after R12 Upgrade. Created a simple report using the below query:
SELECT po_header_id, segment1, type_lookup_code
FROM po_headers
WHERE segment1 = '5000002'
Query works perfectly fine; when i set the ORG_CONTEXT in the database using the command:
EXEC mo_global.set_policy_context('S',129)
But the report doesn't fetch any data when ran from an Org based responsibility. We've ensured that the MO: Operting Unit is set accurately and general Oracle reports (PLSQL Program OR XML Publisher) are working perfectly fine.

I followed the steps provided in Metalink Note: 732826.1 - It works for some responsibilities where the MO: Security Profile is not set; but fails for those responsibilities where the MO: Security Profile is set.
I am looking for specific solution that works irrespective of either the MO: Operating Unit profile is set of not.
Please suggest. Appreciate your response.

- Tried this option; but this option is messing up a couple of Oracle Standard Functionalities.
- For ex: If i set this profile option; we are not able to create any receipts using Custom Responsibilities.
I am able to create the receipt, when i remove this profile option.
No Data Shows for Reports in Discoverer 10g with Applications Release 12 [ID 1054380.1]
- I see that the products i am running these reports from AR/GL - already exists in these tables.
Anything other options??

Release Strategies not works - When multiple material group in a single P.O

Hai,
This related to Release Strategies in SAP- IS -Retail.
The Material group was one of the character in the Rel Strgy.
1) If i create a P.O for the item which is related to " X" material group , Rel Strgy been set to P.O
2) If i create a P.O for the item which is related to " Y" material group , Rel Strgy been set to P.O
If I combine material group "X' & "y" in a same Purchase order , then RELEASE STRATGY NOT BEEN SET TO P.O .
How to make this as possible in SAP -IS-Retail - Version 6.0

Generally it is not advisable to use item level characteristics for overall release . Please refer the sap note 493900
Cost Center values (CEBAN-KOSTL) and Vendor values (CEBAN-LIFNR) in the release strategy characteristics should be entered with leading zeros.
This is true for the other structures as well (CEKKO and CESSR). See note 52225.
For OVERALL RELEASE (purchase order and purchase requisition) the item fields such as Plant and Material Group will be aggregated to header level.
For example you use Plant as one of your characteristics. If all items do not belong to the same plant then the relase strategy will not be found unless you have maintained a blank value as one of your allowed values for the characteristic Plant. If all items belong to the same plant then that plant is aggregated to the header; if one or more is different then a blank is aggregated to the header. See note 47089.
you have to maintain blank value in CT04 for material group and the same thing must be maintained for all strategies.
The release procedure for purchasing documents is carried out on header level. For this, the following values are aggregated from the items on header level:
item value
plant
material group
Example WERK:
The plant is only aggregated on header level if all items contain the same plant. If only one alternative plant exists, ' ' is aggregated on header level.
A release strategy is then searched for with this value.
Of course, a corresponding strategy is only found if the value ' ' was maintained for the characteristic 'Value' as an object value.
The same functionality applies to the plant

PO Release TAB not trigered in Purchase Order

Dear all,
We have created a Release strategy in our test system.Its works fine.But when we create the same in our clients development
system the "Release Strategy "Tab is not triggered in Purchase order.We did the following steps while creation
1) Created new characteristics and class and when we had assigned it to new user group system gives following error
    "Please check release classes (see long text) Message no. ME492".....
2) So we used the existing class in clients system and assigned new required values in characteristics (Plant,Purch.Org,
   Company code,total net order value,Purch.Group).
3) In classification tab we get all the required value and no problem to release strategy.In "CHECK RELEASE STRATEGIES"
     system shows green signal for Release code and release strategy..
Kindly suggest were we went wrong????

Hi,
You should use only release class for PO.Hope one release class assigned to release group(TR transported to dev-client) & now you created another release class and want to assign to release group, so you are getting the error. Now create same release class which assigned to release group & design release strategy and you will have release TAB in PO.
Note:Better to keep one release class always for purchasing documents....ie.......one release class for PR, one release class for PO, one release class for Contract & one release class for SES.

Release Strategy not working for MRP generated PR

I have one qurey. Currently we are release strategy for normal PR.Now client want to activate release strategy for MRP generated PR.
current Release Strategy for normal PR configured as following.
Purchase requisition document     RV
Purchase requisition document     ZADV
Purchase requisition document     ZIMP
Purchase requisition document     ZSER
Purchase requisition document     ZSTD
Purchase requisition document     ZSTR
Purchasing group     A01
Total value of requisition for     > 1.00 INR
Creation indicator (purchase r     Realtime (manual)
Overall release of purchase re     Yes
For MRP generated PR I add creation indicator B - Material requirements Planning.Even after add creation indicator release strategy is not triggering for PR.
To trigger PR any setting need to do other than add creation indicator.

Hi
You don't have to include creation indicator as parameter. Check in what documnet type MRP PR is generated. You can see it in t.code OMDT. At document type level also you can manage it. You need to include creation indicator only if a seperate person approves MRP generated PR.

PR (Header level) release strategy not working

Hi all,
I have configured release procedure for PR - Header level release(i.e. With classification). My scenario is as below,
If PR value is <=1000 INR and Plant 1000 Two persons will release the PR. I.e., Release codes A1 and A2.
If PR value is >1000 INR and Plant 1000 Three persons will release the PR. I.e., Release codes A1,A2 and A3.
i have created Two charac(for Plant and Value), one class(Assigned the characs to it), one group, 3 release codes, and 2 Release stratergies (i.e.S1 and S2). All the settings are fine. But when I create PR, system takes only the first Release stratergy by default. That is irrespective of the valuation price in PR system by default takes S1 release stratergy only. Even for higher value PR system is not taking S2 stratergy. I have given correct values in the classification field. Why does this happen? Release procedure without classification is not configured.
Note: I have even ticked overall release for document type NB

Hi all,
One thing is clear now. System is not all considering the value characteristics. Its only considering Plant character(WERKS). Thats why by default its taking first release stratergy since both have plant value as 1000 in classification view.
Just now i checked by using sinlge character. For release class with plant as character the release procedure is working fine but for class with value as character release is not at all getting hit.
Note:
1.My company code currency is EUR. My characteristic currency is USD. While i create PR in valuation price system by default selects EUR. I am manually changing it to USD. Is that correct?
2. Still my new posting period is not yet open.
Is there the problem is somethig related to above?

PR Item Level Release WF not working after Release Strategy change

Hi Experts,
           I did PR item Level Release Standard Work flow and it was working fine now due to client requirement we changed the release strategy and now when the PR workflow triggers it gives the Below mentioned error.
I really don't understand y after changing the release strategy workflow is not working and giving the following error.
Even if i restart the workflow in SWPR the same error is occuring.

and see what happends in section
    CASE t16fc-frgwf.

If using the T16FW-table, it should go to '1', otherwise it may that a user exit under '9' is used. So please check this.

Release strategy not working

Hi All,
I am working on a release procedure.All the release procedure configurations have been done for PO release .I have modified the user exit that determines the approvers which is a part of role 2000027 and I am using the standard WF 20000075 itself.
But after that when I creating a PO it is not triggering the WF.
When I am test the WF in SWUS by giving PO number and release code,its working fine.
But when I am Creating PO from ME21N workitem is not going to the user.
Can anyone please help me to resolve this.

Does the PO have any Release Strategy tab in the Header of the PO. If not then your Release strategy is not configured in SPRO. Search this forum for configuration
2)If the PO has Release Strategy tab then please check in SWE2 whether the Linkage between the event and Workflow is activated. If not activate it. Also please check entries in SWEL Transaction code.

Intrastat does not work for purchase documents

Hi,
I do have the problem, if I want to do an Intrastat message, that the supplier is will not be shown in step 4.
I am not sure if this is only related to suppliers, but sales documents like returns or credit notes are taken.
I tried to create an Import message. It seems to be that the complete purchase sector does not work.
I already tried the following things:
- Change the currency of the document to EUR.
- Change the purchase country to Finland from China.
- Adding UID numbers in the document. Chinese suppliers do not have UID numbers.
Has anybody an idea?

Push email not working since purchasing iPhone 3G

Yesterday I bought an iPhone 3G to upgrade from my old iPhone. With the old iPhone and 2.0 installed, push email worked fine, as did the calendar and contacts to the most part.
When setting my new iPhone up, I told it to set up like my old iPhone which it did, but now push mail is not working. Calendar and contacts are fine, just mail. I've tried switching things on and off, restarting the phone, etc. but all to no avail. I've even deleted the MobileMe (who ever names these things should be shot... from now on I will call it iTools!) account, and recreated it using the assitant on the iPhone, but still nada... I still have to fetch the emails.
Anyone got any ideas. Thanks.

iTools would be a stupid name too. It is not a set of tools, it is a set of features for your MOBILE phone. and it's like Microsoft Exchange whose first letters are M and E. i'm sure that ain't their reason, but it's just fine by me.
As for your problem, I've had some intermittent problems with my mobileme email being pushed as well. i'd say about 75% of the time it works (98.2% of statistics are randomly made up on the spot, including all those in this message!). i just chalk it up to growing pains and hope it fixes itself soon or i'll go back to my Exchange server which has been flawless so far.

Jdev 10g lastest release download not working

Weblogic 9.1/10 not working on jsp:directive.include file="file.jspf"/

Does anyone know how to get rid of this problem? I have a jsp page including a sun java studio creator created page fragment using the tag:
<jsp:directive.include file="myHeader.jspf"/>
here myHeader.jspf is a page fragment.
after deployment, weblogic server report error as:
weblogic.servlet.jsp.CompilationException: Failed to compile JSP /Page1.jsp

The "jsp:directive.include" tag is only valid in an well-formed XML file that specifies all the relevant namespaces. The "jsp:include" tag is used in a JSP file. I'll bet the beginning of your file shows that you don't have a valid and well-formed XML file.
If you found that "jsp:include" worked, then that confirms you have an ordinary JSP file here. Why are you trying to use the XML form? The result of "jsp:include" in a JSP file will be exactly the same as the analogous tag in an XML file.

HTML5 output is not working on mobile devices, including iPads and iPhones

Hello,
I posted a question about this last week but had no reply. So I'm posting it again as it presents a serious problem for anyone wanting to publish content to mobile devices from Captivate 6.
The problem is that HTML5 quiz content runs incrediably slowly (it at all) and crashes the brower on mobile devices. I have tested this on an iPhone and 2 iPads in 2 different locations.
This is a demo that shows the problems: http://sshls-dev.port.ac.uk/captivate_problems/
(Running this demo on a standard laptop / PC will be fine and it will work perfectly. The problem only appears when the content is viewed on a mobile device).
The problem is more extreem in the 'shorthand' demo. The quiz loads up the first question and then when I press submit it either freezes or closes the browser (Safari) completly. Occasionally it will progress to questions 2 or 3 but then the same happens.
I am keen on finding an answer / workaround becuase at the moment it effectively means that Captivate cannot be used to display quizes on phones / iPads.
I would be very grateful if anyone knows how to solve this problem to let me know.
